Hello Illinoisans! We’d like to reflect on the efforts of some of our busiest volunteers! Bradley University students have been hard at work, balancing their school work and volunteering for Senator Obama! Their political activism has certainly paid off!!! From Sister City trips to phone banking, they’ve reached out to Iowans and made a huge difference!! One of the students at Bradley wrote in to tell us about what they’ve been doing this Fall Semester!
As the semester winds down at Bradley and finals start to pick up, BU Student for Barack takes a bit of a break to study - but the multiple trips we took to Iowa, seemingly countless phone banks, and long hours of data entry and organizing are still fresh in our minds. The hard work has paid off as Obama seems to do better and better by the day. Being ranked by Princeton Review as the Third Least Political Campus in the U.S., Bradley has been just the opposite this Fall of '07. Roughly eight canvassing trips to Iowa, nine phone banks, and thousands of calls later, Bradley and the Obama campaign has something to be proud of - this kind of political organizing has never been this prominent on our campus until now. As they say, "if it plays in Peoria, it will play anywhere" - Well Obama's been a hit here, so if the motto plays out, we're sittin’ pretty for the rest of the country. Obama '08!
Illinois – we’ve got just a few weeks left until the Iowa caucuses – it’s time to reach out more than ever before! Please sign up to volunteer for Senator Obama!!!!
