Societies Failure to provide adequate treatment programs for mentally disturbed inmates.

"Do you know that - mental disorders are found in a fairly large number of the inmates in correctional institutions. There are no exact figures as to the inmates who are mentally disturbed and this is partly because it is hard to draw a precise line between "mental disturbance" and "normality"

Do you know that expers find that somewhere between 15% and 25% of inmates are suffering from disorders that are obvious enough to show up in routine psychiatric and sociological examinations.

Society has not yet really come to grips with the problem of what to do with mentally disturbed offenders because there is not enough money available to set up treatment programs for all the people indentify as mentally disturbed. Moreover, there would probably qualify psychiatric personnel available to run such programs even if they could be set up.

Moreover, most mentally disturbed offenders are therefore left to serve out there time in correctional institutions."

We are not going to get any support from the Republicans on passing any form of health care reform. Don't waste your valuable time trying to change their minds. Instead, go after the Democrats who are playing political games with our lives, while lining their pockets with donations form the medical corporation. Let them know you will not allow them to put a $$$ on the lives of our citizens.

Here are the Dems we should be putting the pressure on. Each day, take a couple minutes to send them a message. Let them know NOT voting for Health Care Reform is signing a death warrant for tens of thousands of American each and every year.

You do not have to fall under their constituency to let them know how you feel. Tell them if they do not do what is best for Americans, instead of themselves, you will do what ever you can to support their opponents come election time.

University of Michigan College Dems Break Own Record

On Thursday, The College Democrats at the University of Michigan sought out to break their own national record for the most calls made at a single Organizing for America event. After making calls for ten straight hours with over 30 students participating, their efforts paid off. The College Democrats at the University of Michigan made 2,075 calls! They set the previous record at 1,739 just over month ago. A conference room in the Michigan Union was scene of the phonebanking marathon. It was filled with call sheets, pizza boxes, phone chargers and dozens of the group's members, showing up to make calls for as much or as little time as their schedules would allow. Some members stayed for four or five hours as a time, while others showed up several times through out the day in between classes and work to make as many calls as they could. True to their affinity for new media, the group used a Facebook event, google form, dozens of emails, Twitter, and text messages to rally its members. The College Democrats look forward to challenging their own record again in support of reform.

After stops in Japan, Singapore and China, and a final stop in South Korea today, President Obama is nearing the end of his first official trip to Asia.

Yesterday, President Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao announced a far-reaching package of measures to strengthen cooperation between the United States and China on clean energy. The White House blog posted a good round up of the six new clean energy measures:

The U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center will facilitate joint research and development of clean energy technologies by teams of scientists and engineers from the United States and China, as well as serve as a clearinghouse to help researchers in each country.
The U.S.-China Electric Vehicles Initiative will include joint standards development, demonstration projects in more than a dozen cities, technical roadmapping and public education projects, all aimed at eventual deployment of electric vehicles to reduce oil dependence.
The U.S. China Energy Efficiency Action Plan will allow the two countries to work together to improve the energy efficiency of buildings, industrial facilities, and consumer appliances, culminating with an annual U.S.-China Energy Efficiency Forum, rotating between the two countries.
The U.S. China Renewable Energy Partnership will facilitate development of roadmaps for wide-spread renewable energy deployment. A new Advanced Grid Working Group made up of American and Chinese developers and strategists will help plan for grid modernization in both countries, and a new U.S.-China Renewable Energy Forum will be held annually, rotating between the two countries.
A 21st Century Coal Initiative, for which the two Presidents pledged to promote cooperation on cleaner uses of coal, will include large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) demonstration projects.
A Shale Gas Initiative, will allow the U.S. and China to use experience gained in the United States to assess China’s shale gas potential, promote environmentally-sustainable development of shale gas resources, conduct joint technical studies to accelerate development of shale gas resources in China, and promote shale gas investment in China through the U.S.-China Oil and Gas Industry Forum, study tours, and workshops.
The U.S. China Energy Cooperation Program will leverage private sector resources for project development work in China across a broad array of clean energy projects, to the benefit of both nations.

The Way Senate CAN Pass The Health Bill

For some reason the media and even our politicians keep pounding the vital importance of the Senate obtaining 60 votes in the Senate to pass the health care reform legislation. There's the non-stop 'what will (Traitor) Joe Lieberman do'...or 'will they get (R) Olympia Snowe'...or 'will Harry Reid get the 60 votes he needs...'? 60...60...60 !!! That's all we hear. I'm not sure if the media is trying to add drama to the health care issue in an attempt to stimulate audience ratings or if it's an orchestrated tactic in hopes of keeping Americans ill-informed through the direction of our great politicians, but the FACT is, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid DOES NOT need 60 votes to pass the health care bill but in fact ONLY 51- a simple majority, which makes a huge difference-through a procedure commonly used and known as RECONCILIATION.

Reconciliation is " a legislative process of the United States Senate intended to allow a contentious budget bill to be considered without being subject to filibuster (only needing 51 votes to pass). Because reconciliation limits debate and amendment, the process empowers the majority party ". The reconciliation procedure is limited to being used for budget related legislation that costs or raises substantial amounts of money. In the case of the Senate health care bill, that would include the expansion of Medicare or Medicaid, revenue-raising tax provisions, and even the creation of a public health insurance option, depending on how it's written. So the reconciliation procedure CAN be used to pass the health care bill with only 51 VOTES !

The downside of the bill being passed through this procedure is that, due to a ruling known as the Byrd Rule, non-budget legislation designed to regulate the insurance industry could not be included in the bill and would have to be voted on in a separate bill which would need 60 votes to overcome a filibuster. But there is a strategy that can be used to overcome even this obstacle as described by Ryan Grimm of HuffPo:

    But there's another alternative, according to Martin Paone. Paone, who served as a Democratic Senate floor staffer for 29 years, has been advising Democrats as they craft their legislative strategy. He proposes that Democrats try to get 60 votes to waive the Byrd Rule -- which would then allow the inclusion of those non-budget-related provision in one bill that would require only 51 votes for final passage.

    What's the advantage? And why would any senator who opposes the entire bill vote for such a waiver? The answer can be found in the specific proposals that would be in violation of the Byrd Rule. Mostly, those would include reforms to the way the insurance industry operates -- for example, a ban on using preexisting conditions to deny coverage, or a law that insurance companies can't drop a client just because they get sick.

    Those are wildly popular reforms. Getting 60 votes to support those policies is much easier than getting 60 for a public health insurance option, which Republicans and some conservative Democrats oppose.

    Conservative senators such as Mary Landrieu (D-La.), Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) or Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) could, in voting for a Byrd Rule waiver, put themselves on the record as being in support of popular insurance industry reforms, while still opposing final passage of the bill -- a political strategy that may be appealing to them.

So, as the media continues their daily rant of how imperative it is that EVERY Democratic Senator vote yes on the health care bill remember one FACT that they seem to want to hide from We The People. There IS a way for the Senate to get the bill passed WITHOUT 60 votes...without Traitor Joe...without Olympia Snowe...without Mary Landrieu...making them absolutely meaningless in the debate.

Now, WE must let Harry Reid know that WE know that this option is in fact available to him. Call...Email...and DEMAND that if he feels he doesn't have the 60 votes needed to block the filibuster, then We The People...

DEMAND
RECONCILIATION !

When they, our great politicians realize that WE KNOW that they have this option...they will be FORCED to use it...even if they had other intentions (like letting the bill stall or even fail). Help the word RECONCILIATION become a household word. Spread the fact that this IS in fact an alternate means of the Senate getting the bill passed. Since day one, President Obama has stated that he would not be able to create Change on his own...that he would need OUR help. Time to do OUR part by DEMANDING that our politicians do EVERYTHING possible, including RECONCILIATION, to stop 44,000 Americans from DYING each year due to the lack of access to quality health care, by passing health care reform-with a strong public option-for all.

Email the media to let them know that WE know
and are DEMANDING that our politicians

This week, Organizing for America in Michigan is preparing events to thank members of congress for their support on health insurance reform. Last Saturday, the House of Representatives passed historic health reform legislation. Allen and Janet H couldn’t wait to thank their representative, Congressman Gary Peters (D-Bloomfield Hills) for his support on health insurance reform. Allen and Janet have been involved in politics for over 50 years and comprehensive health insurance reform has been a goal they have always hoped could be achieved. Shortly after Saturday night’s vote, President Obama released the following statement

Tonight, in an historic vote, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would finally make real the promise of quality, affordable health care for the American people.
The Affordable Health Care for America Act is a piece of legislation that will provide stability and security for Americans who have insurance; quality affordable options for those who don’t; and bring down the cost of health care for families, businesses, and the government while strengthening the financial health of Medicare. And it is legislation that is fully paid for and will reduce our long-term federal deficit.

Thanks to the hard work of the House, we are just two steps away from achieving health insurance reform in America. Now the United States Senate must follow suit and pass its version of the legislation. I am absolutely confident it will, and I look forward to signing comprehensive health insurance reform into law by the end of the year.

Having always been supporters of Congressman Peters, Allen and Janet were overjoyed and wanted to find a special way to thank him for his support for health insurance reform. Janet decided to bake the Congressman her famous banana nut bread and Allen delivered it to him personally.

My brother smiled and hugged me, "God likes variety as he made many colors in the flowers so they would not all be so boring but so we would not get tired of the same bouguet of flowers every day of our life! We are God's favorite color as he made more of us than he did any other color so do not hurt as it is what pleases God the most so be grateful that God made you into His most popular color!" Well with a new heavenly perspective I hold my head up and think to myself that coworker who bragged that he was a missionary to Mexico has and was discusted that his daughter wanted to live together as "this generation has no morals" well as that racist bragged about speaking in codes at work "ferns in Finland" etc well I thank God that my sins do not include racismB I walked awayfrom my brother knowing God had my back and God knows what beauty is as he created the Grand Canyon, Niagra FallsN the Seven Mile Beach, the cliffs of Normandy and He put us in the group to be hated but who is more beautiful than a banana orchid, or an alligator in the sunset on Lake Livingston! Flint Celebrates the One Year Aniversary of Change

Organizing for America hosted a celebration in Flint on the one year anniversary of the election of President Barack Obama. Complete with décor from the campaign, the ubiquitous Barack Obama cardboard cutout, and speeches from then Sen. Obama in the background, the atmosphere was somewhat surreal for those that had worked tirelessly during the campaign.

The scavenger hunt was case in point. It asked participant to find someone who: volunteered in both 2008 and 2009; volunteered out of state; made a donation; attended an event with Sen. Obama; attended the inauguration, and was wearing Obama gear. Everyone in the room fit at least one category. I met Jim Carlson, who volunteered in Michigan last year. Looking back on the one year mark, Jim said “It’s amazing how much has been accomplished since then”. I also met Mary McLemore who attended events with President Obama in Flint and Detroit. I met Laurie Holland, who was on the National Mall with her daughter when President Obama was officially sworn in. All voted for change, most volunteered for change, and many continue to work for change with Organizing for America.

Many were in this very room exactly one year ago watching the fruits of their labor come to fruition. Brian Bates remembers the excitement in the packed room as Genesee county residents waited for the results to come in.

“You get nervous. No matter how hard you worked, there’s always a chance the votes won’t go your way. I just hope we continue to push for the change we were pushing for during the election because it’s important and people need help.”

The trip down memory lane also served to keep people focused on continuing to work for change. Two tables on display had signs that said “Then” and “Now”. The latter was filled with sign-ups for Organizing for America volunteer opportunities, a place to sign up to call your congressman in support of health insurance form, and a place to drop off letters to members of Congress in support of reform. Flint township leader Mary Putnam spoke to the crowd, telling them of the friends she made during the campaign and the weekly meetings they still have to continue to push for change.

Nov.4th Then and Now: "The Sense of Hope That Continues to Motivate Me"

Michigan: As Americans all across the country today celebrate the one year anniversary of the election of President Barack Obama, hundreds of Organizing for America volunteers gather to celebrate their continued efforts for change. For Community Organizer Christine Jaranowski, the hope born out of a movement for change and a historic election continues today.“It is that sense of hope that continues to inspire and motivate me as I continue the work started last fall, now with Organizing for America.”

Like many in Michigan, Christine joined the President’s campaign late in the election. President Obama was not on the ballot during the Michigan Primary, and there was little campaigning in the state by any Democratic candidate. The general election brought heavy campaigning from both Presidential contenders, and allowed Christine an opportunity to be involved in history.

“Getting involved in a presidential campaign was something that I had always wanted to do, but I never seemed to have the time to volunteer. In 2008, I was able to not only make the time to get involved, but I’d also found, in Barack Obama, a candidate that I believed could not only bring about much needed change, but one that I could support wholeheartedly.”

Unlike Christine, Chris Savage had been involved in previous election. His motivation to get involved with a local Dexter group could be found in those defeats.

“I got involved because I felt like I had really dropped the ball in 2004. Although we had volunteered on Election Day, we never got fully involved in the Kerry campaign and, when he was defeated, I felt defeated. I vowed I would never let that happen again.”

As Chris knocked on 1000s of door and made hundreds of calls in his community, Christine was running a phonebank in her home in Fenton every week from the beginning of September until Nov 4th. Christine remembers fondly the empowerment her volunteers felt when they were able to convince undecided voter to support President Obama. For Christine and Chris and millions of others across the country, the final results on Nov 4th proved that change could come from the ground up, and could lead to stronger communities.

“On election night, I remember standing with my team of volunteers, people I’d only known for a few weeks, but people who were tirelessly dedicated to fighting for change, and I remember the sense of accomplishment in creating this community of volunteers and the joy at not only having won, but of having been a part of something much larger. More importantly, for the first time in eight years, I had a restored sense of hope; hope that change was not just a possibility but also a reality.”

The ability to affect change has kept Chris, Christine, and hundreds of grassroots leaders involved in their movement for change with Organizing for America. Chris was able to get a lot of the friends he made during the campaign active again with OFA in the pursuit of health insurance reform. Christine has again taken a leadership role in Genesee County, not only in continuing to run a phonebank but also training and empowering other leaders.

“I have learned that we can’t just wait for change, we have to work for change every day. Today, we continue to work hard for change, as Organizing for America fights for real health insurance reform.”

Scientists have discovered how to “read” minds by scanning brain activity and reproducing images of what people are seeing — or even remembering.

Researchers have been able to convert into crude video footage the brain activity stimulated by what a person is watching or recalling.

The breakthrough raises the prospect of significant benefits, such as allowing people who are unable to move or speak to communicate via visualisation of their thoughts; recording people’s dreams; or allowing police to identify criminals by recalling the memories of a witness.

However, it could also herald a new Big Brother era, similar to that envisaged in the Hollywood film Minority Report, in which an individual’s private thoughts can be readily accessed by the authorities.

Jack Gallant and Shinji Nishimoto, two neurologists from the University of California, Berkeley, last year managed to correlate activity in the brain’s visual cortex with static images seen by the person. Last week they went one step further by revealing that it is possible to “decode” signals generated in the brain by moving scenes.

In an experiment which has yet to be peer reviewed, Gallant and Nishimoto, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology, scanned the brains of two patients as they watched videos.

A computer programme was used to search for links between the configuration of shapes, colours and movements in the videos, and patterns of activity in the patients’ visual cortex.

It was later fed more than 200 days’ worth of YouTube internet clips and asked to predict which areas of the brain the clips would stimulate if people were watching them.

Finally, the software was used to monitor the two patients’ brains as they watched a new film and to reproduce what they were seeing based on their neural activity alone.

Remarkably, the computer programme was able to display continuous footage of the films they were watching — albeit with blurred images.

In one scene which featured the actor Steve Martin wearing a white shirt, the software recreated his rough shape and white torso but missed other details, such as his facial features.

Another scene, showing a plane flying towards the camera against a city skyline, was less successfully reproduced. The computer recreated the image of the skyline but omitted the plane altogether.

“Some scenes decode better than others,” said Gallant. “We can decode talking heads really well. But a camera panning quickly across a scene confuses the algorithm.

“You can use a device like this to do some pretty cool things. At the moment when you see something and want to describe it to someone you have to use words or draw it and it doesn’t work very well.

“You could use this technology to transmit the image to someone. It might be useful for artists or to allow you to recover an eyewitness’s memory of a crime.”

Such technology may not be confined to the here and now. Scientists at University College London have conducted separate tests that detect, with an accuracy of about 50%, memories recalled by patients.

The discoveries come amid a flurry of developments in the field of brain science. Researchers have also used scanning technology to measure academic ability, detect early signs of Alzheimer’s and other degenerative conditions, and even predict the decision a person is about to make before they are conscious of making it.

Such developments may have controversial ramifications. In Britain, fMRI scanning technology has been sold to multinational companies, such as Unilever and McDonald’s, enabling them to see how we subconsciously react to brands.

In America, security agencies are researching the use of brain scanners for interrogating prisoners, and Lockheed Martin, the US defence contractor, is reported to have studied the possibility of scanning brains at a distance.

This would allow an individual’s thoughts and anxieties to be examined without their knowledge in sensitive locations such as airports.

Russell Foster, a neuroscientist at Oxford University, said rapid advances in the field were throwing up ethical dilemmas.

