I LOVE This new message Barack is using since Philly last night. The whole "Declare Independence from the Same old Politics". That's an excellent message that only he can preach. I think it really resonates the difference between him and Hillary.
I also Love the coverage on CSPAN. The crowd shots and shots of the capital are beautiful

Then you have Barack and his family.
Won't it be wonderful to have these exceptional intelligent family men, excellent fathers and husbands, steering our nations future.

Everytime McCain and he were seen together,or even thought of together, nothing further would need to be said.

Good point. McCain use to be the maverick of the republican party but he has really changed over the past few years. I think he's going to lose his independant status, and votes, because of it.

Check this out from the Pocono Record, Stroudsberg, PA:
Ironically, Clinton drew an endorsement from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, owned and published by Richard Mellon Scaife. The billionaire conservative personally funded many of the Republican investigations that plagued Bill Clinton while he was president.
Ironic? Indeed. The gentleman who helped to go after her husband now endorses her? Very curious. I wanted to put this on here so it goes up the chain to the Senator. To me, this indicates exactly what we have all come to know, Senators Clinton and McCain represent old style politics that are influenced and even controlled by special interests and lobbyist. Why would someone who was trying to discredit your family now suddenly support you. I guesss he is practicing forgiveness?

Why I, Pro-Hillary, Changed.Submitted by swuzy on Sat, 2008-04-19 09:52.
Why I, Pro-Hillary, Changed.
I was very much pro Hillary from the beginning of the campaigns. I still very much like her policy positions, her speeches, her personal enthusiasm, her energy, and very appealing projected cheerful positive personality.
There is not that much difference between her underlying positions and Obama's.
However over time, and a deeper reading and review of Obama's many positions, speeches, anecdotes and reviews of Obama's leadership capabilities, mental and strategic insightfulness and adaptability, and underlying personality, I have come to believe that Obama is much much more substantial in all qualities as a presidential candidate.
The last straw of disappointment came with the unforgettably repeated Bosnia whoppers and the subsequent attempts to dismiss questions about it. I worried that it might be the tip of the iceberg. There are several possibilities each of which is not good:
1. Does she really miss-remember? If so, what does that say about the acuteness of her Presidential mental tools? I.e., we are in trouble.
2. Does she fantasize and develop an extremely detailed fantasy of the events and then believed her embellished fantasy? If so, what does that say on how we can trust her in forming the foundations of her judgments in the future as a president? I.e., we are in trouble.
3. Does she deliberately and consciously lie and in detail, to further herself? If so, does that show an underlying weakness towards using that type of a crutch in critical pressure situations either to steam roller others or to hide a position or worse? I.e., we are in trouble.

Looking at several video clips related to this Bosnia issue, it is very obvious to any honest person that she blatantly and deliberately LIED about sniper fire.
And she still gets to "define" how her obvious LIE about sniper fire is reported by the bias media (MSN). Virtually every one of the media outlets would say she "misspeak" (or "misspoke"), rather than simply say - she WILLFULLY LIED about sniper fire, and that was an insult to the American people.
You know she willfully lied and did not "misspeak" when she refer to Sinbad as "a comedian", when ask about Sinbad's comment on the Bosnia trip.

The media (MSN) in general is part of the many-headed monster that is fighting against Obama. They fear that he will really bring the substantial change he is talking about. The kind of change I sincerely believe would be in the very best interest of the overwhelming majority of Americans and the rest of the World.

Sacramento had a great turnout of callers today. People came to our local office and called voters in PA. I met some good folks, had a conversation with some of my fellow volunteers, ate some snacks, bought some buttons and made a few hours of calls to PA. It was great fun. I will be going back on Monday to do some more.
I invite everyone to do calls in the next 2 days. Go to your local office or do it at home. We will win in PA.

I wasn't very involved in the campaign when Obama was in SC. I did vote for him and my family and extended family did the same, but I wish I had been more involved then.
Anyway, thank you for what you have done today!

The host is exploring the "elite" comment as many AA see it as an "uppity" insult. I know that this point has been discussed on previous threads and I wanted to inform and let anyone who was interested in this discussion to have a chance to see what PA voters think about it.

We went to the Kyi-Yo PowWow at the University of Montana here in Missoula and it was great. I don't know of any other culture where i tis traditional for young and old to participate in dancing. It was sweet to see the little children working on their dance steps. But it just made me think of how much we miss when we don't include everybody, all ages. It is really all about family at the PowWows.
They were selling t-shirts that had Indian chiefs on the shirt and it said, "Fighting terrorism since 1492." I think that is a good one! I wish now I had bought one...anyway, the drumming, the family atmosphere--it was great. Thank you all for reminding us what life is all about-family.

