Just how would Gov. Sara Palin handle being President, should the need arise?

Here are a few scenarios to consider.

Scenario #1: It's 3 A.M. on a Monday morning and the phone rings. She answers, and it's the Pentagon wanting instructions on how to proceed since America has fell prey to a terrorist attack. I'm sure her response would be, "Well I can't disucss this with you now, because you woke the baby up. Now I'll need to change it's diaper and try to rock it back to sleep." I'm sure the Joint Chiefs of Staff and America would understand!

Scenario #2: It's 7:30 P.M. on a Saturday evening and the phone rings. She answers, and it's one of the Gulf Coast Governors needing her to come down to their state and survey damage to declare their state a disaster area due to a hurricane making landfall at a Category 3-5. Her response would probably be, "I'm sorry, I'll have to get back to you on that matter. I'm already packed and getting ready to leave for my big hunting & fishing trip in Alaska. I'll need to have my full concentration on how much fish/game I will be bringing home." Well so much for taking time out as President to help your country in their time of need!

Scenario #3: It's 4:15 P.M. on a Thursday afternoon. The House and Senate have been at odds on a final bill about healthcare and Social Security. They have finally prepared a final draft for her to consider and sign into law. They call her, she answers. Her response would probably be: "I'm baking cookies for the PTA meeting later this evening. The only decision I'm concerned with is how many chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies I will need to prepare." Well there goes helping with America's welfare and well being.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get the picture. If John McCain were to become President and he either got a severe case of Alzheimer's or had a heart attack in office, would you want the next Vice-President behaving in this manner? Would you want the White House to become nothing more than a daycare or just a wonderful place to hold girl scout or camp fire meetings? I don't think that those type of meetings would qualify as war room discussions!

I think the choice is clear. Obama/Biden 2008!!!!!

I have to disagree with you on that point. I think that a woman has every right to hold a position or hold office in the White House; just not THIS WOMAN.

Pro-Life and Pro-Choice Unite to Solve the Abortion Crisis

With prayer in school only a privilege of the wealthy children in private schools, it is no wonder the rate of unwed pregnancies and abortion has risen. Only private school children get to openly pray in school to increase morality and reduce high school drop out as they do not have the stress of being forced to pass state exams. In addition, Choice is only taken advantage of in a few private schools that collect money from the public schools to pay the tuition of children from failing school under the No Child Left Behind Law. If poor people knew that No child Left Behind allowed them to get to pray in school and not have to pass the state exams that they have failed in public school, they would rush to take advantage of this benefit. However, this part of the law is hidden to protect the public school’s control of the funds and to enable them to jail parents when their children have to endure humiliation in school from failing a state mandated test and the children often refuse to attend school to protect their self esteem. We need to have educational equality. Private schools and Home School students can pray, do not take mandated exams, and parents are not jailed when their child has five or more unexcused absences. Parent can not afford to pay for a doctor’s note when a child has a flue that does not require hospitalization and can not get an excused note from a doctor. We need free Health Care so public school children can have proof they are sick when they really are, so their parent will not be fined and jailed. This system is so unequal and against the economically disadvantaged children.

We are united in our desire to protect the unborn. A solution to the dilemma faced by the unwed, unemployed, uneducated pregnant mother is for Christians to advocate that legislation be in place to ensure that the mother will have income from social security to care for the child until 21 years old. This safety net is given to the children of widows so why not extend this protection to ensure the life of the unborn child. Welfare checks are not the answer as that system discourages marriages and often jails the fathers for failing to pay child support

I don't believe statements like this are helpful to Obama's campaign. It is completly sexist and revolting. A woman is just as capable of being President as a man, and insuniating that she is not capable because she has the responsibility of a baby and a family, instead of the real reason, which is her inexperiance and right wing ideals, is insulting to women, Obama and yourself. If Sarah Palin is unacceptable to you, then state your oppinions. Please do not associate yourself or Obama's campaign with obvious sexist statements like this. Sarah Palin is a frightening choice for VP because of her stance on creationism, war, global warming, the ecomomy, national defence, health care, and our role in the international community. Not because she is a mother with a small child, joins her children's school PTA, or goes big game hunting or fishing.

I think you missed my point on this. These statements were not meant to be sexist or insulting at all...I am a woman who has fought very hard to break the glass ceiling myself in the work world. The point I'm trying to make is we know so little of her, other than the fact that she's a hockey mom; a member of the PTA; loves to hunt and fish. That's all well and good, but that doesn't make her qualified to be able to run a country. She's got to be able, at a moments notice to make critical decisions. These decisions will forever shape our world and affect you and me for years to come. She knows zero about foreign policies. She’s in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, but if she does become President, she will be Commander-In-Chief of all the armed forces and that means another “1000” years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. That in itself is a frightening thought! It's evident in her speeches, she mirrors the Bush Administration. I have two words for you---NO CHANGE!

Now on the subject of sexist, insulting and revolting comments, let’s talk about the lipstick comment from Sara Palin. She stated the difference between a hockey mom (woman) and a pit bull was lipstick. I don't think the women of today would like to be represented by a breed of dog that at times could be vicious and that lipstick is the only difference that women have out there to prove themselves worthy in the work force. Wait, maybe she was talking about herself and not other women.

As far as I’m concerned, she’s not Hillary Clinton, Ann Richards, Nancy Pelosi or any other woman who has had years of experience and the knowledge of how our government works and what it takes to be there for the American people. To measure up to these many women, she still has a long road ahead of her.
