The Road to Change [Day 3]: Michelle Obama Meet & Greet in Ames
On Friday, August 17, Michelle Obama spent some time in Ames, Iowa. She spoke about getting to know Barack and emphasized that in order to understand someone's values, you need to get to know them and where they came from. Michelle stressed Barack's consistency in making decisions that put principle over power, explaining how, throughout his life, he always tried to use his power and influence to help the less fortunate. She also spoke about Barack's experience in the Ilinois State Legislature, building bridges across the aisle to solve problems, and how he will work to unify the country when he is president.