Good news! I was out canvassing in PA today and got a really great response. Actually, most people weren’t home, but of those that were, it was easily 3 in 4 for Barack! I was so encouraged! But, because I was out all day, I wasn’t able to post this message. And I’m going to be on the ground in PA all day tomorrow, too. Would you consider giving to one of these fine people?
We have 16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5 -4 days to give to Pennsylvania. This campaign has thus far raised about twice as much as The Other campaign. But we’ve got to keep going, we must finish this thing off. There are many ways to support this campaign, one way is to give. The list totals $11,703-$11,653-$11,613-$11,30 7-$11,107-$10,897-$10,852-$10, 847-$10,745 right now. I challenge this blog and this camping to knock off these 10-9-8 names by the Pennsylvania primary.
If you have never given before, be one of the new donors to help us reach the 1,500,000 to give to the campaign so far. Are you sitting on the sideline or are you in the fight?
The Top Ten List:
1. Mama For Obama has been sitting up here for a while. Can anyone give the max donation of $2300? She made her page on Jan 17 in honor of Future First Lady Michelle Obama's birthday, the “#1 mama”. $4491-$4476-$4471-$4461-$4351- $4326-$4276-$4256-$4241-$4191- $4166-$4141-$4116-$4106-$4096- $4071-$4046-$3996-$3971-$3951- $3926-$3876-$3861-$3836-$3586- $3576-$3481-$3456-$3431-$3421- $3396-$3346-$3261-$3036-$3000- $2990-$2980-$2950-$2905-$2900- $2890
Link
3. New To This has raised much of her $5,000 but still is lacking $1475-$1465-$1455-$1420-$1410- $1400-$1390-$1380-$1370-$1345- $1320-$1300-$1280
Link
4. Jill helped another Obama friend raise over $800. Now she needs help. Can we give her some? $1665-$1655-$1665-$1645-$1619- $1519-$1469-$1459-$1438
Link
5. Denise wrote, “A year ago I would have never imagined I'd be spending a Saturday making calls soliciting support for a political candidate. For that matter blogging, sign waving, or reading every word a health care plan… Can anyone can help out?” Well? $900-$875-$850-$740-$715-$680- $615-$605-$595-$575-$540 to go.
Link
6. Willie B writes: If one has done it so can you, if no one has done it that one can be you. He’s looking for $1000-$855-$845-$825-$810 -$760-$735
Link
7. Here’s Gigi, who’s fundraising on behalf of her grandson. Her fundraising goal is based on her family’s lucky number 27, as in $2700…make that $2660-$2598-$2558-$2523-$2498- $2493-$2393-$2346

9. Futbol Mom is an “automatic monthly donor”. She’s been giving for a while. Now she needs $786-$476.

Yesterday I posted messages from my friend Helen who lives here in California. She is in Philly now volunteering for Barack. Here's her post from last night after the rally. (The first two posts are on my blog if you want to read them.)
Helen writes:
It's almost 10 PM and we are in the cocktail lounge of an Omni hotel. After standing for almost 7 hours on the grass at Independence Mall, WE SHOOK OBAMA'S HAND! We were in the front of that crowd you always see just behind the barriers, right in front of the podium. It was the most incredible experience and so rewarding after all these months. We got pics that I will send along.
There were about 35,000 people on the mall. We waited and stood with people from all over Philly. The comraderie was evident and the enthusiasm palpable. One gal bought a button for me because I let her use my mirror so she could fix her makeup. It was a setting that could have caused conflict just because everyone was hot and tired from standing. The calmness of the crowd in that setting was what John Lennon wrote about in "Imagine.". When I was in college we used a slogan, Power to the People. Well tonight, the people had the power-to unite and come together for a common purpose - to bring about change in this country.
I am proud to be a part of this campaign and thrilled to once again feel like I can make a difference.

I just got this from her now about her day of canvassing...
We just spent 2 hours walking door to door in a very poor neighborhood of NE Philly. It is soooo hot! Each time we talk to an undecided voter who walks away saying he/she will vote for Obama, we are uplifted. We are waiting for 2 other volunteers also working this neighborhood. We'll be going back to find out our next assignment.
Because it is Saturday, there are scores of volunteers like us pounding the pavement. Barack is right about working rom the bottom up. This is how to engage people in the political process and bring them together for a common purpose.
The people we meet tell their stories of financial hardship, of their desire for a better life, of the "politricks" of which they are tired. A lot of them don't believe life can't be better. It is sad and inspiring at the same time. Makes me want to work harder especially for education.
More later.

