I agree. Its all about strategy. She might win PA so it will be nice to roll out some momentum after PA. Rolling out the SDs from NC will do that.
It will say "not so fast HRC...this thing is still over."
I do think we'll either win PA or keep it close. She'll come no where close to winning 65% of the next 10.....

LOL @ Paul.. :)
I really don't care for 50 cent, I have issues with his character and his penchant for exploiting folks for money. He's down with whomever is winning.. This is not news and the more I think about it, the way the MSM likes to scrutinize every damn thing with regards to Barack, they may try to paint this into a negative since 50 cent is controversial.. but, hey who cares? What's new?

She is not paying her bills. The "low income" workers cannot get paid because she is so slow to pay her venues.
Also, one of her aides quit recently because after this person donated once...hillary's campaign kept taking MONEY out against her desire. When questioned they told the now ex-staffer just let it ride that she would be with them in the white house... amazing!
This person filed a police report, has since been repaid and is now an obama supporter...

HILLARY:
“Our cash flow is good. Bills are being paid. We are continuing to raise a considerable amount of money. We had the best fundraising month in the campaign's history last month,” said Wolfson on MSNBC. “We are continuing to do well this month. The support that we’re receiving over the Internet especially is very, very strong.”
However, he noted that the Democratic front-runner, Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.), would again raise more money than Clinton in March and acknowledged that the former first lady is not yet on the air in Indiana and North Carolina, instead focusing on winning Pennsylvania.
“If we had the money, we'd be advertising everywhere in the country,” Wolfson said, adding, “I'm sure even the Obama campaign, as well-funded as it is, would love to have more. But we are going to have what we need for what we need to do.”
The Clinton spokesman also criticized Obama for not doing enough to give Michigan and Florida a voice in the presidential selection process.
“Sen. Obama, despite talking about the importance of voter participation on the stump, has done everything he can to really kill plans in both states that would have provided an opportunity for voters there to participate again,” Wolfson said.
The Clinton campaign is hoping that some way will be found for a re-vote in the two states, after their January primaries had essentially been voided. The former first lady, who had won both of the contests, believes that re-votes would give her an edge in total votes and close the gap with Obama in delegates.
Wolfson also chastised surrogates of the Illinois senator for saying Clinton could not win the nomination anymore and asking her to drop out.
“It’s clear that they know that Sen. Clinton can win,” Wolfson said. “They wouldn’t be attacking her so ferociously if they didn’t, and they wouldn’t be doing everything they could to forestall the process if they didn’t think there was a chance we could win.”

but even if that weren't possible, we'd still need to defend against her attacks, because she essentially is behaving as a surrogate for mccain!

I don't think that it is they would vote for Hillary as it is they wont vote for Obama because he is black and white or he is an unknown. I think it is because he is an unknown, It seems to me that more and more people dont realy care about the race of a man or women but by what they offer or bring to the table. I'm sure in any race of people you have your hard heads but I like to think we are all above that today. Once were in there tearing up the ground of the Blue Grass State, I think we will do fine!

Louisvillle is its biggest city. Lexington and Frankfurt 2. The eastern part is very West Virginia and the southern part that borders the mtns near Tenn will probably vote like Tennessee did. Like I said its a very rural state. I'm not sure if traditionally they vote republican in the general or not. They have a decent amount of delegates for not having any true "cities"

it votes very republican in the general. unless Hillary's supporters are not motivated ...this could happen because of a close race in PA & IN and a loss in NC for her, in which case the media and superdelegates would basically declare it's over. Then we could come pretty close.
She'll only net about 20 delegates total from WV & KY. So it won't be enough. And we'll make up for a third of that with a win in OR on the same days as KY.
So bottom line, it'll basically be over after NC & IN, when it becomes clear that she can only get to about an 80-100 pledged delegate defecit if PA is within 10 or 15.
Anyway, after NC, the SD's will end it. But we have to win NC or it goes on til the end of June.

