Hi everyone!

The Chicago Chapter of Runners for Obama completed a 5k a couple weeks ago. We covered ourselves in stickers and buttons and had a blast! Julie even wore an Obama bumper sticker on her back. Here is a picture with Julie, Nicole and me before the race:

Chicago in January | Report to Admin

Sounds like you guys had fun running. Good for you!

I'll be in Chicago for work in January, 8th - 11th. Any Obama Runners Chicago Chapter runs anticipated at that time? Maybe one could be organized to celebrate Obama's Iowa Caucus victory?

I've done three runs this year in my Obama gear here in Des Moines, IA. A 20K "Dam to Dam" in June, a 10-mile "Capital Pursuit" in September and Des Moines Half-Marathon in October. I think that's it for my Obama runs before the caucuses. I guess I'll need to transition from running to talking to all my friends.

Thanks for all your work! Our next run is the Turkey Trot and then the Rudolph Ramble in December. Nothing for January yet -- although I love the idea of a caucus celebration run!!!

Amanda - Thinking about the timing of my Chicago trip a bit more, it seems like January 8 will likely be NH primary night. Do you expect there will be any NH results watching parties in Chicago by the campaign/Obama supporters/Runners for Obama Chapter? It could be fun to join Obama hometown supporters for a beer and to watch the results come in.

I'm sure there will be lots of watching parties here since Chicago is obsessed with Barack. Although I don't know if anything is planned yet. I'll let you know what I find as the date gets nearer.