THANK you President Elect Obama, Family, we the people and HQ Team!
For giving me a my lost dreams back and inspiring "HOPE" that they can and will happen again...
Here is a bit about me: Disabled First American living on SSD. Not by choice but by a series of extreme accidents, nearly killed by 2 drunk drivers while at stop lights in SoCal and one lunch time hit and run car pedestrian event in 2003 (unsolved-I am one of 13% that survive annually) that left me with multiple head, physical injuries as well as ongoing PTSDO.
Also while hospitalized as a jon doe (un-know person) for 6 months while in a coma, my insurance ceased due to non payment, lost my great job, ended up loosing a 750,000.00 condo, a SUV and the quality of life of living in the amazing hills of Silver Lake-Los Feliz area in Los Angeles for 22 yrs.
I could say I am bitter, but I am not, I struggle daily to make my lill bit of money stretch, useless things no longer are important, I am alive and that is all that matters. Go Elitist 13% survivors! is my mantra...LOL
I live with my Foster/Aunt step mom and we share a great house although modest, here in South Dakota, not always easy as it is a small cow town and things are very expensive here, but we make it work as best we can.
Now here is my simple goal, I would like to have at least 2 or more friends from all states and countries from here on our on our B.H.O. Blog family...age, gender, racial heritage, sexual orientation, income level or any thing else makes no difference to me. As i see all people equally...in every situation. I ask this in friendship, not in pity...as i have no need for that emotion in my life.
Thanx my B.H.O. Family for reading this and know that I am secure with the new me and am at a place of great personal peace and excitement in my life...
Thank You again... Barack H. & Michelle Obama!

The last few days have witnessed HRC wallowing in a cesspool of lies: about herself, her record, about Barack, about his record.
What I find shocking is how she has managed to get any traction at all. If Democrats can actually pick a politican this utterly tone deaf to the qualities of charcter necessary to be in the White House, then the Dems have tragically lost their way.
Policy differences aside, the personal decency, honesty and character of BO and HRC are worlds apart. Since Iowa, the HRC has been on a kitchen sink tare of gutter tactics, and to me it reveals something of the character of the woman that is frightening. Contrast that to BO's campaign: issues based, profoundly competent, and unwilling to engage in personal attacks as a stated campaign policy.
That's pure class - something we haven't seen in U.S. politics in a long time.
HRC's philosophy seems to be based on the notion that politics is a bloodsport and lying is a necessary prelude to winning. And so we have this long ugly history of vicious innuendo, distortions, and calculated whispers: Shaheen on drugs, Penn on drugs, Kerry on madrassahs, BC on fairy tales and race, Rendell on whites not voting for blacks, Smith on Muslim garb, HRC on Ayers, Wright, and Rezko, HRC on elitism, etc. That's the SHORT list. Couple that to her lies on Bosnia, Northern Ireland, PACS, guns, and NAFTA, further compounded by the fact that her husband (AND SHE!!) collected $800,000 from a Columbian lobby in support of CFT (while Penn in 2007 collected $300,000) and you get a very scary witches brew of deceit, of the ugly intersection of money and politics, and, more recently, of an orchestrated pandering to blue collar america.
My view is this: BO has started a movement, and at the heart of that movement is a deep desire for honesty in politcs. With regard to HRC, who thinks the path to government is through the gutter:

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Martin Luther King, Jr.
The quote above is one of the universally known King pearls of wisdom and one that applies especially to this nomination race and the up coming general election.
Consider that many the world over neither like nor trust politicians, reasons we neither like nor trust them is because more often than not, come election year they are gregariously congenial, enjoy popular support, seem to be ever present and confoundingly loud when seeking elected office in order to shape and mold domestic and foreign policy.
Only to dumbfound supporters and voters alike after having been elected by becoming obnoxiously insular, conspicuously absent from direct public purview/contact and subsiding into expertise at delivering carefully crafted speeches (to be sure) that are utterly devoid of meaning in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka meat and potatoes), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.
How does Barack stack up with the common negative aspects of politicians in the scenario above?
Barack has demonstrated a willingness and ability to lead on the Invasion of Iraq in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka Iraqi resolution of inter-ethnic/religious conflict), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.
He could have chosen
"comfort and convenience"
when running for state senate office in Illinois. It would have been incredibly easy to adopt no official position or one that was in line with that of the outgoing administration or public opinion, both then strongly in favor of the Invasion. In a
"time of challenge and controversy"
, Barack deliberately chose to depart from the status quo at the time and was numbered among the appallingly few elected officials that opposed the Invasion from the outset, said so publicly and went into detail as to reasons why.

