Being a good friend means standing on your own sometimes. It means telling a friend when they are wrong/right but hurtful. A good friend knows how to distance themselves from certain actions without burning a bridge. Obama never threw Wright under the bus. I respect him for that. Obama taught me how to maintain my honor, correct a friend ( for being hurtful ) and leave his relationship in tact.
Rev. Wright seems to treat his friends in the same way the Clintons do, with a throw them under the bus attitude. The Clintons do this constantly and Wright, from the same generation I might add, seems to have the same attitude. I am saddened by their actions because it comes from pure selfishness. There is a truth to what Wright says about the country, but to belittle what Obama stands for and why he is running to defended his own actions is completely Clintonesque.

It was admirable when you stood up for Wright, and I understood that the media was running only sound bites. But, now, he is really putting your campaign in jeopardy! There is no good reason for Wright to be projecting himself into the spotlight at your expense at this time. And, frankly, listening to him in full rather sound bites is not good news.
This is surely not the man you respected so highly. Go public and say that unfortunately he no longer sounds like the man you grew so fond of ... and you no longer are going to be associated with him ... please do somethign before he destroys you.

Wright can not destroy Obama. Wright like the Clintons seems good at only destroying himself. He has no flock. He is retired and sometimes older men have a problem with being in retirement. Look at Bill Clinton and what he has done to Hillary's chances. Both men seem to have a problem surrendering the spotlight, but Obama's lucky. He is not married to Wright. Wright won't be moving into the white House. If Hillary wins we will have a problem with PREZ Bill Clinton.