But still so vexed with the city councils ludicrous proposal, especially when there's no grounds for it.

One more thing, Maria. Something that very much bothers me.
People say Barack can't win over Latinos, blah blah blah.
He won here! By 47%. Without campaigning in NorCal. On Super Tuesday before he'd had a swing in National Support.
The Latinos I have spoken with, and they are many, report having voted for HRC simply because they didn't know who Barack is.
IF they had known he had sponsored the wildly popular Dream Act, they would have definately voted for him.
The entire issue is just not as complex as the media makes it out. The racial tensions are not nearly as high as they were 20 or 30 years ago. Latinos will vote for an African-American. The greater problem is still with Catholic vs. Non-Catholic people from the many conversations I have had.
Senator Clinton isn't loved, like they spin it. She's simply a name they've heard. Many are working so much that they don't intimately follow politics in the rural areas where she wins.
I believe he'll have no trouble at all in the General with Latinos and I'm NOT sure he's going to have that much problem in Puerto Rico since it's further into the election.

With no end insight, if McCain has anything to say about it. But today, he was...what.... surprise? He was surprised with attacks on the green zone.
Before any other reason and the reasons grew, as to why I could not support HRC, my one and most important reason, was the Iraq war. I think about the lives lost everyday. And every night. The chidren of America, and the children of Iraq.
Only one candidate understood how valuable human life is, and how important it was to get this call to arms, right. And that is Barack Obama.
We need someone who will have the judgement right on day one. We need Barack Obama to bring our troops home. We need Barack Obama to change the politics of solving world problems. We need a new paridigm.

Mar 31st 2008 at 5:13 pm EDT
James Carville owes his loyalty to Bill Clinton and naturally HRC. reason being that Carville was one of Bills campaign managers in 1992. when Bill won the elctions against Bush Carvilles fortunes changed as is expected when campaign managers are on the winning team of a presidential election. Prior to the elections carville was struggling financially but after bill won he started making money by writing books about the campaign, speaking engagements and also become a consultant in many democratic congressional races. He was a well sought guest speaker after bill won. In addition he found a mate during the campaign and guess who he is married to his rival/nemesis in the campaign- Bush 1 campaign manager mary matyline a republican of course. Therefore he owes his good fortunes to the clintons and thats why he is so passionate about supporting the clintons. Therefore Carville is indebted to boot towards the clintons for his sudden good fortune that if it were not for the clintons carville would not be where he is today and thats the reason for his over passionate off the wall defense of the clintons. If you notice clintons public supporters are all recycled from the BIll administration and are indebted to the clintons for their good fortunes in addition what they stand to benefit in a Hillary administration.

I should note that you really can't ask someone to donate $1 or $2...the site will only process donations from $5 to $4,600.

I just spent several hours wrangling back and forth with a Clinton-ista on a messageboard.
It was mentally taxing...spiritually draining...and an all around downer on what was an otherwise great day.
To top it off...I switch on Hardball...and find Governor Rendell spewing forth more of the same lies and shenanigans...
I am weary. Thank God I get to see Barack Obama speak on Friday night in Grand Forks...because I need to get re-energized.

Hi Jeremiah,
I know how you feel. I come here for a respite. I know my Obamafamily has my back with all the bad-talk out there.
But, the more you engage the "trolls" as I guess it the official term (IDK?) the more they will hurt you. We dont want to make matters more negative. Eventually, we want to bring them into the fold.
In addition, we need to be unifiers too.
It is hard i am struggling to refrain myself.

Oh you poor soul.
This recent article in the "New York Observer" kind of says it all about Clinton and her tactics. It starts out with a straight face making Clinton's arguments for herself right now, and you know it's a little convincing.
And then the author screams out basically, "WAKE UP!!!"
It's pretty funny and is a good inoculation against the Clinton virus.

Hello all
I just telephoned HQ and and asked that Barack not participate in the debate scheduled for 4/16/08. I am so tired of the Rev Wright drama, and they will try to bring it up again on April 16, just before the election. Barack is up in the national polls 10 points and the last thing i want to see is for them to play the video over and over again during a debate. That it ABC's style. they are as bad as CNN.

