Does Florida need more reason to go with Obama over McCan't?
An hour after Tropical Storm Fay came ashore in Florida for the THIRD time....
President Bush has finally declared a State of Emergency.
Need I remind anyone... the crisis with evacuations started Sunday night with the Keys raked on Monday?
A 4th day later.... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.... THIS White House finally makes the call.
The cease fire between Georgia and Russia went into effect August 13th... and US relief shipments were off the ground that night! Two huge US Air Force cargo planes landed in Georgia on August 14th... and since then Washington promised $1-Billion in relief.
NOTE: The White House responded this way to honor a promise for speedy help to our foreign ally - made by Senator McCain, under guidance by one of his top campaign aides..
Randy Scheunemann
, who just happens to be.... a registered agent/lobbyist for the country of.... GEORGIA!
As of today, August 21, 2008, President Bush has STILL not released the funds to complete rebuilding New Orleans levees destroyed 3-years ago by Hurricane Katrina. (Now in the 2009 budget plan.) There is no way to tell how many of the 1800 deaths (and 700 people still missing) perished because of unconscionable delays getting
federal
help to the disaster area.
Do we want our next President more responsive to foreign states than to people in our own country? Only if you are willing fall victim to another debacle like the delayed federal response to New Orleans... after Katrina hit!
Just a thought to not forget....
