Thanks to all who wrote notes of support for my earlier message with the email I shipped to the White House. It appears no one is coming to arrest me, maybe I am on the Bush Twit Filter and no one read my outrage filled message. However, guess I should have expected this.... looks like MSM is not challenging Bush's politicizing comments before the Israeli Knesset - instead claiming this points to a weakness in the Obama foreign policy agenda?!?!?!
Wrong fanny faces!
It points to a danger you have ignored for 7-years... a Cowboy Diplomacy program that has made the world a far more dangerous place and put Americans at infinitely greater peril. A few admit Bush's comments are intended to sway not just Israeli politicians... but American Jewish voters. That much has validity... and MUST be addressed.
So... to counter it.... PLEASE CALL EVERY JEWISH FRIEND, CO-WORKER, NEIGHBOR... EVERYONE YOU KNOW. Make the point I have been making all day: Any peace treaty signed only by friends is worthless! Excluding enemies from the process will only guarantee hostilities will NEVER end and the terrorist threat will continue. It is not appeasement... it is involvement.
There are ways to structure the framework of talks... setting prerequisites that put the burden on our current foes - that must be met before they can take part in diplomatic discussions. Obama will work to make this possible. Bush and anyone dedicated to extending his legacy will not. Their answer is always more warfare. Words lead to peace... firing more bullets do not. Convince everyone you know: Obama is our only hope for peace in the future. A continuation of the failed Bush undiplomatic policies will only keep America, Israel, and the rest of the planet at more risk.
