Hi folks in Pennsylvania,
You are obviously computer literate, otherwise you wouldn't be here. Great. But think of all those potential voters for Obama who aren't, in your family, your friends, your co-workers. Here are some things you can do:
Print out some material that is easy to read and explains Obama's program (you find all of that on the web-site), and have it handy.
Print out some articles from the press to which you find links on the main blog, which provides reasons for voting for Obama.
And when you talk to your family or friends or co-workers about Obama, give them some printed material they can relate to.
For instance, this one is a good one if your mom or grandma can't decide between Obama and Clinton.

I have never been inspired by a political candidate like I have been with Barack Obama. He is the right man for the job, and he has the leadership qualities required and the plans in place to get the job done and restore hope to Americans from every walk of life, every political party, every race & ethnicity, and every financial background. His campaign is funded by the people, and he will help people like you and me when he is our next President.
I've made phone calls over the last few weeks to voters in Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Ohio, Wyoming, and Mississippi. I've been doing other ground work on my own, including sending emails and messages almost daily to friends and family. And I've made two cash donations to the campaign as well.
My birthday is coming up in a few days, St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. Since I will be heading into my final year of my 20's, turning 29, I have decided that I need a very special present since the realization that I will be thirty in a little over a year is not coming easy.
What I'm asking is for 100 of you Obama supporters out there to donate $17 to my fundraising campaign. My goal is $1700 by 11:59 PM on March 17th. If you can donate more, that is even better! Who knows, maybe it will bring you a little luck. Or, more importantly, bring our man Obama a little luck!

Now is the time to help the good people of Pennsylvania to turn away from the politics of the past and help to move this nation forward. We must help them to learn that the change our candidate can lead us to is not about him, but about us, the citizens of the United States, taking our nation back from the big moneyed special interests.
We must help them to remember what they already know; that our nation’s heritage is one of courage, faith and optimism. We have never been ruled by our fears but are instead driven by our vision of better tomorrows, fueled by the courage that could reach across continents and, indeed out to the stars. Rewarded by our spiritual faith in a power greater than ourselves, we grew to become the greatest nation in the history of the world, with the foresight to leave the next generation with a better future than we had. That better future is in jeopardy, unless we change the priorities of our government.
Citizens of Pennsylvania, join this movement for Change and on April 22, 2008, "be here dedicated to the unfinished work" to return this nation to greatness. Join us as we renew the call which originally was made from your own hallowed Gettysburg, “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth“. (A. Lincoln, 1863).

When I listen and look at Barack Obama. I see a man who is steady. A man who is level headed. I see a man who is tough. A man who is taking punches right and left by his opponents and still answers back directly on issues and with respect.
We need to let people know that Obama was the one who wrote the legislation to help wounded Vets at Walter Reed.
We need to let people know that Obama stood up for a tougher ETHICS bill, when Senator Clinton and Harry Reid wanted to water it down.
We need to let people know that Obama co sponsored the transpancy bill so you can look up where your money is going to and who is influcing your congressmen and senators.
We need to let people know that Obama cosponsored
legislation with Dick Lugar to find weapons.
We need to speak up and let people know that Obama is Level Headed and honestly, don't you want a person who is level headed with good judgement answering the phone at 3 am?

Absolutely. I am glad to know that so many offices have been opened in Pennsylvania. I think as both speakers in the video stated, if we get out there with that firce urgency and talk to people about Barack's policies, judgment, integrity ,common sense and the Clintons' dirty laundry, we can close the current point gap. Here is an article that may be of interest
Link
We need to remember the Clintons' and their machine supporters have a vested interest of long standing and dirt to keep hidden - they are working their butts off. While we won Mississippi by a large margin, I am concerned about the 70% white vote for Hill as it tells me they are beginning to be effective in polorizing the electorate. We must not become complacent and distracted from understanding that the nomination is not yet our.
in addition to all the attention in registering independents, we need to know that there are many who would consider themselves democrates that are not registered in all poor, working and middle class neighborhoods that are easy to reach if we reach out to them.
Yes, we can.

I heard on msnbc last night that 24% of hilllary's vote in miss. were republicans responding to rush's urging for republicans to vote for clinton to keep obama from winning so the race will continue and he will get "bloodied up". Taking away that 24% of white voters who were republicans, the percentage of white democrats who voted would be more evenly divided.

