Obama visibility project.
Links are for Oct 17th events,
but locations will repeat on Oct. 24th, and Oct. 31th.
We dont need any stinking lawn signs for visibility, lets make our own signs from poster board, which is available at stores like CVS or Pathmark for a dollar. Grab a magic maker and make a sign, do your own thing. Bring your video camera and then post the video to you tube, and don't forget to include the tags, “Essex for Obama” & “Barack Obama”.
You are cordially invited to lunch with Tom Wyka, candidate for Congress in New Jersey's 11th district.
Tom Wyka advocates for Clean Elections, FairTaxes, Green Collar jobs, Universal Healthcare
and an end to the war in Iraq. Tom is facing incumbent Republican Rodney Frelinghuysen for
the second time. Congressman Frelinghuysen votes with President Bush 90% of the time. With
Internal polling show NJ-11 to be a single digit race, with unaffiliated voters breaking for Tom, 8
to one, Tom has show Rodney to be vulnerable in 2008. Sending Tom Wyka to congress will provide
Barack Obama with a strong ally in Congress, as we face the task of repairing our country.

Barack Obama has pulled off the gloves and gone for bare knuckle political fisticuffs. Obama for America has paid for a new website that goes after John McCain and his involvement in the Keating 5.

The paid for is at the bottom. This is Barack biding his time and waiting until just the right moment to unleash each phase of his strategy.
Again its was a bit cloudy and drizzly, but the weather cleared up, I then went to the Livingston street fair and then drove up to West Caldwell for their very large street fair.
In 2006 I saw Congressman Frelinghuysen walking the fair, but regardless I had to represent, I passed out lit and generally supported the ticket.
Its a shame that Rodney Frelinghuysen, a Vietnam veteran does so little to support his fellow veterans. Congressman Frelinghuysen is in the rare position to represent those who gone into harms way, and come back home to find the VA underfunded with discretionary funding that can't be relied upon during the fiscal year.
Most or all Veterans organizations that score members of congress on their voting record on Veterans issues place Congressman Frelinghuysen at the bottom of the list.
Since 2000 Congressman Frelinghuysen has voted against everything on the Vets agenda, except for items that were passed unanimously or nearly so. According to Disabled Veterans of America, Congressman Frelinghuysen has the worst record on disabled veterans in the NJ House delegation.

It started out rainy, and on my way down BLoomfield ave from Montclair to West Caldwell, there was an accident in Verona which made me a bit late to the Dunkin Donuts on Passiac Ave. One other person had signed up to canvass, and I think I missed them, or maybe the little bit of rain scared them away...
WE all should know that canvassing in the rain impresses people more.
My list had a lot of unaffiliated voters, and democrats, even so I didnt get any fours or fives, just ones, twos, and threes, which is really encouraging. And my dems were all 1,1,1, which is excellent.
In 2007 Len Luciano made his second run for West Caldwell Council, he lost by 24 votes. I know that if we work hard we can deliver towns like West Caldwell that are traditionly thought to be republican but have been trending Democrat for years. Millburn is another example of democrats winning in areas that are thought to be republican.
We're canvassing West Caldwell next weekend. Millburn and Fairfield are next.
Here is my group dedicated to defeating Rodney Frelinghuysen in West Essex, and delivering the vote for Obama, Lautenberg, Wyka:http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/WestEssexforObamaLautenbergWyka
Its not about Obama winning, its about Obama winning bigtime, and having coat tails, winning 80 seats in the House and 12 more in the Senate. Very much like 1932.

