Please note:

1- Christians and Jews are considered to be people of the book by Moslems as well as the holy Quran and NOT non-believers.

2- There are Al-Qaeda terrorist extremist who consider more than a hundred Million Shia Moslems NOT true believers and believe they should all be killed. But thank GOD those guys are less than 3% of Moslem population of the World. We have radical Christians who think the same about Moslems and there percentage is higher than those radical Moslems. Most likely these types of e-mails are initiated by such radical people. A True Moslem is a Christian and a Jew as well.

3- There is no such thing as a "Prison Ministry" in US, there is Department of Corrections etc. but no Prison Ministry what so ever?? So this story is most likely fabricated.

4- In Islam even non believers are respected and not killed and Prophet Mohammad did just that when he conquered Mecca. He told his followers to respect the home all enemies even atheist... And Christians and Jews are people of book and the holy Quran has many stories about Saint Virgin Mary, Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus as well as the full story of Ten Commandments.

5- People who spread these types of hatred rumors are at best misled and at worst divisive war mongers and certainly not human beings, regardless of their religion. They could call them selves Christians, Jews or Moslems but they are nothing more than the devil's advocate towards war and destruction. And I am trying to be a GOOD Shia Moslem who is also a Jew a Christian and according to teachings of the holy Quran that is the way a true Moslem should be.

Pre-election, Election & Post-election Events in Iran

1)Pre-election Events; Hundreds of candidates most without any political or management experience, aging from 15 to … submitted their application forms to the Guardian Council in order to be a Presidential candidate in Iran. All applicants were vetted by an authority called the Guardian Council and four experienced politicians were approved. All four were former and present politicians of the Islamic Republic of Iran; 1-Mr. Ahmadinejad who is has been the President of Iran for the past 4 years, 2-Mr. Mousavi, who was the Prime Minister during the same period when the Present Supreme Leader was the President of Iran, 3-Mr. Karoubi who had been the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament for two terms and 4-Mr. Rezai who is the Secretary at the Expediency Council and a former head of the Iranian National Guards. Now if the Iranian System of Governance did not want any of them, then they could have easily rejected their application. But they wanted to have all of these candidates so they approved all of them. Now one could say, they wanted them to have a high voter turnout, but they do not want liberal views of Mr. Mousavi now?! My reply to that comment would be: “Then why did they allow Mr. Khatami who has exact same views as Mr. Mousavi to be the President of Iran for 8 years?” As a matter of fact former President Khatami was also a candidate

Those people should know the Leader is reconfirmed/reelected every single year by an elected body called the Leadership Experts Parliament or Majlis Kheberegaan Rahbari. Members of this Experts Parliament or Majlis are elected by the Iranian people. As a matter of fact during the last presidential elections just like all other presidential and parliamentary election; there were ballot boxes for Experts’ Majlis candidates to be elected by the people of Iran. Just like many countries, those elected experts, every year either reconfirm the Leader or if for any reason the present Leader could NOT be reelected, then they would elect a new leader.

To date the ONLY person who had said the bombing in an Iranian Mosque was INDIRECTLY the work of US and Israel is a substitute/temporary leader of one of Tehran’s Friday prayers and he is NOT a high ranking Iranian government official!

As of today neither the Leader of Iran nor its President, nor any other Iranian government official have blamed the bombing in a Mosque located at Zahidan, Iran on US or Israel. The only person who had expressed that opinion is a substitute or temporary leader of one of Tehran’s Friday prayers. It is a free country and a person is entitled to his opinion but that should NOT be called an official governmental statement. So the report by Agence France Press (AFP) is EXAGGERATED.

However, that is quite different from the US State Department intestinally and wrongfully calling another country “The number one sponsor of terrorism” and making sure to ignore the real threat which is the Al-Qaeda and those regional allies who support them!

There are many versus in Quran about Jesus and the fact that he was born from Saint Virgin Mary. There also many versus about Prophet Moses & the TEN COMMANDMENTS, In Quran there is also lots of detail about what good thoughts, good words & good deeds should be, these teachings are also the basics of an the ancient religion of Iranians ( Zoroastrian) as well as all the above mentioned religions. So if one wants to be a really good Moslem, then she/he should also be a Good Jew, a Good Christian and a Good Zoroastrian. Certainly an extremist religious fanatic can neither be a good Moslem nor a good Christian nor a Good Jew, nor a Good Zoroastrian. So Al-Qaeda, Neo Nazis & ..., as well as their followers/ sympathizers are NOT RELIGEOUS AT ALL. Since the Zoroastrian religion came first, then it is an ancient religion dealing with basics or an equivalent of what we call a high school Diploma. According to Quran Prophets: 1-Noah, 2-Abraham, 3-Moses, 4-Jesus & 5-Mohammad (Peace be upon all of them) were all sent by GOD. Since there are extensive writings about the teachings of Prophets Noah & Abraham in Torah, Bible & Quran, then after Zoroastrianism every Moslem should know about true Judaism which is equal to a Bachelor’s Degree. Afterwards Moslems should be Familiar with the real teachings of Christianity which is like a Master’s Degree and then they should know about real Islam which is like a Doctorate Degree. I look forward to the day that true believers in all these Godly religions unite and respect/love each other. Hopefully that day will come sooner than later, but we all should work hard to bring about such a peaceful era. I am counting on all true believers of all faiths. There is Persian Poem that says: “All human beings are members of the same team, if one member is in pain, then others should also scream.” If people don’t sympathize with others who are in pain, then they lack self esteem!

US Iran Grievance Meter for the past 60 years

Since President Obama was not even born 60 years ago, then nobody could blame him for what had happened then! One can NOT even blame the President for what happened during the previous administration. President Obama is a HOPE Leader who believes in real CHANGE, if some politicians at the State Department would not undermine his positive efforts, and then he could succeed. What Iranians are saying is: “Let’s wipe the slate clean AND start from scratch.” BUT State Department statements and acts won’t let that happen. For argument sake let’s say that Iran had a Voice of Iran/English that broadcasted every day to some disgruntled American Indians and told them how their rights are NOT being recognized in the US. How they should own all of the US territory and yet they have nothing! And then the Iranian government told the US that this country can NOT enrich uranium for the US nuclear power plants and placed several severe international sanctions against the US and threaten more sanctions?! Then lets assume the Iranian government’s Foreign Ministry recently published a report calling the US No. 1 State Sponsor of Terrorism while the President of Iran had sent greetings and positive messages to the US at the same time as all of the above was happening. AND then Iranians would call this “the carrot and stick policy” treating the Americans like rabbits but Iran insisted that they still wanted to have dialogue, but only when Americans had become good rabbits and NOT bad ones like Bugs Bunny’s cousins! Then Iranians would also ask Americans to help them in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq while all those sanctions and threatening language continued. Unfortunately the opposite is true and that is exactly what the US is doing to Iran…And that is not the way to bring about a Change as well as improve relations! Now lets look at the Grievance Meter of the past 60 years not to blame any body and just to get a historical perspective. For argument sake for every 100 people harmed by the actions of the other side we will allocate a grievance factor of 1 for the country that was harmed.

Total Iranian Grievances against US = 78,302.54G, Total US Grievances against Iran = 3.53G *According to this table, the magnitude of suffering by Iranians compare to that of Americans is about 22,000 to 1 based on the ratio of 78,302.54/3.53. WHAT A DISPROPORTIONATE RESPONSE!

Note: In this table I have treated all life as very precious and equal, so any loss of life is very sad, I have also treated all loss of life or harm done to citizens of each country as an equal cause for grievance. However there is a large difference between the magnitudes of loss suffered by Iranians versus that suffered by Americans. According to human rights declarations and the Geneva Convention on the conduct of warfare, there is also a BIG Difference between killing civilians and soldiers, as well as use of weapons of mass destructions by the Western Supported Sadam Gang. Those who kill civilians where there are no military targets are called terrorists. However I don’t want to start calling names! All I want is mutual respect by all sides, dialogue as well as justice for all and Peace on Earth. Let bygones be bygones, as Mr. Nelson Mandela said: “We can not forget but we can forgive.”

Mr. Rasmussen infuriated many Muslims by speaking out in favor cartoonist who insulted Prophet Mohammad and the Moslem world in the name of freedom of speech? Not only Islam but no one has the right to insult other people’s religious beliefs whether they are: Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, or have other beliefs. Freedom of Speech does NOT mean one has the right to publish insulting cartoons of a Prophet.

Free & Fair Trade Resolution at G20

Free and fair trade is very good for the world economy. One sided trade and investment of those unfair trade surpluses in the west has resulted in the present financial melt down. So WTO could also monitor fair trade as well as free trade. There is also a private enterprise project to make sure international trade is free and fair. This project could be launched very soon and will be discussed in more details. Once implemented the free and fair trade project would bring ADDITIONAL TAX income for countries which engage in that type of international trade.

Let us NOT exploit the situation of special needs people for political purposes; even if one of them is one’s own child!