I am not going to give up on PA. I refuse to believe that the average voter will allow "elected" politicians tell them who to support.
I don't know if anyone watched Chris Matthews today but there was a radio personality from PA on there and he talked about how "Barack is the REAL DEAL". He said that he had been reading excerpts from Barack's first book, "Letters from my My Father" and repeatedly said that this talk about Barack being an empty suit is going to end -- He said again, "he is the real deal". If this guy is reading Barack's book to his listeners and they are listening, well I am hopeful that this is helping people understand why we need "this man at this time" in the White House.
Lets not give up on PA!

Though I think many AA males do have those experiences, this is not what Barack Obama is about. For those who feel this way, it is my hope they will begin to see themselves and their potential in a different light. It will be wonderful to see what may be said 50 years from now.
Just look at what the Clinton campaign is doing. They seem to be building on these types of feelings. It just goes to show the amount of healing still necessary.
To me, this shows what hope can accomplish, and it also shows it can be done without the angry feelings experienced in the pulpit. I believe if nothing else, Barack has made us all think and helped us all see and internalize the actual concept, foundation and realization from building on hope and through action helping individuals see how a lack of hope keeps us standing still.
I believe some of the issues surrounding this campaign mean for some that if somehow Clinton gets the nomination, that good will lose against evil.

Barack has said stated may times, "Wright is like an old uncle who says many things that he does not agree with. He has stated "he doesn't not agree with any language that is divisive no matter who it comes from". Fox News are the ones who put this tape out and, frankly I don't think any Democrat supporter should take anything that Fox News puts out. Fox News entire purpose is to make sure a Republican President is elected into office and they will hammer any story if they thought it would help their cause.

I think the pastor in so many words was saying thats it's tough to be a black man in America - which may have been an emotional response to someone saying Oabama is a leading presidential candidate only because he black.
Is this preacher part of his campaign. I believe this man is/was Obama's preacher? Traditionally, I don't think preachers have become active members of candidates campaigns.

When you have to look at sermons of a Pastor lets me know that they have NOTHING on Barack. Now they have to prove him guilty of something by association. They are assuming that he will be the nominee and they are starting early to try to discredit him.

I haven't watched FOX since Al Gore lost but I know that Sean Hannity is behind the attacks on the minister. If someone attacked a Minister of Seans I know he would be outraged and say what about freedom of religion. Seems that the rules only apply one way to that station so I just really do not listen to them anymore. They are not speaking for me and for most Americans with any common sense. As far as his comments about being black, if Sean Hannity seems to think he is the expert on this field, then my eyes are deceiving me!!!!
Write or call and register your views if it bothers you how the media just can't stick to the issues. They have to drudge up other stuff.

Apparently, the church sells videos of the Rev. Wright's sermons, so I'm sure they are easily available.
I'm white, my husband is AA, and we're both in our 50s. We talked about this video after we saw it, and we both have observed that older people of both races who grew up with strict segregation tend to see the world as much more racially polarized, and seem to have a lot more wounding around race.
When Barack says in essence that Rev. Wright is like the uncle who pops off and says controversial things, but he's still part of your family, I totally understand. The 20 years I lived in the South, I knew a lot of (mostly older) people who basically had good hearts, but held some pretty entrenched views about race.
I think Barack has a unique opportunity to move people beyond their entrenched views because of his messages of inclusion and unity. And, because he is a bi-racial man, he's a living, breathing symbol of that transcendence.

It was on the news tonight that Obama has distanced himself and he was never part of the campaign as far as I know. At least he has never been mentioned.
Someone got hold of an old tape and had to make a big thing out of it, trying to bring up more junk to make people doubt.
I have read Obama's book on "Dreams From My Father." If you have any doubts, read it and you'll never doubt him again. He is a good person that cares for all people.
I have also read "Audacity of Hope". We need hope to make us join together to help the cause.
It is also a good book about his struggles in life, his hopes and dreams.

As a white man, I don't see one thing offensive about that video at all. Here is a very provocative preacher, pointing out that we have to love one another in the name of Jesus. Even though blacks have been oppressed and there is still lingering racism in this country.
His language may make many whites uncomfortable, but did he say people should be angry at whites? Seek revenge against whites? Discriminate against whites? All I heard is that Jesus sets the example by which to live.
Sure, I would never talk like that. I'm white, I don't see things from this guys perspective. But I do see what the underlying message of this clip is. It is not racist, it is healing. But heck, that's just my opinion. Like good poetry, people can interpret what was said in their own context.