“It’s absolutely critical for scientists to inform the public about what we are doing so they can engage in the debate about how this knowledge should be used,” he said.

“It’s the age-old problem: knowledge is power and it can be used for both good and evil.”

Organizing for America in Michigan Grassroots Profile: University of Michigan College Democrats

Ann Arbor- One of the strengths of President Obama’s 2008 Campaign for Change was the record number of youth that got involved in hopes of changing the country. The College Democrats at the University of Michigan were a part of these efforts last year, and fortunately they have continued their efforts in a big way with Organizing for America –Michigan.

UMCD’s work with OFA- Michigan began with a meeting between their leadership and OFA- Michigan staff. Shortly after, Amanda Caldwell was chosen as the OFA liaison and they began to tackle health insurance reform by hosting weekly phone banks and doing outreach on campus. Since then Amanda and the College Dems have proven to be grassroots leaders on their campus and in the state.

A recent friendly competition with student organizers at Michigan State University proved the College Dems’ ability to affect change. On Thursday, October 15, more than 60 students from UMCD made over 1700 phone calls to Michigan residents urging them to call their representatives in support of President Barack Obama's plan for health insurance reform. At this event, UMCD members set the national record for the most phone calls made at a single Organizing for America event. Starting early in the day, UMCD members began calling potential supporters to encourage them to contact their members of Congress about health insurance

"It was great to see so many of our members turn out to the event," said Samuel T. Marvin, chair of UMCD. "Health care is a student issue. By working on comprehensive health insurance reform now, we are making an investment in our future.

In addition to UMCD's involvement with OFA Michigan, the group also activates on progressive issues and campaigns for Democratic candidates. Last fall, UMCD members volunteered for congressional candidates Gary Peters, Mark Schauer, and Bart Stupak. The members have also been volunteering for Marty Griffin's campaign for State Senate throughout the fall.

UMCD holds weekly chapter meetings every Thursday in the Michigan Union at 8pm.

We have more than 500 victims daily being tortured and abused by remotely directed energy weapons. But we remain resolute and most of us work diligently to expose this crime on the Internet, and won't stop reporting this heinous to the Chinese government.

In China, as in the rest of the world, the official police position is that Targeted Individuals are mentally ill, so we cannot get permits to do street protests.

Thought the protest went well. Weather wasn't the greatest. Kind of nervous with all the cops and undercover cops around. Ate alot of the chips and drank sodas I bought by a great donation from Cynthia. There were lots of tourists that stopped by and took pictires of the White House and us.

Enjoyed talking to other TIs about their situation. Learning alot from other TIs about how to cope and different remedies to use to uplift myself.. Many of the TIs were form NY. We spoke to a freelance writer who took notes and took our pictures. We spoke with other human rights groups that were nearby. Handed out fliers.

Yesterday, Wednesday, October 14, 2009, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, there was a civil protest against OS/EH at city hall in San Francisco, California, one of several being planned on or about that same day in several cities around the world, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Cincinnati (meeting only), Victoria and Toronto in Canada, London, India (internet mailings) and China (internet mailings), as part of a global day of protest being organized by a newly formed TI activism group called the International Alliance Against Covert Electronic Abuse, www.iaacea.org. Debbie Newhook and Galina Kurdina in Canada, Soleilmavis in China and Derrick Robinson of FFCHS were some of the planners.

Christine Harris in SF was the contact person for the San Francisco protest, with Mesha Monge-Irizarry being a resource having had experience in protesting.
Mesha is a non-TI activist Christine recently began networking with who among other things setup and moderated a forum to help organize the global protest.
She has an office in San Francisco and apparently moderates 250 internet forums, one of them being the recently created Targeted_Individual s yahoo group. She is considering holding TI meetings at her office in San Francisco.

A possibility of rain was forecast but the weather was clear and mostly sunny. I counted 16 protesters being present, including Christine, Richard in Marin, many other TIs who I've met before, a few I hadn't met yet, Mesha, and Marlon Crump,writer for Poor Magazine who Christine has recently began networking with. Most had arrived within the first half hour of the 11:00am protest start time.

We originally planned to protest at the park across the street from city hall,to be respectful of city hall workers, but a police officer came by and said we needed a permit to protest in a public park, though he said this first time he'd allow it. He also indicated we could protest directly in front of city hall if we liked, so we moved our protest to the sidewalk in front of city hall.

There was a plethora of protest signs of various sizes, colors and styles: "stop group stakling," "stop organized stalking," "stop organized terror," "stop covert torture," "stop electronic harassment," "stop electronic torture," "stop electromagnetic weapons," "stop defamation of character now," "restore human liberties now," "stop residential directed energy attacks now IAACEA," "unforgivable! MKULTRA should never happen again," and "my family is victim of mind control program illegally run by the US gov agencies. Torture, mental rape, robbery -- the outcome of the Nazi experiment." Also I brought buttons with the FFCHS logo for us to wear.

The mood was positive if not festive, with us talking amongst ourselves, getting to know each other. Some of us had come from as far away as Modesto and Fresno,and for at least one of us this was our first time meeting with other TIs.

Foot traffic was light, even during the lunch hour, with some passers-by looking to see what our signs said. A few spoke with us to try to understand what we were protesting. Due to the relatively light foot traffic and us not being very aggressive at distributing handouts, we didn't distribute all that many.
Handouts included one of the IAACEA press releases announcing the global protest, a letter from Missouri State Representative Jim Guest acknowledging the existence of OS/EH on many of the constituents in the country, a flyer on the book "A New Breed: Satellite Terrorism in America" by Dr. John Hall, who has treated patients suffering from the effects of OS/EH, a copy of an article entitled "Is the NSA Conducting Electronic Warfare On Americans?" regarding former NSA intelligence officer Russ Tice and the NSA's purported mind control technology, and a compilation of excerpts from Cheryl Welsh, FFCHS and H.Michael Sweeney.

Vehicular traffic on the other hand was ongoing, and heavier during the lunch hour. Some of us were lined along the edge of the sidewalk displaying our signs -- several drivers honked their horns and gave us the "thumbs up" in support!

At one point a reporter and cameraperson for an independent San Francisco internet video news group came by and did a brief interview with Christine and Mesha -- everybody felt they did a great job! Later on a CBS van parked across the street to cover a different event and Christine went over and gave them some handouts.

I spoke with several TIs at the protest. Christine says she is doing what she can to network to help end our harassment, a TI from Fresno says he is educating some of the people in Fresno on OS/EH, and another said God's message of love is the most important tool in counteracting our harassment. Marlon wanted everyone to know about his new, second, article on OS/EH, entitled "Targeted Individuals.

In my opinion the protest was certainly successful in terms of turnout -- this has been the largest turnout for any TI event in the San Francisco Bay Area I'm aware of and slightly exceed my expectations! Most of us stayed there until the 2:00pm protest end time, shortly after which we disbanded. I and at least a couple of others who were present took pictures of the event and I will be forwarding mine to Felix, a TI who plans to make a video of the global protests.
President Obama was to be visiting San Francisco the following day and Christine along with some of yesterday's protesters planned to be present to gain more exposure.

Reports of some of the protests in the other locations have been posted. Debbie declared her protest a success in Victoria, Canada -- there were 5 TIs present -- they handed out about 400 flyers and were interviewed by a local university student -- later on heavy rainfall brought an end to their protest. There were 5 TIs present at Galina protest in Toronto, Canada -- they spoke with several people, some sympathetic, and handed out a few flyers -- after the main protest had ended and they had some coffee they decided to do a second impromptu protest at another location. An early report from London, England, indicated 5 TIs were present but more were expected. The Philadelphia protest apparently only had one protester show up, but none-the-less the protester remained and handed out flyers! The LA protest was postponed to next week due to a heavy storm and flooding. Judy and I went to the Obama protest last night [Oct. 15th] at 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Powell Street and Geary Street, with over 1000 people. I brought my huge sign, and Russell Tice FBI fliers, and had many inquiries, and victims stopping to talk with us.

With the support of Judy, two reporters from cable channels 13, and 26, which may have been on T.V. last night at 10:00 P.M. stopped to interview me. I was brief, but stated our plight.

We were a "crowd" of about 20 TIs & Allies with signs brought by Bruno, Richard,a Black Brother who came from Fresno (name?), Christine, the Kats Family, Judy ... Who am I forgetting? Among us, a Black Sister who is a college professor in Political Science in Oakland, accompanied by a Latina and a white woman TIs.
Also was present a San Franciscan woman, former nurse who blew the whistle on her medical unit at PMC, when she saw several patients with electrodes in their brain, and realized from their encephalograms that something terribly wrong was being done to them... she disconnected everything, and the electronic torture started, did not let up for over a decade. At first the cops, then the sheriffs tried the intimidating routine by demanding to see a permit, but when told:

"we are not blocking traffic, we are only exercizing our right to peaceful assembly, this is a peaceful demonstration", they did not know what else to do.

Then when they approached us again, twice, I gave them a big smile, told them I was a City Commissioner and asked: "Are you going to keep us safe, Officers?" which was sufficient to make them instantly go away after exclaiming "Of course!!" One sheriff, astoundingly, raised a timid fist and quickly told us GO GET "EM" as he walked away with his colleagues (Refreshing! A TI cop ?)
Christine, Richard, the Kats Family, Carole, Judy, John, Yolanda, Carol , Bruno, Marlon, educated onlookers and passed on flyers (forgive this fried brain for omissions... ), and Bruno passed out Buttons. SF Based Tom MCray, TI and political writer, and a homeless person soon joined us. I talked to a colleague,a Veteran for Peace, published poet, who actually wore many political buttons, among them one on Covert Surveillance:

Robert W., who is the acclaimed Honorary chief of the Native Nation, although he is white, due to his incredible activism for Natives and Aborigines and tireless fight to ban School of the Americas and ROTC. He happened to just be waiting for a friend on City Hall steps, and enthusiastically interacted with us.

Robert stated: "We are ALL targeted !". I will stay in touch, potential powerful ally for us. I talked about the protest and IAACEA Goals & Objectives as defined in Debbie's pres release to Sophie Maxwell, City supervisor of my district, and to a campaign team member of James Keys, District 6 Supervisor candidate. Many participants actively engaged passerby's, including an Asian Gay Youth who now wants to be an ally to our movement. No negative interaction whatsoever! (To the sorry exception of a perplike loser... older white dude in a SUV who sped by, hollering: "Go get a job!" Which made us laugh.... Comic relief of the day) One press interview with Christine who handed out a press package and with myself.
Christine connected with the City Hall Court TV Media Liaison, and participants took many pictures and videos of our event.

...Marlon C. from Poor Magazine PPN came to interview participants, stayed with us during the entire event, and will work on his third article on "Targeted Individuals" that he will submit to his editor, the formidable "Tiny" Gray Garcia ! Christine and I will work on an article , recount that we will self publish on Indybay along with a compilation of pictures, under Health isues (Covert Violence IS a Public Health issue !)

TORONTO CANADA Report

We protested in front of the Legislative Assembly Building and near Medical Science Building of University of Toronto today. We started at 10.30 A.M. There were 5 people in front of the Legislative Assembly: Robin Yan, Regan Hallett, Carlo Calandra, Mark Holden and I, Galina Kurdina. People approached us and we distributed about 10 fliers. One woman came to us and started a scandal. She offered us to hire people, pay them and ask to hold our posters on streets of Toronto. She suggested us not to appear ourselves on the streets. She persuaded us that we had to put some soft information on our posters, not the truth that we experienced and described. When asked, what soft things she would advice to write on our posters, she did not answer. She asked Robin, what was the reason of his targeting. It was clear for all of us that she worked for police, or RCMP or Government. Robin took his camera and wanted to take pictures of her, and she immedieately disappeared...

We left Legislative Building about 1.30 P.M. Robin, Regan and I went to Tim Horton and had some coffee. After that we decided to go to any street and came to Medical Science Building of University of Toronto. Regan left us 30 minutes [later], Robin and I stayed there for one hour.

We distributed our fliers very quickly, people approached us, read our poster about mind control and took fliers. One student of UofT, sweet boy, said to us that, in his opinion, these experiments were disgusting, another person wished us to continue our struggle.

We made pictures and video records. I will send them to all of you, as soon as get them.

Many of you do not know me, but Galina and Robin do (who ran the protest yesterday at Queen's Park do) and I will save introductions for later for those who are dedicated to working to expose the truth about our cause.

I would like to send you all a little run-down of events yesterday -- I think Galina and Robin will agree, it was an excellent day with superb weather (my nose is totally toasted..LOL~ ) and we were treated with dignity and respect, a generous amount of interest (so much so that we RAN OUT OF letters), and a FEW VERY INTERESTING CONTACTS!All times are approximate. 10:00 AM We were greeted by Security and shown where we could set up. We were asked if we would be "chanting" and we said no. We were asked not to interfere with people on site and that we should let them come to us, we agreed.

We set up across from a woman on a month-long protest of her autistic son being cut off from therapy and put in a regular school. www.tooautistic. com (HEY! OUR PIC IS THERE!)

11:30 am, A HUGE tour of Italian and Spanish speaking tourists get stuck outside the legislative building for some reason, and (possibly to kill some time) the tour guide relays and translates in both ITALIAN and SPANISH, the story of Covert Mind control as dictated by Galina. The group is sympathetic and interested (until they get to go in..lol)

Nothing too interesting happens after that for a couple of hours, we get a
number of people stopping and asking about our situation -- some stopping for longer than others ... needless to say, we only have ONE letter left when we spot the CBC vehicle in the parking lot!

1:00 pm Media Trucks start arriving -- our hearts are in our throats as we feel as if they may intend to interview us! Acutally, the set up is for speaker Dan McTeague to present his speech on the treatment of Omar Kadhr at Guantanamo Bay!

2:30 Dan McTeague shows up to do his interview. About half an hour of talking on Dan's part -- the issue with Quantanamo Bay is loosely connected to OUR issue ... the underlying facts being that PEOPLE ARE BEING TORTURED WITHOUT MERCY/JUSTICE/ ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS!

Once the shoot was over, Mr. McTeague came over and shook all our hands, talked with us for a bit, gave us his card and told us "You sure got THEIR attention"(possibly meaning the media - I mean, is it coincidence that a talk on a HUMAN RIGHTS TORTURE ISSUES by a prominent M.P. is scheduled on the SAME DAY as our protest? I think NOT!

Anyhow, he said we should contact him if we need anything...we already got a very good thing from him, we got a confidence boost like you wouldn't believe!

And so, our first protest day came to a close. Sunburned, but happy, we took a walk to the subway, and went on our way.

I would say it was a VERY successful day, no one was disrespectful to us, we got a good deal of attention, learned a lot about what to do better NEXT TIME -- and ALMOST got on TV ... lol!

Most of all we learned that FEAR is THEIR greatest weapon ... none of what we feared came about.

The perps will keep on doing what they do no matter what we do...being afraid only helps their cause so...we may as well make some noise 'cause they ain't going away by themselves.

I feel our Victoria protest was a success. We had 5 people present at the
protest: Keith Tickleback from Nelson BC, Consuelo Galomar from Vernon BC, David Smith from Grabriola, Heather Quinn from Victoria BC and me Debbie Newhook. We had one protester from Nanaimo, Doug (Jerry) Rose who could not make the protest as he reported he was feeling horrible the night before the protest and he did not think he would be able to make it.

As soon as we arrived at the protest location we were greeted by a University of Victoria student who wanted an interview with us. David and I spent 30 mins with her speaking about this crime. We gave her hand out material which included FFCHS material along with a Jim Guest letter of support. In addition we suggest that she research James Walbert and directed her to an article in Wired Magazine about James Walbert. She was genuinely interested and shocked at many of the details about this crime.

During the time David and I were being interviewed, the police arrived. Consuelo spoke to the friendly police officer and was told that the police got 2 telephone calls indicating that we were obstructing the sidewalk traffic. Upon his arrival he saw that we were only a small group and that we were not blocking the sidewalk traffic and asked that we continue to allow the flow of pedestrians and not to interfere with them.

Keith was our camera person and did take still pics only of the event and did capture a picture of the police as he was talking to Consuelo.

Later I was approached by woman who knew she was a target of this crime. She knew much about the goings on of the world and she expressed that she was a whistle blower. David and I could tell that she was genuine and she was fearful.I gave her my contact info.

We had many other people briefly speak to us about this crime and did take hand out material.The area of the protest was a very busy location in Victoria and we all thought it was a success.

After about 2.5 hours we had given away about 400 fliers and we were almost out of hand out material when the skies opened up and it began to rain very hard. We called it quits at that time and went back to Heathers house for a chat and a meal.

In my opinion, I thought this was good activism day. David and I later talked about doing this in Nanaimo at a later date and discussed the date of Dec 10 as it was the UN day of Human Rights. http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/

For all of you on the other side of the Atlantic who would like to know what happened at the Trafalgar Square protest. I received a voicemail from Winston at about 2pm London time, saying that at that point there were 5 people present at the protest, but that they were expecting a few more to attend later. I believe that besides Winston, John Allman and Amanda Palmer were there, as Winston used Amanda's mobile to ring me and John told me of his intention to attend the night before. If people [took] any picture of the event and feel able to share them, I really look forward to seeing them.