Taliban’s Way of thinking is similar to the Pre-Islamic or the Jahiliyah (Ignorance) Era on the Arabian Peninsula

Why pre-Islamic? Because Islam does not say women can NOT go to school? That was they way of thinking during the pre-Islamic era of Jahiliyah (Ignorance) on the Arabian Peninsula, where there was no respect for women at all. Why the Arabian Peninsula only? Because Iran, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon… had a rich culture of respect for ladies and powerful queens even before Islam and with the expansion of Islam their rich culture got even richer. In today’s Islamic Republic of Iran about 60% of university students are girls. There are many ladies in the Iranian Parliament or Majlis. There are even ladies with ministerial level positions in the government. Today there are a larger percentage of female MDs, lawyers and engineers in Iran than they were at the time of the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. In the past, Pakistan and Turkey had female Prime Ministers. In Bangladesh, they have had past and present lady prime ministers.

Creating Jobs and the US Stimulus Plan

Some Republican politicians have raised the question of how this stimulus plan would create jobs. But of course this Stimulus Plan should create lots of jobs in modern transportation, construction, environment, IT, solar, wind, thermal and electrical energy, etc. One way of assuring success in the above mentioned fields would be the T.I.T. after T.A.T. method.

T.A.T. is the Technical Aptitude Test and T.I.T. is Training and Investment in Technology/Entrepreneurship which comes after TAT:

1- Technical Aptitude Test (TAT)
All those who have lost their jobs in the past 36 months and are still unemployed should take this Test. First they would mention what field(s) they like to be tested on. Then they will take the test in those fields so that they could be become practical technicians/Entrepreneur in that field who could hire other people as well. If they score 100/100, then they will get a $1000 Test bonus and will be registered to start the technical/entrepreneurial expertise to succeed in that specific field. If they get 95/100, then they will get $950 and so on down to 60 where they get $600. any lower than 60/100 and they fail so they would have to be given a study manual and participate in the next round of TATs or participate in another field. In order to prevent people taking too many unnecessary tests, we could give them the first TAT free and then charge an admission fee of $5-10 Dollars for each TAT and the same for each technical/ entrepreneurial manual. 80% of questions of each TAT could be basic technical questions in that field and 20% will be about basic and every day managerial skills such as Human resources management, accounting, taxes, insurance, pricing, etc.

2- Training and Investment in Technology/Entrepreneurship (TIT)

Training - each person will be trained in the field he/she has scored well. The training will also emphasize technical aspects as well as basic and useful every day managerial skills for a very small business enterprise such as Human Resources management, accounting, taxes, insurance, pricing, etc. During a 6 month full time training period, trainees will also be paid salary based on their grades, i.e. 100/100 will get a salary of $2500 per month and 60/100 will get 1500 per month. Those who get less than 60 in monthly exams won't get paid. Those trainees who score 85 and higher, will act as assistant trainers and would help others with their studies.

Investment in Technology/Entrepreneurship - Each person who passes the training with the grade of 60 OR HIGHER will get a graduation certificate saying that such a person is a Technician in that field…And if she/he applies, then WILL GET An Entrepreneurial loan equal to 300 times his/hers graduation grade. So for 100/100 that person gets $30,000 government backed loan and the 60/100 graduate will get $18,000 to start a new business in that field. So the average amount of loan given out will be $24.000.

The average salaries paid over a 6 month period is $12,000. so we have $12,000+$24,000=$36.000 cost per each trainee/entrepreneur. Now that trainee/entrepreneur will have 10 years after the start of his business to pay back this loan. If she/he hires 20 other people or more for at least 1 year each then she/he only has to pay back only 10% of his loan amount, if the trainee/entrepreneur hires 19 people then he has to pay back 15% and 15 people=pay back of only 35% and so on… The loan that seems to be lost, the government makes up in income taxes and less unemployment benefits paid.

So for one million trainee/entrepreneurs this program will cost $36 Billion and we add another 36 Billion for administrative costs, etc. This 36 billion could also create 100,000 jobs in the field of TAT and training… On the average each one of those one million trainee/entrepreneurs could hire at least 4 others, so we have spent $72 Billion Dollars to create at least 5 Million technical jobs. If those one million trainee/entrepreneurs only partially succeed and hire less people, then we need to redesign the test as well as the training system… And we will eventually fully succeed.

Persuaded My Republican Parents & Grandfather to Vote for Obama

I want to share my story with the BarackObama.com members. For the last 20 months since the Primaries started, I had been trying to persuade my Republican Parents and Grandfather to vote for Barack Obama. It was not easy. They have been Republicans for many years. They always voted Republican. However, I never gave up. I kept on mailing them Barack Obama's biography. I spoke to them about Obama's plans in detail. It was tough. They were skeptical at first. They have been receiving magazines, mailers, calls, even false rumors told by the Republican Party about Barack Obama. I had to explained to them what the Obama Campain stood for. I was at one point going to give up. My brother and sister-in-law voted for McCain last week. I was disappointed. My brother lost his apartment and his job, and it's homeless. I just could not understand why he decided to vote for McCain. The reason why he is in this situation, is because of the Republicans. I tried to persuade him, but as a Airmen he could not find himself voting for Obama. But, my mother called me last Friday, and told me that she had taken the time to read all the literature that I mailed to her. She did research herself, started to listen to Obama's message of Hope and Change. She was inspired. She gave Barack Obama a chance, and realized that the Democratic Party is the one that was going to better her financial situation. I am happy to report that my mother, and grandfather not only voted for Barack Obama. My mother and grandfather switch parties and are now Democrats. I could not believe what was happening. It was a miracle. Also, my father voted for Obama too. However, he remains a Republican. I am just excited to have been able to bring three votes for Obama. I hope that if there is someone out there that is trying to do the same thing. It is not too late. Election Day is Nov. 4th. Keep on taking to people and spread the word. We can win on Tuesday! Yes We Can!

Obama potential capacity for humane globalization

Unlike McCain, Obama has the potential and capacity to bring about the kind of humane globalization that could see the USA leading the committee of nations in dealing with issues that affect humanity for the common good of mankind.

The past eight years clearly epitomizes the campaign and articulations that are unilateral and purely based on militarism rather than diplomacy and multi-lateralism and the entire world was not happy about that kind of leadership model coming from the greatest nation on earth.

In light of the recent inclinations and opinions coming even from the United Nations, it is almost clear that the world is likely to welcome an Obama presidency than any other person.

By and large, America will be better off with Obama than McCain, since the later is almost synonymous to President George Bush's policies that have isolated the country from both allies and foes and painted the United States of America as a hypocritical state that say one thing and go ahead to do exactly the opposite as manifested in its policy and articulation in Iraq and the handling of domestic issues such as the Katrina hurricane, healthcare for middle class family and the treatment of prisoners that undermine the essentiality of fundamental human right.

More than half were decided by less than a 2% margin.

In 2004,    57,787 votes would have given us President Kerry.

He ran a computer program to answer this question: "What is the smallest number of total votes that need to be switched from one candidate to another, and from which states, to affect the outcome of the election?"

It was not for no reason that the world greeted the nomination of Sen. Obama as the presidential flag bearer of the Democratic Party in the United States of America and welcomes his overseas trip with conspicuous excitement and fanfare. Surprisingly the level of excitement, anticipation, hopes and dreams that have emanated from every corner of the world since his nomination is better imagined than described as evident by the many turn outs and especially the rally in Berlin Germany.

Obama pragmatically epitomizes the new face of America, that which will forge ahead in a humane, aggressively and thoroughly diplomatic and articulate manners that will help restore the image of the country while at the same time repairing the unfortunate and inimical relations that the country has with many other nations which is by far the worst ever since the inception of the modern USA.

The high level of acceptability and appeal that the inspirational and God gifted Obama has garnered world wide let alone at home is a classical examples of the anticipated potentials that he will usher into the political landscape and therefore win over nations to join the USA in the fight against terrorism, poverty and man inhumanity to man.

If you really had studied and understood the Bible then you should have learnt the lessons of "the David and the Goliath Story" where Goliath with all his bragging, armor and strength lost the battle to the less strong David. With the reality of today's world and after 8 years of Republican tough talk and "Gunboat Diplomacy", unfortunately the US with all its military might is perceived to be the Goliath and those little third world countries confronting it as David. Now if the US wins a conflict that is no big deal because every body expects the Goliath to win, and if US loses as happened in the Biblical Story then those smaller countries (David) have really done a big deal. Now when Obama is elected as the US President, then the US will have the best of both worlds and that is its military might which similar to Goliath and a tough logical President who will engage in dialogue first while keeping all other options on the table. That type of positive, decisive and firm LEADERSHIP attitude will take the propaganda tool away from US adversaries. Those adversaries will either become US allies/friends or would be branded as bandits by the people of the world. However McCain/Palin's bragging attitude and gunboat diplomacy will fuel the propaganda tool of US adversaries just asit did during the past 8 years i.e. oil rich Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Nicaragua, Cuba, etc. etc.. Then those adversaries will become more hostile to US, and allies like Russia, China and the European Union either will become more distant towards US policies or will turn to adversaries. That is the future you (McCain/Palin) are envisioning for this great country and Americans? This country does not need your type of visionaries!