Great comments. As a white minister, they cut off the best part at the end. He was making the point that in spite of what Jesus dealt with- he did not have time to hate. AND, that WE do not have time to hate if we are followers of Jesus. It was a super sermon delivered in a vibrant style.
Politicians with an agenda will misuse this tape. Those who are ignorant of the Bible will be offended by his words (look how Jesus was dealt with!).

it wasn't a hate speech. it was an overly dramatic sermon that some ministers unfortunately deliver in church every blue moon. i don't agree with it, as i'm sure most of Trinity's members don't... and i'm sure the church congretation had forgotten about this particular sermon until the media tried to make it a big deal. keep in mind all pastors and priests are human, and make mistakes... this video is not a reflection of Obama! Dan,
I agree with you. Well said. Moreover, if Rev. Jeremiah Wright inspires Obama to have the "audacity of hope," then who am I to complain. The proof is in the pudding.Barack is one righteous man coming out of this church.
And I'll say amen to that!

Wow, I’m quite impressed with your open mind Dan and maturity.
Anyway, here is my 2 cents as an AA woman who supports Barack. That type of passionate over zealous sermon delivery is common to the black religious experience and should not be construed as anger.
I think Dr. Wright’s intended audience was actually to other blacks who have made disparaging remarks about Obama, like Jesse Jackson, Sr. and Stanley Crouch. Their remarks questioned Sen. Obama’s cultural authenticity. Mr. Crouch actually said that Sen. Obama’s experience is not the experience of the average African American who are descendants of plantation slaves. Ultimately, I think the sermon was speaking to how incredibly ludicrous such an assertion is for people to suggest that HRC has a more intimate understanding of the black experience by virtue of her association with Bill Clinton.
Now to be fair, the language in the sermon is divisive but far from hate speech.
Sen. Obama’s message resonates with so many people for a reason; he is encouraging us to be engaged in the political process, to see ourselves as able to effectuate change in the hallowed halls of Washington where ordinary Americans are often not welcome or respected. I’ve realized that so many people of different races, classes, and genders have a vested interest in stagnation. Some people believe that it cannot be any other way! That we, who support Obama’s candidacy, are naïve, deluded, and gullible. At every monumental moment in history, there are two groups of people. The ones who think it is foolish to fight for change, and the ones who choose to continue to press for change so that the world, even those who resisted and doubted, may benefit.
"Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task."
William James
We’ve come to far – we must press!

Also, according to the NC voter website, unaffiliated (independent) voters can vote in the primary, they just have to choose dem or rep.

then talk about senate...bipartisan on nuclear proliferation, ethics and then his other major achievements...
then talk about community organizer, CONSTITUTIONAL LAW PROFESSOR, civil rights attorney

Barack should certainly not do any more debates until and unless Ms Clinton releases her 2006 and 07 tax returns, her earmarks for the same period and grants public access to the Clinton libary papers presently under lock an key. knowing fully well that she will never release these documents till the whole primaries are completed he can then have a clear reason for not honoring her desire for more debates. We are coming from behind in Penn and televised debates wont serve any useful purpose. Rather him and as many of his surrogates as possible need to literally blanket Penn and get the message of hope, change and Unity along all previously dividing lines out to the common people of Penn. It is they not the miserably biased MSM folks who will decide this primary.
As an aside regarding the Michigan and Florida situation i think the best resolution to the affair which would preserve some sense of justice, exact the deserved punishment for the deplorable conduct of the state reps in moving forward their primary dates while not disenfrachising the common folk would be to slash their total delegate counts in half (punishment for tnot ff the set rules). The remaining half of the delegates can then be seated at the convention split exactly in half between Obama and Clinton so that neither camp is seen as gaining any advantage from those two primaries. This way Clinton is not rewarded for her treacherous behavior in leaving her name on the michigan ballot and campaigning+holding fund raisers in Florida despite her written and signed statement to abide by the established rules. I think this way the states are not disenfranchised but yet punished so that a precedent encouraging lawlessness is not set. Furthermore this will save millions of dollars being spent on a redo which if done anything short of a regular primary/caucaus will likely be so fraught with irregularities that it will make the Florida 2000 vote fiasco look like a picnic. If any of you have the ear of HQ kindly forward this suggestion. We must not allow Clinton steal this nomination by using the Florida and Michigan voters as unwilling pawns.

