We are taught a vast array of subjects in school covering everything from how to properly create a sentence to how to synthesize a chemical reaction. We study math, literature and science. We even study history.
But there's one subject that doesn't seem to be covered in life. It is very much on the job training. And that is how to make history.
Yet that is what we are doing. We do so without any real training or a priori knowledge on how to steer the ship as we guide it through the historical waters.
All of us can help in this endeavor and do our part. Recently, I travelled to Knoxville to help GOTV and canvassed from door to door. It was one of the most satisfying things I've ever done and have resolved to do it again in Ohio very soon.
Do not sit idle while history passes you by. Make calls. GOTV. Canvass. Talk to your friends and neighbors. Donate. Do something.
Remember that history is written by the winners. I'd like for us to be the ones writing it.