For your information Mrs. Palin the world is a large community and needs a lot of organizing which due to above comments, you really have failed to comprehend. Even President Bush Senior talked of "a new world order" and to have order the US needs to retake the leadership role it has lost in the past 8 years to ORGANIZE THE WORLD. As the gunboat diplomacy policies of the past 8 years have proven, military might alone is NOT sufficient! To do this important task the US needs a popular world leader who is also well respected throughout the World and OBAMA is exactly that type of a LEADER. By the way Mrs. Palin, in case you didn't know, in order to be a successful world community leader one needs to be an Organizer first and foremost and the OBAMA/BIDEN team is quite capable of that and you and Mr. McCain aren't!

4-Palin has been an aggressive advocate for drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, while McCain opposes drilling there. That difference was not touched on in the speech.

P.S. Again Mr. McCain wants to have his cake and eat it too. Which one is it, Mr. McCain?

a) If you are pro drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge then please be honest and admit it!

b) If you Mr. McCain are against drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge then why did you choose a vice-presidential candidate who is 100% PRO DRILLING and has no concern whatsoever for the environmental disaster it would bring about? Just to get a few more ultraconservative votes!?

Jesus believed in community services and political power to serve the communities and NOT just for the sake of Power. Let us say that some one's x-organization had sinned more than forty years ago and he had no part of it then but had repented any ways, the law considers that person GUILT FREE NOW, Is he still guilty?

1-Some one's x-organization had sinned more than forty years ago;

2-That same person had no part of it but had repented any ways for the sins of others;

3-That same person is a predominant university professor and is doing respectable charity work for the past few decades, AND the law considers that person GUILT FREE NOW;

4- Is that person still guilty?

5- Quite a few top level Republicans and Democrats had served on the Board of one of those charities with that person? Are all of those people guilty??

The fair and just answer is to questions 4 & 5 is certainly NOT!

WHY SENATOR OBAMA is a Foreign Policy Expert and Mr. McCain in NOT?

Because successful foreign policy is the result of successful foreign relations which Mr. Obama is quite capable of and Mr. McCain is not. In order to prove my point, I would like to ask you to please read the following and be the judge of that yourself:

A-The Iraq War

1) A few months before the 2003 Iraq invasion, Senator OBAMA rightfully predicted an initial military victory for the US forces. Fortunately he was right on that account. He also predicted some unfortunate events which also did occur! SENATOR OBAMA said that he did not oppose all wars but did oppose the Iraq War because it would result in an unnecessary loss of American lives as well strengthening of the Al-Qaeda terrorists in that country. He also had predicted sectarian violence in Iraq and unfortunately he was quite right on all accounts. Mr. McCain fully supported the invasion without considering the consequences of it?!

2) Troop withdrawal from Iraq- Senator Obama had predicted a 16-month withdrawal from that country starting from February 2009 when he would be fully in control of the White House. So adding 16 months to that February 2009 date we would come up with May 2010. Mr. Bush's administration is about to sign a troop withdrawal agreement from all Iraqi cities by June 2010 and the reason they are doing it June is not because of any military significance, they just want to do some thing different than Senator Obama's predictions. This administration is also planning a full military withdrawal from Iraq by the end of 2010 so that is still more or less within senator Obama's withdrawal timetable. However, Mr. McCain in order to out Bush the Bush administration is still talking of 100 more years of WAR in Iraq! Does Mr. McCain know what he is talking about?

3) REAL Victory in Iraq – Mr. McCain is thinking that military victory is the only way to win?! Wrong again Mr. McCain, real victory is wining hearts and minds of people all over the world and not only military victory. Wining hearts and minds of people all over the world is what Senator Obama has been quite capable of and unfortunately Mr. McCain has NOT!

B- Russia-Georgia Conflict

First some Western powers persuaded the Georgian President to attack South Osetia underestimating the Russian response. Then Russia came up with a fierce military response in its own backdoor which diminished the hopes of Georgia joining NATO any time soon. In international relations there is the 'Sphere of Influence Theory' which Mr. McCain might be unaware of! Russia is reemerging as a superpower due to the Republican policies of the seven years. Henceforth, Sphere of Influence Theory states that Russia will not tolerate a busy body like the Georgian President stepping out of his boundaries. They consider former Soviet Republics as part their own Sphere of Influence and WILL NOT TOLERATE GEORGIAN/WESTERN ADVENTURISM IN THAT REGION. Mr. McCain that is lesson 1 of Foreign Relations! Now let us analyze the response of each candidate:

Right after the fierce Russian military response Mr. McCain, without consulting with the Republican Secretary of State Ms. Rice, went off shouting and condemning the Russians. If God forbid he would have been the President at time, that type of unmeasured response should either be backed by a military threat or nuclear confrontation which is in the interest of nobody or the response should have been measured. Mr. McCain thinks that foreign relations are like a Hollywood Western Movie. It is not so Sir! Even Western movies are written in advance and rehearsed and well planned ahead of time… And if a director of a Hollywood movie makes a mistake that would not result in a nuclear confrontation with a country which has thousands of nuclear warheads. Mr. McCain reminds me of that old man with a funny hat and a riffle who kept on shouting and shooting at Bugs Bunny and always missed!

However, Senator Obama first consulted with the present Secretary of State, Ms. Rice and after careful consideration and analysis of the situations surrounding the issue came up with a very tough and well calculated response with the best interest of the US in mind. Isn't this the way a responsible US President should act? Specially when dealing with another superpower which has an immense conventional as well as nuclear arsenal!

C- European Allies of the US

Senator Obama's successful tour of Western Europe and the very popular reception he received in all of those countries shows that Europeans do respect him. People of Europe listen when OBAMA speaks…And Mr. McCain? No comment!

D-Middle East Peace Process and the US Prestige

Senator Obama is well respected by all parties to the Israeli-Arab conflict so they would be open to his peace proposals. …And Mr. McCain? No comment!

F-AfricaSenator OBAMA is very well respected by all Africans so he could very much improve US relations with all African countries…And Mr. McCain? No comment!

G-AsiaSenator OBAMA is very well respected by most Asians so he could very much improve US relations with all Asian countries and isolate US foes in the region…And Mr. McCain? No comment!

High Oil Prices & Obama versus McCain Policies; Renewable Energies and Demand Control versus Offshore Drilling Only

Like it or not China and India have more than 1/3 of the World's population and will be future middle class consumers. These people will also have lots and lots of cars and factories, so the international demand for energy is increasing and therefore we have high oil prices as a fact now as well as in the future. According to the US Department of Energy "Offshore drilling could bear result in 10 years"...And this is the only solution The McCain Camp has thought of. Congratulations, good thinking McCain advisors, but too little too late! At least it is a bit of strategy change from constant whining and complaining of the past. You guys get a C for crying out loud and trying to find a mediocre solution. However, this election-year-environmentally-harmful-half way solution is not the real answer to this country's energy needs.

The real solution is Senator Obama's Compromise Package which consists of renewable energies such as wind, solar, electric, tide as well as demand control and traffic reduction measures and a bit of offshore drilling to make some people happy!

A software package in the field of TRAFFIC REDUCTION has already been designed. This package could easily be finalized, customized and implemented with the help of City, County and State governments as well as the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Just get the above mentioned organizations or some other serious people involved in this venture and I will have the final package ready by late October 2008. This package could also be used internationally to control traffic and reduce the demand for oil.

These types of real solutions are what we at the Obama Camp think of and not wish-washy-voter-pleaser-election-year-gimmicks!

Mr. McCain, Senator Obama is 'THE ONE FIT to LEAD' and you are NOT

First they were Rev. Parsley the vegetable and another vegetable called Magee or some thing. These two wrongfully called Reverends and their follower are staunch supporters of Mr. McCain?! It is still a free country they could support any one they like. Or is it? Yes, it is a free country but some people are freer than other others?! They are free to make unprecedented and unfounded racist remarks against Senator Obama which one would be even ashamed to repeat. Could human beings stoop so low? Those supporters of Senator McCain showed us that some people could!

When the above gimmicks did not work, then the McCain camp said Senator Obama was inexperienced and young. And Senator Obama with his well organized campaign which is a true sign of LEADERSHIP proved them wrong.

Afterwards, Mr. McCain and his group of advisers said he lacked international experience. Senator Obama with his very successful trip to Europe and the Middle East proved them wrong again.

Then the McCain camp said Senator Obama was soft on Iraq and lacking machismo. If a future US President who would hold the key to over 9,000 US nuclear warheads is not trigger happy and that person acts logically, then he is called by the McCain camp soft and lacking machismo??!!