My thought was how could SHE step up to the debate when she knows she'll be faced with Bosnia, Ireland, Nafta. Not to mention the lack of income tax, etc. etc. OR the ridicule that will no doubt come from them if she decides to be transparent (fat chance). I
think those things are going to be the bigger story in the coming weeks? No?????

This is where we are right now. It's a racial stalemate we've been stuck in for years. Contrary to the claims of some of my critics, black and white, I have never been so naïve as to believe that we can get beyond our racial divisions in a single election cycle, or with a single candidacy - particularly a candidacy as imperfect as my own.
For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle - as we did in the OJ trial - or in the wake of tragedy, as we did in the aftermath of Katrina - or as fodder for the nightly news. We can play Reverend Wright's sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she's playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will all flock to John McCain in the general election regardless of his policies.
We can do that.
But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we'll be talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then another one. And nothing will change.
That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, "Not this time." This time we want to talk about the crumbling schools that are stealing the future of black children and white children and Asian children and Hispanic children and Native American children. This time we want to reject the cynicism that tells us that these kids can't learn; that those kids who don't look like us are somebody else's problem. The children of America are not those kids, they are our kids, and we will not let them fall behind in a 21st century economy. Not this time. -Barack Obama
NOT THI TIME--Barack Debates that is what he does. He is the smartest and best leader of our lifetime! Have no fear, YES WE CAN!

This is such an emotional time for a lot of people and I do not think Bill Clinton is 1% percent of the man I thought he was. I voted for him twice, I thought he would help our inner cities, did he? NO! I believed what he said, all these years later I am so disappointed in my self for not knowing, but believing.
We are in the New Age The age of the Aquarius.
The age of Aquarius is the age of information, it follows the age of Pisces, the age of believing what was said to you.
Do you know about the new age? I would like to have this discussion with someone who knows more about this.

What does Age of Aquarius mean?
"What lies ahead for Humanity? With all the problems we have, it's hard to believe our future is bright. Inflation and recession, environmental deterioration, diminishing resources, unrest and oppression in developing countries, and apathy, loneliness and lack of direction in developed ones all combine to severely cloud the horizon...
It may seem fantastic, but the signs in the heavens point to an extraordinary renewal in the years just ahead. If we recall some recent trends, this prospect doesn't seem so outlandish. It wasn't too long ago that we heard about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and about the revival of spirit among the new generation. We can still hear the echoes of John Kennedy's call to action and see the vision of Martin Luther King's dream. Before he and his dream were shot down in 1968, he said we as a people "would get to the promised land." The promise seems empty now, yet the planetary cycles support his prophecy. For what we discover when we examine these cycles is compelling evidence that a renaissance and a golden age is right around the corner." [1]
"You are probably familiar with the term New Age, and you may have heard or read about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. This simply means that we are leaving one age (Pisces), and entering into a new one (Aquarius). This happens every two thousand years - the last one coinciding with the arrival of Christ.

Hello Obama family!
Today I dropped another $25 into the campaign. I wish I could max out at $2300 but alas I am a poor college student. But I do what I can because I believe in this campaign and I believe in Barack.
I am a third generation immigrant. My family came from Italy with nothing. Barack's words continually remind me of the HOPE it took for
my great grandfathers to arrive in this country and build the life, three generations later, that I have today. I am of course eternally grateful to them for their bravery and HOPE.
"It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from
distant shores...YES WE CAN"
Growing up I was always reminded of how amazing this country is...the best in the world. Never before has a politician spoke in words, to me, about what it means to BE an American. Because like Barack says No matter what the obstacles are...YES WE CAN! His speeches on Hope speak to me and my Hope for the future of our country. And for that I am truly grateful because I had become skeptical of what we were capable of....No more!
I want change and Barack will bring us there!
YES WE CAN!
"Justice and Equality....Opportunity and prosperity....Repair this World...Heal this Nation....Heal THIS Nation"
YES WE CAN!
Love to you all!

