After Herr Hank Paulson made his noble plan to 'save' us nimrod Americans from ourselves the other day by asking to consolidate even more power in the federal reserve banking system than it already possesses, Big Ben Bernanke got the shell game spinning again on Thursday.
Here is a link to the story:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23941445/
Even though Herr Hank wants to give Big Ben more control over regulation of the housing market, the best remark Big Ben can give regarding a fix for the problems in the housing market was,
""That's the Congress' sphere of influence, not the Fed's," Bernanke answered repeated questioning."
If Big Ben wants to hedge his bets and put the onus on Congress then why does the FOMC deserve greater control of the economy and housing regulation than it already has got?
Does Big Ben honestly expect all of the serfs in his banking fiefdom to believe that the Fed could not have put the brakes on a runaway housing market that took three years to get out of hand, especially considering how he and his cronies swooped in with $30 Bil over the course of two days to finance the JP Morgan/Bear Sterns shenanigans three weeks ago?
Is anyone else insulted by this? Is anyone else ready to pull back the curtain and see the Wizard of Oz is merely Big Ben sitting on Herr Hank's shoulders? Are we all just going to stand by idly while the Federal Reserve Bank keeps shuffling shells and further corrupts our economy?
The current system is corrupt. The Fed's system for fixing it is an absurdity. The entire shell game is designed not to fix the subprime problem; it is designed to keep people from learning about the Credit Default Swap market that really created this whole mess.
When is enough going to be enough, folks?

Bernanke is a scholar on the Great Depression and much like Obama he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth either. Pleas take a look at the my blog

I have highlighted the similarity in Bernake's and Obama's approach on controlling redit card industry fraud and stealth billing tactics. Bernanke is doing the right thing by placing his bets on both -
1. The fed getting some extra powers and also
2. hoping congress does so as well - it does not really matter who comes first
Ther's is a detailed profile of him in my other blog at yourmoneyourworld.blogspot.com . You be the judge
Peace be with you.
Bernanke's now increasing penchant for theory |

GOPCrashers...to follow up on my last comment to you. Yes Bernanke does seem to loose sight of the goal every once in a while and starts talking theory and ignores/does not adress reality
See this post where he is talking philosohpy while one of his minions at the San Fran Fed is talking hard facts and painting a gloomy picture.