Some McCain people also said he was not pro military and did not support the US troops abroad. But Senator Obama's very successful trip to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as meetings with political leaders over and staying overnight which not too many people have dared to do in the past proved those whiners wrong gain. Also the support he received from US soldiers over there proved them wrong again. As a matter of fact they were so shocked by the reception Senator Obama received by troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and the press coverage over there, that a few top Pentagon brass decided to prevent the media from accompanying Senator Obama during his planned visit to wounded soldiers in Germany. And Senator Obama due to his out most respect for the privacy of wounded soldiers had to cancel the visit.

Then they said Senator Obama did not have a comprehensive economic plan. Senator Obama with his group of expert economic advisors including but not limited to former Chairman of the Federal Reserve proved them wrong again.

Now they are hitting him with racist remarks which they started themselves awhile back.

Mr. McCain's people recently made an ad calling Senator Obama 'THE ONE'. Since Mr. McCain is CERTAINLY NOT the one to lead this great country out of her present poor economy and conflict based problems, then surely Senator Obama should be 'THE ONE'. This ad might also appeal to some extremist supporters of Mr. McCain and make them see the light again! But this time, there will be real light at the end of the dark tunnel of present times, and not the little candle of conflict and complains Mr. McCain and his people are holding on to!

Mr. McCain is not internationally popular at all, so he is not fit to lead the US

Is the US a little third world country, where any body can be the president and it doesn't matter if that person is very much disliked internationally?! NO Certainly NOT! Even in the case of little third world countries, their leaders could get a lot more done when they would be popular internationally. Nowadays in world politics, it is quite significant when European leaders are enthusiastic to take pictures with Senator Obama because they respect his leadership qualities and popularity and very well know by doing so, they would increase their own domestic popularity as well. Does it help to have an internationally popular President after 8 years?

IT CERTAINLY DOES HELP A LOT AND IT IS A MUST.

Even with all the Republican Party's shortcomings of the past 8 years, this great country is still the world's number one economy and the only remaining superpower. Not for long if another Republican President is elected!

So an internationally POPULAR US LEADER is really needed to enhance the political as well as the economic power of this country. Senator Obama is the one to successfully do the following, so the US prestige is restored worldwide:

1- Export development which would result in higher employment and a much better economy.

2- Persuade US allies to commit more military resources to some conflict zones so that there would be less US resources needed. Henceforth those same resources could be used to improve the US economy.

3- Attract more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which is another key to sustained US economic development.

4- Make enemies of the US look more and more isolated, henceforth less budget needed to fight them and therefore more money for domestic programs such as Senator Obama's National Healthcare Plan, helping those with bad sub-prime mortgages, creating new jobs, etc.

5- Attract more tourists to this country.

6- Africa with all its resources will look up to this popular US leader and would view this country as its BIG BROTHER.

7- Asia with all its power houses and geopolitically important countries such as Japan, China, India, Korea, ASEAN as well as the Middle Eastern countries, Central Asian Republics (CIS) and Israel will look up to this popular US leader and would view this country as the country they could rely on again.

8- Such a popular and well respected world leader could bring real and durable peace to the Middle East.

9- Russia could also become a US partner again.

10- Less conflict will result in more international trade, where the US as well as her trading partners will prosper. This economic prosperity will also give US's trading partners more buying power, and there will be greater demand for US high tech goods and services.

Mr. McCain, Lesson 1 in international relations and the US economy: Due to above ten (10) reasons, as the result of improved international relations the US economy will GROW A LOT… And we can not have real and improved international relations, exports and trade, if the US would have an internationally unpopular president; Henceforth, we have no choice but to conclude SENATOR OBAMA IS JUST THAT LEADER AND YOU ARE NOT!

The War in Iraq and the US Economy

This country is spending about $10 Billion per month on the war in Iraq. Let us say for argument sake that this money would have been spent to save the mortgages of millions of Americans who are losing their homes. It could also been used to give tax incentives for businesses to hire more people. It could also be saved to pay for the unprecedented national deficit so that our children and their grandchildren wouldn't have to pay for this generation's debts! Part of it could also have been used to pay for Senator Obama's national healthcare plan.

1-Saving Mortgages of Millions of Americans; $10 Billion per month x 12 = $120 Billion per year spent on the war in Iraq. So the US has spent $600 Billion ($120x5=) fighting that war for the past 5 years plus interest which has contributed to the present US budget deficit. We could have used $300 Billion of that expense to prevent such an enormous deficit and another $300 Billion to help 10 million Americans with their mortgage payment. Simply put each person would receive $30,000 relief over a period of five years and that assistance could reduce their payments by $500 per month. In that case we could have avoided the present sub prime crisis which has:

a- Hurt Many home owners;

b- Bankrupt too many banks;

c- Resulted in major home price reductions;

d- Hurt the economy to a point where we are entering a recession!

2-That same $300 Billion could have been used to give tax incentives to innovative and technical businesses which would hire and train underprivileged people. These tax incentives would be as such so that for each underprivileged person hired and trained by an innovative and technical business, they would receive half of their first year's salary as tax credit. So let us say that an average first year salary would be $24,000 and half of that is $12,000. At the end of their first year of training, we would require the trainee to take a test in the field she/he has been trained in. If he/she successfully passes the test in the newly acquired as well as nationally and internationally needed field such as software programming, other IT, bioMed, environment, management, entrepreneurship, etc. etc., then the company which has trained them would get the tax credit for each person who has successfully passed. In this case we could have created:

a- New professions and Jobs for 25 Million Americans;

b- Vocational or crafts and technical training for 25 Million Americans who could be business owners and hire others;

c- 25 million more future tax payers with higher incomes;

d- Export potentials.

e- More home buyers and greater demand for average homes and price stability;

f- It all adds up to a much better economy.

Here is the math, $300,000,000,000 ÷ $12,000 = 25 Million trained professionals.

3. That $300 Billion would have also gone a long way towards Senator Obama's national healthcare plan.

Perhaps a combination of all of the above three choices would have been an ideal outcome. Let us learn from the lessons of the past, henceforth we should plan for the future and not re-elect some one from the past!

Why would Senator Obama approve of more troops in Afghanistan and not in Iraq

1. According to Wikipedia, the number of US troops (personnel on the ground pre-surge level) in Iraq were about 132,000 which was quite sufficient.

2. Based on an Al Jazeera TV English report, The number of US troops on the ground in Afghanistan are about 34,000 or about 1/4 of those in Iraq during the pre-surge period. Even with additional troops the level of ground troops in Afghanistan will reach 40,000 or less than 1/3 of pre-surge personnel on the ground in Iraq.

3. Afghanistan is as important as Iraq, if not more important at this point in time. So why is Mr. McCain still puzlled by the fact that Senator Obama approves of troop increase in Afghanistan and does not so in Iraq. Military lesson 101, one increases troops where they are needed and not just for the sake of it… And they seem to be needed now in Afghanistan. However, the level of ground troops in Afghanistan will still be less than 1/3 of those stationed in Iraq during the pre-surge period.

4. That means if all goes well, then 16 months after an Obama presidency, we could have 126,000 additional troop home next to their loved ones. This is how the math works, 132,000 people leaving Iraq minus 6,000 more troops for Afghanistan which equals 126,000 soldiers home.

Let us do a survey of wounded US soldiers in Germany

Let us do a survey of wounded US soldiers in Germany and find out which choice is preferred by them:

1-Visiting them at their hospital beds;

2-Successfully persuading Europeans to commit more troops to the battle field so that there would be fewer soldiers wounded in the future.

I am quite sure that all courageous and logical US soldiers would choose the later. But it really puzzles me, why Mr. McCain's camp did not reach the same conclusion. Dirty politics and smear campaign as usual perhaps?!

And now the gym issue. Perhaps due to the extensive national and international press coverage of Senator Obama, Mr. McCain and his people expected him to be an angel or a Superman who did not need to rest and take some time off! But please note that Senator Obama has never denied being human and his love of humanity is what has attracted tens of Millions of Americans and foreigners alike. There is some thing else Mr. McCain's camp can be sure of, and that is Mr. Obama is a super leader but he still needs to rest.

Why is Iraq calmer today than it was a year ago?

Is it due to the 'Surge'? Certainly not! The reason Iraq is calmer today is because US soldiers are finally talking to Iraqis. This positive dialogue has brought about a durable cooperation between various groups in the country. Such an internal cooperation has also resulted in the exclusion of Al Qaeda within the Iraqi society. Henceforth, there is more security in that country and the atmosphere is calmer! So the Surge perhaps had little or no effect in the end result, just as the 'Surge' of US troops during the Vietnam War was not effective.

Young Evangelical Christians Uniting Behind Obama

Senator Obama is making confident waves among the evangelical community. Young evangelicals have been particularly receptive to his message, as they are increasingly concerned with issues like poverty, the Iraq War, climate change, genocide in Darfur, human trafficking, and religious freedom at home and abroad.

