Barack moves back ahead of HRC for the Black vote in South Carolina, but get in on the comments regarding the results of the latest poll and support our candidate and why he should be moving forward. As we know Daily Kos is a major player in the Presidential Election this year.
Not just one, but all eight of the black elected legislators in California stood together and endorsed Barack today for President. Finally, the first sign of a unified front from our black elected. Maybe the rest of our black elected in America will follow there example. Maybe, we should forward this article to each of our black elected encouraging them to follow suit and the importance of supporting each other. We had a wonderful time last night at our 9/11 Peace Vigil. Everyone brought an inspiring spirit and together we joined hands in remembering the families, rescue workers and victimes of 9/11. We even had a channel 13 Action News crew film a small portion of the program, but I didn't see it on the news last night.
Many drivers showed their support by honking their horns and gave "shout outs." Karen and Kevin brought a dozen or so candles that lit the entire area. Some carried signs and American flags, and Carolyn read a touching poem she wrote about 9/11. We joined hands and prayed together followed by a moment of silence. After listening to inspirational "peace" songs and a monologue of those fallen, everyone lit their individual candle as a tribute.
From the feeback, everyone felt good about particpating and being a part of a 9/11 event. It was nice to see new Obama supporters joining us. Thanks to everyone that took time out of their busy schedules to participate. We demonstrated to our community that we have not forgotten and that Obama Volunteers care.
