McPalin campaign is sending out this email
The stakes are extremely high and voters are already casting their ballots for the general election. You may have heard the media reports out of Ohio about same-day registration and voting. The Obama-Biden Democrats and their allies are exploiting loopholes in Ohio election laws that we fear may result in unqualified voters casting ballots. They're also hoping our voters will be so confused, that they will throw up their hands in frustration and stay at home instead of voting. That's why it's important to re-double our efforts.
The Democratic Secretary of State in Ohio even tried to disqualify thousands of Republican absentee ballot applications. She enlisted the help of liberal partisan friends and special interest groups when we challenged this in court. Thankfully, we were successful in taking the case all the way to the Ohio Supreme Court and won the right to reinstate these absentee ballot applications. The Obama-Biden Democrats will likely try this shameful, partisan tactic in other targeted states.
Sincerely,
Governor Sarah Palin
P.S. The Obama-Biden Democrats will do anything to win. Their allies are already hard at work employing shameful election tactics in Ohio and they won't stop there. We're in the final stretch of the campaign and need your immediate financial support to elect our ticket from top to bottom on Election Day. Please join our team for victory today!

John Berman, Sunlen Miller, Ursula Fahy and David Chalian report: Barack Obama didn't exactly move heaven and earth to impress his wife, but he did stop traffic.
In the town of Glenside, PA Obama's motorcade made an unannounced stop at Penny's Flowers so the Senator could buy Michelle Obama flowers for their 16th wedding anniversary.
"I wish I could just slip in and get some flowers for my wife," he said.
He wondered for just a moment for about what he should buy: "I'm thinking not red...maybe yellow?"
He settled on a bouquet of a dozen white roses surrounded in babies breath. Total price, $47.70.
The scene was somewhat reminiscent of a scene from, "The American President," a film directed by Democratic activist (though Hillary Clinton supporter) Rob Reiner. In it, the American president Andrew Shepherd (played by Michael Douglass) tries to buy flowers for his new girlfriend, Sidney Allen Wade (Annette Benning). Remember? "The dogwood is both a tree and a flower. I'd like a dozen, please. Really? No dogwoods?" He says.
***Help celebrate Barack and Michelle's anniversary by making a donation now.

I think the reservation on that is due to the zinger the GOP would throw back... and gets too complicated and time consuming for many to understand on both sides of this game. That's my guess anyway. Either that or reserved for the final blow! But it sure doesn't stop us from raising awareness that one of McCain's corrupt scandals cost taxpayers over $124.6 Billion! The nerve for McCain to continually speak of stopping the corruption just blows me away!

Springsteen adds more Obama dates
Before he shares a stage with Billy Joel Oct. 16 in New York to raise money for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, Bruce Springsteen hits the road this weekend for pro-Obama shows in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.
Springsteen fan site Backstreets.com reports the Boss is expected to play a free acoustic show tomorrow afternoon at an Obama rally in Philadelphia (ticket information is here), followed by a set Sunday at Ohio State University, and then a headline performance Monday at a rally Eastern Michigan University.
The Michigan rally comes as the McCain campaign has decided to cede Michigan to Obama while focusing on building support in states where the GOP candidate's numbers are better.
How about showing a little love for Obama and Springsteen, by making a donation now.

The guy who was exchanging voter's card for my pop cans hasn't came in awhile... so I'll be turning them in to donate what is gained over the weekend!
Looking forward to reminding people to get there mail-in ballots turned in when we receive them; so many set them aside and forget... NOT THIS TIME!
The number 3 is not my lucky number so I'm hoping to get past that # really soon... only $50 away in doing so! Can you help remove such cloud?

Great post on fivethirtyeight.com. No action at McCain campaign headquarters in Missouri.
"Given a choice between taking embarrassing photos of empty phone banks, we give McCain’s people the chance to pose for photos to show us the action for what they continually claim we “just missed.” No more. We stop into offices at all open hours of the day, but generally more in the afternoon and evening. “Call time,” for both campaigns, is all day, but the time when folks over 65 are generally targeted begins in late afternoon and goes til 8 or 9pm. Universally, McCain’s people stop earlier. Even when we show up at 6:15pm, we’re told we just missed the big phone bank, or to come back in 30 minutes. If we show up an hour later, we “just missed it” again."

