I can't help but feel that I speak for many others when I say this is the first time in years I have felt hope because of a candidate. In recent elections, it has seemed as if choosing someone was a battle of "who's the lesser evil?" rather than who's the better candidate to represent the people.
But there is something decidedly different about Barack that is difficult to fully describe. I have a new level optimism that there is indeed a bright future for our great country that can propel our people and our nation to new levels of excellence. For the first time, I am inspired to become involved. I personally feel a profound sense of duty to do everything I can to help Senator Obama in his bid to make our country a better place.
I'm proud to say I'm going to do my part in this campaign. I believe in Barack and in his ideals. I believe he can and, dare I say, SHOULD win both the primary and general elections. I believe the burden is on all of us who share his vision for a brighter future to help him succeed. But most of all, I believe in the People to see who is the right person for the job.
Let the work begin.
