I really like what Jay from Florida has just posted about writing to our local news sources asking for responsible journalism. #1) Write letters to editors.

Some of the comments I have been reading on several sites are scaring/depressing! Fear, fear and more fear! I honestly think the fear is being perpetuated by the media, they have us hooked in.

Let's keep our eye on the ball. We can all play a part in this, and just think of how many people are making this possible. I am the first person to admit that I have been glued to my computer, and instead of doing something productive like working a phone bank or writing letters, I am mostly reading the constant feed of commentary/news.

You may have noticed there are two San Carlos groups. The other group, San Carlos for Barack, lost its administrator. The new San Carlos for Obama group was created to replace the old group and provide us an active local group.

Hot Harvest Nights Tabling for Obama

Join us for Obama tabling and voter registration at the Hot Harvest Nights farmers' market in San Carlos on Thursday. We need a minimum of two people to staff the table, but more is better! Come by for just 1 hour or all 3 hours. We'll be in the park with the band. Help spread the word about Obama while enjoying some live music and stocking up on fresh produce.

Tabling at San Carlos Hometown Days, May 19-20

Dave McClure has secured a spot for us to setup a table and register voters at the San Carlos Hometown Days in Burton Park on Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th. There will be music, a parade, arts and crafts, food, and hot-air balloon rides.