The same criticism can be leveled at McCain as well. I stood out for 12 hours for the Primary with two Ron Paul supporters. We had a great time. We agreed that McCain was no way, no how, representing fiscal conservative principles. If you have government spending, then the government should pay for it. McCain says Obama has $800 billion in new spending, but fails to mention that McCain has $1400 billion (yes, $1.4 Trillion) in new taxes that - in fact - is spending, he will borrow money to give money to the wealthiest Americans. That is class warfare - taking money from the middle class and poor and giving it to the rich.
My two new friends, the Ron Paul supporters will never vote for McCain, and I'm sure you won't either. You will either vote for Barr, because you are a protester, or you will, however, reluctantly, vote for Obama. Because Obama shares a number of important positions with you. Get out of IRAQ ASAP, continue the work he already has done with transparency in government spending, and cut waste, fraud and abuse. You also admire Obama for putting together the same type of grass roots effort that Ron Paul put together. Dedicated people following a principled leader.
No, you don't agree with a lot of Obama's principles, because you have a libertarian philosophy. But if you have to choose between McCain and Obama - and that was your only choice - admit it, you'd choose Obama, wouldn't you?

Bruce Springsteen nad Billy Joel to Play Barack Obama Fundraiser
Rock stars Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are teaming up for their first joint concert ever in New York City. The concert will benefit Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, who plans to make an appearance.
Seeing the two superstars together won't come cheap. Tickets start at $500 and range up to $10,000, but most of the proceeds will go to the candidate. If that's too rich for your blood there is another big rock blow fundraiser for Obama in Brooklyn.
The Springsteen-Joel concert will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Oct. 16, the day after Obama's final debate with Republican John McCain. The two presidential candidates are scheduled to hold the debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., on Long Island.
Before that happens, the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn will host a “BarackRock Benefit,” with a full line up of artists. Among those who will be playing: Andrew Bird, Eugene Mirman, The Fiery Furnaces, Kumail Nanjiani , Alina Simone, Heather Lawless, Guster, Lizz Winstead, Martin Bisi, John Roberts, Adira Amram and Les Savy Fav Acoustic Spectacular.
Josh Hamilton will be reading George Saunders' New Yorker magazine article on Sarah Palin.
There'll be the Stage for Change, where seven Musical Acts and seven Speaking Acts will be Hyping the Hope. There'll also be the Obama Room where you can watch the debate, register to vote, and sign up to volunteer for Obama. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased at the Mercury Lounge or the Music Hall box office or online at Ticketmaster.
Please celebrate Barack and Michelle's anniversay by making a small donation.

I'm mad because if you're a woman at a debate, you just have to not mess up and wink and smile to do a good job. This doesn't apply however if you are a Democrat.
I'm really mad that this election is as close as it is and that people will pick the "folksy" charm rather than any policy issue.

I was disgusted by the vp debate. It makes me upset that I can be the same species as anyone who considers that clown Palin to be even considerable for VP. The debate was an insult to Biden, an insult to the election, and more importantly, an insult to the electorate. I know more policy than Palin and guarantee I have a higher IQ than her. She is an idiot with no idea what she is doing, and on top of that is a manipulative, lie-telling, shrill annoyance. I don't find her ludicrous "folksy" talk to be endearing.. it was pathetic. Her repeated use of the misnomer "nucular" was also pathetic. After Bush, how can anyone still use that on national TV?
She didn't even look at Joe and she was extremely rude. Unfortunately, many people in the US are so stupid that they were tricked by her superficial smiles and idiotic winking bs that they didn't realize that her demeanor was completely offensive. Considering she was completely out of her league (the only league she's ready for is a 2nd grade one), what audacity for her to keep talking smack. Completely unfounded lies, refusal to answer questions, mispronunciations of people's names, lack of knowledge of what an Achilles heel is, blatant regurgitation of canned lines, and a personality more fitting for a highschool student government election defined her performance last night.
The media is to blame for this nonsense. The moderator last night should have RIPPED Palin a new one for refusing to answer questions. Why do we have to handle women with rubber gloves? Quit bitching like babies about sexism when you’re running for a top office, you whiny pathetic excuse for a human being. Everyone that approves of Palin should lose their voting rights permanently. I do not want my life screwed up any more by these half-wits who don’t even educate themselves on their vote and make choices based on the fact that she is an “outsider” (see: idiot) and “energizing” whatever the hell that means. I already had to deal with Bush for 8 years. I believe in freedom of choice only if you actually educate yourself on your choice. I have not heard a SINGLE legitimate argument from the McCain supporters about Palin’s worth. That’s because there isn’t one. All they do is perpetuate the already disproven lies about Obama’s campaign like drooling robots.

