When Barack entered this race, he put his faith in the power of ordinary supporters like you coming together and building a movement for change from the bottom up.That's exactly how we got this far -- and you should feel proud of all we have accomplished together. But with just 16 days left in this election, we can't slow down now. Please take a minute to watch the video and find out where we stand:https://donate.barackobama.com/septembernumbersThanks for everything you're doing,DavidDavid PlouffeCampaign ManagerObama for America

This action of Obama is both strategic and tactical, while at the same time exploring the pragmatism of his positivism for the commonality of every Americans.
God bless USA
God Bless Obama & Biden
The current political dispensation has indeed as a matter of fact produces one of the best scenario that evidently can be used in the near future to compare and contrast the capacity and incapacity, the calm and agitation, the objectivity and subjectivity and above all the relationship that existed within the two political parties; the Democrat on one side and the Republican on the other hand.
In recent times it is just unbelievable and exceedingly gratifying to hear, feel and watch the near unanimous consensus that Sen. Obama has displayed in an unequivocal term the sterling qualities of a would be- commander in chief of the country and for good reasons too. In spite of the obsessive negativity and dogmatism from the Sen. McCain’s campaign which for the first time in the history of the country have surrogates referring to a rival presidential candidate of the United States of America as a terrorist, this young, vibrant, articulate, humane and ever forgiving and calm senator from Illinois has remained largely unaffected and unmovable in his goal of working with ordinary Americans to help turn the page.
It is a fact and within the horizon of realism that we are witnessing the worst socio-economic scenarios in the country- a situation that has plunged the image of the United States of America into the abysses and simply put ridicule the conception that we are indeed the super power of the world in context of social, political and economic prowess. The reality of the matter is that given the past eight years, the country has seen the dwindling of her fortune in such an exponential level that today it is true to surmise that China, Japan, Russia are now within striking distance in terms of influencing global affairs and even championing motions that may be contrary to the fundamentalism of the United States of America.
Do you have some free time tomorrow?? As you know, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, and a host of other news programs are/will be in Nashville to cover the debates. The campaign is looking for volunteers to be present in the quad area of Belmont to show the world that Tennessee loves Obama!! Below are the shift times:
If you volunteer, the campaign is asking that you follow these principles:
If you would like to volunteer, please call the Victory ’08 Headquarters at (615) 244-1244 to tell them which shift you would like to work. In addition, if you know of any other Obama supporters who would be interested, please pass this along.
Thanks!