[Here's] a short message [Winston] sent me...

"There were 8 of us in the end - we handed out flyers in Trafalgar square and outside the Old Bailey. It was good to meet other T.I.s. We are going to try to set up regular meetings of T.I.s in London."

I may try to do something similar in London on the 24th at two very important events happening on the same day, the annual Anarchist Bookfair and a national Anti-War demo starting in Hyde Park, it will be actually very easy to leaflet there because there are already hundred of different people, leafleting on behalf of hundred different causes, I mean I will probably end up going there by myself, but I would certainly not mind if other London TIs were to decide to join me.

“I was always impressed by the stories a dear friend had told me about his experience working on the Bobby Kennedy presidential campaign, which led me to volunteering for Obama for America last year."

If you have not been reading all of my blogs this may be hard to follow. This is a message on how Evil, the negative force, the force that controls the men I use to work for in Tallahassee, this blog tell how they used codes to send me messages. This tells how my former friends and family members were manipulated and persuaded by, the evil powers that be, into providing information about me to be used against me in order to intimidate me into being friends with the “new”, the “Evil”. The “new” people are insecure and only want friends they can control so they felt by digging into my past and then indirectly showing me they did so, I was suppose to be so insecure and so dumb that I was suppose to turn my back against family and friends that gave them the information and then turn to them (the new) to protect me against those who they turned against me. Makes no sense, I know.

Evil is so nasty, he (the nasty men) they went into my past. Watched my former friends watched them carefully to see their needs. They, like a nasty Beast from the wild he mounted and launch on his prey, my former friends. Smiling with that Evil white grin saying “Hey looks like you got some things in your life that I can help make better “clear up”.With his sly snakelike grin, he says but you must in turn do something for me; I will give you a new computer, pay off some bills, send you on a trip, fix your car, buy you a house, and I will gladly give you money to support your habit. Cause I want to kill all of you and people like you off. You must first do this one thing for me tell me all you can about her. I want her to control her, make her my concubine I want her to run to me for her needs. Please don’t let her know she must never know and I will continue to take care of you”. Evil will keep dibs on her,( me) just to make sure she isn’t receiving help from Good. Evil will tempt her. Sends things her way to “bring her down to nothingness” just for control. Evil isn’t as bright or clever as he think he is.

See Evil is going to make me get a lawsuit. Evil uses me as his prey, sending messages via his army to tell me all the things he is doing for them and to me, I am not interested.One day while riding with my Boss at the Real Estate company, a truck pulled in front of us and he pointed out the license plate it read "WillKillYA" it was an indirect threat to me and also a message to the people in Leon county that Wakulla county "WillKillYa". Still didn't scare me. This is what happened to me while traveling back to Charlotte after leaving Tallahassee. I learned that evil has to plan things out I went to get gas at the gas station on pump 4 which coincidentally froze up. So the oblivious gas attendant tells me to move to another pump. And every pump I went to coincidentally a car pulled up to each vacant pump except for the one directly behind the park cars whose tags I was suppose to read. Evil was trying to send me a message via the letters on the car tags, yes people even the none personalized car tags send messages. For example, (MVS 7641) the message from the powers that be says: We are envious (MVS) then 76 is my year of birth and the 41 means I am only (for one) not trying to appease them, like they felt I should have been. Not to mention the gas attendant’s last words to me were “wherever you go I will follow”. Just like some psychotic stalker BS. I know it sounds crazy but that is exactly what Evil is crazy.

This is just a small example of Evil does only because he wants to keep two black people from being together. His objective was to control, see while working in the IT company for the small time I worked there they (MENagement) were watching my computer seeing what sites I frequented this I read about. Watched my IM seeing what information they could get to intimidate and use against me to try to get me to return once I quit the company due to their harassment. I remember one day I was sitting at my desk and updated my facebook status to “is at work, frrreeezzzing”. I didn’t say a word to any of the people in the office. Here comes the COO saying “all you have to do is turn the thermostat down”. Now how did he know I was cold. I never verbally said anything to ANYBODY. On another occasion I put a picture of President Barack Obama as my screen saver I started getting indirect messages saying “don’t put things on your screen that could be offensive to others”. How is the picture of the President of the United States offensive?

I took the skin tone test and this is my response to my results. People the message is so clear everything in the world is set up to make that negative force seem positive.

I took the skin tone test. My results were accurate it states I didn’t have a preference between the two light or dark skinned people. Which is true. Now had I tried to be Mrs. Speedy Gonzalez and not paid attention to the directions the results would have been different. Which is the point of the game. Its set up to make light seem right and dark seems bad, its a mind game. That’s why the directions state to go as fast as you can (programming the mind). In the first half of the test there are two categories a Portrait of a light skinned person on the right and a portrait of a dark skinned person on the left then other portraits of people either light or dark skinned flash across the screen and with your finger on the ‘E’ and ‘I’ pictures are to be place under the light skinned or dark skinned category. Then there is the good and bad category in the first part good is on the left and bad is on the right. Then words are presented to be place in either the good or bad categories words like nasty, awful, hurt are place in the bad category and words like glorious etc goes under good. Then for the third round of the first half there are both pictures and words, to the left there the portrait of the light skinned person with the word good under neath and then to the right portrait of the dark skinned person with the word bad underneath. During this part both words and portraits come up light skinned portraits and the good words go under the same category while dark skinned and bad words fall under the same category.

Now to make it fair there is a part two in which the roles are reversed repeating the same tasks as listed in the above paragraph only this time good is dark and bad is light . But if you go fast without thinking and let the time limit control you; you are going to make dark look just as bad as it did in the first half. Then when you read the results you are going to be programmed into thinking you prefer one color over the other and based on how the game is set up your preference would be light. That’s the object of the game. And its sad these results determine statistical information that is recorded in books that our children are taught from in school.

Prejudices could be measure in classed like this. People could write about the prejudgments if any. We should learn to measure reality with what is real based on true testimonies not some bias mind control scheme made to support theories and stereotypes.

Muslims, Arabs and Orientalism: We're Confused! By Cristina Hamilton

The difference between Muslims and Arabs; Muslims are a group of people who live by and teach the practices of the nation of Islam, a religious group with strong cultural beliefs, Arabs are a diverse group of people who migrated from Arabian countries, Schaefer, R, T. (2006). I think the confusion with the two are the looks, what the texts calls a blended identity (characteristic of Orientalism) many Muslim women because of their beliefs were clothing that covers their bodies the same as women in the Arab world. Muslim men wear kufis and long beards while Arabian men wear turbans and have facial hair as well. So this is where Orientalism came in to play. Since the physical aspect of both minority groups have not changed over time both minority groups have been categorized and labeled (those who will not conform).

Characteristics of Orientalism according to Schaefer, mosques, the temples in which Muslims worship "do not represent religious freedom and diversity" so basically because these people who will not conform to "modern Westernize" practices such as Christianity they will not be respected by many in the United States. While Christians and Muslims have similar religious views Christians are respected in the United States because they are the religious group that's willing to change it views are the world and technology changes. While Muslims stick to their original plan, another characteristic of Orientalism.

After 911 many laws were past to "hype up" security in the "homeland" however the targets were the Muslim and Arabs. Many of the security stipulations and red flags came about after research was conducted on how Muslims and Arabs purchased tickets, days they traveled and things they carried on the aircraft etc. So if any other group of people followed that same pattern a red flag would be raised and they have to go through the scrutinizing behaviors practiced by airport security just to help create that we are not targeting a specific group facade anybody can be searched. That was not the case.

Things that can be done to promote tolerance and reduce prejudice is education. Why is that Americans paint this picture for immigrant to migrate to the United State and live and be free in the land of opportunity. Then when those people get here we expect them to change and conform to the American ways and behaviors. Many do lose their culture because they want to fit in and many are intimidated into conforming. For those who don't we place them in categories and then ask for solutions on how we can make it better. Sounds like the answer is right there before our eyes. Stop pressuring people to change and learn to accept them and their culture or find somewhere else to live.

In reacting to the news this morning that he had won the Nobel Peace Prize, the President struck a note of humility and recognized that the award was a nod to a vision of what is to come:

I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear: I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nationsTo be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize -- men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.

But I also know that this prize reflects the kind of world that those men and women, and all Americans, want to build -- a world that gives life to the promise of our founding documents. And I know that throughout history, the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it's also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes. And that is why I will accept this award as a call to action -- a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century.

I watched on TV today how many families are suffering in the Philippines as result of floods. Many have been evacuated and driven from their homes. However many are still standing and fighting through polluted waters that are filled with germs , bacteria and are causing man especially children to get sick. What can we do to help? Personally I don't have monetary donations but I can lead a hand inform those who can. As we know there are people suffering all over the world however in times like these we need to come together and lend a helping hand.

I was laying in bed thinking about my life and my son and something told me to get up and share this.
I entitled it why did he run away. I was thinking about my son and like a lot of other sons and daughters out there that have no Fathers in the home. I asked myself like I would guess many mothers would. "why did he run away?". And instantly my mind took me back to slavery and I know these words may be harsh but its truth. We "people of color, or negroes" were taught that we were not suppose to have family. We were taught to be servants nothing more or nothing less.

I am reminded of a conversation I had with an older gentlemen in Salt Lake City Utah. The gentlemen asked me why was I there (in Salt Lake City). I began to tell him I was there for flight attendant training and gave a little more information about myself and the experiences of being a single parent. The Gentlemen was a white man in his 70's. He then asked what were my goals in life. I told him I wanted to learn as much as i can about my people "African Americans". He then said "why, they were meant to be servants nothing more or nothing less". I was pissed I think my face turned red. He then went on to say how he was against segregation and how he didn't want his kids going to school with black kids because they were having sex, doing drugs and etc. Well he was originally from Texas, a military man.

I went on to tell him and the other gentlemen at the table my experiences as a teenager. I grew up in the eighties in Miami, Florida went to elementary school with nothing but black kids was introduced to white kids when our school went on field trips to other schools. And how I felt I was inferior. Once I entered what we called junior high that's when I made my first white friend saw kids smoking cigarettes, talking about sex (I mean actually talking about how they had sex, not lying about having sex, Like my friends and I were). I then said things like sex drugs and welfare have no respect of person. I told the man African Americans are not the only ones who struggle with those issues. It was happening like that in his day and its the same today. We became good friends after that day. It just amazed me that to know that someone actually thought black people or were meant to be servants.(I just want to point out after getting to know that Gentlemen, throughout my stay in Salt Lake City, he became one my closest friends we would have dinner together and he taught a lot about history, the wars, it was quite interesting.)

Sorry Back too Why He ran Away: Fathers and mothers were taken from there homes never to been seen again. To keep the black family broken. And this fear has been embedded in some of our subconscious minds to keep that unforeseen nightmare alive. So its not totally His fault ladies. There's many things that's still exist in our culture from slavery. Both positive and negative. Story telling, "Ebonics" just the African dialect from slavery, the broken English we speak because our ancestors were not allowed to speak their true languages from the African Cultures. However I say all of that to say this its a new day people. Change starts within and please know that the mental slavery that exist in "our people": When I say our people I am not speaking of the African American culture alone. I mean people who suffer from poverty, broken homes, mental abuse, mental oppression any behavior placed on a person to keep them down. Obama has proved it change is here. There is no need to run no matter what it looks like on the outside. We have the power to change every negative into a positive. We must forgive. Fear is powerful only if you let it control you. I want to take this time to thank those "acting fathers" in my son's life. The Teachers, Coaches, Principals, Mentors, Friends I thank you for taking up your brother's slack. United we stand people. Change isn't coming: ITS HERE!

The proportion of African Americans in the community does not equal those in political offices. Reason being many are not informed. I do believe that it is some people's job to ensure they aren't informed. I volunteer for a campaign here in Charlotte, NC the candidate I am volunteering for name is Anthony Foxx he is African American, he is from Charlotte he graduated from a predominantly African American high school here in Charlotte and he is running for mayor. When I go out in public I tell people vote for Anthony Foxx most times the response is "who?" many don't know who he is. Why is this I wonder? People just are not informed in certain communities nor do they take the time to research or many don't really want to hear unless they are interested in something I have to offer. I also find that many don't care and I am becoming one of those. I was promoting this bank here in Charlotte for a community reinvestment that a Warren Ballentine “the people's attorney” is sponsoring, hosting etc. Many people don't even know who the gentlemen promoting the community reinvestment which is so strange because this man is on the radio EVERYDAY right before the Al Sharpton show. Well the bank here in Charlotte which is African American owned used me. They interviewed me for a teller position basically told me I got the job but never followed up with me, but during the interview the Vice President told me she admired that I told her how I was spreading the word. She (the vice president) of the bank gave me her business cards, and some material to pass out for the community reinvestment. She just wanted me use me to get her name out there because her and her staff are afraid to go out into the community. Today I went in and closed my account and will no longer be promoting this bank for the reinvestment. I am really ready to give up. I hate that I moved to Tallahassee, those people there are hateful criminals who have made nothing but trouble for me. The same things they did to me there are happening here, my son is still being harassed I am being used and no one is doing anything about it but lying and saying they know nothing about it. They make me view the world in a different light and its not the world its them causing problems. Spreading lies and telling people “hey call Cristina she will do it for free and then you can make her look like a fool once you prosper from her work. Sad thing is a guy that worked for the IT company warned me they would do this to me but he won't tell the police the truth, out of fear they will do the same things to him and his family, so he is helping them make me look like the crazy person.

Conspiracy Theories: This is my response to a question my Ethics Professor asks after I posted the response above to another student.

She asked our comments and thoughts regarding the "crack down" where President Bush's penalty for possession of one crack rock was automatic 10 years incarceration. When during the 1980's in the Reagan "era" crack rock was introduced to the streets and became a nation wide epidemic portraying a negative image for African Americans who most affected by this drug. This came about during a time where African Americans were trying to make a change in the right direction, Mayor Marion Barry had created thousands of jobs and started cleaning up neighborhoods in D.C. which created change in other major cities across the nation. Then crack cocaine hit the streets, crime rates increased, babies were born addicted to narcotic, again affecting the African American community nationwide. Many "drug dealers" help to destroy neighborhoods by selling and distributing the product to African Americans and manipulating youth with flashy clothes and cars also help build certain communities by donating to churches and creating youth organizations and sponsoring community events. These were the same behaviors and mindset this country was built upon. Though the crack epidemic destroyed lots of communities it also demonstrated and proves that African Americans had intellect and wasn't going to allow the drug to completely wipe out the African American communities. So the government had to step and created penalties such as President's Bush "crack down". They indirectly tell the African American community "we going to destroy you one way or the other" and why?

In the case with Marion Barry it was about conspiracy, finding a weakness, Mandie, believe it or not there are people whose job it is to observe one who may pose a threat. Marion Barry posed a threat to certain people in the government he was, just like Martin Luther King and many other leaders before him giving the African American Communities hope, providing opportunities and empowering, this is too much. Therefore, someone had to find away to bring him down. Thus tainting his "image" however it didn't matter to the African American community because those who understood still chose to elect him again. Why? Because he could relate to the struggles of the African American community.

My personal worldview would be comparable to the deep ecology worldview. I believe that all life forms have a purpose and should be respected. We need trees and plants they provide oxygen, the flowers make our planet beautiful, fish, fruits and vegetables provide our nourishment. Therefore we should learn to preserve these resources and not destroy them for personal gain.

Poverty would be minimal and possibly cease to exist if we all embraced or accepted similar viewpoints such as those principles of the deep ecology worldview. War would not exist because we would value our lives and the lives of others. Would not be afraid of one another and wouldn't be so quick to judge another based on stereotypes.

Violence is not the answer is what we are taught, yet our country goes to war over oil, religion and revenue. Then sell guns and import drugs to be distributed in certain parts of the world to keep people at war within their countries, cities and communities. Feed the hungry children in a country that once was known for its riches and natural resources. But since we live in a world where specific groups of people feel that programming individuals into believing that certain nations have to depend on others for food, clothes and other resources. However if we paid attention to the labels on some of the items we purchased in stores; we'd see that many of these items are made in those "poverty stricken" countries. We would then ask ourselves, why can't they feed themselves? Why is the poverty rate so high when, we, a nation of riches import goods from this place. Then considering the price you paid for the item you purchased, made in the "poverty stricken" country, one has no choice but to wonder where is the money going. This is an example of the western worldview from my perspective. A viewpoint in which the rich stay rich while ensuring the poor remain poor.

There are many countries that once were known for their natural resources and in many cases are not as bad off as our media makes it seems. When the objective is to create an illusion many things that are realistic are omitted for the report. Now Cuba for instance, why is it American planes only fly there from certain parts of the country; I think at one time the only way to get to Cuba was flying out of Mexico. Then during the Bush administration's hunt for Bin Laden he got side tracked and decided to go after Saddam Hussien who was guilty of what? Distributing goods through out the country as he felt best met the needs of it's citizens. Some may call this Communism but think about it when a country such as the United States can control the goods imported into this country, we limit the goods by placing taxes embargoes and anything we can to make it harder for Cuba but make it easier for the powers that be to get richer. Their Leader has no choice but to seem like a communist but what about positive things he has done such as grant asylum to an American refugee who was falsely imprisoned in the United States.

