Senator McCain made the statement today, "Senator Obama wants to punish the 'Successful' ". My question to Senator McCain is,"Who or What determines Success?" Is it his SEVEN houses or his quarter million dollar salary?" I am a 30 year old married proud mother of two beautiful children. I work five days a week and have a midddle income salary. I am a college graduate (Florida A & M University) and a devout Christian. I represent "middle class" America. My family has been effected by the current state of the economy as almost all middle class famlies. However, I consider myself successful and I know that my children consider their mother Successful. I may never make $250,000 or own seven houses.
I found Senator McCain's "Successful " statement was divisive and degrading not only to "middle class" families, but to all citizens of America who work hard to support their families and in doing so are Successful in their own right. For SUCCESS IS THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF GOALS THAT YOU VALUE, which can only be determined by that individual, Not by your income bracket and certainly not by Senator John McCain. And he tries to label Senator Obama as an ELITIST?
