Author of French nationality, Elisabeth SILVA was born on April 30th, 1968 in Casablanca.
Already, at the age to play with dolls, she has her first premonitory dreams. Later, she discovers that she has " a sixth developed sense ". This oddity will become in the course of time a hobby. The paradise of her cherished childhood darkens, at the age of adolescence, when her parents divorce. After this painful experience, she writes her first collection of poems titled "Migrations Intérieures". Later, at the secondary school, she shows a passion for philosophy. She gets her high school degree, in literary section, and obtains the most praiseworthy note for her philosophy test, which one is published in the annals of the " Bonnes copies du Baccalauréat " by HATIER Editions. This stylistic composition will give her later some zeal and wings for writing. She persues, postgraduate studies, in foreign languages. Afterwards, she obtains engineer's diploma in a Business School, specialized in International Marketing, and enters directly the world of work. In the course of the years, she weaves a deep relationship with Marc, her elder brother and her tender and pious mother near whom, she will spent her " thirty glorious " years mainly in the Southwest of France. In 2001, she successfully passes the nursing examination, but unfortunately she renounces to her late vocation after a delicate surgical operation of slipped disc. Fate does not exist, she discovers the benefits of hypnosis, achieves the creation of a CD Rom titled "Les Pouvoirs de l’Hypnose " before becoming hypnotherapist. Elisabeth has above all a sensitive soul. She defends a noble cause, that of the childhood in danger. Since 2000, encouraged by her brother, Marc, who is a Police officer, Elisabeth gracefully proposes her faculties, namely, Extra Sensorial Perceptions (E.S.P.) to the missing children cells. So, they unify their efforts and respective skill and try to lead informal inquiries upon missing children cases, yet unresolved, such as the tragic disappearance of the girl, Marion WAGON, occured on November 14th, 1996. Afterwards, in 2002, they undertake to investigate upon the Leo Balley missing child case occurred in July 19th, 1996 in Grenoble. After a detailed examination of the E.S.P.’s folder, beforehand sent to the Brigade of Local Research located in Grenoble, the Warrant officer OMER, convinced of the relevance of her revelations, hurries to reopen the Léo Balley’s file, namely, six years after his disappearance. At this turning point, their life is turning into an endless nightmare. Elisabeth becomes a target and Marc, the only official of the family is becoming, at this beginning of the summer 2003, a pursued policeman. To escape from hostile pursuits and tracking, Elisabeth accompanied by her mother and her brother, Marc SILVA, Police Sergeant appointed to the Central Bureau for Repression of Banditism, go into a forced exile and live hidden in England, during nearly five months. Snubbed by the French chancellery and as a last resort, the SILVA-MARQUEZ family apply for political asylum in the U.S.A, on January16th, 2004. Instar of the Dreyfus affair, we became victims of an unprecedented situation within the History of the French Vth Republic. The current events, of French politics, as everyone, knows, emphasizes a quite particular conception of the functioning of the Institutions of the Vth Republic. Regrettably, we obviously notice, that French Institutions are taken hostage by the shock of the personal ambitions of individuals' nucleus, which prevail over quite other consideration, including over application of law. These Manichean methods are at least disturbing. Obviously, an oligarchical regime has been established. This one seems to hold the rudder of a Republic, entangled in the Affairs, if we refer to the successive crises of the unprecedented riots of districts of 2005 in the History of France, to the intestine quarrels of the Clearstream affair or better still the sulphurous SILVA-MARQUEZ affair of State, for a long time hush up by lax ruling classes. On the other hand, the evocation of the participation of my brother Mr. Marc SILVA, in the arrest of two figures of the organized crime duly named, appears at the right place in the columns of press. In this affair, the non-compliance with the anonymity of a police officer seems to be the order to be followed by editorial staffs. The puppeteer of this cabal remains to be unmasked. If I refer to the comparative study of the cases REDEKER and SILVA, I can only yell my indignation in front of the execrable treatment of the SILVA-MARQUEZ Affair and wonder about the moral and political justification of such a disparity of the rights in front of the law. Why Mister Marc SILVA, and the members of his family were not fulfilled in the official demand of police protection in spite of all elements of proofs brought to the knowledge of the French police and political authorities? From August 20th, 2003 till this day, we are always exposed to a denial of justice and to a continuous moral harassment, (cf Page 65 of the " Open letter to the French and foreign Authorities “ of Marc SILVA of April 15th, 2006.). The denial of justice is proved in the SILVA-MARQUEZ affair and the legal system persists with stubbornness in blocking it, even intend to bury it. If Emile Zola could hear us, no doubt that this high man would turn around in its grave and would vituperate, as he made it, so splendidly in 1898, in the same terms, which have taken really, no wrinkle: " I denounce to the consciousness of fair people this pressure of authorities on the justice of the country. There are abominable political customs which dishonour a free