I worked in North Carolina for the campaign, and when I came back, I started looking for something that was going on nationally. I wanted [people] to feel like a part of a national event. It’s not only a local grassroots type of thing, but it’s going on in other cities and states across the country.This is giving us an opportunity for a real sense of community. When you work on this campaign, you experience that. It’s a great feeling. We have fewer opportunities to feel like that these days, and the way Obama approaches this as a community organizer, he encourages that feeling.I love being around people who are working for the same goal. We all feel connected already – even people we don’t know – we all feel connected in support of this man who is a true inspiration.
