Senator Obama is now more focus on the economy, which is the main issue of American people today. He is doing very well. You can see that change is coming.
Of course, some strategists against Obama will keep saying that he is not good in economy. The problem is that the economy is now very bad, and Obama is not the one who is managing it. People with experience are in charge.
Therefore, Obama does not need a bad management experience. Instead, he is coming with something new. That is why people want and need him.

guys what are your perspectives on this upcoming event on the 18th at the national press club. why is the NPC hosting this individual and how can someone be allowed to make such outrageous allegations against BO. this i find very disturbing. the privacy laws here in Europe would not permit such events to even take place. i mean where is the evidence. we need to fight back. i can bet you fox news will cover the event. on the Washington journal this morning some lady had the audacity to request that cspan cover the event. she went on to insinuate that the allegation were true.

i just dont get it. there must be a limit to these smear campaigns!!!!!!!!

Please forward your concerns to HQ. My understanding is that he is not getting NPC coverage. He has rented a room there and my understanding is that the press does not take him serious or as legitimate so they will not be covering this. Tim Russerts funeral is tentatively scheduled for that day so he will get no press out of this.

I called the Tabloid Club yesterday morning but was not able to get through for a few hours because the grassroots were taking action. I finally got through at 1 o'clock, and a tired, nice lady just repeated what she's been reciting to everybody:

"The Club is not sponsoring this event. Anybody can rent our rooms. We are not broadcasting it".

I then stated that I was aware they were not sponsoring it but since the rooms were affiliated with the Club, viewers may assume that the Club is the sponsor. She then just repeated that they have nothing to do with it. (I read at another site that a few dozen reporters are covering it).

I have the Club's # on speed dial on my cell. Please everyone, call this nice lady on Monday! Just remain calm but keep her on the phone for as long as you can.

It's been pretty well reported and my approach is that the Chicago headquarters will know whether and how to respond. It's this discredited guy who's using the appearance to make some news, or try to.

My thought is, "brush it off" (insert shoulder brushing here) and let's register some more voters!!

"Gas rationing in the 70's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even have been good for us!

Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products? In addition, they are gouging us on oil prices. Shouldn't we return the favor? Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings? How about leaving American Dollars in America and reduce the import/export deficit?

One appealing remedy might be to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up your car you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia . Just purchase gas from companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

The following gas companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell......................... ........... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco................ .... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil........................ 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway............. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco......................... ......... 62,231,000 barrels
And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez who hates America and openly avows our economic destruction! (We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!)

The U.S. currently imports 5,517,000 barrels of crude oil per day from OPEC. If you do the math at $100 per barrel, that's over $550 million PER DAY ($200 BILLION per year!) handed over to OPEC, many of whose members are our confirmed enemies!!!!! It won't stop here - oil prices could go to $200 a barrel or higher if we keep buying their products.

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Sinclair...................... . 0 barrels
BP / Phillips................ 0 barrels
Hess. ............................. 0 barrels

Murphy Oil USA* ............. 0
Sold at Wal-Mart , gas is from South Arkansas and fully USA owned and produced. *Not only that but they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens.

All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