The country is in trouble because of this administration and their cohorts.
Oh and the racists that are still running a muck in some parts of the USA. BTW, where are you from?

here is another attemp to hurt Barack by those he know. I replied to this article: I am "My Brother's Keeper".
Link
Please make a comment on Barack's behalf.
Here is what I said:
It's amazing to me how many times people are guilty by association. It's plan and simply wrong. Let's take Jesus Christ - most would say he was a good man. He had 12 "friends". Some of them had been thieves, violent men, even tax collectors. Oh, he even had two really good women friends - one was named Mary (an ex-hooker- so they say). His mother (another Mary) was unmarried when she conceived. That would have made her "that kind of girl" to those who didn't believe her story. You know what I mean. So tell me, was Jesus a good man - even with these people in his life who were his friends and family?
Think about that before you judge Barack Obama. You cannot condemn a man because of people he knows or have laughed with over a game of cards from time to time. Judge him for what only "he" has done or has not done".
Obama/Biden 2008 (and 2012 - four years is not enough time to help humanity and to repair our nation.)

Hi There!
Followed your link, and saw that the "Newspaper" this crap is published on is the Washington Times, a far-right rag established by the "moonies"...
Started to do a posting to support yours, but would have had to "register" on that site, and wouldn't want do that.
Just consider the source....
News World Communications, the company controlled by Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church that also operates The Washington Times and the wire service United Press International.
Book, Bad Moon Rising: How Reverend Moon Created the Washington Times, Seduced the Religious Right, and Built an American Kingdom...
by John Gorenfeld (Author)
When looking to explain the ascendancy of the paleo-conservatives in U.S. politics, few commentators have remarked upon the sinister and seminal influence of the enigmatic and unfathomably wealthy Sun Myung Moon.
Who else has the resources to unflinchingly lose billions on a newspaper, The Washington Times, merely to champion conservative causes, in the teeth of all evidence and in defiance of all flagrant hypocrisy?
John Gorenfeld in BAD MOON RISING chronicles the rise of a pseudo-Messiah to the point of fooling a brace of senators and congressmen into crowning him "King of Peace" at the Senate Dirksen Building in 2004, in a wide-ranging account that moves back and forth from Moon's early years in Korea in the 1950s to his dotage claiming imaginary converts from among the ranks of dead U.S. presidents.

PLEASE PLEASE everyone stay VIGILANT, we can not let our gaurd down for one second, to much is at stake.
The Republicans, McCain & Palin will stop at nothing to win. This going to get real ugly real fast.
We have to act like we are down by 10, We have to make sure everyone that is registered to vote is legit, and that their vote will count.
It doesn't help to get 250K new voters registered and then 150K are purged because of some error on their form.
I'm excited, but also very nervous, there is still to much time left.
I think the campign needs to run an add showing how Palin wants more power than Cheney. That should scare a lot of people.
REMEMBER WE CAN NOT LET UP FOR ONE SECOND!
WE MUST CONTINUE TO PUSH FORWARD TIL NOV 5TH!
PLEASE STAY VIGILANT, STAY FOCUSED, STAY STRONG!

MCCAIN TAKES MONEY FROM CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL |

In the October 13,2008 issue of People Magazine there is an article called "Daring to Care" on page 81. It talks about Dr. Randy Christensen who is funded by Phoenix Children's Hospital. There are more than 7,000 homeless teens on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. This doctor goes around and offers them free health care working 60 hours a week. There is a harrowing story about gang rape on a young homeless woman at the beginning of the article.
But if you read the article in the following link:
Link
...you will see that Cindy McCain is discussed and the following information is included:
"The profits of the beer business have been put to good use in her husband's career, as the alcohol industry funds him (MCCAIN) more generously than any other politician in the Senate. Even Cindy McCain's high-profile charitable work for children has to play second fiddle. When Phoenix Children's Hospital suggested raising money for hospital beds by taxing alcohol sales, the Hensley company (CINDY'S FAMILY NAME) fought it and is now trying to change the laws so that a tax increase on alcohol is unlikely to pass."
The whole article is quite revealing but I think with all of the wonderful work that Phoenix Children's Hospital does, it is an outrage that her company is blocking money for hospital beds to fund McCain's political career. According to the article McCain is an awful husband.
