It is official! The Albany for Obama Campaign Office is up and running. We had a great kick off today with more than 25 people and several news television stations. I want to thank all of you who helped decorate the office in the past few days. It really does look great. Everyone is invited to stop by and say hello. And while you are there, please stick around and spend some time volunteering. We need all the help that we can get. There are a lot of activities coming up this weekend. Here are a few of them:
FRIDAY NIGHT!
Join us on Friday night in Troy for “Obama Night Out” at the month Troy Night Out.
Troy Night Out is a monthly arts and cultural event that takes place the last Friday of every month in downtown Troy from 5 - 9 PM. The event regularly draws over 1,000 people onto the streets of Troy, and attendees are able to enjoy over 30 art events, 15 music venues, and over 20 fine restaurants as well as unique boutiques of all varieties. Throughout the night, the Troy Trolley will be making rounds of the city, providing free transportation to all event attendees and stopping at major event destinations. Free parking is available on-street and in several city garages. Maps highlighting all of the evening's activities are available in the Metroland, here on TroyNightOut.org, and at all participating venues and businesses.
We will be set at The Atrium, 297 River Street in downtown Troy from 5-9pm on Friday night January 25th. Tom McWatters, a local musician will be performing live. We need some volunteers to staff the table and answer questions. Click HERE for more details.

Honk For Hope at Westgate Shopping Plaza, Central Ave. Albany
Throughout the day today Obama supporters will gather to hold a "Honk for Hope". Obama supporters will hold signs and banners in several highly visible locations to wave to drivers as they pass bye. Meet at Westgate Shopping Plaza on Central Avenue at 11:30am. Meet in the plaza (Central and Colvin) under the big Westgate Plaza sign. We are going to stand on the sidewalks along Central Ave. Bring your signs! We have some but we need more.