OVER A MILLION FREQUENT FLYER MILES DONATED!!! |

Mar 31st 2008 at 6:18 pm EDT
Thanks to the generosity of many who donated their valuable frequent flyer miles, we sent 28 out-of-state volunteers to Texas and Ohio, and so far have another 21 going to Pennsylvania.
This means ***1,225,000 MILES*** have been donated to date!!!
DONORS: It takes 25,000 miles for a ticket. So – who’s got at least 25,000 on the same airline which they’d like to donate toward making sure Barack Obama is our next President?
Step right up — I’m getting requests almost daily from volunteers who want to help but can’t afford the airfare. Donate now, please, so we can get these people on the ground where they’re most needed. We have to work harder in PA!
VOLUNTEERS: If you want to spend a week or more in PA, but can’t afford to pay your own way, contact me and I’ll try to match you with an airline ticket.
Please call me at 714-536-6104 California time. (Don’t reply on the blogs; I probably won’t see your response.)

Thanks sweetie.
When I read of Tiffany's passing, my incentive to start the fundraiser was:
1. I think I was the first person to read Tarin's early morning request to set one up in her honor and am just so proud of all of the people who have contributed to it! Bless you!
2. My personal sentiment was triggered. My son Mateo, one year ago almost exactly, was in a near-fatal collision with his stepmother. I received a phone call from highway patrol as I merged onto the freeway to take a midterm and was not told if my 7-year old boy was alive or dead. It was a hundred year drive, it felt, to the hospital, where I found him in bad condition but alive. A year later he struggles with nightmares still. I felt all at once the pain of the Klinetobe family, both Tiffany's parents AND children, in a very personal way. So it was no stretch to want to help them in any and every way possible.
We have really come out for one another.
You know, more than anything, I hope that even after this election, we keep many the friendships we have made here. I want to meet so many of the good folks who have pushed for Barack's election and a better America for all of us.
We have cried together with the race speech, we have laughed together with some of the gaffes, and we have connected on a really beautiful and human level.
That is what community is about, and I am proud to stand in solidarity with every one of you... from our 16 year old Lace King to our former Republican Larry in North Dakota. So many strong people who continue to impress me every day, and who truly represent the change to ending the divides PROVE what Barack aims for can, and is being, acheived.

I can't send money back. It was donated to the Barack Obama campaign. Not to me. To the Barack Obama campaign.
I don't think I should publically talk about this, because it's distracting from the campaign, but suffice it to say that my fundraiser is literally identical to numerous other memorial fundraisers here.
And I went to elementary school right by you, Syd! Do you know the Waldorf School there in Chestnut Ridge?!

Yes, I attended 6th, 7th, and 8th but now live in California.
My sister is still over that way, however.
Have you ever been to the school? It's pretty amazing.
Invite me for coffee again the next time I visit out that way and I say sure... New City Diner still there?!

Sa Sa, I'm sorry to hear that someone anyone would challenge your sincerity. I have read many of your posts, and have taken great pleasure in reading your views and opinions, and have gained much from the information you have extended in ernest. This was an unfortunate turn of events, that someone would jumped to such an erroneous conclusion, but I hope you will not allow this to injure your good intentions or steal your joy. You Ba-rock.

Thanks... now let's get back on track with the campaign :)
We have much work to do toward winning PA, IN, and NC!
If anyone wants to discuss this further, please just add me as a friend to send me a message. I don't want the boards to detract from Barack here, whatsoever.
Sometimes things get heated, anyways. I've worked with a lot of groups and yes, misunderstandings happen sometimes. It tends to fracture community, so I say let it all slide. Be truthful, but don't let your eye of the ball.