Why is that we pay so much attention to which country is the richest, smartest or has the most updated technological resources? To me making material things, such as money and technology the driving force behind a country those countries results in higher waste and overcrowding statistics. Seems as if its a game of competition to see which country can come out on top, whose going to be the richest while we see others in need of our help. Yet we fund wars to help destroy those countries, we cut very important budgets such as education and healthcare then produce commercials saying go green, recycle and save the planet. Meanwhile our homeless, dropout and inadequate healthcare rates are skyrocketing. This doesn't seem to make to make a difference to those policy makers and the powers that be because those numbers have no direct affect on them. So in order to keep it that way the policy makers and powers that be create illusions telling people to send money and help us help them. For as long as we have been "helping" other countries one would think by now there would be results and changes made. However I am still seeing that things remain the same in continents like Africa as they were back in the eighties when the nation was promoting "USA for Africa". The criteria for a healthy environment is simple, stop creating illusions to distract the people and actually do what you say you will in order to help and lets starting seeing effective changes being made. It's just that simple.

I believe if we all took the time to pay attention to the products we buy and try just as hard not to waste, the world would be a cleaner place. However its take more than cleaning up the surface to make the world a better place. We all need to do some cleaning on the inside, cleaning our thought processes, instead of focusing on issues in other nations perhaps we should clean our house. We have children and families living in poverty right here in the United States , yet we show infomercial asking American Citizens to send money to feed other nations. Are those nations showing commercials on targeted networks asking their citizens to send money to feed our hungry children? I don't think so because the "powers that be" here in the USA have a reputation to uphold. They would never ask for handouts instead they'd rather brainwash individuals into believing these nations are so dependent upon the United States.

I also believe that if the world is a place of growth and with growth there must be change. I have no issues with budget cuts but education and healthcare should be at the bottom of the list. Cutting school bus routes just makes it harder for some kids to get to school which in some cases this may be the intent. Emailing bills just makes it easier for the powers that be to monitor whose doing what. They just make it look good on paper as with all other things. We need to focus on adding to the educational and healthcare budgets. Companies should find ways to get there employees to work for example providing a shuttle service just like schools provide for students. But then who would get to see Johnny driving his new BMW because America is all about image. We cut budgets for education and healthcare but yet we can send billions of dollars to fund a war that we have no idea why we are still fighting it.

Environmental sustainability is the preserving of the environment and its resources. Three things I do that may threaten environmental sustainability are not using energy saving light bulbs, I notice another classmate that says she sends her old magazines to the local library for resale, I don't recycle magazine and I sometimes through peppermints wrappers in the ground.

Today my mom and I purchased energy saver light bulbs and I am going to start sending my old magazines to the local library if I have that option here in Charlotte. I am also going to be more attentive when eating peppermints and through the wrappers in the trash can as oppose to littering.

I guess I might be included in that generation you mentioned because couldn't imagine life without A/C or electricity. I do have a story that has made me learn to appreciate the environment,s natural resources. I grew up in Miami, Fl. I remember Hurricane Andrew came the end of summer '93 just before I began my twelfth grade year. Though I had lived through various hurricane warnings and many tropical storms, we never really took it that serious when there was a Hurricane watch in Miami. Mainly because none had cause much damage.

I remember this day all to clearly we were driving back to Miami from New York, yes I said driving. We had to make a stop in Central Florida to pick up my father. When we got back on I-95 we noticed we were the only car traveling south toward Miami. We looked over to the opposite side cars were backed up for miles. My Dad finally said Oh yea I forgot to mention the Weather Man has reported a Hurricane warning for Miami and some parts have been evacuated. We all just kind of looked at him with a stare similar to the one Scooby gives to Shaggy when he doesn't want to be the first to walk into the room where he knows the monster is lurking and waiting. We had come to far to turn back and we weren't sure if we should continue towards home because who knows if our area was one that had been evacuated.

We continued home the weather was nice at that time and we hoped that maybe this was another false alarm. When we arrived our neighbors had secured our windows in the front of the house and came to help secure the rear ones. They told us that it was for sure that the Hurricane was headed our way. We all went out to the grocery stores searching for Hurricane supplies: bread, batteries, flashlights, and water. Those few items were hard to find many people had come before us and bought up everything. What we couldn't find in the store or have at home the neighbors supplied it for us.

Later that night the Hurricane Andrew hit and wiped most of South Miami out. We lived on the North side our damages weren't too bad. We were without electricity and missing a few shingles from the roof. I remember driving around on the streets the National Guard was posted on nearly every corner we were on a curfew because once the sun set, there was a blank of darkness that covered the city that caused it to disappear until the next sunrise. Neighborhoods that once were filled with nicely landscaped yards and homes now look like a war zone, many homes had no roofs, some were torn down completely I felt like a visitor in a foreign land.

I remember our nights being so hot, but we made it through. We sat up talking most of the night. During the day everyone would sit outside and cook out and drink water and if we could find ice and sodas we were lucky. We were without electricity for seven days. I remember bathing in cold showers because there was no hot water. Those times really made me appreciate electricity, hot water and the GRILL. Most importantly that natural disaster caused us to depend on Natural Resources we took for granted before, it even brought my family closer together.

After reading up on murders of children that happened in the past two weeks alone, I am wondering how can we change this. I got several Tweets and updates from Kandi former member of the female singing group Escape. Her family has been hit with a tragedy that may have been intentional not to mention she is also remembering her brother who she lost in high school.

I got a call this morning from Phillip O'Barry Academy just as I was leaving to take my son to school and the other end the recording said "hi parents we are calling to inform you of a death of one our students" this young man died Friday 10/2/2009 due to complications from an enlarged heart, he was on the wrestling team and an honor student. My, I send his parents my condolences.

What can we do? Just recently a man was charged right here in North Carolina for kidnapping and molesting his two adopted daughters one of which was pregnant. What can we do people? Our community needs attention, our children are crying out for our affection. Then almost two weeks ago a pregnant fifteen year old was shot and killed at the bus stop waiting to go to school. Now she is gone her child left with no mother. People we got to make some major adjustments.

I think about the mother of the Chicago honor student, Kevin Miller, who was beaten and killed by four other teens and we still don't know or understand the motive. Why are our children so angry? Then just yesterday a 13 year old was shot and killed at a car wash in Queens, NY. He was also a honor student, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now he is gone, another statistic that won't make to see 25. What can we do people? As parents, friends, teachers, mentors. We have to find a solution. We are losing our children at alarming rates, and the world just continues to move as if there is nothing wrong. Our current condition needs serious recognition.

In God We Trust! Bring him back into our schools. Allow our children to pray. Teach our children to befriend one another, teach our children to look out for one another. Change starts from within our children micmic what they see on TV, hear on the radio and what they learn at home and in school. We have the power to change this people. I challenge you all to promote positive change! Starting today!!

Minorities go to school for an education while white men go to school to become stalkers. Yes they are the original abusers and misusers. Let me tell you about my experience. I remember as a young child my grandmother was a single woman I would spend some nights at her house during the week and on the weekend and every morning some white man would call her house phone I think he was trying to keep track of her. My mother worked for an engineering company she was married to my Dad but this white man she worked with had an obsession for her. He was married but that didn't matter he set up to have his wife murdered in hopes that my mother would leave my father for him. This all took place in Florida. See the pattern forming here?

Let me tell about my experience. I didn't start going to school with white kids until around 7th grade. They seemed to be pretty cool many of the white girls wanted to be friends with black girls but their dads forbade it. Why? I dunno when they admired them so. But that's their secret they put up facades, they are the King of facades. Let's fast forward to my most recent experiences and how they stalk and use others to keep up with me.

I go work for this company the owner of the company became my first stalker then all the rest of the white men starting helping him out. They misuse and hid behind the women in the company we are not the one's that cause drama people I want you to know this. Something is definitely wrong with the MEN in Florida people and the women are so insecure that fall for anything. However I want you to know that white men have a thing for black women and they will lie on us telling their friends that we have a things for them. I am going to throw up just thinking about it. (gag) They are childish, conniving, vindictive, manipulators who can not be trusted. Back to the owner developer of the first company I worked for in Tallahassee, Fl. After leaving the company because I was on the verge obtaining a gun permit and ending a few lives. This man threatened me told me I was going to have problems for some strange reason I think he thought I feared white men, because the can cause problems in you life if you allow them. Man I told him "brang it" you dunno who you messing with. he would tell me from time to time how much a bad, stupid, and dirty old man man he was some how he thought I was reading between the lines. This is why I left your company stupid! I must say this I did mention before this man is intimidated by black men so he made sure he set my mother's fiance up and have him arrested before playing his games. His is still in jail to this date and no one knows the charges, yet he sends people to our house to try to persuade my mother into spending money we don't have to get him out of jail he has been in jail for almost 3 years the equivalent to my time spent in Tallahassee.

Well my mother went to work for his wife taking care of his mother in law. His wife would tell mother how he couldn't sleep at night because he was so worried about whether or not I had a job. I told my mom he is so worried because once I get a job he goes out of his way to manipulate people into thinking I am a bad person and then use them to harass me. She said oh really. She then sat back and out on her observation cap. When he wife would go out of town and my mom would come to work at his house caring for the mother in law he would have the lady that she was relieving to stick around for a while to talk to my mom while he sat in a near by room eaves dropping on their conversations she would talk about her daughter, trying to engage my mother into talking about me so he'd know my whereabouts. Then when the (informant) got ready to leave he would walk out with her and leave too this was to make his neighbors think he was having a good time with my mother and the informant two black women. When I worked with him he would talk about how black women would throw themselves at him and I was almost throw up looking at him like " you really think I believe that?" The only people that believed his lies were the people he had working for him and the ones he manipulated oh yea and he believe his own lies obviously.

To be continued... I got to take a break but Imma tell you how the white men at my son's school in Tallahassee used my son as a tool to keep track of me and now the principal at his school now is doing the same thing. Also I will tell you how the guys at an IT company used the computer to keep track of me Guess what they all have in common. They are white.

So on to the IT company seems they were watching my computer before I even applied for the job is my theory. But because of the connections in Tallahassee and the Owner Developer of the real estate's company obsession to keep track of me he either had them hire me so that he could follow me or one of the other stalkers in his company did. Well this company as you hacked my myspace, hacked my yahoo instant messaging account, then use my old friends to get information about that they would then use later to try to make me go crazy or to have me come running back to them like ignorant fool. Just want to say this when you work for a company of normal people then go work for a company like Inspired Technologies or Century 21 First Realty Tallahassee that are full of nasty perverted white men you know when to walk out and look for something better and NEVER turn back. They are the only one who think that their companies are the only companies that exist in the US, give me a freaking break you educated idiots. Something tells me these men were friends with Jeb and George Bush when they were in office. Just by the blatant racism against black men and the obsession with black women and the tendency to manipulate their wives and girlfriends. They are smart in their own minds.

I am a big fan of keeping up with the Kardashians. Tonight's episode struck me in so many ways. Khloe was having issues with her weight and of course the jealous and envious people who have nothing to do but hide behind their insults on the internet, said some pretty hurtful things in a blog. Well Khloe received a call from PETA to do an nude ad protesting fur. Khloe was a bit apprehensive about doing the ad because she was having weight issues. So sad that in this world we live in "we compare ourselves amongst ourselves". Which keeps us always trying to fit into a standard. Well at least what society considers "the standard" Khloe is always being compare to her sisters Kim and Kourtney which is so not fair because each of them are beautiful in their own way.

So Khloe goes and speaks with Bruce Jenner her stepfather. Seeking advice when she told him about the ad. He responded by saying "that's good but don't you think you should lose a few pounds". Typical thing for a rich insensitive white man to say. Then they wonder why their wives seeks attention else where . I will tell you why, some of you with money think that you can speak to people any way no matter who it i: family, the fake friends you have and the slaves you hire to work for you. But instead of congradulating her, he insulted her. Then he went on to say after she had explained to him how she was offended by his comment. He said "is that why you wear black", Khloe's response was "I am wearing black because I am depressed." Say What!!!!

See people where did we get this misconception that the color black represents oppression, depression and sadness. Our country's colors are red, white and blue. Now lets break that down red well that represents the blood that was shed to create "one nation under God" but whose blood was it? Who was that actually fought. Hmmm? Then there's white (well we all know what that suppose to represent) pure, cleanliness and honesty (mhmmm) and then there's blue. Blue represents the actual things this country was founded on (the pain, the deceit, the lies and the trickery) the trickery bestowed upon the enslaved. When I speak of the enslaved I must make it clear I am not speaking only of black people. (The fungus has spread) To me the color blue represents the oppression, sadness, and fear. People black represents change. Things to come that we all struggled and worked so hard for. When I say "we" I mean those who understand what it means to fight the good fight and stay strong.

So people get it out of your minds that black is a color of depression and oppression. It is time for change. Trust me everybody can't be saved. But those of you who can. Let's make it happen. "Animal conditioning to keep me as your slave! I get out!" Thanks Lauryn.

Family Friends Coworkers = Foes By Cristina Hamilton

Now if you have been reading my other blogs you will know that in the past three years I have come across some jealous and deceitful individuals who came together and conspired to bring me down by any means necessary . Who for no apparent reason hated me and they, if asked, could not give a valid reason why. They didn't and still don't know me. They'd probably say something like she was always smiling, often complimented others, seems very passionate and caring when it came to others. However since I was not miserable, serious and and never cracked a smile like them something had to be wrong with me. I, whose older and have more experience in the world than these sheltered, insecure, idle-minded beings who have no purpose. But since they came from what they considered educated backgrounds and had recently graduated college that automatically gave them a place above those who aren't college graduates. ( The statement I just made is a theory based on observation).

While working with these people they would watch my computer and what ever I'd do so closely that they tried to duplicate it. The women started dressing like me, some would ask where I shopped and go out buy an outfit identical to mine and wear it to work the next day and say "I am sure yours is smaller"... I'd stand there with a look of confusion on my face like, how do I respond to that. But yet they claimed I was weird. I wasn't concerned with where anybody shopped, what they did during, before and after work, nor was I concerned with who they were doing it with. Then men would call me desk and when I answered the phone they'd say things like " hey, babe"...Or they'd have people call my desk for them just so I'd would have a reason to come and speak to them. And again I say, I was suppose to be the crazy one?They annoyed me so I had not other choice but to quit. Telling management didn't work because manage was controlling the employees having them do things to me just so I would come and speak to him.

Well, while being scrutinized by the "normal" educated folk in Tallahassee. They discovered I have a sincere and passionate love for my family and friends. And because they are so smart they concluded that these people must be the root of my happiness. For they could not understand why I didn't take things are serious, stayed relaxed and never let them get to me. While their thought processes, insensitive values and empty morals help create their world of meaningless facts and demented intentions. So they sought out to divide and conquer (the same plan used to build this country), with that being said I am sure we all can conclude what type of people I was dealing with here. I like to call them "habitual line-crossers without a purpose". After having my neighbors watch me, calling my house to verify whether I was home or not, following me when I'd leave my home, sending people to my home, creating false advertisements on careerbuilder, facebook, radio commercials etc. When none of those attempts worked they took it a step farther. They tried to divide my family and separated me from the majority of my friends believe it not that had people close to me assisting them in their conspiracy.

Lets start with friends. Because the "normal" educated people tapped my phone lines through websites or their connections at the telephone company and they'd watched and hacked my myspace. They began watching the friends I spoke to most, learning their likes, dislikes and weaknesses and began to blackmail their for information and control. They would have my friends call me "to catch up" on things they were going through with jobs, their children or relationships. The ironic catch to this was they were going through the same things I was going through. First it was good things like my son's god mother and her friend were taking a trip to Vegas sponsored by a friend of her friend. I really didn't get into to many details because I didn't care how they were going I was excited for my friend. Glad she was taking a trip and getting out of town. Not aware that this trip was a bonus trip in return the god mother's friend was to provide information about all of my past friends, classmates and family members because she worked for an agency that gave her access to people personal information. And she did it. With her dumb ass. Forgive me for name calling but stupid is as stupid does and what better word than "ass" to describe her and her actions.

Needless to say the Dumb Ass didn't know enough about me so all of her information came from the Mouth of the South I will tell anybody's business cause my thought process had a handicap sticker embedded in it, I am speaking of my son's "former" god mother. As I prepared myself mentally for whatever comes my way I reflected on conversations I had with my ex boss prior to leaving his company. The boss I speak of here is the one I describe in The MindSet of a Modern Day Slave Driver. And how he would tell me how he spent years studying people, then watching how he took advantage of employees and so many others, then recalling him telling me how "if I left his company how much trouble I was going to have. I guess I was suppose to be shaking in my boots. I knew this man was a coward, I observe this on many occasions seeing how he'd do wrong and then nervously come back to his office and hide, ignoring all phone calls. However he thought I was so dumb that I would not know when all the drama was coming from. I'd never been threaten by a boss, never had co worker indirectly make passes at me. Then listening to the stories the women that worked directly with (the African American) ones. I was totally baffled that they didn't understand where their problems came from. None of them had good relationships with their families why because this asshole felt they belong to him and cause problems when they tried to have positive relationships. I wasn't about to let this man come and take away people who took care of me all of my life because he is a psychotic, deranged tyrant who has issues maintaining boss subordinate relationships.

