HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE who came out on President's day for our Western North Carolina Obama 2008 Grassroots Campaign Kickoff.

Here's what we accomplished:

Established core community supporting Obama covering a region that includes E. Tennessee, W. North Carolina and South Carolina.
Planted seeds for student groups at 3 universities.
Identified web director, special event guru and fundraising volunteers
Provided support and backup documents for new groups forming in Burnsville and Johnson City
Made friends and inspired one another.

Hugh said something that really synced in me while driving home last night. Obama draws in a beautiful, distinct kind of soul. I have attended hundreds of political campaign events and never found so many people with such integrity and sense of purpose. Thanks everyone.

Our next event is in 4-5 weeks and next time, we'll hire a professional videographer!
