Barack Obama in Flint, Michigan

Barack Obama will be in Flint on Monday June 16.

The Rally is free but you must get a ticket because space is limited.

Tickets are available at the following location:

Good Beans Cafe in Flint's Carriage Town at 328 North Grand Travers Street Downtown.

The Rally is as Kettering University's recreation center.

Doors open at 10:00 am

The program starts at 11:15 am

Tickets are being given away on a first come first serve basis.

This will be Barack Obama's first visit to Michigan.

He is expected to talk about Michigans failing economy and his economic plan.

Barack Obama has mentioned Michigan previously while talking about alternative fuel productions.

Kettering University has stepped up its research into alternative fuel resources.

Correcting Misconceptions About Barack Obama

Barack Obama Jr.

His name at birth was Barack Hussein Obama Jr. (not Barry Soetoro)

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 to an American white mother and a Kenyan black father.

Mother: Stanley Ann Dunham. Named Stanley because she was the only child of her parents. Her father had wanted a son so the daughter was named Stanley. She was never called Stanley, but called Ann. Ann Dunham was born in Wichita, Kansas and is of Irish Descent. As an adult Ann declared herself an atheist but lived her life more like an agnostic. Teaching her children there are various opinions on religion and providing her children with all the great books of various religions, i.e.; the Bible, the Qur’an, the Terjemahan Baru, etc…so they could examine and choose for themselves.

Ann Dunham’s parents: Madelyn Lee Payne and Stanley Armour Dunham. Both were raised in Kansas. Stanley worked on oil rigs during the Depression. Stanley was an Army Sergeant in WWII. During that time Madelyn went to work on a bomber assembly line, and after the war, they studied on the G.I. Bill, bought a house through the Federal Housing Program, and moved west to Hawaii. Stanley then became a furniture salesman. Madelyn worked in a bank. where Madelyn became Vice President at The Bank of Hawaii.

Father: Barack Hessein Obama Sr., was born and raised in a small village in Kenya, where he grew up herding goats with his own father, who was a domestic servant to the British.Barack Obama Sr.’s parents:

Onyango Obama was born and raised as a Christian in Africa, converted from Christianity to Islam as an adult then added Hussein to his name. Onyango Obama was married three times. His second wife, Akuma mothered Barack Hussein Obama Sr. Akuma later left Onyango and their children and obtained a divorce. Onyango then married 16-year-old Sarah and together they raised his children and their children together. Despite living in a small rural village in Kenya, Sarah Obama is well aware of Senator Obama's fame in the United States, and has photographs of his successes on her walls. She recently publicly complained about false reports that Senator Obama is a Muslim. She says that he is a Christian, just as she is.

Ann and Barack Sr.:

Ann met and married Barack Obama Sr. while they both attended Hawaii University. He had been chosen to participate in the Kennedy (that would be John F. Kennedy) program that brought young blacks with remarkable academic achievements from Africa to the United States to study. Barack Obama Sr. never studied Muslim and considered himself an atheist.

Barack Obama Sr. left the family in 1963 when Barack was 2 years old to attend Harvard University where he obtained a Masters Degree in Economics. Barack Sr. went back to Kenya after obtaining his Masters. Barack Sr. never had contact with his son until he was in the fifth grade and he went to visit him in Hawaii once. That was the last time Barack Jr. ever saw his father. Barack Obama Sr. died in a car accident in 1982.

Ann and Lolo:

When Barack Jr. was five years old, Ann Dunham Obama remarried a man named Lolo Soetoro who was an Indonesian oil Manager whom she met on the campus of Hawaii University. Ann and Lolo along with Barack Jr. moved to Indonesia in 1967. Ann enriched her son’s education with correspondence courses in English. Ann and Lolo had a daughter in 1970. In 1974 Ann returned to Hawaii and went to Graduate School to obtain her PhD in Anthropology while raising her two children.

Madelyn and Stanley Dunham: When Barack was 10 years old he asked if he could return to the States to finish out his schooling. In 1971 Barack Jr. was sent to Hawaii to live with his mother’s parents in their Honolulu high-rise apartment. He attended the prestigious Punahou School.

Barack Obama Jr. as an adult:

Barack Jr. was nicknamed Barry by his family and called that until he chose to sound more formal when he moved to Chicago and ran for the Senate and started using his given name.

Barack Obama Jr. attended Occidental College, Columbia University, and Harvard Law School. He is an Attorney by profession.

After graduating from Harvard, he worked as a community organizer, became a Law School Professor, was elected as the president of The Harvard Law Review, and also worked as a lawyer from 1997-2004. He then became a United States Senator winning the seat by getting 70% of the votes in that race.

He cosponsored legislation to control what is called ‘controlled weapons’. Controlled weapons are Explosive weapons, blinding laser weapons, and incendiary weapons such as; flame throwers, fougasses (land mines), shells, rockets, grenades, mines, bombs and other containers of incendiary substances i.e.; chemicals. In the current 110th Congress, he has sponsored legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. Since announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama has emphasized ending the war in Iraq, increasing energy independence, decreasing the influence of lobbyists, and providing universal health care as top national priorities. He has taken ZERO campaign funds from lobbyists and ZERO funds from big busineses like Pharmasudicals and Insurance Companies.
