Dear Family,We are 1,000 strong and growing every day. The New Movement in Tampa Bay is gaining strength with the support of each and every one of you. To date our campaign has more supporters than any other in this race. Your trust and support means so much to me. It is by the efforts of all of us that our community will see real improvement to the quality of our lives. And, as your State Representative in District 60, I will always support legislation that will improve the quality of life for everyone in the district. As a taxpayer you face a choice in the coming election. Who do you want to represent you in Tallahassee?Florida faces critical decisions on healthcare, education, and energy reform. With a budget shortfall looming in the billions, who is it that you want making these critical decisions? Someone who has faced the same trials and tribulations you have or someone who has not? The status quo of doing business in Tallahassee is no longer acceptable. We need progressive and fresh ideas to get Florida through the current crisis. We can no longer have leaders representing us that spend irresponsibly, and then give breaks to special interests, while we the taxpayers foot the bill.As a community we will head to the ballot booths in August and November of next year and let it be known that we want progress. We will let it be known that we will not accept business as usual. Business is not good and it is we who are suffering because of the decisions made by a select few. We will stand up, we will organize, and we will let them know there is a New Movement in Tampa Bay. This movement is something special, and each of you has a role to play in it. Spread the word to your friends and neighbors. Let them know that we have the opportunity to have a leader that represents us.This is our time Tampa Bay. This next election is our chance to lay the strong foundation upon which we will build a better Florida for us all. We will work to support healthcare reform so all will have a right to life. We will work to ensure our children have a world-class education to compete in the global economy. And, we will work to ensure that our environment is preserved for generations to come while our dependence on fossil fuels is changed forever. The opportunity for new revenue streams and an end to special interests gaining a free ride on the taxpayers’ backs is what we will work for to see a more economically stable Florida. These real improvements to our lives will not happen without hard work and dedication. So I ask each and every one of you to do your part. You can start today by inviting 10 friends to join our campaign. This will see an exponential growth in our movement and show those who wish only for the status quo that we want progress. This is your movement Tampa Bay and this is our time. Thank you for your continued to support.-ChrisP.S. Our campaign needs the support of each and every one of you. If each of you could donate $10.00 by September 25, 2009, our campaign will be in the driver’s seat for this election. Visit www.CANO460.com and contribute today!

Well just got done doing my post at the voting place. sent my emails.put up more signs,
So lets hope for a big win have a great night everybody.
…A ray of hope flickers in the sky.
A tiny star lights up way up high.
All across the land dawns a brand new morn’.
This comes to pass when a child is born…
Lyrics from a song
We now know that Madelyn Durham, Obama’s beloved grandmother, has died. How cruel it seems that she dies just hours before what we’re waiting for. But we must believe that she knows.
Wow, Ms.Durham, look what the child you helped raise has done. RIP.
…A silent wish sails the seven seas.
The winds of change whisper in the trees.
And the walls of doubt tumble, tossed and torn.
This comes to pass when a child is born.…
(Or a new president is elected:>)
You might say that I'm jumping ahead a bit. Okay, so I'm jumping ahead a bit.
I write this in memory of my dad who was so very proud of his service to his country during WW II and who taught me to care. A Movement
It began as a small band of believers talking on the phone, at church, at the office water cooler, etc.
Others were listening -- skeptical, wary, restless but interested, hopeful.
The talk grew more serious, the voices grew louder; the hope became a determination.
The rumors spread from the agents of hate, ignorance and fear – lies, distortions, threats spread across the nation.
Despair also grew like a cancer as the price for trickle down economics became all too clear.
But through it all the voices continued the same cry for change. They just kept getting louder, stronger and more resolute.
More and more joined the throng of those who would not be denied -- not this time; blacks, whites, rich, poor, young, old, Republicans, Democrats, Independents just kept singing the same refrain, and they were relentless.
They cried, pleaded, hoped, sang and they would not stop.
They would not go silent; they would not give up.
They just kept repeating that one word that said it all:
“Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama! Obama...!”
And, God Bless ‘em, they won!

Per: Obama Action Wire
There's a dangerous rumor going around the internet in Florida right now, and it's being repeated by some news outlets. To be clear: when you vote in Florida, the address on your identification CAN be different than your registration address. Thousands of voters around Florida could be discouraged from voting or even denied their rights based on this misunderstanding. And nobody knows better than Floridians how big a difference even a few votes can make. We need to make sure this false rumor isn't reported as truth and alert people to the facts. Write a letter to the editor of your local paper now and help preserve voting rights. The voter identification law is relatively new, and there is a lot of honest confusion around what will be required of Florida voters this November. But this election is too important to let the confusion go uncontested. With the devastating effects of the Bush-McCain economic policies being felt worse than ever, millions of Americans are counting on the change that only Barack Obama and Joe Biden can bring. Once this rumor gets established in people's minds, it will be very hard to dislodge. That's why we need to act now to push back with the truth. With our easy-to-use letter tool, it's simple to write and send letters to your local paper. Check it out now and help get the message out: http://fl.barackobama.com/FLvoting Keep fighting the good fight, Obama Action Wire

Not that anyone needs any more reasons to vote for Barack Obama, but here are some clips I found on you tube that Sink McCain. It is unbelievable that someone with his radical views is one step away from the white house.

Keep in mind when you are watching the above that McCain and Cindy were married 5 weeks after he and his first wife were divorced! Soon after that he began his career in politics.

Above: McCain showcases his singing talents
This is just a few examples that scare the bejones out of me! We'll keep fighting the good fight, and I will remain hopeful that we will come out on top. Don;t stop signing people up to vote!!!!!
I can only say that I have not laughed this hard in a long time.
While watching CNN I almost felt like vomiting while Gov.Palin was on stage.
McCain has lost his mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could they have looked any more akward on stage together.
Then she tries talking about Sen. Clinton in the most sicking attempt at wining women voters, soley because she is a woman and the crowd boos.
If I were a woman I would be so insulted!
Sen.Biden is going to bury her in the debates.
Sen Obama will make Sen. McCain dizzy during their debate.
Wow!!!! Christmas came early thanks Sen.McCain.
America will once be the greatest nation on Earth!
P.S.
The Convention Rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part of this post should be on the last posting - see my battery died in my car last Thursday. No time for a new one, though! Gotta get home from St. Pete's volunteer meeting - gotta get up at 5:30 the next morning to carpool back to St. Pete. Worry about the battery later!
And it was all worth it - the town hall format was intimate compared to the Forum. And Sen. Obama was gracious, intelligent and personable. I enjoy watching the faces of those that come to see him. It really highlights his charisma. He can work a room all right! I look forward to more visits ... and seeing Michelle back in the Tampa Bay area soon.
All the hours spent walking the streets, organizing volunteers and making phone calls are worth it when you get a chance to see the candidate. We all know what this is for and the importance, but I thought that hearing him talk about the economic issues that are pressing to all of us brought the focus clear for me. It gave me the resilience to not only get out there and keep working for the Democratic candidates that can help him bring the CHANGE - but also to get to an auto parts store and get a battery!
p.s. the kids got a kick out of seeing me on CNN - I was a celebrity to them for a day!