I thought I would post this again a little farther down the blog...
More later.

I think that Barack should do a commercial that says,
" Hi, I am Barack Obama. Undoubtedly you have seen the smears via email, robo call, flyers and even the "news media". They tell you falsely that I am a radical jhihadist in hiding, a Muslim, a Marxist, a racist, a terrorist, and even the antichrist. (Chuckling) Well I am not. I am an American raised by a poor single mom sometimes on food stamps. I know your struggle because I have lived it. Even after graduating college I turned down lucritive jobs 20 years ago to fight for people in your same situation - their jobs had been shipped overseas. I know what it is to be drowning in student load debt because until
fairly recently, I was still paying off hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt of my own. I know the failure of our health insurance system because I had to watch my mother die while worrying about whether the insurance companies would cover her bills and
provide treatment. I want to be your next President because I think that it is time that
you have someone in the Whitehouse that has lived through and can relate to the pain that you are in. So the next time you hear some ridiculous smear against me, remember that it is coming from the same people that asked us to believe that George Bush, NAFTA, and the war in Iraq would be good for America.
I'm Barack Obama and I am asking you to tell them, "NOT THIS TIME". Vote for me April 22,

This article is a great read!
Paglia is nothing if not opinionated (always!), but she puts forth factual information about Hillary I'd never encountered before.
Reading about Hillary's career trajectory, as Paglia relates it, makes you think she's another G W Bush, having gotten most of her breaks and "experience" through influence--in this case, Bill's.
Says Hillary is a policy wonk but not capable as an executive. I'd say, this is reflected in Hillary's campaign dramas. Food for thought for those considering making her chief executive of our country.

The effect he has on people. I don't care if it DOES sound cultish - it's like he's a god. But we know it's so much more than that.
I start crying just watching it on TV - the love & hope in their eyes. It's like nothing we've ever seen...or will ever see again.

It always brings me to tears to see the way the crowd is so diverse, hyped up, and hopeful. You can see it in their eyes. I also love to see people bring their children, with the handmade "Obama for President" signs made by their kids. Thanks to the generosity of many who donated their valuable frequent flyer miles, we sent 29 out-of-state volunteers to Texas and Ohio, and another 32 to Pennsylvania.
This means ***1,525,000 MILES*** have been donated to date – putting ***61 VOLUNTEERS*** on the ground, helping bring it home for Barack.
DONORS: It takes 25,000 miles for a ticket. So – who’s got at least 25,000 on the same airline which they’d like to donate toward making sure Barack Obama is our next President?
Step right up — I’m getting requests almost daily from volunteers who want to help but can’t afford the airfare. Donate now, please, so we can get these people where they’re most needed. *** WE NEED MORE MILES! ***
VOLUNTEERS: If you want to spend a week or more in IN or NC, but can’t afford to pay your own way, contact me and I’ll try to match you with an airline ticket.
Please call me at 714-536-6104 California time. (Don’t reply on the blogs; I probably won’t see your response.)

I just watched them both candidates on CSPAN. Obama and Casey look like 21st Century. Hillary and Rendell look like 19th century.
It's like - 1. HD Digital TV vs Analog TV.
2. A 2009 Sleak Corvette vs Ford Model "T"
3. A Cruise Ship vs A Dingy
4. A 5 course meal vs A Couple of "Twinkies"
This is about "old" (Clinton and Rendell) vs "new" (Obama and Casey)
"Business as usual" in Washington in coming to an end, real soon.

AT LAST! I get some time to rest… Whoaaa!!!
I got into Philly Airport and headed straight for Springfield, Delaware County, where we have one of the best manned regional offices I have ever seen. I didn’t even have time for a nap after flying red eye, and they put me straight to work, arranging a hall for a military surrogate to address veterans later in the day, and then canvassing for a couple of hours with an enthusiastic team of folks from the surrounding states. You have to be in Pennsylvania to see the enthusiasm!!!
I can’t wait for the Convention in August when we’ll be meeting to celebrate Barack’s nomination in grand style.
OK! Before I forget….
PLEASE, HELP! I AM STILL MATCHING ALL SMALL DONATIONS TO MY PERSONAL FUNDRAISER UNTIL APRIL 22ND...
I am still FIRED UP with HOPE for Barack, especially after dusting all the inanities of the last debate off my shoulders. DO IT LIKE BARACK: just shake the dirt off your shoulders, drink water and drive on… to VICTORY!
Pennsylvania is almost here, folks, and we have proved time and time again that we can win big in any state if we really work hard at it. An overwhelming feeling of hope and happiness... YES WE CAN!
Link
I've set my own personal fundraising goal for the campaign, which you can see in the thermometer on my page. YES I CAN!
Link
Just as I did in the past, I will continue to invest as much money in the campaign to win Pennsylvania as you donate to Barack's campaign through my personal fundraiser, up to the amount of $5,000.00.
Link
Please, can you donate to Barack and help me close the matching gap, and add more fuel into our Pennsylvania motivation? YES YOU CAN!

