I though I would post this on here, It's my story and opinion I offered to the President's cause. I hope someone listens.
I am no longer covered under my parents' insurance plan, though I am still a college student. They failed to send a cancellation notice, and instead sent us a bill for my blood work and doctor's visit, totalling about $500. That may not seem like much, but to a poor college student, paying my own way through university with a part-time job, it was a lot. It was definitely a lot to have been forced upon me with no notice. My father and I fought with the company for months before they finally sent a cancellation notice for a later date, thus covering the disputed costs. It was an unnecessary struggle I do not wish to repeat. The result is now, I cannot afford to go to the doctor and when I got flu like symptoms a month ago, all i could do is rest and wait it out. Thankfully it went away after a week. That is now how I must operate. One thing my family is concerned with is that I have a thyroid problem, which left unattended could worsen my general health in the long run. That's what the disputed blood work was testing. However, even if I wish it, I cannot afford to do anything about that situation. Even before I had to worry about my lack of health coverage, the idea of profiting off of health offended me deeply. I am against the idea of insurance which adds middle-man bureaucracy only concerned with how wide their profit margins can grow. Health care should be a right and not a privilege for the wealthy. I support the idea of a single payer system, where my taxes are raised to pay for my health care. I believe, in this system, it would be easier to implement a PREVENTATIVE health care system which would save us more costs preventing serious illness early. Please, Congressmen and women, for once consider what is best for our society as a whole, regardless of concerns about re-election bids being affected. If re-election is your main agenda, then you are not truly representing the people. I implore you to create a system to benefit the future of America. That's for what your elected position is meant.Power with inaction, isn't power at all. Thank you, and I hope to the fruits of your labor soon. A deeply concerned citizen, Lindsey Allen,

By now many of you have seen the email floating around, especially here in Texas about the horrors of voting "a straight democratic ticket" that results in Obama not being selected. Not only is this not true it has the adverse effect of deselecting Obama if you also vote for him within the list.
SPREAD THE WORD! EARLY VOTING STARTS MONDAY...IF THE OTHER EMAILS CONTINUES IT COULD BE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO ALL OF OUR HARD WORK AND MONEY!!!!
The actual link to the story from Dallas Morning News can be found here for anyone wanting to verify its validity: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D93R2C780.html
I was compelled to share this piece I recieved via email today:
To All of the Brick Layers.........Keep moving forward and reach for what OTHERS say is impossible!

I have been a long-time Democratic and I have done my best to remain as un-bias as anyone can expect to be while watching the RNC. Especially, when taking into account one’s own life experiences, personal values and morals that each of us has been socialized with since birth.
Wow was that a Great acceptance speech last night
Barack Obama has got to be the next Preident of the United States of America
We need his Leadership and Change in Washington
Lets all get committed and Lets Get To Work

"I am open to it," Clinton replied, if it would help the party's prospects in November.

Presumptive Nominee, Obama,
I respectfully request that you NOT entertain the idea of adding Mrs. Clinton to the ticket. Why? It will not help the party win in November and you would have to have your food tasted at every sitting.
Wouldn't it be nice if we greeted Bush with a Blue Texas once he comes back from Washington? Well, we need to pay more attention to local politics as well as the general election. Here is one specific brave woman running for office whom I met at an Obama meeting in my County. She an underdog too and needs our support! It's Karen Guerra!

"I have been a trial attorney for more than seventeen years. I am proud of my profession. I have never sought wealth or fame. I am not a politician. Why then, am I running for public office? As an attorney, I am entrusted by the People of Texas to preserve and improve our legal system. I am seeking election as Judge of the 16th District Court, because I believe that I can make a difference to improve the administration of justice for the citizens of Denton County. The district courts are vitally important to the citizens of our State, since they are the primary trial courts in Texas. We need judges with experience in all areas of the law and who will be fair and impartial. The citizens of Denton County want judges who will make rulings based on the evidence and the applicable laws, regardless of the Judge’s personal beliefs and regardless of the parties or attorneys involved. I will be such a judge. I do not owe favors to anyone for donating big money, for pulling strings to put me in power, or for voting deals or political favors. Although I am running for office as a Democrat, I am not seeking office merely to promote a political party’s agenda. I am running for office because we need a change. If elected, I pledge to work hard for the citizens of Denton County. I will treat all parties and attorneys with respect. I will be fair and impartial. I will make prompt rulings, because justice delayed is justice denied. I will be available. We need judges to spend more time in the courtroom and less time working on getting re-elected. I will schedule cases to make the best use of available resources and to avoid lengthy delays. I will not claim to know everything, but I have the intelligence and experience to determine what is right. I am offering experience, dedication, and integrity, and I am asking for your support."
Her website has lot's more information if you are curious about more! Please go there! If people know about other local candidates and want to share a little or at least get out websites for them, please do post them!
I want to know a lot more about my local candidates so that they aren't just names on a ballot!
I feel like there should be some easier way to educate everyone on local candidates, because you really have to look for them. I wish it to be more prominent, since they affect our lives more than the President generally does.
I'll continue this topic later, but please support local candidates too! Educate yourself and others! Give me more names and websites and platforms!
Thanks everyone!

My name is Susan & I live in Grand Prairie, TX. I'm in District 9, Precinct 4525. In the caucus, I was chosen as a delegate & actually the Delegate Chair (??) for the county convention on March 29. I'm just wondering if you have any info on if/how we're getting organized as delegates? Just hoping for any info you might have. Thanks for your time!
Yes, We Can!susana.k.a. Hope in Texas
Alright, so i stuck out the Texas PrimaCaucus and now I am officially an Obama delegate that's attending the Denton County convention on March 29th.
I know all this. What i need to know is, what happens at that convention and afterwards?
Please let me know!
I am really excited to be a part of this process, but I want to know what to expect!
Precinct 313 in Highland Village. There was 48 for Hillary and 32 for Obama but keep in mind the neighborhood is Hillary constituents, older white women.
That took 2 and a half hours OUTSIDE and for several precincts. It was a huge turnout; created horrible traffic and everything. I personally parked a couple streets away and walked the rest.
so there was 6 delegates for Hillary and 4 for Obama and I am one of the Obama delegates going to the county convention on March 29 and hopefully on to the state convention in Austin in June!
Even though i nearly froze, it was still exciting!