A recent Pew Forum poll of evangelical voters found McCain's lead among evangelicals smaller than Bush's in 2004, and this has many Republicans strategists worried. U.S. News and World Report recently quoted a “major McCain fundraiser” as saying, “The evangelical movement is changing … It's moving to a bigger place.”

I’m personally excited to announce that young evangelicals will be able to carve out a “bigger place” for themselves in the Obama campaign via a website project that boldly proclaims: “Young. Evangelical. For Obama.”

The site will allow young evangelicals to unite in their support for Obama and his broad moral agenda. In addition to showing their support, the group will engage in community service projects and American Values house parties geared toward youth.

The US with all its military might and superiority was not able to win the war in Vietnam. Why? Because, we were not able to communicate with the Vietnamese! We were not willing to explain our reason for being there. The French had the same problem over there.

Do you want to know why the press covers Senator Obama more than you? Because Senator Obama is able to win the hearts and minds the Americans as well as the people all over the world, and the press thinks of ratings and who ever could get them more audience, viewers and readers that person would be the one they would cover. WASHINGTON (AP) -- Now more than ever, it's the old guy against the agent of change.
Ask people to blurt out their first words about the two presidential candidates and one in five say "change" or "outsider" for Barack Obama and "old" for John McCain, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll released Monday. Those are not only the top responses for each man but the ones used most often since January, when fewer than one in 10 volunteered those descriptions.
Four months from Election Day, the survey underscores that people see quality and question marks in both contenders as they struggle to control their images. Lack of experience is the next most frequently offered view of Obama, 46, the Democrat who came to the Senate from Illinois less than four years ago; for McCain, 71, the Republican senator from Arizona and Vietnam prisoner of war, it's his military service.
"My husband and I are about the same age as McCain, and I don't think we'd be in a position to take this country in the direction it needs to go," said Rosemary Bates, 65, of Barre, Vt., an Obama supporter. "We've grown up in a different era. Something is not working and it needs to be changed."
Obama is seen as warmer and more empathetic, McCain stronger and tougher. When people are asked whether specific words and phrases apply to each man, the Democrat does 12 percentage points better for caring about "people like you" and is 11 points more likable. McCain has a 24-point edge as a military leader and is 9 points more decisive.
The Republican's military service "gives him credibility when it comes to running a war, and to running this country when it's at war," said Lydia Muri, 52, a McCain backer from San Diego. "If you haven't been in that situation, it takes away from your credibility."
The image differences even extend to the issues people most trust them to handle. McCain is seen as more capable on hard-edged problems like Iraq, terrorism and guns, while Obama is preferred on domestic matters like the economy, the environment and education.
The AP-Yahoo! News poll, conducted by Knowledge Networks, has surveyed about 2,000 people since November to gauge how individuals' views are changing during the presidential campaign. The repeated interviews show the candidates' images have evolved gradually since the fall, with both getting higher favorable and unfavorable marks as additional people form opinions.
Yet peer down to the person-by-person level and things are more tumultuous. Just four in 10 Obama supporters have the same opinion of him that they had in November, with slightly more of the remainder turning more negative. McCain's backers are divided about evenly among those with the same, better or worse views of him.
"In November he was a member of a crowd," said Sam Kemp, 50, of San Francisco, who sees Obama more positively now. "There's more information about his views now."
Racial differences are clear. While whites are evenly split over which candidate better understands the problems of ordinary people, they are a bit likelier to say McCain shares their values, and prefer him by 2-to-1 for keeping the country safe. Nine in 10 blacks say Obama would do just fine in each of those areas, with only small fractions saying so about McCain.
The survey suggests Obama faces a bigger problem than McCain from growing negative impressions.
Both are seen favorably by about half of those surveyed, and unfavorably by roughly four in 10. But Obama's image has deteriorated with two crucial groups: 52 percent of whites view him negatively, up 12 points from November. And 48 percent of independents have an unfavorable view of him, up from 31 percent last fall.
"He's a senator just a few years. He doesn't have quite enough experience, especially with foreign policy concerns and even with the economy," said Joel Taylor, 29, a Republican from Chillicothe, Ill., whose view of Obama has dimmed.
Obama has not capitalized on his party's far stronger popularity than the GOP, while McCain is exceeding his party's miserable public perception. Obama is viewed less positively than the Democratic Party by 5 percentage points, while McCain's favorable image is 9 points better than the Republican Party's.
That suggests a lost opportunity so far for Obama, and that McCain has had some success distinguishing himself from a GOP that only four in 10 think of positively.
The poll also shows Obama still has wounds to heal with those who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton, his Democratic rival in this year's bitter primary campaign. The number of Clinton supporters who find Obama likable and strong has not improved since November, and those considering him honest has actually dropped.
McCain has problems lurking, too. Six in 10 think he will follow the policies of the widely disliked President Bush, including more than half of whites, three in 10 Republicans and nearly six in 10 independents. That's a linkage Obama is sure to emphasize in hopes of fraying McCain's support.
"I think it's important we send the rest of the world a message that we're taking ourselves in a new direction away from the Bush administration," said Rachel Ferdaszewski, 26, an independent from Tacoma, Wash., who is leaning toward Obama.
In addition, respondents who are either undecided or say they could change their minds are as likely as everyone else to volunteer "old" when describing McCain _ not the attribute his campaign wants them focused on. So do one in seven independents, a significant number.
And people who in January did not provide a word for McCain now offer "old" far more often than anything else _ hinting that those paying little attention to the campaign six months ago are now struck by McCain's age.
The AP-Yahoo! News poll of 1,759 adults was conducted from June 13-23 and had an overall margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.3 percentage points. Included were interviews with 844 Democrats and 637 Republicans, for whom the margins of sampling error were plus or minus 3.4 points and 3.9 points, respectively.
The poll was conducted over the Internet by Knowledge Networks, which initially contacted people using traditional telephone polling methods and followed with online interviews. People chosen for the study who had no Internet access were given it for free.

I see that today we are about to overcome the crisis caused mostly by Chaos pretenders (trolls). The crisis has begun on June 1 and have gone through different vogues. We have wasted a lot of emotional energy in reacting. I agree with what others said above - we shall overcome the troll attacks.

But I think they will continue, and may even become more massive. So please tell me what you think about this: that we ask our web masters to somehow limit the access to POSTING comments and blog posts. Anyone can read and DONATE on the spot. But in order to post something (even a comment) - one needs to establish a public profile, however tiny, and wait 48 for the first post. Then they can go on doing what they must do. Changing a name on the profile should also require such a 48 hours delay.

80% of the hidden smear posts are by one-or-two-posts people without any HISTORY here on barackobama.com , yet they pose as ex-supporters, who will not donate anymore and all this BS.

I believe in this business idea which says: first do something that requires 10% work and will yield 90% profit. I think it is high time to limit the posting access in this very very MINIMAL way, to avoid the dirty flooding here. I am not very technical, so I am not sure what this would involve, and whether this is easy to achieve. Please give me your feedback on this.

We must focus on positive ideas, not on reporting every Limbough-troll around. I had spend sometimes several hours a day doing this, and now is no more! I have more to do than fighting trolls. I can easily tell someone who is with us really, and I have checked all profiles of suspicious messages. But many new supporters are not aware of this, and the MSMs are using this in their attacks on Baracks's move to the center. The hypocrites! Instead of informing the public that this is what is to be expected of the candidate no ib the General election mode.

So this is my positive mechanical solution, which I think as of now is necessary and cannot wait for more CHAOS, and will hurt no one here. Many other forums (fora) have similar limitations, I do not see any big deal limiting ours as well.
I do not know how to address HQs about this necessity. Please help.

James Dobson driven by his own bias?

Through his radio ministry, James Dobson attempted to undermine Barack Obama's Christianity. I actually find Obama's approach to Biblical topics more in tune with what seminars and many relevant churches present today. What did the original listeners understood from Moses or Jesus versus the dark ages dogmas instilled in us from traditionalist church authorities. Dobson is obviously trying to sway votes through his manipulative drama. I would actually like to listen to him admit that President Bush has lied and deceived.

The site highlights statements from Obama and Dobson and asks visitors to compare them.

Caldwell said he has great respect for Dobson's advocacy for families, but said the criticism of Obama was "a bit over the top" and "crossed the line."

"There has been a call for a higher level of politics and politicking," Caldwell said. "So to attack at this level is inappropriate and I think unacceptable and we at least want to hold everybody accountable."

