[1.] He has captured the imagination of young people, who have become energized around the election with hard work, commitment, idealism, and skill.
[2.] His campaign staff, management, and strategies are superior; this should carry over to his White House staff.
[3.] His contributions come from 1.5 million individuals, not special interest groups and lobbyists.
[4.] He employs a different, more democratic, inclusive leadership style in contrast to "I am the decider" Bush. He counts on citizen involvement.
[5.] He believes in a foreign policy of diplomacy and negotiating, not shoot first/talk later.
[6.] He tells the truth, even if it hurts, and refuses to pander to voters with the ineffective gas tax vacation, etc.
[7.] He offers tax cuts for the middle class, not the rich, and will provide financial help to send kids to college
[8.] He will not reward companies which send jobs overseas with tax cuts.
[9.] He promotes not the red vs. blue states but the United States.
[10.] He thinks the U. S. can be better than we are.
And as a bonus, there's Michelle, who is smart, accomplished, and who thinks for herself.
