Q: How important do you consider a candidate like Barack Obama to be for the USA?

Draiman: "I think that this may be a necessary building block — this election. I think that seeing as much support as somebody like Obama as a black candidate running for president in a country that historically has had issues with the African-American people, and them having issues vice-versa, is a miraculous thing. And the charisma that he has and his propensity to unify people from all walks of life is a truly admirable and beautiful trait. And I think that that's kind of the person that we need to rectify our image on the world stage as well."

Q: What do you think are Barack Obama's chances of winning the election?

Draiman: "I'm rather skeptical as to whether or not Obama will actually win the presidency. I still hope for it, and to be perfectly honest with you, if it comes down to it and he does have the candidacy, he's getting my vote."

On Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton:

Draiman: "I think she's an embarrassment to herself and everything she represents. I think that she's a two-faced liar. I think that she talks out of one side and then talks out of the other, and she shifts with… whatever. She's a true politician. It's not about a cause to her — it's about getting what's for her. And I think that she would do nothing more than to piss off the rest of the world if she became president.

"I would have no problem with a woman as president — I have a problem with Hillary Clinton as president. I think the right woman could be great. She's not the right woman. She's not the right anything. She's just a liar. [Laughs]"

Hey Friends, I need your help! I'm in the process of compiling a comprehensive list of all the POSITIVE CHANGES that came about as a result of the two Bush Administrations. Here's what I've come up with so far:

1. Kept the brush down in Crawford TX.

Can you think of anything else? Someone earlier suggested "We learned how hard it is to put food on our families", but I think most of us already knew how hard that can be.

Remember: Only POSITIVE CHANGES, no negative stuff, we don't want this list runnin' all the way to Pluto!

I think the only positive change Bush has made in his 2 terms is secure the White House for the Democrats this election. I would say that's pretty positive.

The president's second term has been defined by legislative paralysis, marked by record-low approval ratings, presidential candidates who are running from his shadow, and a lingering war that's sapping his remaining reservoirs of support.

As he enters his final year in office with the war continuing, Republican candidates for president bolting from his shadow, and his party back in the minority in Congress, he is politically weakened, an early entry into lame-duck status.

And the poisonous Washington atmosphere he hoped to cure is just as nasty (or worse) as it was when he came to office seven years ago.

He's left our political institutions much more troubled than they were before. He didn't create the ideological polarization, but he magnified it.

P.S. He's also confirmed the fact that alcohol can (and did) damage brain cells.

Polls have really not been wrong with the exception of NH. Be it a lead of 1% or 9% it is still a lead.

He must WIN PA, that will put this to rest. I have been listening to him on the whistestop tour in PA, and I have a concern.

Please get the message to BARACK to STOP mentioning and dissing HC while stumping these last three days in PA.

The PUBLIC has already spoken and said that it is TIRED of NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING.

Speak the truth, and review, his clear plans for the Economy, WAR, Trade Agreements, Change our Foreign policy, UNITY, a government that he hears OUR voices and NOT JUST BIG BUSINESS, and lastly how we are going to put out people back to work, end the war, reduce gas prices, fix this country's infrastructure, keep people in their homes, save retirment funds, educate our children and STOP DIVISIVE POLITICS.

Sally, I was there, I volunteered, so I was really close and got to shake Barack's hand twice. It was a great event, lots of energy in the crowd. Chris Matthews was in line with all the volunteers as we were getting our security checks this morning. I think he is a closet Obama supporter! Chris is from PA and he said he had an "event" tonight in Philly and that's why he was in the area. One of volunteers I was working with was a Bobby Kennedy supporter 40 yrs ago and she still had literature from the Kennedy campaign and she said she had not been inspired by anyone since Bobby Kennedy, until she heard Senator Obama. She showed it to Senator Obama in the rope line and he hugged her twice, he seemed really moved. It was a great day!!

T'is a crying shame that Chris Matthews is getting much negative press from many Obama supporters.

If you had listened to him yesterday, you would understand the predicament in which he finds himself.

As he stated, more or less textually: "It is nearly impossible to say anthing negative about the Cintons on the air. The slightest derogatory comment and we have to apologize profusely."

O.K., so maybe he should stick to his guns and express his true feelings about the Clintons, but he might prefer to stay on safe ground and keep his job.

i quit my membership of moveon.org, they should have remained nuetral until the dnc. then supported the winner whether it be obama or hillary. they lost alot of supporters for taking sides early. this is a very emotional race and close one. it is going to be next to impossible for us to win in the general election without FL and MI. I think they should be seated. MI be split 50/50, since obama removed his name from the ticket. Fl should count as is since neither one advertised and they were both on the ticket. Obama will still be ahead. And if Hillary loses, he will gain the support of her supporters. As it is democrats are going to lose without FL and MI being seated. Can you imagine the support and the fall in of democrats behind the nominated candidate if it were done like this. It would probably help Obama more in the upcoming states. Reach Obama and Clinton and come to a conclusion over Fl and MI. Does anyone feel the same way? We are all democrats, even Hillary supporters. And we need to show unity in our party to overtake the White House in November.

Have you noticed that while we are signing petitions there are those blogs that are still saying that Barack was pummled in the debate, that he did not answer well.

ALL the major Networks and cable networks are stating that Barack realy didn't do well, even though it was stated on CNN directly after the debate HE WON.

Now we either have to go to the other blogs such and post positive comments as well as raise money and call PA.

I find it amazing that one can say that he didn't do well, when he was NEVER really question about his plans/ programs on the issues that matter. HC was given more than the alloted time to state her plans for the economy, therefore it is preceived that she knows what she is doing.

Thanks to the generosity of many who donated their valuable frequent flyer miles, we sent 29 out-of-state volunteers to Texas and Ohio, and another 32 to Pennsylvania.

