Who do you think will get the nod for the V.P?
I'm so excited about this election season, I have always voted since I became of age to vote, but this is the only time I am actually getting involved in efforts of doing my part to help elect Senator Obama as our next President. I ask my fellow citizens of Gadsden county to join this great movement that has insipred and given hope to millions of Americans thus far. We cannot afford another 2000 election season, we must be informed this time around. In this group we will discuss and inform you of the issues and how important it is to be heard. Here is a article from foxreport.com this is why it is important for you all to join to that we can help inform and make a difference. So join your county in helping elect Obama in November. Search the site and join your county.
Voting right restored, but they don't know it "A St. Petersburg Times analysis found that while some 88,000 former nonviolent felons are newly eligible to cast a ballot for the first time in this presidential election, less than 10 percent, or roughly 8,200, were registered to vote as of the end of May.""The move to restore rights was originally expected to impact between 250,000 and 300,000 offenders. In reality, the number turns out to be closer to 115,000, once all the certificates get signed by the clemency board, according to the Florida Parole Commission."

Wow. This article speaks to the essence to which I (and a whole lot of other people) responded so viscerally after watching Barack’s speech at the 2004 Dem convention. I agree wholeheartedly ~ the “naysayers” are going to “naysay” anything that doesn’t fit in a box they can identify. The cynics will do what cynics do…be cynical. Then there are those of us who are willing to believe what we know to be true ….not what is easily explainable, not what can be 100% supported by logic or talking points. We know the real thing when we see it; an authentic being, whose motives are clear and whose intentions are positive and whose confidence is born of his own knowing, his own inner voice, rather than simply naked ambition or externally defined desires.
I believe a person like Barack is rare; in politics, perhaps even non-existent (or, more optimistically, hiding in wait for a climate change, in order to be confident and safe enough to emerge.) I have to believe that he has many more peers than we know of today….that they will thrive and increase in number, as time passes and we are called to be a more welcoming host for them. I believe that his being, who he is, will serve as a powerful example to everyone in the world, not just that they can achieve anything, but that there is a way to be beyond the limits of “business and politics as usual” and the ridiculous reflection of ourselves in mass media, which is only limited by our imagination. I believe Barack will do this not just rhetorically, but by example and because it is what he believes is true.
I see that he embodies that possibility ~ and because he is aware of that, he is supremely confident in such a way that swaggering is rendered moot; he is calm because there is no reason not to be; those who ridicule him for it will see that doing so is futile, because he understands and has real compassion for why they’re doing it, and knows it is not personal. I have never seen someone running for (or in) office who is so grounded in who he is, with so little ego. We have finally arrived at a time in our evolution as a species, as a country (and, with steadfast leadership, as a world) where we are ready to transcend the self-destructive habits of catering to the lowest common denominator and indulging our impulse for reflexive violence, and commit to elevating the cultural conversation. Part of doing so is enabling those who are open to it (and want it badly enough) to participate in that conversation, no matter how old or young or rich or poor or black or white or brown or male or female they are.
This is the polar opposite of “elitism.” It transcends money and class. If there is a word for what it is, I don’t know it yet…and I know a whole lot of words. I am honored to be part of and exhilarated by the promise of watching things evolve, here and around the world. I imagine conversations I’d have now with all of the cynics who have sucked away hours of my life energy telling me none of it would happen in our lifetime. I feel disproportionate satisfaction these days; it isn’t only about being a campaign volunteer. It is about finally seeing, every day, the “moment” I’ve known in my heart for decades would come in my lifetime. I look forward to Barack’s inauguration day, when I’ll conjure the memory of everyone who ever called me a “dreamer” (and thought they were insulting me) and say to their memory, “yes, I am ~ and look what all of us dreamers have done!”
In her 1997 book "The Healing of America" Marianne Williamson says that we are at a time in our evolution as a species when we are reaching “critical mass” ~ that only 10% of a population must adopt an idea before it becomes mainstream, seemingly overnight, no matter how many people have opposed it before. I look around my country and the world today and see a whole lot of mess, but also so many ways in which we are reaching that “critical mass,” where I choose to focus my attention, belief, energy, passion, talent and activism.
Tonight I saw a TV ad with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson sitting on a bench, urging everyone to work together to do all we can to remedy climate change and contribute our voice and ideas to Al Gore’s WeCanSolveIt.org It was a stunning moment. It made me want to call every cynic I’ve ever known and say “See what can happen when we believe long enough and strongly enough….when we don’t give up what we know in our hearts to be true, no matter how much we’re ridiculed or belittled?”
It was a stunning moment, right here in my living room…and I am not alone. We’re all sharing that “moment,” whether we’re aware of it or not, and millions of us will share many more moments like it in the years to come. Enough of us (that “critical mass”) manifested someone with the courage, wisdom and tenacity to take on being a leader in a new way, with all of the risks involved. We’re not finished…not by a long shot…and our time has arrived. Now it’s time to get down to business, whatever that looks like for each of us. What a difference, to know we will have a man like Barack Obama as the “brains of the organization” on our planet at last. (Forgive the arrogance of that last sentence….after the past 8 years, I’m not sure we have the right to claim “Leader of the Free World” as the subtitle to POTUS… We must all do what we can to restore that mantle.)
Mark Morford’s article tapped into a deep well which has been feeding my efforts for the past 16 months (and decades before that.) I drew from it every time I wondered if our efforts were working, if it was making a difference to dial those calls and talk to those strangers…if it was worth risking the personal embarrassment of doors slamming in our faces while canvassing…if it was worth losing sleep over, to take calls at midnight from college kids who didn’t yet have the confidence to use their own voices and needed some guidance to express their “why” powerfully when it was their turn to dial….all of it… all of us…This well of belief and faith isn’t mine. It is our country’s belief, our country’s faith, our country’s heart and soul… I’ve never felt anything like it, never been more inspired by anyone or anything in my life. Watching President Obama being sworn in on January 20 2009 will be the proudest day of my life ~ not just for myself, but for my country and the world.
Then, on January 21st , the rubber will meet the road at last….How exciting it is to anticipate what our lives will be called to then...how our world will be changed, in gradual and not-so-gradual and predictable and not-so-predictable ways. We live in interesting times.
Thanks for listening…and for all you do ~
love