Just to let you know, my wife Mary "Obamacan" just donated $625.00 to Ilya's fundraiser. My wife is disabled like myself. We noticed what you wrote about Ilya and liked it; a hard working volunteer in PA.
I had already reached my $2300 limit. With this donation to Ilya my wife has now reached the $2300 limit also. Phew!
These are the kinds of responses I get to this list. And the receivers of donations get similar notes. It’s pretty inspiring.
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could take #1 off the list? We need 158 people giving $25 to move off Mama For Obama. Also, two Pennsylvania people on the list and a guy who worked at The Towers during September 11
The Top Ten List:
1. Here’s a Mama For Obama. $4491 more, now $4476-$4471-$4461-$4351-$4326- $4276-$4256-$4241-$4191-$4166- $4141-$4116-$4106-$4096-$4071- $4046-$3996-$3971-$3951 (or 158 donations of $25)
Link
2. Here is Lisa From L.A. She needs $880 more…make that $870-$865-$855-$805-$795
Link
3. New To This has raised much of her $5,000 but still is lacking $1475-$1465-$1455-$1420-$1410- $1400
Link
4. Jim Lyon worked in the Twin Towers in Sept. 21 and featured in today’s morning news. $975-$925-$896-$846-$796-$721- $711-$634-$608-$583-$476-$451- $431-$406-$353-$326-$301-$200- $175!
Link
5. Brenda from Richmond is looking for another $450-$440-$435-$415-$390
Link
6. Adam_Philadelphia has been spending ALL his time on the ground in Philly rousing the troops. He needs a boost in his fundraising, if we can do it. $910-$860-$850-$805-$705-$680.
Link
7. Ilya needs $955-$930…WOW $305-$245 more. HE’s a volunteer coordinator working his heart out in Pennsylvania and doesn’t have a lot of time to raise money. Can we help him?
Link
8. IManOBAMAmama has been VERY busy starting groups in PA and making calls. Can we help her make her goal while she’s busy on the ground? $980-$965-$915 to go.
Link
9. Jill helped another Obama friend raise over $800. Now she needs help. Can we give her some? $1665-$1655 to go.
Link
10. Denis wrote, “A year ago I would have never imagined I'd be spending a Saturday making calls soliciting support for a political candidate. For that matter blogging, sign waving, or reading every word a health care plan… Can anyone can help out?” Well? $900 to go.

Clinton is losing
by kos
Link
Thu Mar 13, 2008 at 02:29:52 PM PDT
Let's count the ways that Obama is winning:
1.) Pledged Delegates: (Using AP's numbers, with Obama's count in parenthesis)
Obama: 1,390 (1,411)
Clinton: 1,248 (1,250)
2.) Popular vote: I updated this post with results from Mississippi. I took out the Texas caucuses just to give this the best pro-Clinton spin possible, though I still think the caucuses are a separate contest and need to be accounted for. (Obama ended up winning Mississippi by over 100,000 votes.)
Obama: 13,614,204
Clinton: 12,801,153
3.) Primaries Won: There are 37 total primary contests. All Obama has to do is win three more and he notches the lead in these contests. He can do that easily with just three out of Montana, South Dakota, Oregon, Indiana, and North Carolina.
Obama: 16
Clinton: 12
4.) Caucuses Won
Obama: 14
Clinton: 3
5.) Overall contests Won: It's a 2-1 Obama advantage (includes territories and Democrats Abroad).
Obama: 30
Clinton: 15
6.) Red and Blue States Won (including DC, not including territories or Democrats Abroad):
Obama: 16 Red, 11 Blue
Clinton: 8 Red, 6 Blue
8.) Money Raised (through February)
Obama: $168 million
Clinton: $140 million
So that leaves the Clinton campaign with what, exactly? Big states! Big states! Big states! I addressed that one yesterday.
Team Clinton has nothing except schemes of coup by super delegate, which they apparently think they can do by insulting entire Democratic constituencies and most of our nation's states.
But really, what else do they have? Their campaign is losing by every metric

