I personally thought that if this was any kind of a just country that Obama would win by @ 15% margin. This is a clear example of the power of a good man running for president coupled with a high level of communication that reaches the public at the highest level of convenience. The ironic thing is that the republican party could not attempt to do this because it requires an honest party with an honest cadidate in order for them to willingly be exposed so openly and easily. That is why Barrack won by a 100% margin. That is why the republicans sat there on T.V. at John McCain's election watch party with egg on their face because they did their best and pulled every dirty trick that they had as usual and were still thoroughly trounced. That is why the elitists out there were in tears as they watched and realized that Obama has changed the game forever and even the highest level of government must now listen to and answer to the new era welly connected and unified mainstreet massess that are now more highly informed due to the wide spread acceptance and understanding of the internet. Well done.Man, I thought that I would never get to see this day.

Dear Friends,
The McCain camp is getting ready to try to attack Barack Obama's character. They have nothing else and can feel this election slipping away from them. Let's pray that America is not fooled by such tactics.
If you have not read, The AUDACITY of HOPE, by Barack Obama, please get a copy now. One of the first things I noticed before I read any of his books, was that it appeared to me for the first time that a politician had values, integrity and morals. He is not perfect, but he holds himself accountable to the responsibility of Values and what it means. That meant so much to me. It was a breath of fresh air. I immediately signed on because I knew he had character that was evident and I promised to do anything I could to support him. I knew I could live with how he approached issues because his value system was important to him and he lived his life accordingly. I have picked out a few lines from his book so you may better understand what I am talking about. An excerpt from his book:
Listen, we need to know as people what is important to us. Do we want a leader that is willing to do anything to win a campaign? Or do we want somebody that can lead this nation to the moral, ethical and respectful standing we should be? Character counts, How can we get anybody to follow our lead if we don't have any?
Please pass this email along to everyone you know. WE MUST PUSH THIS AS AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION FOR PICKING OUR NEXT PRESIDENT.

I read and article about voter disinfranchisement today, it is pretty scary, they know they can't win fair and square so they are gonna try to cheat their way into the WH again! The article stated that they were gearing up to challenge voters who lost their homes through forclosure. Their argument is that if you no longer have a house you no longer have the right to vote.
The article said that they would send out mass mailings to high forclosure neighborhoods and mark "do not forward" on a post card. The postcards that come back undeliverable would be used to challenge the vote of the person that used to live at that address. Is this true? Are they really going to try to take away the vote of so many hard working citizens just because they got caught up in this housing debacle?
What can we do to prevent this from happening this time?
So thrilled that we are taking charge and fighting back against the mountain of lies and distortions being hurled our way.
I always knew they were desperate but had no idea they could sink so very low. The ad about teaching children about sexual preditors was the last straw!
I am going to do whatever I can and so should YOU.
We need to get out there and make sure our votes are counted.
Sarah Palin
By Patricia Wilson-Smith
The Republican Convention has been nothing if not entertaining. I started to skip the whole thing - I thought it would just be too darned hard to watch so many uppity people casting aspersions on my favorite Senator and yours. But I tuned in, and after three nights of truth-bending rhetoric, name calling and selective memory recall from the Republican smash machine, I’m alright. I’m just fine.
It was yesterday, during Sarah Palin’s speech that a deep calm came over me. Somewhere around the time when Ms. Palin began to mock Senator Obama’s background in community organizing. It was then, right then, that I realized that these people either a) have no idea what they’re up against, or b) can’t admit it to themselves. Either way, I’m golden.
Of what do I speak you ask? Well, you heard it - the notion put right out there for the world to see and hear by none other than the unqualified-one herself, Sarah Palin, that Senator Obama’s work as a community organizer consisted of no ’actual responsibilities’. Which is to say (I guess) that his skills as an organizer have also had no impact on the campaign, or will hold no relevence for his presidency. That’s funny to me. Is it funny to you?
If it isn’t it should be. Way back when, during the days leading up to the hotly contested Texas primary, I found myself in Austin, Texas in a high-rise building phone-banking with total strangers, when Ashley Collier, one of the Obama campaign’s field directors walked up to me and exclaimed excitedly, “Miss Pat, is that you?!?” I had worked with Ashley and many of the other campaign workers in the Atlanta office during the Georgia primary run up. I had helped plan events, held phone-banking nights at the campaign office, etc., and so I had gotten to know Ashley pretty well.
Space was at a premium in the suite of offices that was the epicenter of Obama campaign activity in Austin. I had had to battle it out with retirees and college students for desk space to spread out the call sheets that I was working from each day. To my delight, Ashley advised me that she shared a small cramped office with two other campaign employees who happened to be out of the office on that particular day, and that she would be happy to let me crash with her to do my work while I was there. I was thrilled - it made me feel like a campaign insider!
I’ll never forget the time I spent with Ashley there that day. We talked about her work on the campaign, the crazy ‘Texas Two-Step’, her thoughts about Obama’s chances, and the empassioned men and women that made up the volunteer corps of the campaign. We talked about the success of Camp Obama, and I mentioned to her how tight a ship the campaign leadership seemed to run. And that’s when she said it - that’s when she said the words that made me realize, really for the first time, the true genius of the man for which I had worked so hard.
“(Paraphrasing) Oh, this is all Barack. He’s running every bit of this campaign - he is a brilliant organizer“.
A brilliant organizer. A brilliant organizer. I’ve never forgotten those words, and knowing what I know now about how Senator Obama has been able to inspire millions of apathetic Americans to get off their butts and get engaged, how he’s amassed more money for his campaign through individual donations than any politician in history, how he’s given birth to a new generation of activists and taught them not only how to get and stay involved, but how to organize to get others involved as well? I can’t do anything BUT laugh at the idea that Republicans would belittle his community organizing skills, since it’s the ultimate organized community that is poised to help him kick John McCain’s butt in November.
Yep. I’m truly gratified. Because, though it is not easy to turn from the train wreck, watching night after night, wanting to look away, but being somehow unable to, I have heard nothing, and I mean NOTHING that could possibly be mistaken as truth, and I know what millions and millions around the country and the world like me know - this is Senator Obama’s time, and no amount of name calling, belittling, or posturing from a chorus of Republican loud-mouths will change that.
And so, little Miss Firearms, go ahead and mock Senator Obama’s community organizing past. While you and your buddies shoot moose and swill beer and have a great laugh, Senator Obama’s organized community will continue to do the work that will push us across the historic finish line to a new direction for this country, and a total rejection of the last eight years of damaging, deceptive, destructive, and divisive Bush policies. Let ‘em say what they want - I’m PROUD to be a part of the organized Obama community, and proud of every bit of the journey that has brought Senator Barack Obama to the edge of history - including those days in Chicago long ago.

