It's unfortunate that things like this are still happening in 2008. I hope that the Franklin police department is making a REAL effort to find who did this.

This is just another sobering reminder of how much hate there is in the world. Whoever did this must really be afraid that a black man might actually become President of the United States. Do McCain supporters really have this much hate in their hearts?? I'm sure McCain would be ashamed to know that one of his supporters is a racist thug.

Trust this is only the beginning. Should Barack make it to office, the hate crimes are only going to get worse. I hate to say this but as much as I want to see Barack and Biden make it, I can’t help but have the greatest fear for them and their families. But we cannot stand around and live in fear. We as minorities will never break through the barriers that stand before us if we don’t take a stand. If Barack and Biden can continue to stand up for us and face the hatred from those that just don’t get it, then we need to continue to stand behind them and strengthen our support. Times are critical and we need to act now. There’s no reason why we still have over 8 million people who are not registered to vote. This is not a game, the gloves need to come off and we need to get everybody we can to secure our future and get people in office who will be there for us. We can not afford to allow republicans in office who clearly have no plans for the American people, who use their power for personal gain. It’s time to get it together and take back our country and let those haters know that we aren’t going any where and the white house is just the beginning. And if those who engage in hate crimes against minorities do not want to share this land with us, then they need to leave.