One of the girls who worked closely with him told me how she had to her hair cut short because the person that braided it last did such a poor job she couldn't comb out the tangles when she took the braids out. I sat there looking at her in amazement like and you don't know who is responsible for that. I remember the words coming out of his mouth saying "I'm stupid I cause problems between people because I take things to the extreme". Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. But back to how my friends and some family became foes.

I pause for a few days while writing this and during this time I discovered another "untruth". This just makes me sick to my stomach apparently when it comes to truth the people seek to find the opposite. Something tells me these particular lies came from the man who ran. The man who his responsibility in the "care of" (fill in the blank). The same man who got upset because I refused to allow him to do to me what he's done in the past. The same man who denies the son that he knows he help created. But instead of facing truth and "manning up" he decided to search in my past for lies in order to break me. The world is filled with insecure men. Well somewhere during his quest for lies I am lead to believe that some chic told him she kiss me, or I had a threesome I dunno but based or the texts messages, the visitors and the "skits" performed by the neighbors. Like I say this could be a number of people I make "friends" with anyone. However I've only kissed boys (he included) and now that a man has chosen me. All the little boys are running scared like lost, sick mutts.

This same man who when I told him I was carrying his child responded by saying "get an abortion, I will pay you back when you give me a receipt" I was 18 years old at that time. Then called my Grandmother's house when I was about 6 months pregnant and told her "he had plans for his life that did not involve me and that he never wanted to see my child". I granted him that however after working with the meddling "Boss", Modern Day Slave Driver almost 12 years later I contacted him. This man (my son's father) flew to the city where I lived, he told me he was coming to discuss how we were going to handle our "situation" and once I did not want to sleep with him he told me I was going to have problems and this is what he did.

He threatened to have my son taken from me. Why? when he wanted nothing to do with him and I was not trying to fight him. I just wanted him to know he had a son and move on. But why would he go to that extreme. I wasn't intimidated as he figured I would be. So he then faked the paternity test, that he requested he and my son take. I have the fake results to prove it. When I didn't fight him for that he started sending text messages calling me bitches and hoes etc. When I didn't respond to that he got a fake profile on myspace then he teamed up with the white men and they set out to bring me down with the help of many of my friends and family members.

I told the professor I wasn't going to respond to any of more on this DQ but I must let you know I am not the one that needs counseling. The people who need counseling are those who had negative intentions. Sorry you feel that way regarding black men. Can I ask you thins who is actually leading black men down the wrong path. That's how the powers that be want us to think. We are not putting ourselves in jail. I sat here the other night watching my son chat on myspace and if you read what I wrote about Terrorism and Cyber crimes you'd see that the IT company I work with in Tallahassee commits cyber crimes daily. My son's father was using another little boys account chatting with my son telling him he is going to make sure he goes to jail because he doesn't want to pay child support. However did you know that jails and prisons were built for black men. Also take an assessment of your surroundings please. There is nothing wrong with me, I find that so ironic when sharing my stories people feel that I am the one with the problem. However that just how the world thinks. I am glad there are people out there who have gone through the some of the same things I have and can truly understand on a deeper level. It takes a conscience person to understand it. I want to share this with you and maybe just maybe your perception of black men in America will change.

Let me share this with you. I have a fourteen year old son whose father said he never wanted to see him and I granted him that and decided to raise my child on my own. However, I knew the day would come when my son would want to know who his father is because he needs to know who is he and where he came from. Well I contacted this man who knew eventually I would, thinking I wanted his riches. I wanted nothing from this man. He told me he didn't want to see my son because he felt it would hurt me. I am not hurting at all. So instead of building a relationship with him. He chose to use his connections because he is an assistant principal at an elementary school in Washington D.C. to make sure my son would not succeed. My son has been fighting for a fair chance since I contacted this man almost three years ago. Now tell me do you still think I am the one that needs counseling. Here is another thing I want to share with you regarding Affirmative Action.

Grouping and StereoTypes By Cristina R Hamilton

The differences in placing individuals in groups and placing stereotypes on group is this; people can be grouped together based on similarities. Say for instance, in a work setting there are several individuals who have similar credentials those people may be placed in a group according to those skills because they could work together to accomplish goals pertaining to their credentials and skills. Stereotyping is when judgment is place on groups of people based on their skin color, rumors regarding their race, religion, gender, education etc. Stereotypes are the result of ignorance.

I can use my personal experiences an example. Because I am an African American, single mother I am a victim of stereotypical judgments daily. When I lived in Tallahassee, Fl and because the majority of the educated men had no social experience they were/are easily persuaded by stereotypes and by their actions they believe all stereotypes to be true until proven otherwise. Even after proven them wrong I was still subject to judgement and ridiculed because they were/are to stubborn to admit they were wrong. So instead they chose to test me according to those stereotypes. To see if I stole the place in situations, they asked for rides to check my driving skills, then after knowing that I can drive a standard shift they became even more intimidated, after saying I could speak another language the hid behind instant messages using people to test me. They, out of our fear I'd see through them, used other people to communicate with me thinking I was too dumb to understand or comprehend Standard English. The "They" I speak is a group of men that I work for and with, one of the companies was an IT company management went above and beyond playing silly mind games to let me know they were watching my computer.

I recall one day I was cleaning out a bowl on my desk, I had a fish and a plant in the bowl and it started to smell from the algae that had grown on the plant. In the process of transferring the fish into another bowl some other water spilled on the floor and on my pant leg. I didn't pay attention to my pant leg because I wanted to make sure I cleaned the spill up to keep the office from stinking. Well I cleaned up the spill, cleaned out the bowl and placed the fish and plant into the clean jar fill with clean water. I got distracted completely forgetting about my pant leg and went into one of the ladies in this company office she must have smell the stinky scent on my pant leg cause she looked at me funny I still hadn't given it a second thought. I walked out her office and she immediately closed the door behind me. Still unaware, I think I went into the kitchen (breakroom), I warmed up my lunch and went to my desk and I smelled my stinky pant leg immediately and I thought back at how the woman looked at me and laughed realizing she was thinking I had a hygiene issue. I went and washed the bottom of my pant leg still laughing at how the woman looked at me. When I returned the office the CFO and another male employee were in her office and wanted to talk to me. Because of all the games they had been palying daily, I instantly knew what was about to go down so I went in with a smile on my face. They CFO closed the door behind me. This is where it gets good they started sniffing and acting like they wanted to show me some new things on the computer. Then started saying it stinks then the two men started blaming one another. I just smirked softly to myself knowing they didn't smell what they expected to because I had just cleaned my pant leg. So out of embarrassment I presume the lady opens her office door and says "it smells like a brothel in here". I went back to my seat. Took a moment then went back to her office and said "are you trying to say I smell like a whore". She responded with "you had to take a moment to think about that one huh?" then acted as if it never happened. I took a moment again because I knew had I retaliated I was going to be out numbered they were not on my side and it was blatantly clear. So I let that go and came in the next day thinking its a new day. This same woman walked by my desk saying things like her daughter and son slept in bed together and he's wet the bed at night and they'd both reek of urine. The she said or sometimes her son would wet around the bottom of the toilet and their pants would get wet and reek of urine. She was saying this loud the office is small so she intended for certain people to hear. It didn't stop their here comes the COO pretending to have spilt coffee on his shirt and he was wanting to borrow the heater under my desk. I said yes slid my chair back to allow him access to the heater he reached down making sure he got a good whiff of my scent as he came back up. He was disappointed as well he brought the heater right back. This is where the story gets good so I am sitting at my desk and I get an IM from the HR manager asking me to come help him with something in his office. So I go to see what he was in need of; he was putting a board up in his office and wanted to know if I'd hold it in place while he measured for the holes to drill or hammer. I held the board and while I was holding it up he was sniffing me. I turned to him and looked at him in a look of shock and confusion. Saying to myself these idiots don't know when to stop.

They didn't stop they played game after game after game until I quit the company and then they still continued to harass me.Who would I complain to, there was no effective sexual harassment policy, I reported their actions to the police and more and still no resolution. They felt because I am African American, a single mother I am suppose to be dependent upon them for everything. I worked for this company eight months of my thirty-three years why didn't somebody notice that I was getting along just fine prior to working for their company. I moved to this city to be closer to my grandmother not to be stalked and harassed by ignorant freaks.

Terrorism and cyber crimes in the US have become an increasingly serious concern. With so many individuals having access to the internet and with instructions and recipes for mass destruction being accessible with just a click of a mouse cyber crimes occur daily and many go unsolved because they aren’t being reported. In many instances many individuals don’t realize that have been victimized until long after the crime has been committed. The Patriotic Act in the Fourth Amendment is designed to protect individuals suspected of potential acts of terrorism from illegal search and seizures by law enforcement agencies and government officials.

After the terrorist attacks on 9/11 the National Security Administration authorized random bag and luggage checks in airports with in the United States. Many of the random checks came about if a person paid cash for the ticket, looked at if he/she may have been of Middle Eastern decent or if the traveler’s ticket was one way. Does the fourth amendment protect these individuals? Or is the Patriotic Act set up to protect government officials as a method of C.Y.A. (covering the grounds) when conducting these search and seizures on specific individuals because they fit in the category of terrorists painted by the media. The patriotic act and these cyber crimes is just another way to protect the real terrorists, the United States government, we need protection from our own not those on the outside.

I was employed with an Information Technology company in Tallahassee, Fl they advertised the company was in need of a person with a good phone voice to help around the office, pay $10 hr. I applied, interviewed and got the job. Well the first day of work the person who was training me came with a paper saying they were only going to pay me $8 hr. Then after the first week I noticed the management (the CEO, COO, CFO and other men) beginning to play games and those same men were trying to send indirect signals letting me know they were watching what I did on the computer. Well I worked there for months while they watched who I spoke to on IM, hacked my social network accounts and begin to spread lies to all of friends on those networks using my account. The hacked my instant message accounts and would be talking to me friends while I was off line and doing to say to me using their accounts. Once the harassment because unbearable and I had no one to complain to because of course there was no effective sexual harassment policy the harassment was coming from management and the Human Resources “department”, I quit the company. Only to have them hack my computer at home, crank call my house after getting my credit report, conduct unauthorized background checks, follow me via computer on other jobs, use their connections to have their affiliates hired me only to take advantage of me while others mimicked my work ethic.

I reported this company to the local police there was no investigation, these people continue to stalk me and harass my son, my mother and other members of my family the manipulated, deceived, and bribed people for information about me. Something has to be done because I know for certain I am not the only person this has happened to. I am just one of the few who was able to detect it and share it with the world. Affirmative Action: A Myth of Mental Slavery? Cristina R. Hamilton

Even though affirmative action was designed to eliminate discrimination, affirmative action has become an effective tool in creating opportunities for minorities in Corporate America and in the Higher Education system. For years minorities have struggled for equality and acceptance in the “Land of Opportunity” and for years they have been barriers put in place to keep minorities “in their places”. However, President John F. Kennedy issued an Executive Order which created a Committee of Equal Opportunity in March 1961. This committee was created to “take affirmative action” and oversee federally funded projects that ensured companies hiring and employment practices were free from racial bias (Brunner, Borgna 2007).
For centuries minorities have argued for equal opportunity in education and in Corporate America. Though it has taken time America always seem to come up with and plan to ensure that all of its citizens have equal opportunities and share equal rights. With the number of foreigners making their way into this country yearly and grabbing their piece of the American Pie with minimum complaints from the government, why is it that minorities still complain about inequality? America is no longer a nation of one language; it’s a nation of many languages. So many minorities have opened doors and removed barriers thus creating opportunities in education and equal opportunities in the World of Business. Yet minorities still seem to be unsatisfied.
In the year 2000 Florida passed the “One Florida” the beginning of plan to end affirmative action through out the state, also know as the initiative to education (Kareem, Nedra 2009). Governor Jeb Bush's One Florida initiative prohibited colleges from consider race of applicants in the admissions process (Kareem 2009). Instead colleges are to consider test scores in the application process. The FCAT is a standardize test administered yearly to students in public schools beginning in third grade. This FCAT like many other statewide tests, measures what has been taught through out the year, the student’s ability to comprehend and their ability to use strategies to answer bias questions. In 2003, 12,500 high school seniors in Florida were denied high school diplomas. In the same year in Miami-Dade county, 6,500 students did not pass the FCAT of those 51 percent were Hispanic and 41 percent were African American (Fairtest June 2003). Aren't those the same races that colleges were discriminating against in the application processes? With the majority of the students affected by these standardize statewide test being of a minority ethnic groups, there is no need for colleges to consider race in the application process. These bias and unfair tests results make up for the blatant discrimination that once existed in the colleges admissions process.
Many minority residents throughout the state were disturbed by the statistics and organized a boycott against the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test (FCAT) (Fairtest.org 2003). The number of children failing these tests seems to cause a commotion throughout the state with such high number of high school seniors being denied diplomas and almost 40,000 third graders statewide were threatened with being retained due to FCAT results, in the same year and the numbers seems to increase as time progresses. In his book High-stakes Testing, author Robert Murray Thomas quotes Gov. Jeb Bush in a speech he gave in defense of the FCAT program. During the speech he turns to Sen. Larcenia Bullard, an African American Democrat who was also vice chairwoman of the Senate education committee, and said “To suggest that we have a lower standard or a lower expectation for one group of kids, Larcenia, just doesn’t make sense. I know you understand that” (Thomas p.127). Why couldn’t minorities understand then that Gov. Bush had all students best interest in mind when implementing these standardize testing in Florida? What about the percentage of minorities that past the test, they represent those minorities who will continue to open doors and break down barriers. These few individuals will represent the majority of the minorities; for they have met the “standard” so why is it there are still so many complaints? Why can’t minorities look at the entire picture Gov. Bush appointed a minority to over see the testing program it is set in place to ensure all students will have equal opportunities based on their abilities measured in these standardize testing. Why can’t minorities “understand” that?

Have the chains been removed from the wrist and place on the mind? Many would agree that affirmative action is just a form of mental slavery. Minorities have to realize in order for one to feel totally accepted in the corporate world and the Higher Education society there is a process one must undergo. The standardize test is just an initial step in being accepted. According to Gaines and Miller the group of people that seem to be majorly affected by these test results and theories to support the making up of a criminal; one can only conclude these test are use to determine who will be our future criminals and who will be the future business leaders. Minorities make up more than fifty percent of the prison and jail populations, also theories states that criminals more than likely are the result of low income families, with low intelligence and high levels of testosterone, Gaines and Miller (2005). Fairtest plainly states “Students from low-income and minority-group backgrounds are more likely to be retained in grade, placed in a lower track, or put in special or remedial education programs when it is not necessary”. Is it ever necessary?
Affirmative Action and Corporate America
In the walls of Corporate America minorities are breaking down barriers, making changes and creating more opportunities at an alarming rate. Minorities have come along way since the Civil Rights movement and the government continues to create programs to promote and motivate change. “In 1985 African-Americans made up 12.1 percent of the workforce and held 4.6 percent of managerial positions. In 2003 African-Americans made up 13.8 percent of the workforce and held 6.5 percent of the management jobs” (Associate Press 2005). Look how far they have come over the years and it's a result of America's Affirmative action program, making progress. According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy Affirmative Action is defined as “positive steps taken to increase the representation of women and minorities in areas of employment, education, and business from which they have been historically excluded” (Fullinwider, Robert 2009). History has proven and with the election of the current President Barrack Obama, an African American Democrat, minorities should see that change is coming and minorities will are being accepted as equal and no longer is the a distinct separation among race. Many companies have made major adjustment to rules and guidelines to accommodate minorities. For example, Sharon Nelton states in her article: Meet your new workforce - growth of minorities in the workplace; includes related articles on managing diversity and language policy, she tells us how many companies may institute rules that “favor the traditional white male culture” such as banning corn rows for women of color or setting uniformed dress codes (Nelton, Sharon 1988). She also states that many companies do not promote minorities or women fearing they may be “going out on a limb” by promoting women however there should be no complaints because they hire them (Nelton 1988). So why is still so difficult for minorities to grasp the concept?
What minorities must understand is its time to stop complaining and see the bigger picture by implementing standardized testing in the educational system, by implementing personality tests in the workplace, the government is bringing minorities a step closer to equality. The process is to weed out those individuals whose thought processes do not measure up to the standards. The few of minorities that meet these standards will continue to represent the percentage of educated and working class in America and once the mindset changes so will the standards. This is not an easy process. The tests are administers as a monitoring device that handpicks certain minorities without directly discriminating against a certain group of people. The results speak for themselves. It’s the governments way of saying it’s not our fault we aren’t discriminating these individuals just don’t measure up.
The Constitution of the United States was created stating that all men were created equal long before Affirmative Action was set into place. The Bill of Rights was created in 1789, creating laws for the “equal individuals” to live by. For many years minorities have been fighting for a voice, an equal opportunity and justice. Under the ruling of President John F. Kennedy, the government decided centuries later to create a “Committee” of individuals to protect the rights of those certain individuals who, as interpreted by a document in which this country was founded upon, are considered equal. To kill the dream of equality Governor Jeb Bush prohibits colleges in Florida from considering race in the application process, while administering bias standardize test to students yearly only to have those students, who the colleges were discriminating against, look like failures or not college material. As his bother President George W. Bush enforces the “no child left behind” to pass those kids along in school then force them into society to become criminals. Yes Affirmative Action has come along way and minorities still have a journey ahead of them. Even after this Affirmative Action was been set in place minorities are continuing to fight for the same things they were fighting for prior to the creation of the Committees and programs. So the question at hand is Affirmative Action just a facade to assist in keep minorities in their place by disguising discrimination in Corporate America and in Higher Education?