The dust is settling from the long primary struggle with Senator Clinton. Our presentation of “Faith and Politics” now takes on a new relevance with a real urgency. It is our mission, I believe, to communicate to Republicans our understanding of the social gospel in ways that make sense to them. We have the opportunity to build bridges with these sisters and brothers while attracting the disenfranchised and disillusioned. They have heard the message of exclusion in the name of Jesus for too long. Deep in their hearts The Beatitudes are whispering a message of hope. It is up to us to silence the cymbals of war and let them hear the murmur of peace and unity. Out challenge is as daunting as any non-violent movement in history. A Formula for Real Peace in the Middle East

The US president who is interested in a real and durable peace in the Middle East should be an honest and objective peace (H.O. PE.) broker. An objective peace broker should listen to all sides and find out what each side's concerns are. Leaning heavily to wards one side will alienate others and that does not help with the cause. All sides to the conflict should also be positive and willing to compromise. Why? Because advantages gained by a long lasting and durable peace very much outweigh any wish washy half way gains made through conflict. In all conflicts either side could win a battle or two or gain some grounds but eventually all sides will lose the war, even the winner! How is that possible? During each conflict sadly and unfortunately the following will happen to all sides:1 Loss of precious human life;2-Destruction of property;3-No security at all, only in some cases temporary and false sense of security;4-Constant fear;5-Brain drain;6-Drastic decrease in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI);7-Major and constant spending of precious resources towards an endless arms race! 8-Sadly, there are always long lasting psychological problems for present and future generations, etc.

Such a peace loving president should not provoke others who could be a positive part of the peace process, by false accusations. He should always try to be positive and move in the path of real peace. He should take advantage of all known and a few yet unknown resources available in the Middle East, Europe, UN and Russia as well as seeking the help of Mr. Blair who is the special envoy of the Quartet.

One can not have his cake and eat it too! Both sides should be willing to give, because real peace is real prosperity. Real and durable peace will reverse above mentioned eight (8) negative effects of the conflict and trillions of Dollars of foreign direct investments (FDI) will pour in to the Region. Real peace also brings friendship, happiness to the people and will result in real security for the region.

Leaving The Church

Barack and Michelle Obama made the difficult decision to resign from Trinity United Church of Christ on Saturday. His twenty year membership was spiritually defining and helped him to live out the social gospel of Jesus by helping the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked. The work of the church made a true member of his community. He wrote eloquently about the subject in Sojourners Magazine in November, 2006. I have included part of the text In this below:“Each day, it seems, thousands of Americans are going about their daily rounds—dropping off the kids at school, driving to the office, shopping at the mall, trying to stay on their diets—and they’re coming to the realization that something is missing. They are deciding that their work, their possessions, their diversions, their sheer busyness, is not enough. They want a sense of purpose, a narrative arc to their lives. They’re looking to relieve a chronic loneliness, so they need an assurance that somebody out there cares about them, that they are not just destined to travel down that long highway toward nothingness.I SPEAK WITH SOME experience on this matter. It wasn’t until after college, when I went to Chicago to work as a community organizer for a group of Christian churches, that I confronted my own spiritual dilemma. I was working with churches, and the Christians who I worked with recognized themselves in me. They saw that I knew their Book and that I shared their values and sang their songs. But they sensed that a part of me remained removed, detached, that I was an observer in their midst. In time, I came to realize that something was missing as well—that without a vessel for my beliefs, without a commitment to a particular community of faith, at some level I would always remain apart and alone.As the months passed in Chicago, I found myself drawn not just to work with the church, but to be in the church. For one thing, I believed and still believe in the power of the African-American religious tradition to spur social change. Because of its past, the black church understands in an intimate way the biblical call to feed the hungry and clothe the naked and challenge powers and principalities. In its historical struggles for freedom and human rights, I was able to see faith as more than just a comfort to the weary or a hedge against death, but rather as an active, palpable agent in the world, as a source of hope.Perhaps it was out of this intimate knowledge of hardship—the grounding of faith in struggle—that the church offered me a second insight. You need to come to church in the first place precisely because you are first of this world, not apart from it. You need to embrace Christ precisely because you have sins to wash away—because you are human and need an ally in this difficult journey.It was because of these newfound understandings that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side of Chicago one day and affirm my Christian faith. It came about as a choice and not an epiphany. I didn’t fall out in church. The questions I had didn’t magically disappear. But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side, I felt that I heard God’s spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to God’s will and dedicated myself to discovering God’s truth.” Leaving a church home is a sacrifice that wrenches something from the heart. It is done as a last resort and must be filled with a new and welcoming place in which to be accepted. Let us all pray that a new shepherd and a new congregation eagerly awaiting the arrival of our friend and his family. They need to find each other. Let us pray for discernment and a temporary place of worship that will provide nurturing and sanctuary in the interim. We are with you Barack and Michelle.

We are all aware that The Democratic National Committee's Rules & Bylaws Committee will meet on Saturday May 31, 2008 in Washington, DC. to consider the two challenges that have been filed pursuant to Rule 20.B of the 2008 Delegate Selection Rules and Regulation 3 of the Regulations of the Rules and Bylaws Committee concerning the seating of delegations from Florida and Michigan. Many of us will be registering voters and all of us will be anxiously awaiting the decision (or non-decision) coming from the afternoon session. I believe that too much can be made of the outcome. It will be what it will be. The most important events in our future are the primaries in Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota. The hard work of everyone involved in the campaigns in these sites will provide the momentum that will finally end in the nomination of our candidate. Barack Obama will be the next President of The United States of America. Not because of the actions of The RBC but because of the voters and workers who dedicate themselves to the cause.

Barack Obama has risen above the negativity of pushpolling, whining and blaming, attempts to alter the rules of engagement in the campaign, and countless attacks of a variety of personal and professional affronts. It is so impressive and refreshing to bear witness to such character and determination. Senator Obama is unlike any who has crossed our path in the memory of our generations. He is certainly a man of the people...a man who puts priciples over personalities...a man of compassion and understanding...a person of courage and faith. It is time for us all to follow his lead. Should a US president only talk to world leaders who are obedient and would always say: "YES SIR, YOU ARE RIGHT SIR"?

Certainly NOT! Since the world is made up of different people with different points of view, then it is only natural that there would be lots of leaders out there with different points of view as well. From the US's stance, their point of view could be wrong and from where they stand the US's point of view! Now if a US president is sure of the righteousness of the American policy, then that confident president should talk to others with different points of views and try to convince them of his country's righteousness. Such an internationally popular president would also show the world that US believes in dialogue first.

Other presidential candidates think talking to world leaders who do not have the same way of thinking as the US, will give those leaders prestige and credibility. But unfortunately, I have news for those candidates who are really out of touch with realities of today's world and are not too familiar with international relations! It really saddens me to say, due to the Republican "Gunboat Diplomacy" of the past seven years; in today's world it is more prestigious and credible to be a US adversary than a US friend?! Why? Because it is the David and Goliath situation! The US due to its military might and amour as well as bragging posture of the past seven years is considered a Superpower Goliath and world leaders who confront this Goliath as David. In every conflict, it is very much expected by every body for Goliath to win. So even if David loses, then he will still finish as a credible and prestigious adversary. And if David wins the contest, as he did in the Bible story, then he really has done it! So almost every conflict will be a winning situation for David and a losing situation for Goliath! Now those same candidates for presidency claim to know a lot about international relations and they claim to have lots of political experience as well?!

But of course, the catastrophic crimes against humanity of: a-Sept. 11 by the terrorists, b-Iran/Kuwait invasions and genocide of Kurds by Sadam the Satan, 3- The invasion of Europe and the Holocaust by Racist Nazi Fascists, etc. were exceptions to the David/Goliath rule. In all of the above catastrophic situations, whether David or Goliath, all those who were harmed, would always have the right to defend themselves, but by conventional means only.

On saturday night I visited the catholic church congress in Osnabrück (North Germany). It had a spirit of lightness, which I seldom feeled any time before. I visited the festival of culture. One of our guests was a dancing group from hawai in its traditional outfit. The young women wear half of cocusnuts where they usually have to wear somthing likewise. All of them were best in form. Only one of the lovable girls brings one or two points more then the average on the weighing machine. I'm sure the best form in the baroque. So I thought, she is a little bit more courageously then the others. But the reason is easy. The aim of the culture dancing show is not to present your body. It's to dance and to love what you do. So what. the young woman shows us one important thing. If you really want to do something and you love it, than the motto sounds: Yes we can.

Hola!

Finalmente llego el momento de escojer a quien será el candidato a Presidente por el Partido Demócrata Estadounidense. La primaria ha sido una luchada pero el Senador Barack Obama continúa al frente. Aunque Puerto Rico en su condición de E.L.A. no puede votar en las elecciones generales, sí puede votar en las primarias partidistas. La primaria demócrata en P.R. tendrá lugar el 1ro de junio.

Mucha gente suele decir ¿si no podemos votar en Noviembre porqué debe interesarme votar en las primarias? La respuesta es simple, uno debe interesarse en ejercer su derecho al voto en cuanta elección se le ofrezca pues uno debe aprovechar cualquier oportunidad que se presente de poder moldear el futuro político. Creciendo en P.R., recuerdo cuán mal (económicamente) se las vió mi papá cuando Reagan estuvo en el poder y cortó muchísimas ayudas y programas sociales. Mi padre sólo protestaba diciendo: “¿qué más irá a cortar?, ya nos tiene casi ahorcados”. Cómo ven las deciones del Presidente de los E.U. sí afectan directamente a la Isla.

