Barack spread hope to millions of Americans during the five month Primary season. And for the next five months, he'll continue to spread hope to millions more. In response to Tuesday night’s nomination clinch, Sara in Oregon explained how Barack gave her hope for the future:
This is a very emotional and proud moment for me because I have believed in Barack's message, hopes and dreams for our country since he first caught my attention back in January. He has given me hope and confidence for our future and filled me with inspiration to want to be involved with this movement for change. He brought me over from the Republican side and made a Democrat out of me, and he's the first candidate that's been able to do that in my 28 years of being old enough to vote. I support him mightily and will do everything in my little corner of the USA to help get him to the White House!
Sara, a nurse, first saw Barack while watching a debate in January. She watched him jog over to the edge of the stage where he greeted members of the audience and was shocked by his personable and approachable personality. She logged onto our website, read every one of Barack’s policies and then switched her voter registration from Republican to Democrat. Barack is someone, who Sara believes, will keep her and her family safe. He impressed her with his tolerance and patience during times of adversity and controversy. And not only did she switched parties, but her Republican parents now support Barack.During the primary season, Sara remembers seeing Barack speak at the University of Oregon.
When Barack came to Mac Court in Eugene, I stood in line for seven hours and would do it all over again! It was an incredible experience, and one I had never had before. Mac Court was packed to the rafters and the excitement inside was so intense it seemed that the walls would burst! I'll never forget that day.
You can help us spread hope across the nation as we fight to bring change to Washington. If you donate now, your contribution will be matched by a first time donor who is just now coming on board to help us with the task ahead.
