I signed up to take the train to Gary, IN later today to canvass and register new voters. Now that I've looked at the weather forecast, I'm going find somewhere indoors and closer to home to volunteer. It sounds like an exaggeration, but Accuweather.com is literally predicting thunderstorms from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m. A little rain is one thing; an 11-hour downpour with thunder and lightning is something else altogether.