This means ***1,525,000 MILES*** have been donated to date – putting ***61 VOLUNTEERS*** on the ground, helping bring it home for Barack.

Gallup Tracking 04/16 - 04/18 Clinton +1.0
Rasmussen Tracking 04/15 - 04/18 Obama +2.0

The Gallup poll is being talked about on the air. In the Gallup, it shows Clinton ahead by one point. I have to say it mad me panic. It probably has some Clintonians dancing for glee, because the Gallup hasn't shown her ahead since January.

However, there are other recent polls that show Obama ahead. As you may have guessed by now, these results aren't being reported. The news is trying to trample him by calling him weak, and they are not showing any positives about him.

I really do think we are going to have to run a tougher campaign. I don't like the idea but we have to bring her down. Do you realize what our lives will be like if Clinton gets the nomination?!! She is another McCain, and McCain is another Bush. It would be like having 3 generations of woe. Frankly, I can't take anymore of her...I would leave the party. As she said...I might not be able to choose my parents, but I can choose who I vote in for president. Yes I am BITTER.

The quote above is one of the universally known King pearls of wisdom and one that applies especially to this nomination race and the up coming general election.

Consider that many the world over neither like nor trust politicians, reasons we neither like nor trust them is because more often than not, come election year they are gregariously congenial, enjoy popular support, seem to be ever present and confoundingly loud when seeking elected office in order to shape and mold domestic and foreign policy.

Only to dumbfound supporters and voters alike after having been elected by becoming obnoxiously insular, conspicuously absent from direct public purview/contact and subsiding into expertise at delivering carefully crafted speeches (to be sure) that are utterly devoid of meaning in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka meat and potatoes), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.

How does Barack stack up with the common negative aspects of politicians in the scenario above?

Barack has demonstrated a willingness and ability to lead on the Invasion of Iraq in terms of concrete measures to be taken in resolving problems (aka Iraqi resolution of inter-ethnic/religious conflict), a clear elucidation of how actual problems came into being, the proactive way forward and parameters by which success or failure can be weighed/measured.

He could have chosen "comfort and convenience" when running for state senate office in Illinois. It would have been incredibly easy to adopt no official position or one that was in line with that of the outgoing administration or public opinion, both then strongly in favor of the Invasion. In a "time of challenge and controversy", Barack deliberately chose to depart from the status quo at the time and was numbered among the appallingly few elected officials that opposed the Invasion from the outset, said so publicly and went into detail as to reasons why.

Have you noticed that while we are signing petitions there are those blogs that are still saying that Barack was pummled in the debate, that he did not answer well.

ALL the major Networks and cable networks are stating that Barack realy didn't do well, even though it was stated on CNN directly after the debate HE WON.

Now we either have to go to the other blogs such and post positive comments as well as raise money and call PA.

I find it amazing that one can say that he didn't do well, when he was NEVER really question about his plans/ programs on the issues that matter. HC was given more than the alloted time to state her plans for the economy, therefore it is preceived that she knows what she is doing.

Polls have really not been wrong with the exception of NH. Be it a lead of 1% or 9% it is still a lead.

He must WIN PA, that will put this to rest. I have been listening to him on the whistestop tour in PA, and I have a concern.

Please get the message to BARACK to STOP mentioning and dissing HC while stumping these last three days in PA.

The PUBLIC has already spoken and said that it is TIRED of NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING.

Speak the truth, and review, his clear plans for the Economy, WAR, Trade Agreements, Change our Foreign policy, UNITY, a government that he hears OUR voices and NOT JUST BIG BUSINESS, and lastly how we are going to put out people back to work, end the war, reduce gas prices, fix this country's infrastructure, keep people in their homes, save retirment funds, educate our children and STOP DIVISIVE POLITICS.

These polls are volatile. Newsweek has a totally opposite story Obama up by 19 which means its time to ignore polls. Usually in situations like this you take an average of the two so that would have Obama up by 10 11 points.

What a contrast from the other candidate's campaign...I received an email from my uncle in Winston Salem describing his professor friend's experience at a Hillary rally at Wake Forest University yesterday...

He went to the Hillary 'thing' yesterday on campus and stood in line an hour to get in. Upon getting to chapel door was given a one-page form, that according to him, demanded that he support her and asking for other personal info. He refused, telling them it was a public function and stated he should not have to sign such a document. A huge secret service agent then approached him and told him that it was a security measure and if he did not sign it, would have to leave. Which is just what he did.

Hey folks, soy vanilla latte in hand with the NYT nearby, I've been calling since noon ET.

I love PA voters - they are so open and are very concerned about the issues of the jobs, iraq.

The undecideds today are starting to make up their minds, based on the few I've talked to (I'm no pollster). I tried to convince them Obama was the best, but they said they are going to wait until Tuesday!!!

I did get one HRC switch, which is always fun. But we gotta connect with those undecideds. This is a tough decision for them for many reasons - they need to hear from us.

My call analysis - there are a lottt of Davids, Brians, and Josephs in PA lol. I had to check my recent calls dialed to make sure I wasn't calling the same people over and over again.

It's 79 degrees here in Cleveland and I would imagine they are enjoying similar weather in the area I was calling. Soooo nobody was home except one guy who was undecided but said he receives mailings and/or calls from the Obama campaign daily (yay us!). He said he has never received a single thing from Hillary and he doesn't like her anyway so he thinks he'll be voting for Obama!

I did speak with two spouses and just generally introduced myself and why I was calling and asked for their support for Obama on Tuesday.

I voted, but I don't know what you mean by he's #9. When I vote it tells me the average for him is 55 (I voted him at the highest-100). Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I really don't like what they wrote for pro's and con's.