Tonight I went to Ruby Tuesdays in Charlotte, NC. I haven't been to this specific location in a few years. However, tonight I walked in, greeted by the Greeter, it was almost as if she was expecting me. She had to ensure the gentlemen accompanying me was my son which let's me know the racist had put out the alert that I was on the way. Prior to leaving home I did make a phone call advising the person on the other end where I'd be. If you have read any of the other blogs they are watching, listening and conspiring. See I use to live in an apartment complex near this restaurant almost 6 years ago. At that time the areas was very nice the strip mall where Ruby Tuesdays is located use to be very busy there was a grocery store, stationary store and many other's that keep the parking lots fill with people eager to spend money. Now since the racists infiltrated there has been a drastic change.
When I moved away from Charlotte I went to work for a few racist companies in Tallahassee, Fl who alert the entire force when I left without submitting to their wills. So in order to get me back this group of racists tried to not only destroy me, my family, friends etc. They wanted me to not be able to enjoy the things I once enjoy unless I return to one of those companies and submitted myself to their control.
Well back to Ruby Tuesdays which is now run and operated by racists. The Greeter lead myself and my son to our seat and told us our wait who I will not name because he is innocent and a black man trying to earn his way. So as we sat wait on drinks and food etc. I noticed the seating chart. All of the coloreds, I say coloreds ladies and gentlemen because had you been there you'd would have sworn you had been teleported back in the days of segregation. The coloreds had center and bar seating which place them in clear view of management and the rest of the racist staff. While the whites were all conveniently located in the outer seats near exits just in case anything pops off. Not to mention the wait staff waits on the people, judging by the seating arrangements, management deems they're most comfortable serving. By observing who's serving who I am well aware of the whites who are comfortable with minorities and those who prefer we'd find another place to eat. The manager, whom I noticed walking around never walking through the center of minorities was a tall skinny feller with a "suburban" appeal. The must have picked up on my observation... Just as I was leaving they sat a white man in the bar area. You can't conceal that.

Hello people I am new to this social network. However I am no stranger to the issues our people face and I would like to share some of my story. I was brought up in Miami, Fl. My mother, father and grandmother raised me. I was always told I would be someone special. See as a child I developed an ability to see signs, determine others mood, emotions just by observing them and I always said what I felt. Well almost three years ago I moved to a college town. A town filled with brain washed and controlled minds. I felt like a stranger in my home state. See I went to work for the real estate company upon moving there and that's why my life took a very interesting turn. When I was originally hired with the company my job was to answer phones, send emails, set up appointment etc. basic office duties. The area where I work was in the back of the office a place where you couldn't really see what was going on. I'd notice as days go by some of the realtors would come in the area just to check out the new girl, me. They'd act like they needed to see one of the other girls in the office and quickly stare over at me. I was like Hi because I am just a nice person not knowing these ladies were checking me out as if I was competition. I had no idea what I was competing for at the time and honestly I didn't care. I am a single mother trying to take care of my child and these people obviously had nothing else to do with their time because they chose to invest a lot of it in me. You will discover this as you continue to read. Well as time past and I started to make a name for myself in the office I was offered a promotion. I need to mention this, the man who owned this company is white. This is an important factor. I am saying this because once I got my "promotion". I began to learn that this white man was a modern day slave driver who treats black women like whores, and he tried to keep the ones that worked for him at each others throats. I for one wasn't trying to go along with the plan because I was there to work not become a concubine. Well I made friends, so I thought, with one black man who worked for the company. I should have known that there was something wrong with this gentlemen, one day I over heard the General Manager calling him stupid and telling him was a dumb Realtor. Other black and white women in the company began to open up to me telling me how the GM would tell them to go find another job because two reasons they weren't attractive enough for him or they weren't trying to go along with their plan. So I became concerned. Well let me give you a short story about a experience I had with the GM of this company.

Shortly after I began working for the company my 30th birthday came and the girl who was my acting manager in the office took me out for drinks. She started slapping me on the behind during the night and the would say"oh sorry I must be drunk" the once we left the bar and were returning to her house so that I can go home she called the GM who was and still is her boyfriend. She was inviting him over and asking me to stay to partake in a sexual experience I had no interest in. I went home and thought nothing of it. I wrote it off as maybe she was drunk and hey it will be over tomorrow. But no that's when it all began.

Once I got the promotion I was to sit out in the new "subdivision" that was once was a trailer park. The owner developer knocked down the trailer homes and replaced them with cheap module homes. Then had a few of his rich friends make purchases on the homes as a favor to him. They in turn used me to rent them to poor black families, over charge them to repay them for their investment. I was new to the business at that time. I saw the signs but I really wanted to give this slaver diver the benefit of the doubt. Trust me it was not easy. My first time meeting the slave driver he took me for a ride in his TAHOE. The very first thing he did was press the ONSTAR button this was to impress the lil black girl who knows nothing. At least he assumed I knew nothing. See when I applied for the job I lived in a small town in Georgia located about 45 minutes from the town I worked in. So me sending them a resume with the experience that mine had, that was unusual. In their eyes it had to be impossible. How could some one live in a small town with this much knowledge and experience? Instead of asking the question they assumed from the beginning I was a liar and obviously they thought I was naive.

Well the Owner/Developer/Slave driver drove me around this neighborhood filled with poorly constructed homes, dilapidated buildings, no landscaping and poor curb appeal. He owns over 145 homes in this neighborhood which is pro-dominantly black and he called himself "the king of the hood". He had a shack of a building that was suppose to be the property management company ran by his head concubine. Not to mention this man is married with adult children and grandchildren.

She the HCIC (the head concubine in charge) takes the rent from the people (black people) living in these homes fit for animals and in turn pays his "the king's" mortgage, car payments, credit cards etc. The moment one of the tenants can not afford to pay on time they are put out on the street and the next victim moves in and the vicious cycle continues. She sees nothing wrong with what she is doing because he keeps her "taken care of". She is not allowed to be in a real relationship unless he approves. I know this because this is what he said to me and when I asked about it later it was suppose to have been a joke.

Now back to me. I would work Mon-Sun never was paid overtime. But once I rented the homes I was given Bonuses which was funny to me because I was not a license Realtor. I have never been a license Realtor yet I was drawing up contracts basically used as eye candy to attract the potential victims. The bonuses were a set up. A set up for what was to come had I went along with "the king's" plan. He would have me "hang out" with his head girl wanting me to "learn this business" and in return I teach her how to be like me. She had little style, very bad acne and low self esteem. He took full advantage of her preying on the weaknesses of others in order to gain control.

I just couldn't see myself building a career with this company after experiencing the things that I began to experience. The company put up a nice facade for those who aren't able to think past their rhetoric. I thought that investing in a home would be a good idea so I decided to ask an Aunt to try and purchase some homes and maybe I'd help out with managing the properties or live in to assist in helping her pay. I'd rather give my money to family than to help a man whose main goal is to see my people suffer. She decided to come up and check it out. This experience help me learn what I needed to know about this man and I also learn quite a bit about my aunt.

When my aunts came up he began to brainwash them with his plans for me. Telling them how he wanted me to own homes and be the spokes person for some fictitious subdivision that has been in the making since I met the man. Construction, I presume, is still underway. My aunts thought this mans plans for me would some how benefit me. I then knew that I had to leave. I needed my aunts to understand whatever plans I am going through with would be the plans I have for myself. Not something some control freak, slave-driver has for me. But it was too late they were already under his control.

I need to take another step backward. The reason I asked this aunt to invest in homes is one because she had what I thought was a successful limo company. I also felt that if any of the family or friends of the family were sending kids to this town for school they would have a place to live. I was thinking this would be an investment that many black families aren't taking advantage of.

Well let me tell you the outcome of that. She invested after I told her not to go through with it. In the meeting she had with him he advised her that he must have total control. Meaning control over the property she was investing in and total control over who lives in it. Well my aunts provided him with the opportunity of a life time and he took full advantage. Like I stated my aunt did own a limo company in Miami, Fl. This man, the slave driver, began to watch her observing her thought process then he started sending people her way. Eventually she stopped getting business. Why? The slaver driver was helping her competitors. He wanted to bring her down and he knew how and he did just that. She ended up losing the business, the houses she invested in and her credit went down the drain all because he had to have control. Control in order to divide and conquer. My aunt will become a key character because after he took everything she had he then used her to help him try to bring me down.

He tapped my house phone, checked my text messages, sent informants to my house to check my every move. Many of these informants worked in his company. He even had the black guy pretend that he was getting a job with another company. All because he, the king, was jealous that I trusted this man over him. He wanted me in his presence every possible moment he could have me. He didn't want me attending to my son. He'd go crazy if I wanted to leave and go home after I had been in the office from 8-5:30. I was getting physically sick of seeing this man everyday. I would cry. I wanted to find another job so bad. While working there he send signs to show me who he really was and how much he hated blacks. He would send me to pick up"forms" from a man who I could never contact by phone and he would leave nasty message like. "What is wrong with you people?" "How many time do I have to tell you people?" My reaction was say what? I knew it was time for me to get out of there cause I was eventually gonna go to jail for slapping, spitting on, or kicking this old man's ass. He didn't have a clue.

Well I did find another job. He had set that job up it was in fact with another real estate company in the town. A company of individuals who he'd trained to play a game with me. The whole while I worked for the company he'd have another young lady, a Realtor, come by the new office where I worked she would call me, ask me to email her, she'd email me basically trying to get me fired. She would ask me to go to lunch just to keep track of what I was doing. She would go back and report every move I made from the clothes I wore to the perfume I had on. For some reason they really thought I wanted to take over the real estate industry. When all I wanted to do was take care of my son. They saw something in my that intimidated them. He was intimidated by the fact that I really didn't give a care about him. I was just doing what he was doing to every one else. Selling them dreams. Needless to say that job didn't last long.

I remember like it was yesterday it was Easter time 2007. I was preparing to go visit my sister. I had advised the lady that hired me at the new real estate company that I wasn't going to be in and I told her why. Well needless to say things started happening that week basically more set ups. This one Bitch excuse my french she was a former lawyer and the bosses daughter in law she was one of the Realtors I work with putting her listings on the market. Well she and I set out to go and view a home that was suppose to be going on the market. Well me being the Diva that I am I was looking fly too fly for this piece of a building we were viewing I had on some cute sandals that matched my white pants and yellow shirt. Well when I got out of her "Volvo" there was dirt every where I was pissed. Then the house it was a recovering burned house. Sort of like a recovering crack house. There were boards and things all over the rooms were incomplete the place was a wreck. I was falling all over the place messing up my white pants and getting dust on my fly sandals. While miss prissy priss played professional Realtor. All the while critiquing me to go back and tell my stupivisor who was planning her hillbilly wedding.

So we get back to the office just in time for Judas the bitch Realtor to go and make her report to the young stupivisor. I knew then I wasn't going to have a job when I returned from my trip. But I was like, okay I will deal with that when I get back. I was going to visit my family regardless of what these slave co-conspirers felt. I was not under their control please believe it and that's why I had so many problems. Well I went to visit my sister and in when I return to work that Tuesday morning. Like I said I got the call to me desk. "Hello can you come to my office?" Sure, Whats going on?" I asked as if I was oblivious. Not to mention the Bitch hadn't arrive yet but she called me just before I got that call and asked if I would fax some thing. I really don't remember what it was all I know is I didn't do it. All because I knew what time it was. I was preparing for my performance. So I walked into the office (lights, camera, action) there sat the stupivisor and the lady that hired me the one who I advised that I was going to take my trip. To make a long story short "it just wasn't working out" those were her exact words. So I started, tear one fell down my face as my voice trembled "what did I ddddooo wrong?" While on the inside I was like "kiss my ass please!". However I am so good I couldn't let them know I was on to them so I walked out and said "fine". Went and gathered my things hugged one of the players they thought I trusted. She was like "it's gonna be ok!". I was like "bitch I know", instead I just wipe my fake tear and said "I surely hope so". Then I walk to my car and made the call. Just as he suspected I would. I called the slave driver. See he had no earthly idea how I felt about him. Nor did he know that I knew he was setting up all these games around town for me.

So I called him balling and screaming. "Oh my God they fired me!" "Massa what is I gonna do? Just like the good nigga he thought I was. He responded sounding surprised "no I can't believe it, just stop by my office and we can discuss it". So I did as he asked I really wanted to see the look on his face. Just wanted to know just how stupid he thought I was. I walked in and the man had tears in his eyes. Now were those tears, tears of guilt for what he had done? Or was those tears of concern for the wrong I had just experienced? We all know the answer to that equation.

This slave driver had been playing the game for a long time. The key word in that sentence is playing. Playing professional, playing Kingpin, playing with the minds of his followers and all the while earning the reputation of a "Good Man". Why? He knows how to manipulates minds, know how to condition the weak to gain control. Control over the finances, control over their families, and teaching them to recruit others so that his army will grow. He knows how to make his nasty opinions about blacks he enslave facts in the eyes of others. They trust him, some of the people in Tallahassee look up to him.

I have to flash back again I will be doing that a lot throughout this blog. I remember one day the slave driver took me to a "meeting" in a small town just outside of Tallahassee, it was in Monticello. On the way there he shows me this new paper article about a high school basketball star. The kid was African American however he had the same last name of this slaver driver. So this next thing this nasty ass WHITEY says to me is "this could be our son". I had to turn and look out the window to hide the look of disgust on my face. I also was so nauseated by the mere thought, I wanted to puke all over the place. I get nauseated when I can't take it anymore. I simply turned back and gave him my little deceitful smirk and said "Yea? You think?" this was for me to agree to whatever B.S. he had planned before or after this meeting. This man just did not know had he planned to put one finger on me I was prepared to kick his white ass all across that city and make up some lies on how he hurt me. He didn't bother I think he caught on. Because when we got back to the office he said I told him I was gonna go hang out with some of the other co workers. He responded by saying "go ahead since age is so important to you". This was to say I didn't want him because he was old. No whitey I don't want you cause you were my boss, I came there to work and be a professional not a hoefessional.

CBO to Blue Dogs, Public Option Saves BIG $$$

1) The Congressional Budget Office dealt Blue Dogs a blow Thursday by notifying House Democrats that tethering a public option to Medicare reimbursement rates would save the government $110 billion more than a public option in which the government has to negotiate rates with doctors and other health care providers.

The initial projections showed the difference between the two was $65 billion. But this shows it would cost the government a lot more money to heed moderate demands. House Democrats need to trim as much as $200 billion from a bill that most estimates peg at $1.1 trillion in order to meet President Obama's $900 billion target.

An actual robust public option saves money, and it's what the majority of constituents in districts like Rep. Mike Ross's district supports. Will Rep. Mike Ross actually listen to what the CBO says, or act like Senator Kent Conrad in dismissing the CBO's projections about the public option?

2) Competition lacking among private health insurers

WASHINGTON — One of the most widely accepted arguments against a government medical plan for the middle class is that it would quash competition — just what private insurers seem to be doing themselves in many parts of the U.S.

Several studies show that in lots of places, one or two companies dominate the market. Critics say monopolistic conditions drive up premiums paid by employers and individuals.

For Democrats, the answer is a public plan that would compete with private insurers. Republicans see that as a government power grab. President Barack Obama looks to be trapped in the middle of an argument that could sink his effort to overhaul the health care system.

Even lawmakers opposed to a government plan have problems with the growing clout of the big private companies. "There is a serious problem with the lack of competition among insurers," said Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, one of the highest-cost states. "The impact on the consumer is significant."

Wellpoint Inc. accounted for 71 percent of the Maine market, while runner-up Aetna had a 12 percent share, according to a 2008 report by the American Medical Association.

Proponents of a government plan say it could restore a competitive balance and lead to lower costs. For one thing, it wouldn't have to turn a profit.

A study by the Urban Institute public policy center estimated that a public plan could save taxpayers from $224 billion to $400 billion over 10 years by lowering the cost of proposed subsidies for the uninsured, while preserving private coverage for most people.

"Right now, there's no incentive for insurers or big hospital groups to negotiate with each other, because they can pass higher payments on through premiums," said economist Linda Blumberg, co-author of the report.

"A public plan would have the leverage to set lower payment rates and get providers to participate at those rates."

"The private plans would come back to the providers and say, 'If you don't negotiate with me, you're going to be left with only the public plan.'" Blumberg continued. "Suddenly, you have a very strong economic incentive for them to negotiate."

