Hello Good People of the All-Important Vigil to Restore America...
I know this is gonna sound weird... especially after the noxious odor emanating from that bubble-headed fascist Sarah Palin... but I believe John McCain is under more of a threat of violence right now than Barack.
While it is true that most in the old money old white guy network hates the idea of a black president (or even a mocha hybrid like Barack)... the one thing those fossils understand is money... and Barack Obama smells like green to me.
He will open oil markets in Africa WIDE where he is uniformly considered a cultural hero... the same holds true in all muslim countries where skin color is more a futuristic chocolaty blend.
Yes... the racist appeals are elliciting the most vile kinds of affirmation, but as the polls clearly show... the wildfire of hate and fear the Republican machine/Karl Rove's proteges and minions have been counting on is NOT materializing. In fact... McCain did more than just rebuke that ignorant old lady's assertion that Obama is an Arab... he practically endorsed Obama by saying America had nothing to fear in an Obama Presidency... that indeed Obama was a good American and decent family man.
What is most significant about McCain's sincere and beleagured defense of Obama is that it directly contradicts a very pointed fear and loathing ad campaign the republicans have been running with increasing ferocity for weeks.
Translation? McCain is directly contradicting the dictates and strategy of the Republican Machine he sold his soul to by kissing the Bush Family ring in that grotesque hugathon with Georgie boy. Combine this with the fact that Palin is regularly contradicting McCain's policy positions out on the trail... and the fact that she did not play the traditional VP role in her debate... but rather, used the debate as a platform to promote herself for a 2012 run, and it becomes clearer still that the GOP has already given up on McCain 2008, and is actually running a Sarah Palin 2012 campaign right now.
That is why I am more concerned about the well-being of McCain, a man who NEVER had the full and sincere support of the rabid fascist Republican base. They may just decide that they really don't want to wait until 2012, in which case McCain's safety becomes a real issue.
Sarah Palin is nothing but a thinly veiled ignorant fascist automaton... she is beyond conscience and beyond rational thought. She is an enemy of the people... in other words... the ultimate Republican candidate.
For our part... and despite Barack's ten point lead in the polls... we need to push for a record setting landslide so we offer the Republicans no possible chance of stealing yet another election.
I wish it was election day tomorrow... but in the meantime, we'll just keep pushing that boulder until it finally goes over the top... cause if we can make that happen... America's best days truly are ahead of us.
Here's to hoping and praying that after eight years of holding our breath... we'll finally be able to breathe free once again. Imagine that... America for ALL Americans and not just for and by the thieving raping corporo-fascists in Republican clothing.

Put simply...such selling out of the American middle class is nothing short of treason... and every single elected official and administration appointee who keeps on cashing a paycheck while saying and doing nothing about this national and now international ripoff of the working class, is complicit in this most serious and terroristic of crime waves.