Este año los E.U. escojerán a quien será su Presidente posiblemente por los próximos 8 años. La economía no está muy buena, la guerra continúa y los a los E.U. no se les considera ‘buenos amigos’ a nivel internacional... P.R. no tendrá la oportunidad de votar en Noviembre pero sí de escoger a quien aparecerá en dicha papeleta.

En lo personal, teniendo de frente la opción de escoger entre el Senador Barack Obama y la Senadora Hillary Clinton, yo escojo a Obama y espero que cuando le llegue el momento a Puerto Rico, también escoja al Senador Obama. Los puertorriqueños, al igual que muchos americanos, están familiarizados con el apellido Clinton y tal vez eso les influencie a darle su voto... El hecho de que reconocemos su apellido no significa que la Senadora Clinton es mejor candidata a la Presidencia de los E.U. La Presidencia de los E.U. Ha sido dominada por dos familias (Clinton & Bush) ¡por los últimos 27 años! ¡Es hora de acabar con esas dinastías!

El Senador Obama no viene de familias ricas o con gran influencia política, es un hombre común que con gran determinación a logrado llegar a donde hoy se encuentra. Conoce en su propia carne lo que es ser una minoría y tener que luchar el doble o triple para llegar a donde quiere llegar. Representa la esperanza de un mejor futuro. ¿Quién es Barack Obama? Resulta ideal estar hoy aquí – no sólo porque el Día de los Caídos está al doblar de la esquina sino porque los puertorriqueños son una parte integral de las fuerzas armadas de los Estados Unidos. En esta isla y en los vecindarios de puertorriqueños en todos los Estados Unidos, usted puede visitar cualquier hogar y encontrar que allí vive un veterano – o ver que cuelga de la pared la fotografía de un ser querido vestido de uniforme.

Esto refleja la tradición de servicio y sacrificio que ha prevalecido en nuestra historia desde sus comienzos – desde que los puertorriqueños pelearon con las milicias de Boston para vencer al Imperio Británico. Fue el regimiento de infantería 65 – los Borinqueneers– los que lucharon con mi abuelo para liberar un continente del fascismo y aquellos que con extraordinario valor en Corea llevaron a MacArthur a decir que él deseaba que hubiera más tropas como ellos. Y hoy, es esta isla la que está enviando a sus hijos a servir en Irak y Afganistán, con una cifra que supera a casi cualquier otro lugar de nuestra nación.

El legado de ustedes es un legado de orgullo. Y en mayo honramos a los treinta y cinco héroes de esta isla – y los héroes de todos los Estados Unidos – que han dado su vida en Irak y en todas las guerras de nuestra nación. Y honraremos el sacrificio que nuestras tropas están haciendo cada día en nombre de todos nosotros.

Pero nunca debemos olvidar que el honrar a nuestros hombres y mujeres exige mucho más que rendirles tributo en el Día de los Caídos. Exige tener el liderazgo civil que nos permita servir a nuestras tropas de la misma forma en que ellas nos sirven a nosotros – y eso significa un liderazgo que refleje el buen juicio de elegir cuándo debemos enviar a nuestras tropas al campo de batalla. Porque no es justo enviar nuestras tropas a la guerra de Irak sin hacer primero las preguntas difíciles; o enviarlas a pelear sin el respaldo que necesitan para defenderse y garantizar la paz. No es justo enviar nuestras tropas a luchar en una guerra basada más en ideología y política que en una amenaza urgente a nuestra nación. Y es por eso que desde un principio me opuse a la guerra de Irak.

Es hora de terminar esta guerra para que podamos terminar la lucha contra Al Qaeda en Afganistán y Pakistán, y combatir otras amenazas del siglo XXI – y necesitamos combatir no vociferando ni intimidando sino con diplomacia firme y alianzas sólidas. Esa es la clase de liderazgo que nuestras tropas merecen. Y es esa clase de liderazgo la que ofreceremos como Comandante en Jefe de las Fuerzas Armadas.

Pero la obligación de los Estados Unidos con nuestros hombres y mujeres que sirven en las fuerzas armadas no debe terminar cuando se quitan el uniforme. Tenemos un convenio sagrado con nuestros veteranos y debemos mantenerlo. Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de hacer esto. Hubo una propuesta de ley para un voto en el Senado llamado “la Propuesta de Ley de los Veteranos del Siglo XXI” que haría posible establecer fondos

de estudios universitarios para los veteranos de hoy día sin que perjudique sus tasas de retención. Esta propuesta de ley fue presentada por mi amigo el Senador Jim Webb, quien fue soldado de infantería de marina, y por líderes de ambos partidos. Se trata de una ley diseñada para actualizar la propuesta original de la Ley de los Veteranos que le ofrecía a veteranos como mi abuelo la oportunidad de ir a la universidad después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Gracias al apoyo de ambos partidos, la propuesta fue aprobada por un voto de 75 a 22. Pero una de las personas que se opuso a ella fue John McCain. Ahora, permítanme hablar claramente, nadie le puede disputar a John McCain el amor que siente por su país. Pero esto es lo que no entiendo. No puedo comprender que John McCain se ponga de parte de George Bush y rechace un plan que permitiría poner los estudios universitarios al alcance de nuestros veteranos. George Bush y John McCain pueden pensar que nuestro plan es demasiado generoso pero en esto no podría discrepar más de ellos. Poner un diploma universitario al alcance de nuestros veteranos no es ser demasiado generoso; es lo menos que podemos hacer por nuestros héroes. Y continuaré luchando en los próximos meses para darles a aquellos que han defendido a los Estados Unidos la oportunidad de hacer realidad sus sueños.

Pero es mucho lo que puede hacerse por nuestros veteranos. Simplemente miren el hospital de veteranos aquí en San Juan. Este hospital fue construido hace casi cuatro décadas y necesita desesperadamente ser renovado y reparado. No hay suficientes habitaciones. No ha sido diseñado para ayudar a mujeres veteranas. Y no está bien equipado para proporcionar el cuidado necesario si usted está paralizado o incapacitado. Eso es inaceptable. Cuando yo sea Presidente, me ocuparé de averiguar lo que necesita su hospital de veteranos y todos los hospitales de veteranos de la nación y resolveré rápidamente los problemas que encontremos. Necesitamos asegurarnos de que los veteranos aquí en San Juan están recibiendo la misma calidad de cuidado que los veteranos de Chicago y de los 50 estados del país y que aquellos que han usado el uniforme de los Estados Unidos de América sean tratados con el respeto y la dignidad que han sabido ganarse.

Es por eso que he prometido construir un hospital de veteranos del siglo XXI como Presidente de los Estados Unidos. Esto significa modificar nuestro sistema para que funcione no sólo para los miembros de las fuerzas armadas hombres sino también para las mujeres. Significa no más burocracia – es hora de darle a cada miembro de las fuerzas armadas copias electrónicas de sus expedientes médicos y de servicio una vez que sean dados de alta. Significa no más déficit – nosotros pagaremos por completo el cuidado de la salud de nuestros veteranos. Significa no más demoras – aprobaremos los presupuestos a tiempo. Significa no más evaluaciones financieras – es hora de que cada veterano pueda estar en el sistema de veteranos. Significa asegurarse de que nuestros veteranos puedan descansar con honor. Y significa continuar el trabajo que hemos comenzado en el Comité del Senado para Asuntos de Veteranos y tener una política de cero tolerancia para los veteranos que duermen en la calle.

Esto también se basa en el trabajo que hemos comenzado en el Senado para confrontar una de las principales lesiones de las guerras de Irak y Afganistán – Trastorno de Ansiedad Post Traumático (PTSD). Un reciente estudio de la Rand Corporation encontró que debido al cuidado inapropiado de la salud mental, el número de suicidios entre los veteranos de Irak y Afganistán podría actualmente exceder el número de muertes en combate. Y, sin embargo, hace unos días, encontramos que un psicólogo de veteranos le dio instrucciones a su personal de abstenerse de hacer diagnósticos de PTSD porque le estaba costando demasiado al gobierno. Somos una nación mejor que esta realidad. Y tenemos que lograr algo mejor que esto. Y cuando yo sea Presidente, mejoraremos las pruebas para detectar problemas mentales y el tratamiento necesario a todos los niveles: desde el reclutamiento hasta la implementación, y el retorno a la vida civil. Traeremos más profesionales de salud mental y les proporcionaremos la capacitación que necesitan para reconocer los síntomas de enfermedades y ayudaremos a disipar el estigma de buscar cuidado mental.