I just was wondering can't you go a day, week, or even months without mentioning that woman's name or the media. I just don't understand why is it so important to mention those things on this Blog.
This Blog should be about positive things about Barark, postive things the media mention but we should not allow negative things that woman say or media to come to this blog. If people want to know what's going on in the media look for it on the internet or watch tv, but you don't have to report back on this blog.
Have you ever thought you could be hurting this blog by doing that. My advice is to stop doing it.
Stop letting people tell you what we can't do and show them what we can do. Let's stop doing that we are just falling into their trap.
Keep looking up, keep the faith and NEVER GIVE UP ON WHAT THE LORD CAN DO!
Now let's work hard to bring a upset win to Barack in PA.
Jesus bless,
Love,Debbie

If they are still available-everyone should buy one. They will be worth a small fortune one day.
Plus you get a poster while simultaneously donating to the campaign.
If Andy Warhol is from PA, Shepard Fairey should get over there and have an art blow-out for Obama. We could bring out all of Warhol's people, raise money for the campaign, and be inspired by art.

I found this interview very interesting. Because he is new and not entrenched in the Clinton years, he doesn't owe favors. Seems the other 26 super delegates do along with Rendell. That is the problem, the good old boys and girls club in politics which Hillary has gathered around her. That is whey they don't want change.

Thanks to the generosity of many who donated their valuable frequent flyer miles, we sent 28 out-of-state volunteers to Texas and Ohio, and so far have another 11 going to Pennsylvania.
It takes 25,000 miles for a ticket. So – who’s got at least 25,000 on the same airline which they’d like to donate toward making sure Barack Obama is our next President?
Step right up — I’m getting requests almost daily from volunteers who want to help but can’t afford the airfare. Donate now, please, so we can get these people on the ground where they’re most needed. We have to win Pennsylvania!
(Unfortunately, it’s not proving practical to combine accounts from several people to make up that 25,000 because too many airlines and transfer fees are involved.)
Please call me at 714-536-6104 California time. (Don’t reply on the blogs; I probably won’t see your response.)

I am afraid the opponents are flaming the fans on these divisive issues.
Barack needs to neutralize race and gender issues which is the most dangerous issue. He needs to stop it now and build a safety margin for future. Treating Ferraro and others with respect and dignity and appealing to commonsense, objectivity ad truth will help to build the margin of safety. Being magnanimous in forgiving people helps build future bridges.
Barack needs to go out of his way to show that he has support from all races and two genders. Whites, Hispanics, Asians, Blacks and Women who support Barack need to speak up and show up for Barack. He must appeal to all people even risking rejection and hold only himself responsible for the inability to connect. Repeated wooing is bound to yield results gradually. People start to recognize your sincereity eventually.
This issue is potentially the most dangerous issue.
Barack will benefit my bringing out his daughters occasionally - it will help to balance out the gender issue.

Well, Sen. Clinton will make you buy it anyway. She will take your paycheck or find some other enforcement mechanism to make you pay!!

This is an excellent point to make!! I don't think ANY INSURANCE POLICY is worth garnishing one's wages!! And, to be quite honest with you, I don't know if that is legal!!!!! Someone would need to research the laws on garnishment. I believe each state most likely makes its own laws as far as garnishment are concerned!! Therefore, HRC's plan more than likely would have to be shoved off to each State in some way!! You just cannot garnish wages from Washington!! That has to be done through the State Courts in which you reside!!
ANOTHER REASON TO NOT VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!! HER INSURANCE PLAN IS NOT HONEST AND TRUTHFUL!! TO GARNISH ANY WAGES IT HAS TO BE DONE THROUGH THE STATE IN WHICH YOU RESIDE!! IT CANNOT BE DONE FROM WASHINGTON!! AS USUAL HILLARY CLINTON IS ALWAYS TELLING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TALES THAT ARE COMPLETELY FALSE!!

Lets remember Barack's words, "the cynics voices will only grow louder and more dissident". People are now trying to discredit Barack by association which tells me that they have absolutely NOTHING on Barack.
Barack is an intelligent man and he knows how this game is played. I have faith that he has done what he needs to do to distance himself. This is just background noise...