Maybe I am wrong. Maybe my 18 years of practice and direct involvement with insurance and my 25 years in business haven't taught me anything. Maybe I am just a silly country boy not sufficeintly sofisticatied to question the naked empreror. Maybe my math is different than yours. 2 Trillion dollars of health care for almost 300,000,000 people in 2006 and soon to be 4 trillion by 2011 (that means it doubled in 5 years that is a rate of price increase of 14.4%) This means that on average Americans spend 6,666.67 a year on health care. That would be $555.56 a month each. Each and every person in this nation. For a family of 4 that would be $2222.22 a month. And that is with a 2 trillion dollar health care spending. You would have to double that for the 2011 level of spending. That is a LIE!! NO WAY IN THE WORLD WE COULD BE SPENDING THAT MUCH ON HEALTH CARE SERVICES. WE HAVE BEEN HAD!!
We are spending that money on bueaurocrats. Executives of insurance companies and governmental gold brickers known as medicaid and medicare. All of which are totally unnecesary. Do not believe me. Then I challenge you to show me meidcare or medicaid or insurance representative in your doctor's office, your hospital ER, your hospital room, or having to fight back their emotions as they tell you that that simply could not save your loved ones life. They are no where to be seen. So why are they making more money than the entire hospital...CEO OF UNITED HEALTH GROUP 2005 EARNED INCOME (what a joke... earned income...please) $124,800,000.00 that is as much as 3 hospitals put together. (HOSPITALS are going broke by the way). One man!! But the doctor's office could actually treat all your basic medical needs for about 500 a month. Did I say a month.. I meant A YEAR!! You could give yourself a hell of a stimulous package if you would only think about what you are doing!! (See mygadoctor.com)
The wake up call came to me when the insuance company was playing games with my child. MY child. They played this game until I told them I was a doctor and then like magic all the problems and need for review disappeared and then all I had to do was 'TELL YOUR DOCTOR TO GO TO OUR WEB PAGE AND WE WILL GET THIS THING APPROVED IN 2 MIN.S' That is when I started to realize what my African patient was trying to ask me many times when he kept repeating on his visits to my office.... " Why am I paying the insurance company and you, why don't I just pay you" Then I got it!! I realized what he was trying to say. It's stupid to pay someone for health care other than your doctor... isn't paying someone else going to make it cost more...A LOT MORE!!! ABOUT 124.8 MILLION DOLLARS MORE!!! x THE THOSANDS OF HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIESN OUT THERE!! My patients's name was SOLOMON!!
