Actress Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice) stopped by Bryn Mawr College last night to speak about why she supports Barack. In a science lecture hall, over 200 students listened to Kate speak about women’s issues, healthcare, the war in Iraq and why Barack should receive the Democratic nomination.
After meeting Barack, Kate felt inspired by his call to action. She then researched Barack's policies by reading his Blueprint for Change booklet. Kate has followed Barack since early last year and noticed that “he hasn’t changed his focus throughout his entire campaign.”
Barack has impressed Kate with the way he runs his campaign. She told the students that:
You can see how a leader will act by the way a campaign is run. Barack doesn’t just talk about campaign finance reform—it’s happening. He isn’t taking or giving political favors. Every person is of special interest to him. He has this country’s best interest in mind.
After taking questions from students, Kate challenged everyone to help make change by voting for Barack. Two volunteers for the campaign, Amy and Stephanie, have already joined the movement.
Stephanie, a Bryn Mawr student, realized how important this primary was and wanted to focus of getting the word out.
People are still on the fence about this primary and it’s too important to not do anything.