Insurers contend their industry is extremely competitive, and a public plan is unnecessary. About 1,300 carriers operate across the country, although many only have a small share of the market in their states.

"You can have a very competitive market and still have companies with a high market share," said Alissa Fox, a top Washington lobbyist for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Fox points to the federal employee health program, which also covers members of Congress. It offers a total of more than 260 options and 10 nationwide plans. Despite all the choices, about 60 percent of federal workers pick a Blue Cross plan. "Insurers need to be of a significant size to best serve their customers and make sure that people get the best value," Fox said.

Nonetheless, lawmakers are concerned. Big insurers are getting bigger. Small businesses in particular have fewer and fewer options for getting coverage.

Congressional investigators this year looked at insurers catering to small employers around the country. The Government Accountability Office found that the median _or midpoint — market share of largest carrier increased to 47 percent in 2008 from 33 percent in 2002.

There's widespread recognition among lawmakers that a health care overhaul should foster more competition among insurers. The debate is over how far to go.

The basic framework lawmakers are looking at would encourage competition, even without a government plan. It calls for setting up a big insurance purchasing pool called an exchange. It would be open, at least initially, to individuals and small businesses. The government would offer subsidies to make premiums more affordable.

Consumers would find it much easier to shop for a plan through the exchange. For one thing, they would be able to readily compare benefits and premiums in different plans. Also, participating insurers would have to take all applicants and not charge higher premiums to those in poor health.

Offering the option of a public plan would supercharge the competition, supporters say.

Blumberg envisions a plan that pays medical providers more than Medicare, but less than private insurance. Her study estimated it could grow to 47 million members, leaving 161 million with private insurance. Even so, that would make the new public plan one of the largest insurers in the country, rivaling Medicare, Medicaid and big private companies such as Wellpoint and UnitedHealthcare.

It's a scenario that gives pause even to traditional adversaries of the insurance companies.

"The fear and concern is that the public plan could become the market-dominant plan," said Dr. James Rohack, president of the American Medical Association. "When you've got the federal government involved, it can infuse money into a plan to keep it solvent even if the premiums are lower than its actual costs."

Snowe, among the few Republican senators still trying to come up with a bipartisan compromise, wants to hold back on creating a public plan for now and give insurers one last chance to show if they can keep costs in check.

That's doesn't go far enough for liberals, who are loath to give the insurance industry tens of millions of new customers supported by taxpayer subsidies.

"It would give the industry a windfall without any countervailing force to require them to lower their costs," said Richard Kirsch, national campaign manager for the advocacy group Health Care for America Now. "The insurance companies could continue to jack up premiums while getting a whole new market."

In the course of a political argument with a neurofeedback therapist as to the virtues of Hugo Chavez, I was told that "the Jews should leave Venezuela". Are the Jews not true Venezuelans after centuries of residence? Guess not. Are we true British, Americans, or anything other than Jews? Probably not. So we belong to Israel, our ancient homeland. But I read in another psychotherapist's blog that Jews are distinguished as being the only people without a homeland, and that our identity is a collective atonement for the death of a great Egyptian in another land where we were guests. Of course, this presupposes we have an identity to start with. A little circular, I think.
Of course, when we attach ourselves to Israel, we are told that it is not ours, because we are supplanting a group of people whose ancestors settled there after we, as a group, were kicked out.
All this leads me to question who, or what I am. What I come up with, is that I am the nation-less soul (which I use figuratively, because I am an atheist) who belongs nowhere except in a land that I have no right to inhabit. The convenient Nowhere Man, whose butt is a convenient target for anyone afraid to kick his own.
I am thus led to the following little bit of dogmatism:
I am a Jew.
The nation of Israel lives.
To make any sense of this at all, I am a committed Zionist.

Those who object, may take a flying f**k. Of course, if you choose to eliminate us (as you have repeatedly), you will have only yourselves to kick in the Butt. OUCH! If we choose to eliminate you, we will also have to kick our own selves in the Butt. DOUBLE OUCH!
So, we might as well leave each other alone, and admit that ultimately, we are all one, under the greater umbrella of man. And try to conquer something else. Like Mars. A Brilliant Strategy (The Party of NO )

The GOP has stumbled upon a brilliant strategy. The strategy of NO.

The strategy of No coupled with distortions, misrepresentations, shock and awe has diverted attention from the real issues and has enabled the GOP to dilute and block any legislation that would benefit Americans.

By simply saying NO without any explanation or offering a counter plan, the Democratic must guess at what is need to gain bipartisan (Republican) support. So begins the game of what if....

If I remove this, if I change that, If I add this will you provide support. The if continues until a Maybe is said.

The loser in all of this is the American Public. The public is strapped with a bill that does not benefit them or address their needs. The winner is this are the lobbyist and special interest groups who provided the necessary funding (bribes) to ensure that their interest was represented. Neither party represents the people...the Republicans via the strategy of NO and the Democratic who have failed to take a position. This scenario is similar to that of an abused child who loves the abusive parent unconditionally and will do anything to please the abuser. The democratic party (or the party of wimps) by caving in to and making concessions to the GOP responses are similar to that of the abused child. The abuse does not stop if the child does everything they think will please the abuser. The GOP position does not change even if they are given everything that one thinks they want.

It is the goal of Americans United for Health Care and Insurance Reform to let congress know that all Americans need health care and insurance. Over 47 million Americans are uninsured and millions more are underinsured or at risk of losing their health insurance

The rally/march will begin at the Lincoln Memorial and march to the steps of the Capitol Building via the National Mall. This rally/march will be peaceful.

Do you remember 'YES WE CAN.' We certainly remember, 'YES WE DID.'

We did our part, will you do yours? The Health Care Reform is worthless without Public Option. It will still allow insurance companies to control the costs, and continue to make it out of reach for many millions Americans.

There are many reasons our citizens die. One should not be because they can not afford medical insurance.
Will you write a letter to their relatives expressing your condolences and tell 'them next time around maybe we will get this right.'

Final Tribute to Senator Ted Kennedy

   Having been born in Boston into an Irish Catholic family in December of 1963, my parents named me "John" in honor of President Kennedy. As we struggle with today's economic recovery and other tough issues such as immigration policy, we should remember that not long ago, "HELP WANTED: No Irish Need Apply" signs were placed in many businesses across the country which may explain why the successes of the Kennedy family have been such an inspiration to so many Irish-Americans and other immigrant families.
   I was privileged to be a 16 year old volunteer on the Kennedy in 80 campaign. Even though Ted Kennedy was unsuccessful in that effort, he kept in touch with me throughout the years and even took time to send me a personal note 15 years later saying how "proud" he was when I earned my doctorate in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. Likewise, I cherish my signed photograph of Senators Kennedy and Kempthorne with my parents and I at Arlington National Cemetery when my father was awarded the meritorious service medal for his achievements as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
   As the nation remembers my friend and political mentor, it is particularly important to share more of these very personal "behind the scenes" vignettes of this great American statesman. More importantly, we should honor his service by dialing back the polarizing rhetoric that surrounds his signature issue of health care policy. At present, we have been trying to fix our health care system to no avail for decades. As the number of our fellow citizens without health insurance, now more than 47 million people, continues to increase, who will be their voice now that Senator Kennedy is at rest?       Let me suggest an answer in his own words: "You don't have to be President. Everyone can make a difference."

Last Wednesday, my only sister was taken to emergency because of difficulty breathing. She's had a history of numerous illnesses ranging from lupus, seizures and osteoporosis but this particular visit was more related to her asthma, or so she thought. After being seen by the physician it was determined that her breathing difficulties were worse than anticipated as she was diagnosed with having a case of pneumonia. Feeling blessed to be able to get immediate medical care Karen was of the ranks of the fortunate known as the insured, meaning that she does in-fact have health care coverage which she acquired after being declared medically disabled after her thirty third seizure.

Yes, it took thirty three seizures, 5 appeals, 4 years and 3 lawyers but Karen Jones was finally declared disabled and was granted full disability which included full health care coverage, far from an easy feat but quite reassuring to Karen as she continued on through life. Unable to work due to her disability, Karen lived alone off of the $563 disability check each month as best she could, regularly robbing Peter to pay Paul, but all along able to make ends meet from check to check, and doing so always with a smile.

Even though times were really harder than Karen lead others to know she was thankful for the roof over her head, her access to medical care when needed, her monthly check and the ability to basically survive, which may be the reason that she developed the characteristic of never asking for help from others regardless of how much she may have needed it at times.

So she didn't like the fact that she had to trouble a neighbor to take her to emergency on Wednesday but she just couldn't breathe well. After the diagnosis that pneumonia was the culprit Karen signed the final papers as her prescription form was being handed to her. "Get this filled, take 4 of these per day and this will clear up your breathing" were the directions given as Karen prepared to go home, wheezing profusely along the way. The neighbor takes her directly to the pharmacy which is where Karen is told that this much needed medication will cost her $197. It's the end of the month, funds are extremely low, and Karen is far from having an extra couple hundred dollars laying around, so she goes home, takes some extra inhales from her breathing machine, and decides to toughen it out until the first of the month, just a few days away, when she'll get her next check and have the money to buy her medicine.

Being a prideful, independent woman Karen continues to tough it out each day never showing to others her true discomfort or need. All day long on Thursday and Friday Karen constantly thinks to herself how much she wishes she had been able to afford to buy the medicine as she does a mental countdown to the first of the month with every inhale through her machine. "I shouldn't have paid the light bill...I should have bought less food" are just a couple of the thoughts that haunt Karen as she figures ways she could have had the much needed money. And on that Friday night as she lay in bed she takes a few extra puffs from her breathing machine to get her through the night.

On the early eve of Saturday morning around 4:30 or so, Karen Jones, my only sister, died, age 51. Apparently, around 4:00 she had severe difficulties breathing, strained to call a neighbor who immediately got dressed and came down to the house, knocked on the door like crazy but there was no answer. Feeling great concern a call was made to the police who quickly arrived, gained access into the house, and there lie Karen, dead on the floor, beside her breathing machine.

Although we all were well aware of Karen's history of sicknesses I never expected my sister to die at such an early age. Of course I am of great sorrow and pain over the loss of my sister but I am also very angry with our health care system. I am angry, no actually in shock by the fact that my sister, Karen was declared to have full health care coverage through her disability benefits. But since it did not cover her medication, which she could not afford to buy out of pocket, my sister died with this so-called full coverage. What kind of full coverage does one really have if they are forced to pay for expensive medications out of their measly $563 monthly check ? I truly believe that if my sister had had her medication she would be alive today. It is absolutely disgraceful that our health care system has the gall to claim they are supplying full health care benefits to the disabled while simultaneous depriving them of the very medicines needed for survival.

Believe it or not, you could say Karen was actually one of the lucky ones only needing one medication compared to others who frequently need 2 and 3 medications, at costs which exceed their entire monthly check. So many who are sick, struggling and classified as fully covered are are in fact struggling helplessly, going without vitally important medications.

Throughout the health care reform debate many have argued that there is no need for strong reform of our system. Most others though do recognize the severe need to reform health care coverage in our country so that we no longer have 47 million Americans who have absolutely no health care at all. 47 million who do not have the basic right to get medical help when they are sick. This is sad and pathetic. Recently, an organization, RAM, known for offering free medical care in the Amazon has been forced to offer their services right here in our country. In Los Angeles, in Iowa and other U.S. locales, hard working Americans who can't afford health care coverage line-up by the thousands for free, much needed health care, similar to scenes in third world countries.

And while we must make certain that health care reform addresses the needs of the uncovered we must also make certain that we address the needs of the category now known as the under-covered. These are the people who have health care coverage but for one reason or another, tend to find out the hard way, usually when they are sick, that their coverage wasn't as 'full' as they thought.

Of course, it will haunt me forever as to why my sister didn't pick up the phone and ask me for the money, but folks that know her know, that's just Karen. And there are millions of other Karens out there, in desperate need and dire straits, but too independent to ask for much needed help. It is our responsibility, our duty to do everything we can to help the 47 million uncovered and the additional millions of under-covered to have the basic right to true health care coverage.

I hope my sister's passing did not include suffering. And now, even more, I hope that we all across this great land, will unite, do the right thing and pass a strong health reform bill which includes a strong public option so that we can curtail the suffering of millions more ahead. We must fight for the 47 million and the Karen Jones's of America. This is a battle that must be won !

Those left out by the system include the young just entering the workforce, the self-employed, the unemployed and people who work for small businesses.

2. You get to choose your doctor.

They also committed to a system that is sustainable and affordable and that will be there for future generations.

Without a public option, the other parties that comprise America's non-system of health care -- private insurers, doctors, hospitals, drug companies, and medical suppliers -- have little or no incentive to supply high-quality care at a lower cost than they do now.

The American Medical Association is dead-set against it, Big Pharma rejects it out of hand, and the biggest insurance companies won't consider it. No other issue in the current health-care debate is as fiercely opposed by the medical establishment and their lobbies now swarming over Capitol Hill. Of course, they don't want it. A public option would squeeze their profits and force them to undertake major reforms. That's the whole point.

Critics say the public option is really a Trojan horse for a government takeover of all of health insurance. But nothing could be further from the truth. It's an option. No one has to choose it. Individuals and families will merely be invited to compare costs and outcomes. Presumably they will choose the public plan only if it offers them and their families the best deal -- more and better health care for less.

Private insurers say a public option would have an unfair advantage in achieving this goal. Being the one public plan, it will have large economies of scale that will enable it to negotiate more favorable terms with pharmaceutical companies and other providers. But why, exactly, is this unfair? Isn't the whole point of cost containment to provide the public with health care on more favorable terms? If the public plan negotiates better terms -- thereby demonstrating that drug companies and other providers can meet them -- private plans could seek similar deals.

But, say the critics, the public plan starts off with an unfair advantage because it's likely to have lower administrative costs. That may be true -- Medicare's administrative costs per enrollee are a small fraction of typical private insurance costs -- but here again, why exactly is this unfair? Isn't one of the goals of health-care cost containment to lower administrative costs? If the public option pushes private plans to trim their bureaucracies and become more efficient, that's fine.

Critics complain that a public plan has an inherent advantage over private plans because the public won't have to show profits. But plenty of private plans are already not-for-profit. And if nonprofit plans can offer high-quality health care more cheaply than for-profit plans, why should for-profit plans be coddled? The public plan would merely force profit-making private plans to take whatever steps were necessary to become more competitive. Once again, that's a plus.

Critics charge that the public plan will be subsidized by the government. Here they have their facts wrong. Under every plan that's being discussed on Capitol Hill, subsidies go to individuals and families who need them in order to afford health care, not to a public plan. Individuals and families use the subsidies to shop for the best care they can find. They're free to choose the public plan, but that's only one option. They could take their subsidy and buy a private plan just as easily. Legislation should also make crystal clear that the public plan, for its part, may not dip into general revenues to cover its costs. It must pay for itself. And any government entity that oversees the health-insurance pool or acts as referee in setting ground rules for all plans must not favor the public plan.

Finally, critics say that because of its breadth and national reach, the public plan will be able to collect and analyze patient information on a large scale to discover the best ways to improve care. The public plan might even allow clinicians who form accountable-care organizations to keep a portion of the savings they generate. Those opposed to a public option ask how private plans can ever compete with all this. The answer is they can and should. It's the only way we have a prayer of taming health-care costs. But here's some good news for the private plans. The information gleaned by the public plan about best practices will be made available to the private plans as they try to achieve the same or better outputs.

As a practical matter, the choice people make between private plans and a public one is likely to function as a check on both. Such competition will encourage private plans to do better -- offering more value at less cost. At the same time, it will encourage the public plan to be as flexible as possible. In this way, private and public plans will offer one another benchmarks of what's possible and desirable.

Mr. Obama says he wants a public plan. But the strength of the opposition to it, along with his own commitment to making the emerging bill "bipartisan," is leading toward some oddball compromises. One would substitute nonprofit health insurance cooperatives for a public plan. But such cooperatives would lack the scale and authority to negotiate lower rates with drug companies and other providers, collect wide data on outcomes, or effect major change in the system.

Another emerging compromise is to hold off on a public option altogether unless or until private insurers fail to meet some targets for expanding coverage and lowering health-care costs years from now. But without a public option from the start, private insurers won't have the incentives or system-wide model they need to reach these targets. And in politics, years from now usually means never.

To get health care moving again in Congress, the president will have to be clear about how to deal with its costs and whether and how a public plan is to be included as an option. The two are intimately related. Enough talk. He should come out swinging for the public option.

Ted Kennedy did not succeed in following his brother's path, either in cultivating a faultless image or in wielding the powers of the presidency. But by the early 21st century, the achievements of the younger brother would be enough to rival those of many presidents.

That day on the Hyannis Port porch, his father-in-law's advice to relax and bask in his hard-won glory was also prescient. A year later, Kennedy would be diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.

Aspirin or ibuprofen can give one irritation and/or heartburn.

Encorage others to become active.

Gentle exercises, and activities such as meditation and or Yoga can help to reduce the effects of arthritis. Follow the care plan instructions of your health care provider carefully, and don't forget to use canes or other walking aids as needed.

