Hello everyone,
As we look to see how to support the Obama administration, we have enhanced his weekly address with our unique karaoke captioning. We plan to expand our support of his administration as we go along as we explore how best to do that.
Also, if there are volunteers that would like to translate the weekly address into other languages, let us know. We'll produce his message in both languages so provide increased comprehension.
Go to these addresses to stay current:
So, look at these spots each week to see his short message. The main site provide iphone-compatible videos.
All the best,

Hi Everyone,
Well, we did it. Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States. It brings a sense of peacefulness that has been missing for many years (8 to be exact).
Now the job will be to help this man have the most successful administration in the history of the republic. By doing so, we will help to chart a course that is crucial to get out of the whole that has been dug for the country over the past 8 years. So look for our Captioned Media for Obama site (www.captionedmediaforobama.com) to continue to provide messages from President Obama in a way that the world-wide audience can understand and appreciate.
Get ready.

Sarah maybe a woman, buy she does not stand on the issues concerning women, especially teenage women. Why she has no problem with recieving earmarked money for a Bridge to Know Where, she cuts the funding program to help teenage mothers. Well we know she does not care at all about endangered animal, but you would think she cared enough to support young women, since she is such a proponet to a right to life. Sara Palin washes her hand of the matter helping teenage girls inspite of their mistake. I guess a fight more for a pipe line in a Alaska is more interesteing.

The Republicans that first came out to praise Palin all were cheering her turning down a bridge to know where, just proves that they don't know who she is either. Supposedely John McCain is supposed to be against Earmarked money. This just shows that John McCain did not really knew her either. This says a lot about the judgement about someone running for President.

Hi everyone,
Everyone should charter buses to the DNC convention.
The visibility would be GREAT.
All the buses could have BIG Barack Obama signs on the sides and backs, and everyone could wear Barack Obama shirts. And everywhere the buses or people went, everyone would see them.
Just think about the visibility it would give Barack Obama.
The impact it would have, would be great.
Thanks so much for your time.
Sincerely,
Paul Warnow

Lets Get Barack Obama Elected!!!
First, my hat goes off to the many volunteers that are actively involved in helping get Barack Obama elected. Whether they are doing fundraising, phone banking, or visibility & voter registration; its all very important.
I think one of the most critical things any of us can do right now is to reach the Reluctant Voters, individuals who might be willing to vote for Barack Obama; but for what ever reason they are hesitant or reluctant to vote for him.
Outside of commercials, visibility is one of the most effective things we can do, and it is certainly the most inexpensive. Doing Visibility allows our message to reach thousands of people every hour, who we would never normally reach.
Over 300,000 people have probably seen the Vote for Change visibility displays since May.
http://progressive-alliance.org/a_visibility_events/visibility_event-stats.htm
Please see the following link for photos of the Vote for Change visibility display:
http://www.progressive-alliance.org/vote_for_change_display.htm
If we are to win in November, we will need to focus our time and energy in the most effective manner,
1) With the most influential message.
2) Targeting those that need to be reached.
3) Reaching the most people.
And, we should all be volunteering for at least ONE HOUR A WEEK.
Lets get Barack Obama Elected!!!
re: Vote for Change visibility events, Students for Change, Concerts for Change
First, I want to take a moment to thank the volunteers that came out today. All of you were great. Thank you so much. We distributed around 350 buttons and brought in about $695 in donations. The crowd at the Ferry Building was exceptionally large, due to the 2 concerts going on in the area. The Vote for Change displays were setup right in front of the Ferry Building at the cross walk, from 8 am to 2 pm, and I believe visibility averaged about 5K per hour, for a total of about 30K. So we all did a great job today. Vote for Change visibility event(s): Progressive-Alliance.org is looking for volunteers, for the following Vote for Change visibility event(s). Volunteers are asked to cover 1 hour shifts; but of course, 2 hours would be great. The objectives are visibility, voter and volunteer outreach, and voter registration. Students for Change: Progressive-Alliance.org is looking for San Francisco State University students and UC Berkeley students, to whom a Vote for Change display, buttons, lapel stickers, and window signs will be provided; with the understanding that all donations received, will be used for a Free Campus Concert for Change at their campus and future visibility efforts in Nevada or New Mexico. Ideally students should be able to provide 1 hour of visibility, between 11am & 1pm, on their quad, once a week. Benefit Concerts for Change: Progressive-Alliance.org is also looking for volunteers, students, and student groups; to help organize Benefit Concerts for Change; which will benefit participating student groups in Nevada and New Mexico. Please see the following link for the Vote for Change display, with Obama 08’ signs, and supporting material: http://www.progressive-alliance.org/a_focus/tabling_for_change.htm Individuals, who are interested in volunteering, should email me the time slot they would like to volunteer for, and their phone #, so I can call them and coordinate schedules. There is an article today in the Washington Post at
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/05/14/obams_international_following.html
talking about our "www.captionedmediaforobama.com" site. It refers to the mention of us at www.theworldwantsobama.org/.

Hello again,
Sorry for the change, but the correct URL for the Arabic subtitled YouTube version of the Si Se Puede Cambiar music video in support of Barack is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsSXwDLOeRw
The video is by Andres Useche, and this is now the ninth language we've moved it to.
We've also posted a broadcast-formatted version of it on our main website www.captionedmediaforobama.com along with the iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV versions.
Enjoy,

Today we posted Barack's interview with Chris Matthews on HARDBALL from West Chester University on the internet, with open, karaoke-style captions for the 30 million US residents with hearing difficulty and 60 million US ESL residents.
It's available on the Internet at:
The sites have more (and more recent) videos with captioning than the official site, and many videos are multilingual. Tell your friends ESL and hearing impaired!
We just posted a bilingual version of Barack "A More Perfect Union" with Spanish and English karaoke subtitles. They're available on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5F3759C95867BF77 and high definition versions are available at www.captionedmediaforobama.com/media.html.
We'll have Bill Richardson's speech in Spanish available in the next day or two at these two locations.
You'll need Quicktime for the high definition versions.
Enjoy!

So, it's the day after the Texas and Ohio results. We're launching the group captionedmediaforobama within the Obama system, and captionedmediaforobama.com on the web. It will take a week or so to have it up, but in this election the ability to reach second language speakers is really important. So we'll do what we can to support his message to everyone.
