Two-three other friends and myself will be driving from Baltimore to join the door to door canvassing efforts in Iowa.

1) In no more than 4 lines, what is the strongest message you want me to deliver to Iowans? Please consider this seriously and make it concise and believable, as if YOU were knocking on their doors.

For 8 days we'll be delivering your messages to Iowa. Lets bring about change. Meaningful change we can believe in.

2) Could you please help me and find the titles of every Iowa newspaper and Iowa elected official who has endorsed Barack?

Here's my thoughts on #1 | Report to Admin

On a message to deliver to Iowans:

"There's a lot of talk from all the candidates about taking on special interests and cleaning up Washington. Every 4 years, politicians talk about taking on special interests - and it really is important - it's the most fundamental thing we need to do to get anything else done that we want (including fixing healthcare, energy, ...). The question is, when each candidate was in the position to change our government for the better and let sunlight into the dark corridors of Washington, did he or she take action? What I know is that Sen. Obama did, with every chance he got - he closed lobbying loopholes, fixed campaign finance laws, led ethics reform in Illinois and in Washington, pushed for government transparency, and the list goes on. And he did all those things in spite of a Republican majority in the senate (pre-2007, they were) and through Bush himself. Imagine what he could do as president. Actually, we don't have to imagine - he has bold plans for it all."

First let me say WOW, driving from MD, that is amazing, how long will that take?

I am proud of you and your friends for doing this. I was in NH last weekend and will be there the 5th-8th and have canvassed in SC as well. It is very exciting to meet face to face with the voters.

My 4 Points I would like you to share:
1) Barack Obama is the most electable Democrat, that can and will change the atmosphere in Washington. He has proven this time and again working with a majority Republican Senate in IL and now in the US Senate.
2) Barack has a record of good judgement and that is why over 60 Renowned Foreign Policy Experts endorse Barack.
3) Health Care - His plan has the best chance of passing in Congress. You cannot mandate adults and how would it be enforced.
4) Barack has not changed his position ever about bringing all Americans together starting with what we have in common.

You may get some questions like is he pro-choice, and what I say is, he is pro-privacy which is why Roe vs. Wade became law. Barack hopes that one day we can get to a place where people won't have to have abortions, his preference is to understand why people are having them, is it economics, etc? I heard him say that on a debate once. I used it in SC, along with the fact that God gives us free choice and in the end we have to answer to Him, that went over well.

Elect someone with the judgment that would have avoided the war in Iraq.

Don't elect anyone who voted in favor of launching that war.

1. Only candidate who will be able to create a broad bipartisan mandate for change. It doesn't matter how many plans you have if you will not be able to bring people together to pass them.
Barack has a proven record.
2. Finally, a President whose life is a role model and who commands respect.
Proven record.
3. Will challenge Americans to participate in their government. Proven record.

4. Will tell people the truth. Proven record.

I'm kind of cheating because I'm here in Iowa already but I wanted to mention that it's worth looking for a chance to talk about electability with Iowans. This winds up being a big issue on caucus night. A lot of last minute deciders are Democrats first who haven't been won over by any candidate. You can guess this because we've been hammered by these campaigns for months now. Last minute deciders haven't fallen in love with a candidate and mostly they want a Democrat who is going to win the election.

It's no mistake that the Clinton campaign ran a blitz of electability propaganda including President Bill driving up the fear factor on Obama. Well, a candidate with a nearly 50% negativity rating nationwide is definitely not our most electable.

Use anecdotes about former Republicans and Independents you know who are getting on board with Obama. Paint the picture for them of what it looks like when you combine the party's core supporters in the general election with all the new voters Obama draws to the ticket. Besides, the polls are starting to really reflect Obama's superior electability as well. Just look at the new Zogby. I'm sure you've seen it.

That issue is pretty much what turned the 04 caucus. I believe they got the answer wrong that year but it doesn't change the fact that electability is definitely more important with caucus-goers than most people want to admit.

Emphasize Healthcare | Report to Admin

I would suggest an emphasis on Healthcare. It seems that there has been a concentrated effort to diminish the strength of Senator Obama's plan.

Some important points:

1. Mandates don't work, nor do they cover everyone.
2. Senator Obama's plan can be implemented prior to the end of his first term.
3. His plan would allow children to remain on parent's policies until age 25. Not only does this eliminate many of the alleged 15 million reported as uncovered by the opposition, it is very attractive to parents of college aged students.
4. HRC has not been clear about consequences for those who don't adhere to the mandates, and mandating all of us to buy insurance will add to the profits of the insurance industry that is financing her campaign via their lobbyists. I have not seen any proposals for managing costs/profits either.