Hello everyone.

Sure. It's been a while since my last post, but, fret not, I've been quite busy for our cause. Recently, I've been ingesting and decifering the lastest revised bill to come out of the House. From what I can tell, there's is much to be explained for the layman. In my opinion, that's about 73% of our country's population.

Besides death panels and other outrageous drummed up issues, the opposition, which consists largely of simply uniformed individuals, has no foundation to stand on. Even in the bible, we learn the lesson of the house built on the sand. Because there is no basic principal foundation for the opposition, they will fall in the end.

A strong wind ( liberal uprisig - A.K.A. knowledge ralley) will began to tilt the house that health care reform ignorance was built on. Once this tilting occurs, most of the uninformed will stand with us. i know this because no one wants to be on a losing team. To drive that point home further, would you stand inside a collapsing building?

Therefore, though our work ahead will be strenous, we ought not wait to began bringing down the house that ignorance built. We have a way of bring understaning and confromity to our opponents when we show our teeth and extend our hands ( with the proper test answers scribbled on them). So get out there and turn water into wine. Trust me..., they'll love that.

President Obama needs more supporters on Facebook. The republicans there have started using the polling function and have made a significant number of anti-Obama polls and voted overwhemingly against President Obama making him trying to make him look unpopular there. OFA needs to try and get more Obama people on Facebook to vote in the polling functions there or create better poll's themselves. Maybe Facebook needs 1 million new Democrats to join it, so we can all vote in the polls there and change them. I think the press does look at the social networking sites when considering all the "popularity" articles they write, and the GOP has become "hip" enough to understand this. So Facebook is being bombarded by the GOP with propaganda and new users.

My Fellow Americans...It is VERY important that we stay focused on the #1 health problem in America. That is the 47 MILLION AMERICANS with NO HEALTH CARE at all !!!!! That should be focus #1. EXACTLY how will the 47M be able to receive the basic necessity of life...the ability to go to the doctor when one is sick. For those millions of you who have coverage, you have absolutely NO CLUE what life is like without that simple ability. How absolutely frightening a simple cough or headache can be...hoping that it doesn't turn into something that needs real medical care. Or when you get a severe toothache...but you can't go to the dentist so you fight through the agonizing pain....forced to ask friends if they have any penicillin pills that you can take....because you have to doctor on yourself.

PLEASE STAY FOCUSED my friends. The 47 million who are suffering represent our government's new Katrina. Will our gov't turn their backs...as they did with Katrina....or will they actually correct this third world like American disgrace ? That is THE question !

Facts - Why Health Care Reform Is Vital. The Way I See It-Research.

Do you know that person E (I will not say names-just in general based on real facts of my friends) Is a senior citizen lady who has a stroke and diabetis 2. Well, You see, person E went to the foot doctor's office and the foot doctor prescribed her a nail fungus medicine that cost 100 dollars -99.99, and so, this medicine that she needs is not cover by medicare or medicaid which she has but it must be paid cashed (Duane Read said) so I called person E foot doctor for the lady who because of the stroke her speach is not quite that clear and explained that the lady cannot afford the 100 dollars medicine - thank God the Foot Doctor said he is going to try to see if he can prescribe her another medicine that is cover by medicaid. Well this lady she cannot afford this medicine for her toe nail fungus infection and she happens to be a diabetic and lives in a city project, it is a Shame that my friend this lady cannot afford the Good 100 dollars medicine that she soo much need specially her being a diabetic. So you see so many people go without their must needed medications because the medicines are not cover by medicaid nor medicare nor HMO's or either they have to get another medicine that is not as effective. This is so wrong, all human beings rich or poor should be able to get the best medicines and treatment possible.

üThe Prophet Jesus was a Sage; he used to teach people by telling them stories (parables).
Mark 4: 33-34 in The Bible’s New Testament say, “And with many such parables He (Jesus) did not speak to them, and when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples”. üJesus was a Sage and a free thinker, someone who in his own way rebel against the teachings of his time such as corruption of the church back then, and the exploitation and persecution of the Jewish community by the Romans. üSo, tired of what was going on back then, one day, over 2000 years ago, the young man, Prophet Jesus, decided to do something about it, and he proclaimed himself The King of Israel and The Son of God. He knew that this act will later cause for him to be arrested and even killed. nPeople back then saw Jesus as a Revolutionary Savior who was sent from God to save them from both the church and the Romans, but later when people realized that Jesus was not going to actually fight The Romans physically or organized some kind of revolt, the people became angry against Jesus, and quite scare of the Romans and the church leaders to turn against them, and so, they decided to turn him in, and accused him. üJesus used sarcasm by calling Himself a King of Israel, making The Romans look silly, and by calling Himself God (Hinduism and Greek Philosophical concepts God=The Self), He challenged the church. üFrom The age of 13-33 it is believed that Jesus was at the Himalayas becoming a Yogi.
He was a very brave and courage's young man, and he stood his ground for what he believed even if this would had result in his death. nOn the other hand, the people in Jerusalem did not like Jesus, and this included his own family.

Capture the Flag: An Open Letter to the Right and the Left

Politicians, pundits, and the public liken America’s continuous two party political competition to assorted sports, but board games are a better analogue of our current system of political warfare.

Put aside baseball, which with its constant pausing and pitting of each singular batter against a team in field, is as much an unusual, one-off game as it is a sport. Our other national sports are all concerned with one team driving deep into the other’s territory and scoring a goal. While players are carefully positioned all over the field for this purpose, there is no value placed on capturing, or even controlling, the center. The summer camp game of “capture the flag” involves capturing the other team’s flag from within the other team’s territory (not from some neutral, protected location in the center), and then returning with it to your own side.

Business and politics have been likened to war for decades now, but they have also been believed to be comparable to the sports above, perhaps owing more to their actual violence than to tactics and strategy. Study chess and checkers for success in the real world. Like many other games, they are concerned with survival. They are territorial by nature, and so eschew the bipolar nature of sports for capturing and protecting as much territory as is reasonable while diminishing the opponent and protecting one’s own king(s).

In the 2008 elections, the Democrats learned the value on including the middle. Like the centrist news outlets, the Democrats were vilified by both the right and the left, but they became a party appreciated by voters who didn’t want the country to experiment with extremity, and those voters, along with a slightly left-of-center “base” returned them to the White House and a bicameral majority that they have not enjoyed for many years.

PETA, Ralph Nader, American Anarchists, and Libertarian Socialist (yes, right-wingers, Obama isn’t all that far to the left: there are Anarchists and Libertarian Socialists, even in America) have all understood the need to capture the excluded middle, but their extreme agendas make that impossible. The Democrats woke up a few years ago, ran the numbers, and learned to control the center, diminishing their detractors on both the right and the far-left while moving the flag closer to the center, which is its rightful place in a democracy. The United States is ill served when either one of its two political parties drives its marginalized base further towards its own goal, i.e. the goal that it is defending. The Republicans would do well to put away sports and learn to play a little chess and checkers.

Many of us are looking for a Tylenol solution to a problem that requires delicate precise surgery involving an open minded scalpel, sound calculated experimentation, perseverance and progressive rehab til our Nation's wellness begins to take root. The Obama administration is trying to proceed with confidence without hasty decision making. Consequently, this will prove to allow sound results for Americans now and in future, not just for tomorrow or the next day :)

However, it is going to take more than policy reform to make this work amongst all Americans; the reconstruction of the US must include spiritual reform as well. In this country as a whole, we are falling short in the fundamental mission of concerning ourselves with both the underlying best interest of others as well as ourselves. All of us will experience a recurring back set, if we rush to find the quickest solutions that only numb the core root of our Nation's problems. These problems, within our nation, existed well before the Obama Administration. U.N. Security Council agrees on tougher N. Korea sanctions

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council have agreed on a resolution that would expand and tighten sanctions on North Korea, two senior Western diplomats at the United Nations said Wednesday.

The permanent members -- China, France, Russia, Britain and the United States -- reached the agreement in consultation with Japan and South Korea.

The council began discussions late Wednesday morning. A vote is possible Thursday or Friday, according to several diplomats, including French Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert.

The agreement comes amid rising tension with North Korea, which recently conducted a nuclear test, fired test rockets, and threatened U.S. and South Korean ships near its territorial waters. The nuclear test and the firing of six short-range rockets same in late May.

Pyongyang's actions violated U.N. resolutions.

Adding another wrinkle to the situation, two American journalists arrested in North Korea were convicted Monday of illegal entry to the country and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Late last month, two Defense Department officials said U.S. satellite imagery spotted "vehicle activity" at a North Korean ballistic missile facility. The officials said the images showed vehicles used to transport Taepodong-2 missiles, but no missile parts. The Taepodong-2 is a long-range missile that was tested earlier this year by North Korea.

That test, in April, showed a significant improvement in range from North Korea's initial long-range missile test in 2006.

President Obama's special envoy to the secretive communist state, Stephen Bosworth, called "simply groundless" accusations by Pyongyang that its nuclear and missile tests were in response to American aggression.

Washington officials have said the United States' goal is for North Korea to return to nuclear negotiations with the United States, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia, known as the "six-party talks."

DRESDEN, Germany (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama expressed hope on Friday of making serious progress in Middle East peacemaking this year and said Israelis and Palestinians had to "get serious" and make tough compromises.

On a visit to Germany, Obama repeated his call for Israel to halt settlement expansion in the West Bank, but he also pushed the Palestinians to improve security and pressed Arab states to match any Israeli peace steps with confidence-building gestures.

"The Palestinians have to get serious about creating the security environment that is required for Israel to feel confident. Israelis are going to have to take some difficult steps," he said.

Obama, who sees Israeli-Palestinian progress as crucial to repairing the U.S. image in the Muslim world, was speaking a day after delivering a speech in Cairo in which he offered Muslims a "new beginning" with the United States.

Germany is the third stop on a trip which started in Saudi Arabia. On Saturday, he will attend commemorations in France marking the 65th anniversary of the World War Two D-Day landings in France.

"I am confident that if we stick with it ... we can make some serious progress this year," Obama said of the peace process at a news conference in Dresden with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

"The moment is now for us to act on what we all know to be the truth, which is that each side is going to have to make some difficult compromises."

After Dresden, Obama toured the site of the Buchenwald concentration camp, paying homage to the victims of the Holocaust, in which 6 million Jews died.

The visit will send a signal to Jerusalem that while he did not visit Israel on his maiden trip to the Middle East, its security is still central to U.S. foreign policy.

"To this day we know there are those who insist the Holocaust never happened, a denial of a fact or truth that is baseless, ignorant and hateful. This place is the ultimate rebuke to such thoughts," Obama said, with Merkel and camp survivors Elie Wiesel and Bertrand Herz standing behind him.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

Obama has made finding a solution to the protracted Israeli-Palestinian conflict a top foreign policy priority and has plunged into Middle East politics, often a quagmire for his predecessors, early in his presidency.

Former President George W. Bush was seen as taking a hands-off approach to Middle East peacemaking until late in his administration. Muslims saw Bush as biased toward Israel.

"I believe with the new U.S. administration, with President Obama, there is a unique opportunity to see to it that the negotiation process is revived," Merkel said.

Obama said he was concerned his recent comments on the need for Israel to accept a Palestinian state were getting a disproportionate amount of attention. Palestinians needed to take steps, too, he said.

"We have still not seen a firm commitment from the Palestinian Authority that they can control some of the border areas that Israel is going to be concerned about if there was going to be a two-state solution," he said.

If this was not solved, the Israelis would have "trouble moving forward," Obama said.

He called on Arab states to "make some hard choices" by opening up trade and offering diplomatic exchanges with Israel if it made "tough commitments." Until now, Arab states have said Israel must fulfill its obligations under the 2003 "road map" peace plan before they will reciprocate.

Along with the Middle East crisis, Obama and Merkel also discussed the nuclear stand-off with Iran, the global financial crisis, climate change and the fate of prisoners at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Obama is hugely popular in Germany, but relations between Washington and Berlin have been less than smooth since Obama took office in January. Facing an election in September, Merkel has resisted U.S. pressure to take inmates from Guantanamo and send more troops to Afghanistan.

The brevity of Obama's stay in Germany and his decision not to go to Berlin led to German media speculation of a rift, but the president dismissed this as "wild speculation."

Response to What is Socratic Dialog and How to Sustain it

The chaff or husk comes along as part of the seed grain; it’s a natural part of the wheat. To utilize the goodness of the wheat, we separate the chaff from the grain. One most popular and efficient method is threshing. In threshing man gives the wheat up to what to do the separation? Man gives the wheat up to the wind to do the separation, for to do it with his own fingers in a linear fashion would be grossly inefficient and impractical.

Such as it is I suggested four years ago in the dialog that we develop such a system designed to support the requirements for Socratic dialog. At the same time introducing the Crème principle a notion provided by nature, what I did was transfer that in natural application to a system that could be created by man or if allowed would happen naturally. I also indicated that this would parlay into a system for participatory self government using the new tools that would be coming available to all. The chief design requirement in the design of all the new systems was to engineer ego self interest out of the system so that it could not exert to strong an influence over design, decision, and execution. Such that our product would be the result of the sum of individual self interests integrated. Individual self interest is represented but in a way that maintains balance in proper proportion to it’s presence in the system. In the system would be a digital wind that would separate the wheat from chaff in the dialog and the cream would rise to the top and here the world could place it’s attention.

At the same time in the wisdom of understanding I articulated the need for the protection of individual sovereignty and this applies at all levels including nations of people. For collectivism, conformity, and central control is not conducive to evolution it only supports order. It is the rebel, the revolutionary, the eccentric, the heretic, the outcast, the one that marches to beat of a different drummer that induces and allows the collective body to evolve. Therefore the lone voice and actor must be heard in the dialog and it’s free agency protected for it is essential to the survival of the body as a whole. For here we find growth, adaptation, invention, innovation, and ingenuity and the proper questioning of the status quo.

As I have written in the past, in the dialog, we might liken the chaff to ego chatter, and the notion was not to silence the ego chatter with force but to create a voice of spirit and wisdom of greater volume so that the ego chatter is insignificant upon the ears becoming nothing more than background noise. This voice would be the collective voice born of each informed individual voice. If we were to attempt to silence certain individuals then we might also silence the one voice that might be speaking with insight, wisdom and intelligence even though it did not have the status quo credentials and agenda. If only the members of the status quo could speak into the dialog we would do nothing but maintain the status quo and eventually perish through a failure to grow. I put forth the notion of a measured and authenticated voice of the people which would carry it’s full weight in proceedings and voting, and that the individuals representing those people in the institutions of self government would be able to carry out the will and intention of their constituency in a wise and liberal manner.

We should mention formality because this is often an area of contention in Socratic dialog. Formality is another word for structure and order. There is time for structure and a time for the unstructured mode of operation. A time to dress nicely to state the importance of an event and a time to run naked through the streets to protest and give voice, they called that streaking in the 70’s and now the fashion seems stadiums rather than streets.

Order actually arises naturally from Chaos especially more so with some help from intelligence, I present the universe as empirical evidence. With intelligence and structure out of the chaos of the individual voices can arise a refined voice representing many and the contributions many individuals, the collective wisdom and gestalt intelligence.

With the proper vehicles any single voice can enter the dialog and be amplified so that is shown to speak as the many think. A single voice that provides great value and insight can naturally be illustrated to be such and garner more attention. A group of voices speaking in harmony it also would also denote. That thought in resonance that rises to a crescendo becomes “thy will be done”.

This would not be a balanced perspective if we fail to include a safeguard. A council of wisdom empowered by law and principle, with checks to protect against collective mob behavior resulting from ignorance and irrational thinking with it’s reactionary emotionally driven action. This is especially of concern if there is not existing a free and independent media and information from all sources so that none become collectively ill informed or subjected to disinformation from consolidated non-autonomous control of information flow.

For in understanding all things we find the wisdom in all things and in wisdom we preserve the freedom for all to pursue their happiness. As well as the right of each individual to not have their pursuit of happiness infringed upon by others in their own pursuit; for none can really truly be happy if their happiness comes at the expense of another’s happiness. If such pursuit would do so then that pursuit must be evolved, on the other hand if your unhappiness is due to the need to evolve, one had better evolve or lose your right to happiness. For those that like to keep things the same that is not going to happen due to the natural expansion of the universe and life in conjunction with change, also known as time. There is only one thing that is timeless and I am that I am and thou art that I am in you, the ancient witness. This realization proceeds the coming of the Kingdom and that on earth is in heaven.

P.S

Many things happen somewhat naturally if given the vehicle to do so. In other words the vehicle will naturally be steered by intelligence local and or all pervading. It helps to have a concerted and funded effort to create the vehicles.

Speaking of wheat and chaff…

I remind the world body, that the body of man was not designed to use wheat as staple for food and it was Amaranth the immortal and everlasting that was designed for this. Some things perhaps better left to the production of beer and to feed those animals that have been designed to digest such substance and to that it is found to be synergistic. There are elements in wheat that are not synergistic with human body, and although a source of energy it is not one for nutrition.

We are reminded of that famous meme, “Man cannot live on bread alone”.