Without an iota of doubt and sequel to the position that Sen. Obama has long maintained, the economic status of the country is far more important and of indispensable necessity to securing a vibrant and energetic nation that has the pragmatic capacity to influence the world and lead it into the next phase of prosperity and humanity.
The Wall Street crisis that has long been with us is now finally emerging in a fashion that must be dealt with and quickly otherwise the world is at risk of experiencing global recession and the pain that such an inimical situation is going to cause at home is better imagine than described.
Within the horizon of realism no matter the experience that Sen. McCain may have claimed to have, the mere fact that he is completely out of touch with the economic reality of our time and coupled with the limited limitation and myopia of the dogma of militarism and unilateralism that have been the main focus of his campaign, America as a nation cannot squander yet another opportunity to get it right.
This letter was meant to send to you Guys Wednesday night, due to the fact that McCain had suspended his campaign, I was a little bit reluctant. After concluded that there are two main reasons for his move, I decided to post it on my blog and to send it to you anyways. First the national polls show that Senator Obama has been on a steady rise since last week, so McCain is trying to create distraction. Second it is also a way to have his VP nominee to get more coaching time, for the vice presidential debate.
Of course we are in a dire crisis, congress and the white house have to come up with a solution to fix that mess, however John Mc Cain move is nothing less than an act of desperation. As Senator Obama stated “this is exactly the time when we need to hear from the person who will be the next president, it is going to be part of the president's job to deal with more than one thing at once”. So supended a campaign, and tried to cancel the debate, that is senseless. As we are all aware, McCain is the most absentee in the Senate, suddenly he wants to get credit by trying to cancel the debate, if they don’t reach a solution for the bailout, - Give me a break.
Thanks Goodness Senator Obama is a very intelligent man; he accepted Bush’s invitation to be there. Sorry Mr. McCain the credit that you’re trying to get won’t work; we all understand your move, we won’t get distracted. The debate has to move forward.
Anyways, here is my letter:
Greetings Friends;
Just to remind you that the last day to register to vote is October 6th (10/06). We have less than forty days until the Election Day, yet there are lots of people out there who love Obama who are not yet registered or never registered to vote. I recently met two people who are Obama supporters, and they were telling me how they could not wait to see Obama in the office, however, they’ve never registered to vote, after talking to them and explained to them how one vote makes a difference, they understood and decided to register, and I had the chance to register them myself. Although you might not be able to have voter registration forms with you, but you could advise people to go to their local government offices such as DMV, Public Libraries, Public Assistance Offices, College Registrar’s Offices, and get the applications or they could also register on line: http://my.barackobama.com/vfc www.VoteForChange.com I’m encouraging you to make a difference, go out there, don’t be afraid to talk to your friends, ask them to talk to their friends, family, neighbors and advise them where to go, to register to vote.
Early voting has already started in some States such as Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Virginia, if you have friends and family members who live there, call them and remind them to go and vote early to avoid standing in long lines. Also, don’t forget to watch the presidential debates, invite your friends and supporters, have a debate watch party. The debate will help the people who are still undecided to hear directly from the senator where he stands on the issues that are main concerned to the middle class, such as health care, education, taxes, ECT.
Mark your calendar
September 26th First Presidential Debate
October 7th Second Presidential Debate
October 15th Third Presidential Debate
The Vice Presidential Debate is on October 2nd
This is a very crucial moment; this race is too close and too important to stay home and not doing our part, we need to help Senator Obama win this election. Get involved and Be the Change.
Cordially,
Marjorie
Yes indeed what a pleasant surprise to see Sen. Obama on the podium with the Biden’s family. America is yet to see the dynamism, articulation and authenticity that the Obama- Biden ticket will bring to the lives of Americans and help reclaim the loss glory of the nation.
God bless Obama & Biden
After watching Senator Obama electrified the convention in Boston Massachusetts 2004, by calling for unity to a divisive politics which turns Americans against each other. One of my favorite quote from his speech. “There's not a liberal America and a conservative America; there is the United States of America. There's not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America; there is the United States of America” I said to myself what a gifted charismatic speaker.
However, I started to like him in 2006 when he went on Oprah with his wife Michelle to promote his book, The Audacity of Hope; Then in February 2007 while I was New York a friend of mine bought me the book the same day he declared his candidacy on the steps of the old Statehouse in Springfield, Illinois. When I got back to Nashville, I started reading the book, and done some more research about him, I bought his Autobiography Dreams from My Father which is a great book; as I’m reading the book I felt the need to get involved but did not know how since I leave in Smyrna, TN, and did not know any democrat person in town.
Sometime in July 2007, I noticed a gentleman in Nashville wearing an Obama button on his shirt. I was reluctant to approach him, and then he smiled at me. So I went over and asked him “Are you going to vote for Obama”, He introduced himself and stated “Only if you help us with the Campaign”. I have never been involved in a campaign before, and I thought to myself that could be an exiting experience, so I smiled back at the gentleman and told him that I could do some volunteers. We exchanged contact info and he promised to inform and invite me in every event relating to the Obama campaign. That gentleman name is Williams Miles Owens (Billy O.) Committeeman-District 19; Davidson County Democratic Executive Committee; He is 72 years Young. He did keep his promise.
On November 2007 he introduced me to the Obama Camp and met some wonderful people who kept me posted on all the events there were having. Sometime in December I started doing volunteer at the headquarters in Nashville, although I live in Smyrna, I used to go there everyday until I registered with Build the Hope and started doing phone banking at home, I called everybody in my town Smyrna and Lavergne, who was registered in the data base.
In January 2008 I joined Murfreesboro for Obama which is closer to where I live, so I got more involved in doing Phone banking, canvassing, visibility, rally, you name it, and I was there with my nine year old son. Just to mention that Billy O took my son to the voting machine to show him how to vote at the Straw Poll in Nashville, I’m also currently an Assistant Organizer for Murfreesboro for Obama
One of the greatest time doing phone banking during the primary seasons at the Headquarters was on a Wednesday morning; I made a phone call and the gentlemen who answered the phone said ” I’m a republican but I will send some money to help the campaign”; that was a shock for me, so I told Jennifer Buck Wallace the site director about that .Later one I come to realize that America is really ready to welcome the agent of change so it was alright for the republican to support the campaign financially . I also had the chance to talk to a former navy veterans who lives in Murfreesboro who had been a republican all his life, I talked to him and he ended up changing his mind about voting for a republican and voted for Obama ,this man even went to one of the event I invited him in Nashville .
Being involved in the campaign is one of the greatest experiences for me because I never thought that I would be involved in a presidential campaign, considering the way they treated politicians when I was growing up in my birth country.
Today I’m not afraid to get involved because like any other American I do not want to have another Bush /McCain economy; I have a Master’s degree in Public Administration, I’ve been looking for a job for the past four years. Due to the economy, all I’ve gotten is rejection letter. I’m grateful now I got a job just to pay my rent and feed my child ; but it’s not even close to start repaying my student loans which I have been in debt forbearance of another year. I would like to encourage anyone to go out there get involved, wear your Obama buttons, wear your Obama shirts ,put the bumper stickers on your car ,talk to your friends guide them to barackobama.com so they could learn more about the senator and get involved .
I still meet people who do not know much about him ,when I try to talk to them they are still believe the lies that they portray the senator in negative term ,but as soon as they hear the truth about him, about his agenda and what he stands for they are willing to listen. For instance, I went to my God daughter’s birthday party in New York last spring, My son and I we both wore our Obama t-shirts, and, one parent who was there came and asked me about the shirt so I took the opportunity to talk not only to her but also to the other parents about Senator Obama. Some of them were still undecided because they did not know much about him so after talking to them they were willing to go and do some research on their own. So let us be part of that historical moment because it’s worth it. We do not need another four years of Bush/McCain.
However this time around it is not going to work, since yesterday have thought us the lesson of today. Happy reading and passing on!
God bless Obama