Well, the Dow is falling again today, but considering that the Senate didn't do anything that was unexpected, last night's vote had little effect on the reaction of Wall Street and companion global exchanges. We'll have to wait for the House vote for that. Of course the big story today is the Biden-Palin debate. It will likely draw a bigger audience than Obama-McCain 1. First of all, it's not taking place on a Friday night, and second, people will be watching this for the same reasons they watch NASCAR or the Indy 500. People want to see the crash. They'll be watching and listening for the gaffe, stumble, or clever one-liner. Between the two candidates, the viewing audience likes the odds. Look for big numbers tonight.Much has been made of the McCain campaign's efforts to lower expectations for Sarah Palin. Of course, recent Palin interviews have helped that cause as well. But tonight, it will be interesting to see what standard the viewing audience chooses when it comes to judging her performance. Does Palin have to be more substantive than Biden? Up for the job as Vice President? Show she has the capacity to step in as President? Of just perform better than she did during the Katie Couric interviews?Given that we're a nation at war and confronting the most daunting economic crisis of our generation, I hope we set the bar high for both of them. I hope neither crashes. It would be terrific if we could simply hear 90 minutes worth of sound debate over issues that will shape America's future. Let's watch and see! Go Joe!

NO FURTHER COMMENTS............. I WAISTED MY TIME AND MONEY BUT IT WAS WORTH READING IT BECAUSE I NOW KNOW THE TRUTH FROM THE LIES.
AND THIS BOOK IS THE OPPOSITE FROM THE TRUTH....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was wondering if these group has any plans for organizing anytime in the near future? Im currently planning to organize with people in Hoboken but I would love to do it right here in Essex County. Please let me know?.... and Im sorry if there are other blogs on this subject... its my first day :)
YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!!! CHANGE AMERICA
The media have been complicit in not reporting the real math in the Democratic Primary. Barack is not going to lose this nomination, and everyone knows it. Hillary's campaign, badly crafted as it was, is simply hanging onto the bumber of the car. Bill Richardson has signaled that it's time to let it go.
It's an amazing time in our history. I remember writing about how I believed Barack would be the nominee on the day of his announcement both here and on my other blog. I always believed in the candidate, but the campaign has exceeded my highest expectations. There's lots of work ahead of us, but thus far, nicely done.
I'll be shifting my content back to my new blog Client Service Insights (CSI/Season 2). I look forward to talking about all that this candidate and this campaign has taught about the future of America and the world.
Just thought I'd let people see a bit of how open and honest Barack is, not that we didn't already know it.
To set an example in the 2008 presidential election, I am refusing to accept campaign contributions from registered federal lobbyists, political-action committees, and I won't take contributions bundled by lobbyists. I'm also reporting any contributions that are bundled -- whether it's from a small-town doctor or a chief executive officer. If we can open up the system and pull aside the curtain of secrecy, then we might be able to start changing the way Washington works. -Sen. Barack Obama in the Chicago Tribune
So I’m walking back from the bank wearing my Barack shirt and reading Barack Obama In His Own Words while juggling a bunch of bags. Now I’m a pretty clumsy guy so, of course, I drop the book and it tumbles…into a sewer. Yup. I gather up some sticks I think may be strong enough and I lean over the curb to fish the book out. Cars are whizzing by and all when this black pick up truck putters by and puts on the brakes. I’m using a stick to nudge the book into a dry brown paper bag as the slightly southern voice of an older Black American Man chimes in, “You dead?”
I lift my head up and he frowns, “Nah. You’re just stupid.”
I smile as he tells me how dangerous trying to retrieve this book is. In his dirt smeared white T-shirt and black jeans that are a few sizes too big for him, the man asks me what is so important that I would reach into the sewer to get back. I think he was relieved that I was trying to get a book. He promises me he lives close by and drives off to get some tools. I listed to Rachel Portman’s theme song to Cider House Rules while I wait.
The pick up putters to the corner and the Man emerges with three rather large tools. He offers me a gardening hoe.
This man stands in the street while I use his gardening hoe to fish my book out of the sewer. We shake hands and I offer to give him one of my Barack shirts for free.
He releases a kinda cool smirk, mulls it over, then sighs that retired man sigh, “I’ma sign for him anyway. You give that to someone who ain’t. Cause I’ma sign for him anyway.”
And with that, he was gone.
