As an ex-republican, I see some things that I did not see before. I see the tactics that were used to defeat Gore and Kerry. I believe we have the best candidate in a long time, but deceit can be effective, it worked before. I don't think we need to go negative at all, I think we need to call McCain out on his slanderous robocalls and his supporters' foodstamp flyers. I think that the people that are only following McCain based on his Obama attacks are not getting a chance to make an informed vote. I just see the Dems as being nice guys, maybe too nice. I would just hate to see us lose the election because we let the RNC get away with "Karl Rove" tactics once again. What is the best way to fight back? Remember, we are in the lead right now, but those tactics wear voters down like a river pounding on a rock, it takes a while, so we don't have much time.

I think the American people are smarter than the GOP gives them credit for. Lies, deception, fear tactics won't win out this time. "NOT THIS TIME"!
IRAQ > WMD > NONE! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? 4400 DEATHS! BIN LADEN WHERE? LIARS! NOT THIS TIME!
Stay Fired Up! I am! Obama's at the ARCH tommorow and I'll be there! How much better does it get? (Its been a long ride; but we will do this!) ***OBAMA/BIDEN ***YES WE WILL..

Yes, you could have a point. I am sure most of the people at McCain rallies are not that far gone. They would most likely believe anything anyway. I just want to make sure the election is not stolen this time. An honest defeat, I can live with, but not one that is lost by dirty and underhanded tactics. McCain said he would keep it respectful. Obama has kept it respectful.

Yeah, those attacks definitely turned me off. They turned me off to the point that I may never for GOP again and I grew up GOP on my own. My parents were always Dems. I was exposed to Limbaugh's tv show and his books in my late teens. I kind of stuck with it, blindly. However the perpetual smear campaigns do get old, to a reasonable person after a while.

I think the youth will determine this election and thank God they can't relate to Limbaugh or Farrakhan.
If they can't steal it they'll just put a cloud of doubt over it... That's why we have to keep working; In it to WIN it as HRC said.
My daughter just called and said, "We GOT this"!

Your daughter called? That's cool. I have just listened to some people on tv talking about how McCain and Joe the plumber insulted our intelligence and it turned people off during the CNN instapolling. No matter what, we have to keep on going, even if Obama was ahead by 25 points in all of the polls, we need to get out the vote just to make a point. Even I realize the bigger the victory, the more seriously our expections will be considered. So there is absolutely no reason not to get out and vote this time. We gotta make a point. I do believe, no matter how negative the RNC gets, if most of the people that intend to vote for Obama actually go to the polls, he will win.
