Scott Ruffner was a member of the Maine delegation at the Democratic National Convention in 2004, where he heard Senator Barack Obama deliver the keynote address that propelled him into the national spotlight. Ruffner is serving as a delegate again this year, where he will see Senator Obama accept his party’s nomination for President of the United States tomorrow night.
Ruffner is a real estate broker from Bangor, Maine. He is a longtime supporter of Senator Obama, and is working to make Obama and other candidates successful in Maine this November.
“Barack Obama will restore fiscal responsibility to our government and get our economy back on track,” says Ruffner. “Obama will deliver real relief from high energy prices, provide quality and affordable health care for all Americans, and create opportunities for hardworking Mainers to get ahead. That’s the leadership we need to make real change happen.”
Mainers in every corner of the state are getting involved in this year’s election to elect Barack Obama and candidates up and down the ticket. The activism and excitement in Bangor and throughout the state is inspiring many Mainers to get involved and work to make change happen.
