Back in 2004 I heard about this great speech. My ex-sister-in-law e-mailed an article that ran shortly thereafter and something about the words, that passion, those ideas, hooked me on hope. Back then, I remember discussing with her the idea that this senator would make a good President for a hurting world. Now, it's 2008 and more than ever before, we need a leader who will bring America together and as we hold hands on our soil united in hope, we also reach out to friends across the world, embracing the people of nations near and far, because today, right now, is our time to take on tomorrow and fix it.
So, welcome to my blog. This is WORLD ROLL CALL. For all people of all countries other than America, on these pages I would like to hear your story, your reasons, your vision of the dream. I believe that Barack Obama will unite the world, speak with friend and former foe. Tell us why you believe. Tell us why you hope. What does this President, at this time, mean to you? Why is "now" so important? Whether you are in Mexico, Thailand, China, South Africa, England, France, or Canada--wherever you live--I want to know your thoughts.
Post your response in the comments section. Sign your post with first name and your country. Americans abroad, what's the mood where you are? What do you hear and see? Weigh in, this is for you, too. I will compile all comments and when enough people have raised their hands in the WORLD ROLL CALL, I will share the musings, commonalities, thoughts, and hope with the mainstream blogs as well as our Obama family.
We are one. Peace to all.
