Being a good friend means standing on your own sometimes. It means telling a friend when they are wrong/right but hurtful. A good friend knows how to distance themselves from certain actions without burning a bridge. Obama never threw Wright under the bus. I respect him for that. Obama taught me how to maintain my honor, correct a friend ( for being hurtful ) and leave his relationship in tact.
Rev. Wright seems to treat his friends in the same way the Clintons do, with a throw them under the bus attitude. The Clintons do this constantly and Wright, from the same generation I might add, seems to have the same attitude. I am saddened by their actions because it comes from pure selfishness. There is a truth to what Wright says about the country, but to belittle what Obama stands for and why he is running to defended his own actions is completely Clintonesque.
