What a pride to have a First Lady who connects so much with her husband and the people...
By N. JULIO BARTHSON
Sunday, 01 MAR 2009
We all definitely care more about the beauty of Michelle's mind and soul than the beauty of her body, her hair, her abs, her smile, her incredibly healthy physique. But how can we hold back from expressing our admiration at her own comfort with herself, her natural features, her being, the essence of who she is as God made her?
This is the first ever black First Lady in the White House, the first black woman to move into 1600 Pennsylvania by her own free will. She is essentially African American, also very proud of it, but she's everybody's sister and every kid's mother. She sees her most important role as that of "First Mom" though she could wear so may other hats.
Michelle inspires. Her confidence with her choice of clothes and her demeanor in public has been described as a stimulus package in itself. I am proud that Barack chose such a strong woman to be the one to share his nights with. During the tough and rough days ahead, Barack will need a companion who's tougher and rougher. That's Michelle.
Kudos to the First Lady. Michelle Robinson Obama.

As Stevie Wonder would sing, "Isn't she lovely!" Michelle Obama comes out with an official portrait wearing a black sleeveless dress that exposes her beautiful arms and emphasizes the essence of her personality...

If there is any young lady out there that had any doubts about what she can't be, that myth as been disspelled. Now we have a woman that will show all young woman to that they too can excel to any level that she wants. All she has to do is to apply herself to the task that's put before her. As a mother of 5, I always told my child to let anyone or anything stand in your way of success. Go over, under or around to achieve their goals. Michele has shown that with what she has achieve. I ask God everynight to continue to bless her & her family. To help her to continue to show us that we too can reach any goals by applying ourselves. Thank You Michele for being the gracious lady that you are. God Bless Michelle & President Obama.

That is utterly fabulous, I wish I had one of these portraits!
I just moved out of a shared house after one month, when one of the guys living there went into a rant about "racist" "privileged" (!) Michelle, then the same to me when I defended her, naturally. There was no room for discussion, he was enraged by Michelle, threatened like I rarely see so openly. I guess he found me threatening too, as another strong woman, and a Caribbean.
I love Michelle, I'll defend her always against the ignorant.
