The Library of Congress is seeking your help in documenting Barack Obama's historic Inauguration. In a press release last week they said:
"Individuals and groups interested in contributing to the Inauguration 2009 Sermons and Orations Project are asked to submit audio and video recordings made in digital or other approved formats. To be accepted into the collection, the recordings must be of sermons and orations that were delivered to congregations and other audiences between Friday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009.
In addition to audio and video recordings, the AFC is collecting written texts of sermons and orations (submitted in the form of print or electronic media), as well as printed programs from the events during which the sermons and orations were delivered. All submissions must be postmarked by Feb. 27, 2009, and must be accompanied by a signed release form and completed data form, found on the AFC Web site, www.loc.gov/folklife/.
Pass this along to your ministers, pastors, professors, anyone who would like to be included.

Tonight's debate strengthened my belief that we need change in the U.S. and we need it now. Only one candidate stayed focused on the issues that truly face our citizens and that was Barack. We need to open our wallets, pound the pavement, and hit the phone lines to ensure he is the one moving to Pennsylvania Avenue on January 20.
Get fired up and be ready to go.
Yes, we can make the change to a better America.
Don't wake up on Nov.5th and say,
"I wish I had done more.
I wish I had registered just one more person.
I wish I had knocked on just one more door.
I wish I had phoned just a few more voters."
Don't do it.

Tonight, John McCain said the unthinkable. He said that today's workers will not be able to enjoy the same benefits upon retirement as today's retirees.

Land Of Sky Realty in Hendersonville, NC has a sign which reads, "Osama-Obama. Not American. Not Welcome" I heard on the news at noon that there are a few Obama supporters down there protesting, but I just called them. A woman answered and i just flat out said, "Hey, I'm just calling to voice my opposition to the sign. You guys need to take it down, it's vile and racist. Bye." I suggest we all do the same. FLOOD THEIR LINES! You'd think a realty company, already surely suffering during these hard economic times, wouldn't do anything to alienate potential buyers and hurt their business, but you'd be wrong. Here's a local paper's story about Obama's rally here in Asheville yesterday. It's near the end of the article: http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200881004049
CALL LAND OF SKY NOW AND EXPRESS YOUR OUTRAGE. Please do so respectfully: No swearing, threatening, screaming, etc.

Let's show this bigot that it is unacceptable to attack and defame Sen. Obama like that.

PS. The rally yesterday in Asheville was amazing! 28,000 inside, 6,000 outside and all of 100 Republican protestors. Pathetic. ;)
You can tell that things are going good for Senator Obama: first, the opposition is ramping up the slime machine with Govenor Palin leading the slime; and second, when you get 28,000 folks in Western North Carolina to come out to see Obama in a rally.
If you do a population comparison between Asheville (~80k) and Portland Oregon (~585k) and the size of the crowds (28K vs 80k) and the relative blueness of the region (Asheville's county, Buncombe county, far and away the bluest county in the region, went for Bush last election), things are moving on the correct direction. But now is the time to re-double our efforts. Go volunteer today!! Find a local campaign HQ or use the web tools, but get your behinds in gear. As of today, there are only 29 days to go.
Oh yeah, Senator Obama's speech was excellent too! :-)
What John McCain doesn’t seem to understand, my friends, is that just as you don’t hire an atheist to revive a failing church, you don’t elect a Republican to resuscitate the government.
Our financial markets are collapsing, our private sector has utterly failed to develop a quality health care system, and our transportation sector, unconstrained by stricter conservation requirements, has been a major driver of our unacceptable dependence on foreign oil and descent into a global warming crisis. Given the growing consensus that at least some government action may now be required, do we really want to put a government non-believer in charge of the effort?

Direct, Highly critical, yet non-mudlinging ad using Mccains own words to destory his laughable "Maverick" facade.