Me niego a aceptar que en los Estados Unidos de América no podamos servir a todos nuestros veteranos de la forma en que ellos nos sirven a nosotros. Me niego a aceptar que debemos privar a nuestros veteranos del cuidado que necesitan y que llegarán a convertirse en desamparados. Me niego a aceptar que los veteranos aquí en Puerto Rico tengan que ser tratados con menos prioridad o que reciban un nivel de cuidado inferior al de los veteranos de cualquier otra parte de la nación.

Creo en los Estados Unidos que defienden a aquellos que han usado su uniforme de la forma en que defendieron a mi abuelo después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, que mantiene su convenio sagrado con nuestros veteranos y que vive de acuerdo con el credo de honor y fidelidad del legendario regimiento de infantería 65, los Borinqueneers. Debemos recordar que honramos nuestros más altos ideales al honrar a aquellos hombres y mujeres que lo han sacrificado todo por su patria. Ese es el trabajo que queda por hacer, y es lo que haré cada día como Presidente de los Estados Unidos. Les pido a ustedes que tengan esperanza y les pido que cooperen. Su voto es decisivo. If you take a strong look at business models like SAS Institute in Cary NC, among many others that have best prospered unwaveringly over the years; each understood that the CEO's voice much reach the front line or "blue collar worker" just as clear as other departmental phases of the business. Furthermore, they realized that the more layers one has in a business, the more the executive department alienates themselves through red tape from the grassroots of the business. It is the business of chained-bureaucracy and top-down approach communication that causes businesses to fail. These failed businesses did not understand (some after it was too late) the value of non-grapevine grassroots interpersonal communication with their workers that place them in a position to voice their opinion and beliefs. I am talking about cultural climate, whether it’s the leave mother who feels she deserves pay while taking off time during pregnancy, employee advancement options, independent or team management, worker’s comp or company dress policy. Culture is what runs a business.

Obama offers this kind of plan that will reach through the walls of politicial bureaucracy in Washington; to make sure everyone’s voice is heard; black, white or autistic, and that his message reaches each citizen in a non-superficial way that is in the context ‘he’ intended it to be in, not Fox News or CNN (who I enjoy watching) or local early morning radio host (with all due respect). However, we as Americans will not clearly hear the depth of his plan for a "new birth" in politics nor be able to joyfully and freely partake of it, if our hearts are not open to looking pass the stumbling factor of race or gender.

A Reminder to all Barack Obama supporters:

We are the part of the democratic party that does not slam, does not put down, does not get angry, does not hate, and does not take revenge physical, psychological or otherwise.

I was a little taken aback after reading a bit about the behavior of some Obama supporters in West Virginia who heckled Hillary and Chelsea during her speech. Please do not do this.

The temptation is there, especially now that we can see victory in our sights, to take some meausre of revenge upon the Clinton campaign and its supporters for the unfair treatment we have received. The temptation is there to call the members of our family and some of our friends who are Clinton supporters and tell them, "See, told you so." But please do not.

It would be easy to catcall, to chide, to bloat ourselves big and fat with arrogance and express our disdain for Clintonites everywhere. It would be so easy. But if we do this, we will not be better than those who slammed us. We will, in fact, become worse than them because we know better. We know that it is wrong. We remember what it was like to have to deal with the "Hussein" comments and the "muslim" comments and the "friendly with radicals" comments. We know how it feels, and we know it is wrong. For that very reason, do not become what you know to be wrong - a hate-spewer, a revenge-taker, an angry Obamaite. We do not need this. Ask yourself: What would Barack want you to do?

Barack has taken the high road, and I encourage you to do the same. We, even though we may have some bruised feelings, are still brothers and sisters within the Democratic Party. The way to make the Clinton camp come around, even those who say to the pollsters they will not vote for Obama in the general election, is to be nice to them. To some it will sound crazy, but it is the way. Be nice, and be nice, and be even more nice. That is the high road, and it is the road Barack wants us to take.

It is time for unity. We are a unified nation only so much as we are a mature one. So please bring that maturity to bear in your dealings with Clinton supporters, McCain supporters, and supporters of all kinds. If we continue to hold and live this positive front, the undecideds and the leaners will lean our way. They will ask themselves, "What do they have? Why are they so positive? What do they know?" And we will be able to tell them that we only know that divisiveness is not the way, that anger is not the way. That we can be the change we wish to see; we can, in fact, be the high road, and people will come to our side.

Do not join the dark side. I know it is tempting. But we are the light, and the only way to fight the dark is not to fight it at all, but to turn on the lights ever and ever more brighter. Turn on the lights of your positivity, your compassion, and your drive for success. Invite the Clintonites over for breakfast, pour them a cup, and tell them that you appreciate their passion. Let them know that you want to work with them to make this country great. That no matter who the candidate was to be, we were never going to be able to do this alone. There are no winners and no losers here; there is only us, and we have to tackle the problems of this great country. Tell them we are one people, we are one nation, and together we will begin the next great chapter in America's story.

Tell them, let them live the power of who you are, and do not take revenge. We have already won; what reason would there be to gloat?

There is a long road ahead of us. John McCain is on the horizon and he does not look like a nice, neat package covered in bows. The attacks will get worse, the hate-spew will get worse and we will need our Clinton friends on our side. Make friends today. Make nice today, and by no means gloat and be arrogant. It is not our way; it is not who we are. We are Barack's soldiers - confident, truthful, and... nice. Whoever said those things did not go hand in hand did not understand what true power is?

I hope this helps you. I hope you can gracefully extend this same message to anyone you meet wishing to take revenge upon Clinton's supporters. Please do not.

We supporters need to speak out now, especially those of us who are black! Wright is on a destructive path and is hell bent on undermining Barack's bid for the White House.

As a black woman, I was appalled by Wright's performance at the NAACP Dinner that aired worldwide on both CNN and Fox News on Sunday evening. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the black church, I have been saddened by the statements and view of the black church that Wright and some members of the black clergy have casted. Their views are NOT shared by majority of black Americans like myself. We have been outraged at Wright and others who use God and faith to go from advocating for civil rights and social issues to preaching hate, division and colorism. His charactures of JFK, black people singing and dancing, and acting like a fool were an outrage to say the least! I for one was mad as hell!

As a young black woman in this country who is working hard to buck stereotypes, his performance only aids in making us as black people look unprofessional, racist and foolish! Barack and this campaign is about unity, positive activism and social change. Not the racist cynicism the that Wright is preaching. Wright is out to build his own notoriety and financial gain at the cost of this campaign and the much needed change Obama seeks to bring. Its a shame to see another black person working so hard to bring another down! We MUST TAKE ACTION to stop Wright and his buffoonery by speaking out in blogs on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, BBC America, PBS and talk radio, before more damage is done!

Protegèlo no el dios de los hombres y las religiones pequeñas sino El Dios que ES Ha Sido y Serà el de los verdaderos hombres religiosos que para serlo muchas veces miran con recelo y suspicacia las religiones formales que empequeñecen a Dios. Es el momento de los marginados porque es el momento de la Misericordia,algo de lo que està impregnado el mensaje de este hombre bajo el lema de la Esperanza y el cambio. What we need to do to win Puerto Rico!!!!!

Puerto Rico is very important and we must have a good showing there. This means opening headquarters across the island, providing Spanish campaign materials, supporting Puerto Rican and Hispanic volunteers to come back to the island, and campaigning in the way Puerto Ricans are used to by investing in carvanas and real grassroots efforts. By doing this we can take Puerto Rico's 63 delegates.

Starting late, not providing enough signage, focusing only in the North and not reaching everyone on the island is a winning strategy for helping Hillary win the island. We need to get FIRED UP and get on HQ's open all over the island and help Puerto Ricans to deliver Puerto Rico 63 delegates, but they NEED US to get on it! Especially in the East, West and South of the island! We need to use traditional Puerto Rican campaign strategies like carvanas. It is critical that we get on the ground now and work hard up until the evening of Sunday, June 1st.

This Primary is historic in that Puerto Rico will play a role in the choosing the Democratic nominee. By deliver PR it shows that Barack can win with Hispanic, women and senior citizens. This PR Primary can prove that he can buck this issue. But, that means we must get there and work hard, EARLY!!!! Not the traditional 2 week run in/run out! This DOES NOT WORK with our challlenging voter demographics! We must be more hands on, provide more campaign materials, do more constituency building, learn the Puerto Rican way of campaigning and GET ON THE GROUND NOW ALL OVER THE ISLAND! We have enough money and folks in the campaign to fight in all of the remaining contest equally hard. Coming to PR late, not having a presence all over the island, not having enough signage and not using PR campaign strategies is a WIN FOR BILLARY!

We must encourage the campaign to have Barack circle the island, and stump in Ponce, Humacao, Mayaguez, and Carolina. As well as to have Barack give speeches at the University of Puerto Rico cmapuses and Rio the big stadium at Rio Piedras.

Join us to help Puerto Rico deliver all 63 delegates for Obama. We need YOU to set up Spanish call banks, send Spanish campaign materials to the island, and support volunteers travel and lodging on the island, and the pay for carvanas to canvass the island to get our message out around the island.
