Dear friends... I hate to be a downer, but I just got off the phone with a friend in an Indy newsroom with a bleak analysis if not prognostication. First of all, a caveat: His information is third party to me. I hope this gives this information lost validity from "playing telephone."

That said, I sent notes to several stations in the Hoosier state... suggesting they check recent voter registration records. Looking for Republican cross overs of white men over thirty... the bulk of which are most likely not those inspired by either Clinton or Obama and more likely taking part in the Rush Limbaugh inspired shenanigans via Operation Chaos as apparently had a significant impact in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Since the Hoosier primary is "open," registered GOP members can cast ballots for candidates in the Democratic primary, new voters do NOT need to register as a Dem to cast a ballot for the candidate their choice to face the presumptive Republican nominee and we know who the McC-Camp would prefer be their November opponent.

While it appears this station will NOT report this tonight because of the possibility of conjecture and double independent variables... their initial exam of the registration records indicate as many as 35% of the new registrations (both Dem and GOP) in Marion County may fit the OpChaos demographic profile. :'( :-( :'(
