Was the most serious financial crisis in the history of the world due to the intense greed and ambition for global dominance of Wall Street firms, banks and insurance companies that had violated the sacred trust of millions of small investors - and had dragged the stock market to its lowest moral and spiritual depths by making it the world's biggest gambling casino - which played with the lives of 300 million Americans and 7 billion people on planet Earth ?
Was it because of a vast network of brokerage firms that used sex, legal manipulation and forged documents to sell loans for buying expensive homes for themselves - but in the process threw thousands of innocent families including women and children on the streets ?
Was it because America had forgotten that a great nation with a rich history of leaders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln could truly grow and prosper only if it created real jobs, industries and wealth on the moral foundation of truth and honest labour - and not by selling paper money in numerous forms to get loans and debts from the rest of the world and causing them intense physical, emotional and psychological suffering for many months and years.
Was it because a group of powerful world leaders had spent $1100 billion on defence budgets (with America alone spending about $623 billion on military expenditure) whereas the same amount of money could have created millions of healthy, smiling children worldwide - that were dreaming of creating a beautiful new Earth but were now being crushed with the heavy burden of debts of trillions of dollars which would take years to repay if they wished to live a life of human dignity and self-respect.
Had our world leaders and governments forgotten that they also had grandparents, mothers, fathers, wives and children in their homes and who also would suffer in the crisis. And the children felt very angry, hurt and helpless when they asked the burning question :
Why was it that mankind could not understand a simple truth - that if every country's leader made an honourable commitment in the United Nations assembly swearing in God's presence by touching the holy Bible, Koran, Bhagvad Geeta, Dhammapada and other sacred books that it would not to go to war and if any country did violate the sacred promise it would face severe economic sanctions including: banning food supplies from other countries, negative worldwide media coverage, immediate suspension of international banking and business dealings and international political pressure that would result in its complete alienation from the rest of the world leading to starvation - then there would not be any space on planet Earth for stockpiling guns, missiles, ships, bombs, warplanes and nuclear weapons nor the need for hiring millions of men and paying them money for killing fellow human beings in other countries - including women and children.
The small children understood very clearly that every time a nation fired a deadly missile, thousands of children were deprived of an opportunity to go to school. Every time, a nation built a warship or an expensive fighter aircraft thousands of children were deprived of food and went to sleep on an hungry stomach with tears in their eyes.
Every time, a bullet or a bomb killed men in a battle it created thousands of widows and orphans that could become criminals or destitutes on the streets. Every time, a country had gone to war it had destroyed years of hard labour, economic progress, precious human energy and intelligence required for building a nation's economy to provide its citizens basic needs like food, a decent home, education, social security to the sick, unemployed and retired and medical health care for every family ?
But suddenly, all the children witnessed an amazing miracle --------
A soft, beautiful light emerged form the dark night and spoke softly and gently: "Sweet children, do not despair and lose hope. There is still time for an inner spiritual transformation in the minds, hearts and souls of the leaders of nations of planet Earth. For they also were innocent children like you many years ago. They also felt the warmth of human love when their mothers kissed and warmly hugged them. They also felt safe and secure when their fathers embraced them with their strong hands. They also felt an inner peace and the divine presence of God when they sat and knelt down in prayer asking for help and guidance.
For every crisis is a blessing in disguise. In the seed of every dark night is a fragrant flower that will bloom in the early morning. Every collapse of a decaying system offers the opportunity to build the foundation for a new system based on respect, compassion and love for the entire humanity." So when the long, dark night ended and the rays of the early morning begin to appear on the distant horizon they saw that the sun was slowly emerging and shining brightly - and bringing with it the precious gift of a new future for creating a new Planet Earth!