Barack has been saying since the beginning that he does not agree with everything Pastor Wright says. H*ll, I don't agree with everything my pastor preaches. Ministers are very animated people who minister to stir emotions of their audiences. I would get all worked up about this issue.
It is a distraction people. We should be more concerned with Hillary releasing ALL her tax returns. Lets keep her on defense and we need to stay on message.

Subject: The Real Truth About Barack Obama!
As enthusiastic volunteers in the Barack Obama campaign for the Presidency, we have put together a list of facts about Barack so that you will know the truth about him. Please follow the links we have included for documentation of these facts. If you value the truth as we do, please spread this information via email, blog, or any other means, to everyone you know.
Did you know that Barack Obama is a devout Christian? He has been a member of the same United Church of Christ congregation for 20 years, and was married there to his wife Michelle in 1992.
Did you know that Barack Obama often leads the US Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance?
Did you know that Barack Obama is a strong friend of Israel and has spoken out strongly against anti-Semitism?
Did you know his grandparents from Kansas were part of the "Greatest Generation?. His grandfather served with Patton's Army during World War II, and his grandmother, a real "Rosie the Riveter", worked in a bomber assembly plant back home.
Did you know that Barack Obama was opposed to the war in Iraq from day one, before we invaded, even while he was running for the Senate, and knowing his opposition might be politically unpopular?
"I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world and strengthen the recruitment arm of al Qaeda. I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars." --Barack Obama, 2002

Did you know Obama favors transparency over secrecy in our government? Did you know that Obama worked with Republican Senator Tom Coburn to pass one of the strongest government transparency bills since the freedom of information act? He's calling it Google for Government and you can see the results at www.usaspending.gov. Sen. Obama has also released his own tax returnsfor public review.
Did you know that after graduating with honors from Harvard Law School, Barack practiced civil rights law and also taught Constitutional Law for 10 years at the University of Chicago, one of the nation's best law schools, where he was consistently rated by his students as one of their best instructors? Did you also know that he was the first African-American elected president of the prestigious Harvard Law Review?
Did you know that Barack Obama is an outspoken advocate for women's rights and has been a principled defender of the civil rights of women?
Did you know that despite the grueling schedule of running for President, Senator Obama remains a devoted family man, making time to do things like pick out a Christmas tree with his wife and two young daughters, or hurrying home to spend Valentine's Day with them? Did you know he hasn't missed a single parent-teacher conference while running for President?
Did you know that Barack Obama has a stellar environmental record, including having the highest rating from the League of Conservation Voters (96%) of any Presidential candidate, Democrat or Republican?
Did you know that Barack Obama has been an elected legislator longer than Senator Clinton?
Did you know that Barack is a member of all of these Senate Committees: Foreign Relations; Veteran's Affairs; Health, Education, Labor & Pensions; Homeland Security and Government Affairs?
Did you know that Senator Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored 15 bills that have become law, and has introduced amendments to 50 bills, of which 16 were adopted since he joined the Senate in 2005?

Did you know that Senator Obama sponsored legislation working together with Indiana Republican Senator Richard Lugar, to keep Americans safe by keeping dangerous weapons out of terrorist hands? The two senators also visited the former Soviet Union to inspect the decommissioning of nuclear weapons. Sen. Lugar said of Sen. Obama, "He does have a sense of idealism and principled leadership, a vision of the future."
Did you know that Barack Obama is the only candidate running for president who voted against using cluster bombs in Iraq and the only candidate who supports banning the use of landmines?
Did you know that, as an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama succeeded in passing legislation requiring the videotaping of police interrogations, gaining the respect and support not only of fellow legislators but that of the police, who had initially opposed the legislation?
Did you know that Theodore Roosevelt, Grover Cleveland, Ulysses S. Grant, John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton were all younger when they took office than Barack Obama will be?
During election season many emails are circulated about the candidates. Some are true, some aren't. It's often difficult to determine the truth. We encourage you to visit the following non-partisan sites that do a good job of fact checking the candidates.

Also...
I know it's been tough these last few days with all these attacks on Obama and on us. We must not let it bother us. Do not be so angry that you become incapacitated.
When you stay angry, you keep in circulation a lot of stress hormones, and it that makes you short-tempered, thus more easily provoked to anger.
If I may suggest, turn off the TV and radio for a while. You can find other ways to get information.
Also, practice breathing with awareness. Notice the next time you are provoked and you stop breathing? Start breathing again to regain control over your thoughts and your actions, and so you can respond appropriately, instead of with anger.