There is no doubt in the minds of even Sen. McCain’s supporters that most unfortunately and regrettably too this admired and veteran senator have recently set the all time record in approving the most lopsided, demeaning, unpatriotic, desperate and the most bizarre advertisement in the current political dispensation in which he attempts to characterize Sen. Obama, a fellow American and presidential rival to celebrities such as Paris and Britney.
What was he thinking?
In one of the latest poll released from the University of Wisconsin which monitors the advertisements from the both campaign, it had been found that over 90% of Sen. Obama’s ads does not mention Sen. McCain, while the same institution found the reverse to be the case with the McCain’s.
While it is true that rivals need to raise doubts about their opponents as part of political manipulation and maneuvering, it is nevertheless unbecoming to engage in blatant maliciousness, mischievousness and distortions of a rival’s character or ideologies just for mere political gain. Sen. Obama as a matter of fact does not fit into the kind of descriptive orchestration and propagations that Sen. McCain has painted for the world to see.
What has the current administration done about the rising oil prices?
How and who determines the prices of oil?
What are the political implications of fluctuations in that industry and the oil prices?
The news coming out of New York Wall Street is that the prices of oil have tumbled down to about $128 per barrel (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080719/ap_on_bi_ge/oil_prices). Whether this development is suggestive of a bubble in the same way that we are witnessing in the housing market remains largely as a speculation. Nevertheless the point that is worth stressing is the simple economic principles of demand and supply.
Contrary to the call for offshore drilling as the only veritable solution to our foreign oil dependency, the fact that within a week the prices of oil could fall in such a record breaking manner in my opinion is clearly suggestive of the obvious fact that a reduction in energy demand especially those using oil might likely further reduce the prices.
In light of the above, it is therefore imperative that the country heed to the call by Sen. Obama for a greener America and the utilization of alternative energy sources. Pursuance to the above, it is worth noting the holistic perspective, position and challenges that Vice President Al Gore has issued to the American people.
It does not therefore matter whether the incumbent administration is in any way involves with the tempering of oil prices either directly or indirectly and for whatsoever reasons whether political or not. What matters most is that the prices are coming down and America must learn to manage what it has.

I am amused and at the same time very pleased by the action of Sen. McCain in asking the question where is Sen. Obama in his town hall meetings across the nation. One of the interesting developments from his inclination about wanting Sen. Obama to “show up” in my opinion clearly demonstrated his lack of appeal and objective publicity in the absent of the later. Furthermore, Sen. McCain is asking the American people either by omission and commission that his town hall meetings needed to be legitimize by and with the presence of the dynamic, energetic, humane and transparent senator from Illinois.
Retrospectively, I have always maintained that Sen. McCain and his campaign should be concern with issues that bothers the American people rather than detrimentally seek domestic and international publicity by indirectly dragging the name of Sen. Obama into his speeches. I have not heard from the campaign and people’s movement for hope and change we can believe in, in the country asked for Sen. McCain to be present in our town hall meetings and conferences.
With all due respect Sen. McCain is beginning to recognize his capacity and capability limitations and coupled with his unpopular, dogmatic, archaic and solely politically motivated and inclined standings it is unquestionable that the wiser American populations know better than allow a repetition of the year 2000, in which by design and sentimentalism we are were we are today.
She concluded, “Anyone who voted for me has so much in common with those who voted for Barack and it is critical that we join forces, because the Democratic Party is a family, sometimes a dysfunctional family, but it is a family and we care about what’s going to happen to the economy and health care and education and what happens in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

It is now time to get over the Democratic Party primaries and begin the realistic drive to make change happen in the country and I am eternally grateful for Sen. Clinton’s ability to make this transition for the sake of the country and its people.
How much more can one say other than to say thank you to Sen. Clinton and all those who supported her and will continue to support her as we move along in anticipation of a new phase and lease of life from the socio-economic strangulation that have become a second nature in the country.
Thank you so much Sen. Clinton and all those who supported you and are now willing to emulate your sacrifices for the sake of the people, democracy and above all the country.