Obama-Podcast.com
Hi All, I am depending on word of mouth for my Obama-Podcast.com's popularity to spread. Already almost 10,000 downloads since I started posting to it a month ago beginning with the Strath Haven High Town Hall. Nowhere else on earth can you find such a complete collection of April-May 2008 Barack & Michelle Obama plus a few surrogate event videos and audios. By the end of today I will have completed posting 33 complete episodes of their travels in PA, IN, NC, WV, KY, MO and MI with John Edwards Wednesday night in Grand Rapids in both mp3 audio and mp4 video mastered in High Definition for your portable digital media players.
Please take a look and tell a few friends about it. There is clear anecdotal evidence that while you may not be able to talk someone into supporting Barack, showing them a video will change their minds in a few minutes.
I built Obama-Podcast.com to help callers and canvassers with undecideds and McCain supporters. While it's fun to watch our guy in his entirety, the real point of the obama-podcast.com is to help you persuade the skeptical that Obama is the right choice in November.
Thanks for your friendship and support. Please help me spread the word about this outstanding resource I have built this Spring for all Obama volunteers and supporters.

Can anyone explain to me why Barack has no campagin stops in Kentucky?
Are "we" giving up on the blue-collar voter? Won't that hurt us in November?
I understood the need to head to Oregon with their mail-in ballots only election.
Why are Barack's next stop in Montana -- their contest isn't until June 3rd?
Does anyone know why "we" are campagining this way?
In only 2 days since I started publicizing the Obama Podcast on Sunday, it went from 2 Subscriptions to 145 subscriptions as of Tuesday evening. Thanks for passing this URL on to all the callers and door knockers. Undecideds and volunteers alike can finally get an in depth look at Senator Obama with these audios and videos.
The Monday talk with Working Families in Blue Bell PA audio is now up and video will be up in a few more hours. If any of you can take the initiative, please try to make sure all callers and door-to-door canvasers have this URL with them for undecideds and other volunteers to use to get more info about Barack.
ObamaPodcast.blogspot.com also listed in the iTunes Podcast Store FREE of course.
I flew into Louisville Wednesday afternoon from Philly but not soon enough to document Barack's Town Hall in New Albany IN. So I headed out to LaGrange KY where I have temporary accommodations with a volunteer until Monday.