I grew up in the 60's in the deep South-Florida. I never want to go back there. It is so backwards. I love Oregon, this state is looking to the future. That future means no more bickering and mud slinging by our politicians. We are sick and tired of that. Since Pennsylvania has such a rich heritage of freedom and liberty, this is the perfect state to launch the campaign to bring "We The People" back into government.

Together - all three of them putting the people and the planet over special interests.
THAT is the winning combination and it is the combination that America and the rest of the world so desperately needs at this time.

Hello all this is TeMo in Pittsburgh
(I thought I registered but it looks like I may not be, sorry about that, will try again)
Just to get back to the task at hand. I did not even bother looking at any video, links, etc. etc. I already know everything I need to know - for the first time in our lifetimes we have a chance to elect a President we can be proud of a man that truly represents America.
I also know that we have to work our butts off for Obama to win PA. And can he? Do I even need to say it? Yes He Can! Yes We Can! I was at the office opening on Tuesday and believe me we are ready. Many of us, including myself have already been working for weeks in the streets, door to door. I wish the video had shown the spontaneous cheers of Yes We Can during the opening. I already have seen bumper stickers, buttons and yard signs around town. It is amazing.
So anyone, everyone, get here and help us win PA! I had to admit this is personal. Being a PA native I want to see my homestate come out on the side of the good guys.
Word is Clinton is going to be in the St. Pat's parade this Sat. Ugh...Obama folks are also organizing our own group to walk the parade as well. So we need a big showing. Walk, run, drive, fly here on Saturday, walk the parade then hit the streets and register folks to vote.
Lets make sure Obama takes PA. We can do this, I know we can.

Or, more importantly, bring our man Obama a little luck!

um, excuse me but Reverend Wright is no longer Obama's preacher. Mr. Wright retired from that particular church two years ago. The video is old and someone has resurfaced it.
Who's being brainwashed?
Get a clue.
Want controversy?
Try googling Peter Paul and Hillary. There's your ticket.

I have to say I am engaged to this process. I love it. I just got back from a meeting in PA to GOTV and get people registered.
Read this article:
Link
It got me fired up like never. I am PA. My vote counts and I can help Barack win the nomination and get into the whitehouse. Make no mistake. PA is not going to Hillary. After an Obama staffer came to our meeting and told me a few things, he basically laid out how we can take our town. If every Obama supporter gets involved, there is NO chance we can lose. We can do this in every town in America. I am located in a battle ground area in PA, and after sitting down with the ALL but ONE person who was getting paid to do this, we looked around the room, and you could tell we were going to take this town.
This is our time, our campaign, and we are going to win this thing. Don't listen to the media. Get on the phones, get out and help, do something. Do you want to be sitting at the sidelines while history is passing you by? Join the movement, people. Blog, donate and get on the phone.
Hope that fired someone up. I am fired up and ready to go.

I worked on the ground in RI and it was very gratifying. I wish I could make it to PA, but family obligations forbid it.
I hope you can enlist friends to help, too.
Re: the article link; no wonder Hillary is so delusional! With aides like that she is indeed living in fantasyland. Better to bury her candidacy sooner rather than later, though.

Hi everyone! The blog has been updated with the March 13th *evening* news content.
For those who don't know, my name is Cris and I'm a Cuban-American who supports Barack Obama.
I run a blog that compiles pretty much every major news article and commentary that comes out each day about Senator Obama. My hope is that it's a useful tool for those who want to keep up with everything going on in the campaign. I also contribute my own commentary as well.
I hope this is helpful to everyone.

Let’s go over
how her campaign has attempted to malign Obama:
First there was “Obama the inexperienced.”
Then there was “Obama the corrupt.”
Second we had “Obama the un-vetted.”
Third was “Obama the fifth column”
Next was “Obama the unready.”
After that we were treated to “Obama the Vice President.”
And now we have “Obama the Affirmative Action candidate.”
UPDATE: The Obama of the day is "Obama the un-electable."
Watching Clinton speak and go on stage
at rallies makes me want to change the channel. She just reeks of insincerity.