I read this post and I have to chime in.
When one donates to a "fundraising page" set-up by a member here on the board, that money goes DIRECTLY TO THE CAMPAIGN. It does NOT go to the individual, who then "donates it back". It is simply a means of inspiring people to donate to the campaign. Claims to the contrary are beyond "misinformed", and the hostility and "flaming" nature of the supposed "innocent questions" make me question the validity and sincerity of the speaker more and more. I am not necessarily trying to call "interloper" on them, but I will suggest that people with concerns tone down the rhetoric when asking a question. The accusations you are making (especially in regards to "SaSa") are well beyond the pale!
There have been similar charges made re: the Colbert Challenge.
The Colbert Challenge is NOT associated with the campaign. It is an outside fundraiser challenge for PA schools, and is a great way to help out a worthy cause while getting some extra attention for Obama and for us a supportive, fund raising FORCE. It is a great way for those who do have extra charity cash to spend (it is a charitable donation, and a legit tax write off), but have maxed out their political donations to keep involved and to do some good. ANY CLAIMS THAT THIS IS SOME SORT OF HOAX, OR SHADY OPERATION, ARE FALSE AND IGNORANT! I'm really sick of having to explain this to people who are too lazy to do the most basic research for themselves. If you don't want to donate to Colbert Challenge, then don't--but for God's sake shut up about it.
In short, do a little research before you start accusing people of being disingenuous. It's beyond insulting, beyond cynical, and makes us all wonder wether or not you're just here trying to stir up sh*t.

WOW! Its so great to hear such an intelligent person running for the presidency! Now.. to enlighten everyone a little bit more on the subjects which face us every day americans, which of course, no one will talk about or at least publicly admit:
1. The current admin and HRC too.. see that Barack and a Grassroots of Americans CAN in FACT change our COUNTRY! They Are VERY VERY WORRIED!
2. When you see them talking again about possible action against IRAN.. do you really think this is to keep us safe?? Au contraire, if they can SCARE the Beejesus out of the SHEEP one more time, they can stay in power electing Mc Nugget!
3. Latest on the Economy: Bush announces today an overhaul of the FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS oversight and regulatory functions. Now, in the middle of an economic meltdown with only the CEO's and Corps and the RICH getting all the benefits, add to that creating additional CHAOS by changing the Federal Reserve.. this serves to create a WHOLE GIGANTIC ENTIRELY NEW set of UNCERTAINTY into the Country.. again leading to SCARING the SHEEP . No Offense Meant to anyone here.
How can we elect an "Unknown" with all these MAJOR CRISES facing us??
So.. paranoid you say?? Conspiricy theorist you say?? Bah.. humbug... this entire republican cabinets and leadership and the "true fat cats" have been having their way with us like a strumpet at a harvest festival!
They wave FLAGS on FOX and say if you don't support the WAR your not a PATRIOT?? and this BS has been played out over and over and over...
The ONLY HOPE we as a country will have is for us to GET BARACK elected no matter what it takes...
Now.. even he knows that if the current ADMIN throws our country entirely to the wolves, they(admin etc..) aren't the least concerned..they got theirs! But, we will and Barack will have his plate completely full and so.. we will remain an even more important part of the COUNTRY and his abilty to make the needed changes.
This is just my Humble opinion.. and being in the FINANCIAL INDUSTRY for over 30 years.. i've got an extremely good viewpoint on the marketplace.
Yes We CAN YES WE WILL and Barack and US will change our country for the better!
Peace in the OC

If only the MSM would play clips like this. Then this "no substance, only words" myth might finally be put to rest.
I guess it's hard to find good sound-bytes in intelligent discussion, though. This is why Barack is almost too good for America. Many citizens don't understand nuance.

If Obama had done the Bosnia lie it he'd have been sunk! She deserved the negative press when she has such a high negative rating.
There is a poll on his site right now. Vote NO on this right NOW!

The reason people think the media is biased toward Obama is because there's very little (if anything) negative to say about him. Simply showing video of him speaking seems "biased" to many people because he's undeniably amazing.
The media was totally biased toward MLK, too. ;)
