Our grassroots supporters have organized over the past 19 months to show that people working from the ground up can bring real change to Washington. This weekend presents another great opportunity to affect change. After Barack officially claims the Democratic nomination for president, supporters in all 50 states will spend the weekend working for change.Across the country, volunteers and staffers will spend part of their Labor Day weekend preparing our grassroots organization for the final two months of the campaign. At house parties, picnics, organizational meetings, and local rallies, grassroots supporters will register first-time voters and recruit volunteers by talking to people in their communities about Barack.Over 3,200 events have already been created on my.barackobama.com for this weekend. Join our supporters today and create an event of your own for this weekend. If you have already created an event, you can tell us about it at blogs@barackobama.com.