Will you make a generous donation to help me reach my goal, and motivate me further to work even harder for Barack?

The moderators of the debate skillfully left out the issue of lobbying activities of Clintons and her campaign staffs.
Since then, this issue has disappeared from media, ads and this blog.
We need to highlight this issue in PA.:
HRC campaign is infested with lobbyist, including those who work for exporters of PA jobs.
1) Mark Penn took some time off from his all important campaign job and
went to Columbia Embassy to sell PA jobs.
2) Bill Clinton took $800,000 cash for working for jobs exporters of PA jobs.
3) Bill Clinton is earning cash from China. China is where the US jobs being exported at the highest rate.
4) Gas price is near $4/gallon. Bill Clinton is making money from Saudis.
I thought (or hoped) HRC will be confronted with this issue in the debate.
We need to raise these issue in PA again and again.

So, for the next few days, for those of us who are phonebanking, we might want to take special note to provide counterpoints to the robocalls going out from the Clinton campaign about oil companies and this medical tax (what is it anyways? I've never heard of such a tax!):
Link
"In his TV ads, Barack Obama sounds like he'll take on the oil companies," a male voice tells voters in the first attack call. "What he doesn't tell you is that he voted for the Bush-Cheney energy bill, a bill that's been called the best bill energy corporations could buy. Every gallon of gas takes over three bucks from your pocket. So, why would Barack Obama vote for a Bush-Cheney energy bill that has put six billion in the pockets of big oil? Enough talk. It's time for action. Hillary Clinton will take on big oil and she has the experience to get it done."
The second call attacks Obama on his healthcare plan: "Pennsylvania families cannot afford Barack Obama," a stern female voice says. "Barack Obama's health care plan fails to deliver health care for every American, just what the HMO's and pharmaceutical companies want. What's more, Sen. Obama's healthcare plan imposes a $900 hidden tax on families. That's $900 more than anyone should have to pay to stay healthy. Pennsylvania families need a leader they can count on and a fighter who will deliver."

The time is due for our super delegates to pull the weeds as we continue to water the seeds that Obama carefully places, so that we may ALL enjoy the wonderful bounty of our crop next year!
Super Delegates get off your duff's and do your part! Neglecting your duties is only strangling and preventing our entire crop from growing and flourishing! Quit dilly-dallying around; it doesn't take any expert to know what needs to be done and is rightfully the best choice for the entire crop!

I'm sorry, but I cannot stand Johnson, the owner of BET. He is basically stating that black people are proud of Barack Obama (and he snidely adds, "as they should be") but he is quick to assume that blacks are only voting because Obama is black.
Does that mean that the black vote is meaningless? WTH?????
I mean, he can support whomever he wants--that's cool. But don't assume that blacks are voting for Obama because he is black and nothing else.
That is sooooooo condescending!!!!
I don't have the e-mail address for BET, but I know that you can contact someone at bet.com
I am sick of this mess!!!!!
Please, please, please BOYCOTT BET and let Johnson know how you feel!

I think one of the ways Barack can prove to the unbelivers that he is a man of the people is by pleging that he will keep his website(s) up even after he is elected President where regular folk can post questions (provided you have a profile that can be proven)and get answers directly from Obama, of course he would not be able to answer every question, but folks would know that he is still listening us.
Ya'll give me some feedback.

Liberal Blogosphere’s Loss of Any Legitimacy
Regarding election analysis, I have consistently found myself agreeing with the likes of Michelle Malkin, Karl Rove, Ann Coulter and Lou Dobbs. That really bothers me, but this is mainly because of the Dr. Strangelove obsession that white and black, elitist Leftist activists have with Senator Barack Hussein Obama. This group via the leftist and liberal blogospheres have established Senator Barack Hussein Obama as The Boy in the Bubble. Nothing bad can ever be said about him. No tough questions are allowed. All his negatives are not negatives but a product of his being black in America.