I am a Macintosh and Multimedia Consultant and fun to be around. I need stability to be able to continue the videography of Barack Events, editing and posting. I will also be doing phoning and door to door work when nothing's happening and everything is posted to date. I walked door to door all day on Tuesday in the Philly area. I can provide references from the Springfield PA office as well as whom I stayed with.
The Springfield staff was thrilled that I was doing videos for everyone. Full support from their Manager and staff in that office.

As a volunteer coming from Michigan to Phlly, I was hoping that I might get a glimpse of our future President. Well last night amonst 35,000 people I could barely see him, yet today, I saw him up close as he stopped along various train stops, it was great and the people loved him.
He is more inspiring and has more spirit than ever before. YES WE CAN!

There was a time that I did not believe in the country. I did not believe in the people that lived in it. With the exception of the people in my own little circle.
Since I have been involved in this campaign and put myself out there to the people of my community and the people of my state and others. I have spent hours on the phone and went out and bought "Excel" for my computer so that I would have the ability to make spread sheets and communicate with the campaign more easily.
Talking to the people of this country I have made freinds that I would have never had made if it were not for this campaign. I have not been involved before so I dont know if this is something that happens to the "popular" campaigns. But I am assuming from what I have been told, that this is not the normal, this is not what "usually" happens.
I just wanted to tell eveyone that this blog is read by, everyone that is feeling doubt, that I am very hopeful. I feel that everyone that has touched this campaign has been pulled into something that was laying just beneith the surface of our concience. We have pulled together as a country from one coast to the other from north to south. We have traveled the country and made phone calls and knocked on doors. We stepped outside of our "boxes" and touched others with our hopes and dreams. We let it be known how we feel. We have learned about ourselves and how far we will go for something that is right. We all know deep down inside that we are working for the betterment of our country. The betterment of our lives. The betterment of the world.
We are not alone in this. We have seen on the blogs, people from all over the world calling to us for change. We talk to each other on the blogs and feel connected to something good. It has been very hard for me to watch the blogs being taken over by negitivity and spite. This is not what we come here for. People need to stop telling Barack what to do through the blogs. We have to trust in the campaign. They have not made a misstep so far. I know that they have a plan, and that plan is a winning one. The blogs, I believe, are a place for US to communicate, to pass information and to help each other when we are feeling scared, threatened or down. It is a place for us to tell our stories from the ground so that all of us feel like we are "there". It is a place to come and get pumped up. The blog is open for EVERYONE to see, even the other campaigns (yes even Mccain). So putting "plans" on there is counter productive for the campaign. Send them to HQ, dont give those good ideas to the other side! (lol)by putting it out there for all to see.
After NH everyone was on there asking for Barack to "attack" Hillary. He did not, and he won all of the following states for several weeks. We would be kidding ourselves if we thought it would not go negative, so we should have known it was going to go there. The Clintons are smart politically. They know how to hit hard. Barack is a smart man and his advisors are smart politicallyas well. He has and will stay above the frey.
Relax a little and bask in the glory that Barack is doing well, He is in first place! Could we have seen this leading up to Iowa? We always hoped. But maybe never really imagined it. Lets just keep working. Lets spread our hope, love, and change to everyone that we encounter. Lets keep up with our own Obamamania going.
So, the state of the race (according to me): WE ARE DOING GREAT! WE ARE WINNING! WE ARE SMART! WE ARE GREAT! WE ARE WONDERFUL! WE ARE GOING TO WIN!!!!!