Hello eveybody,
You've problably heard about Carlson Tucker being canned by MSNBC. Now it's John Gibson's turn from Faux News. Man, I feel good about that news. It's just like taking another drug dealer or thug off the streets.
I've said that many times and I'll always say it. WE ARE THE MSM MAIN SOURCE OF REVENUE. IT MEANS THAT IF WE DECIDE, EVEN FOR A MONTH, TO BOYCOTT STUFFS LIKE CNN OR FAUX NEWS (MSNBC IT'S BEEN GOOD AND OBJECTIVE LATELY) THEY WON'T SURVIVE. THAT'S WHAT THE CARL ROVE/DICK CHENEY/ CHRISTIAN COALITION MOVEMENT DID WITH FAUX AND EVERYBODY JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON TO FOLLOW THEIR RIGHT WING AGENDA.

OBAMA DID REPLY TODAY TO THIS:
Link
(MSNBC had the decency to cover this, btw, if other news stations are trying to create spin, they can be the National Enquirer if they want to)
"Q: I don't know if you've seen it, but it's all over the wire today (from an ABC News story), a statement that your pastor (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side) made in a sermon in 2003 that instead of singing "God Bless America," black people should sing a song essentially saying "God Damn America."
A: I haven't seen the line. This is a pastor who is on the brink of retirement who in the past has made some controversial statements. I profoundly disagree with some of these statements.
Q: What about this particular statement?
A:
Obviously, I disagree with that. Here is what happens when you just cherry-pick statements from a guy who had a 40-year career as a pastor. There are times when people say things that are just wrong. But I think it's important to judge me on what I've said in the past and what I believe."
Furthermore,
he is NO LONGER OBAMA'S PASTOR.
OTIS MOSS IS. THE END. ------->Link
IF I SEE THIS POSTED AGAIN BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT READING MY 80 REPLIES ALREADY MADE TODAY ON THIS, I WILL REPORT YOUR POST AS TROLLING AND HAVE IT REMOVED.

All Catholics should quit the church and publicly denounce their pastor's religious beliefs, by this standard. What has RELIGION got to do with Politics, anyway? This is not the GOP, people.

When will we realize that one is not able to separate themselves from their religious activities. Don't these devout religous people proclaim that believing is their life? So, how are we as Americans supposed to stomach a presidential candidate who refuses to unequivocally denounce this church. There are thousands of churches. Can't Obama find one where the messages reflect what he claims he believes in? His refusal to denounce his membership in such an organization questions his ability to make decisions for the good of all Americans.

Understand this. Barack is for America. This is wh running for a polital office is so difficult. The will bring up your past "dummy uncle, aunt and anyone else who does not represent your views. Let us remember. What does Barack say. not what people who associated with him said. My friend Terri Williams alwasy says ..Stay Strong. We also say. Keep your eyes on the prize. One people... One nation. They will try and divide us by black and white. A nation divided cannot stand. Thatis what we are all about.
As they say in Jamaica. One Love. Parica from CA

Senator Obama has had his religion brought up more then any Republican I can recall. I can't understand why African-AmericanS have to shine shoes to prove patriotism, while White Americans like former President Richard Nixon can claim that 'blacks are genetically inferior to Whites.' and be burried with honors BY Republicans and infact many democrats. These are the double standards that anger many African Americans. Here you have Michelle Obama's patriotism being brought into question, because she now feels proud to be an American I think is a disgrace. No African American, and no descent American can say that they have no shame of any aspect of American history. Many of us would rather be lied to in a pleasant way then told the truth, even if it is a witness against our ownselves. you can't graduate from ignorance until you admit that it exists. We live in denial, we lie to our ownselves and then we start believing these lies as truth. Many Republicans say they believe in a secure America, but explain to me how President Bush can boast of securing America with 16,000 homicides on average taking place in America? More Americans have been murdered by Americans then Muslims, Communists, Vietcong combined since 9-11-01. How can I be proud when our country has emprisoned 22% of the world's prison population, while we boast of freedom? while we only make up 5% of the population. This being said I am thoroughly ashamed of Black America, infact I'm disgusted. 70% of us are born out of weddlock, 48% of black girls are carrying an std. This shame does not negate my love for my community, infact it is shame that motivates CHANGE.
