Thousands of people showed up to the St. John Arena at Ohio State University in Columbus to hear Barack speak today, and the "Buckeyes for Obama" were excited to hear him.Barack spoke about his plan to help homeowners avoid foreclosures. As President, he will create a fund to help people refinance their mortgages and provide comprehensive support to innocent homeowners. The fund will be partially paid for by increased penalties on lenders who act irresponsibly and commit fraud.Myles, Mason, Valerie, and Ashlee from Waverly were fired up to hear Barack!
Eager to hear a candidate who gets everybody energized, Myles believes that Barack is "the person to lead the country into change." Mason likes how "Barack listens to what the people have to say and brings ordinary voices to the streets of Washington."
What appeals most to these four students is Barack’s plans for health care and the economy. They believe that Barack has the ability to carry out his plans and ideas for this country. Looking into the future, they want someone who can bring unity the country and believe that Barack is the best person for that job. These four have already voted early to show their support for Barack.Jen, who lives in Columbus, brought her mom to the event to show her love and support for Barack. Jen likes Barack’s ability to bring people together, how he is not about politics as usual, and focuses on what is right for the country as a whole. She believes that the next President needs to unite Washington and Barack has the ability to work with both Republicans and Democrats.