Nation ". Peace to his greatness of soul. This STATE OF EXCEPTION not only has to hold attention of French and foreign Authorities called to the rescue but also to incite them to intervene because, obviously we were the epicenter of a real earthquake. Although, I am careful not to make any judgment upon the affair of the professor of philosophy, above mentioned, I rebel against the so cruel fate, that black sheep of the police Institution imposed on us, despite legal rules and in defiance of our lives. Here is the reward of the sacrificial consecration of a Man of honour, dedicated body and soul to his Homeland, insuring, during 17 years the protection of his fellow countrymen, 17 years of good and loyal services swept by a lapel of sleeve, only because he has thought, one day, to defend a noble cause, that of miscellaneous affairs of unresolved missing chidren cases, among which, one remains classified Secret Defence: Léo Balley affair in Grenoble. Thus, I deduct a lesson of life, from this unspeakable event, this affair will remain a hammered splinter for ever into the depths of my flesh. Ungratefulness is so striking in the questions of interest. It is with a certain delay, I deeply regret it, that the undersigned addresses herself to the highest Authority of the United States of America, which you embody, Mr President, and asks you to examine carefully and with the greatest diligence the present autobiographical work, which I have the extreme pleasure to autograph to you.¶ It has passed one year since the publishing of my work titled "Les Piliers de la Traîtrise" which was given, in due time, to the U.S. press organ, namely¶ The Herald Tribune, located in Neuilly sur Seine (France), on March 17th, 2005.¶ This book given birth in the pain, shall be understood, above all, as the duty of a French citizen to denounce serious French politico-judicial dysfunctions, which surround the nebula "Léo Balley" affair classified SECRET DEFENCE.¶ This duty of memory towards my family, whose name had been soiled, and whose life had been broken on January 16th, 2004 in New York, in the U.S.A. must ring the knell for the age of the impunity of a fringe of the American Administration, which carries the responsibility for the violations of the Humans rights, of which my family and myself had been victims.¶All these degrading and inhuman treatments relating to acts of torture had been naturally denounced, with reason, in my book, which remains, material evidences in the support, a real exhibit.
Persons responsible for this crime, namely the I.N.S executioners, in their Immigration officers' quality, and gaolers of York’s prison, seriously soiled the reputation of the United States of America, already considerably tarnished by recent acts of torture and of inhumanity committed at Guantanamo’s Bay in CUBA or still in the prison of Abou-Grahïb in IRAQ.
These despicable behaviours, you will agree upon that, shouldn’t have to exist in a Democracy, which respects itself. Elements of facts reported in my autobiographical narrative and the enclosed material proofs, prove the fault of the American Administration, which violated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the General assembly, resolution 217 A III), on December 10th, 1948, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights comes into force, on March 23rd, 1976, and in fine, the Third Agreement of Geneva.
To better explain my arguments, please find below a brief reminder of the facts:
I/ HISTORIC:¶ Remind of the thread of outstanding events:¶
Thus, on August 31st, 2003, my brother, Mister Marc SILVA, at the time of the facts, Sergeant of National police, appointed to the O.C.R.B. (Central Bureau for Repression of Banditism), our retired mother, Madam Marie-José MARQUEZ and myself, Miss Elisabeth SILVA, were all three forced to go into exile in England to escape tracking and hostile pursuits exercised against us on the French territory, apparently, in reason to the reference to a classified SECRET DEFENCE Affair, namely, Léo BALLEY affair in Grenoble, for which, my brother and myself had been heard on rogatory commission, on February 26th, 2002 by the Brigade of Research of Grenoble (B.R.D.), represented by Mr OMER.
In any case, and by virtue of international standards on the subject, we should have been authorized to exercise our right of asylum, with actual assistance of a lawyer, without means of pressure, notably within the framework of a complete and fair procedure, which forbids formally to be exposed to measures which strike a blow at individuals, that are the violations of our fundamental rights.
The States of New York and York (U.S.A) are parties to the Agreement of 1951 relative to the status of refugees of 1967. Besides, New York and York are also parties to the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (PIDCP) which arranges, that nobody shall be placed in detention, in a illegal way, or subjected to torture or every other punishments or cruel and inhuman punishments.
At the end of each of these international legal instruments and international laws, the American Authorities owed to respect the following articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, by virtue of which :
Article 7 : No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
5. Anyone who has been the victim of unlawful arrest or detention shall have an enforceable right to compensation.
I owe to remind you, Mr President, the importance of the responsibility, which falls to you in the SILVA-MARQUEZ, French-American affair of state, carried as a last resort in the knowledge of the highest Authorities, on the global scale and, whose repercussions have already found their resonance. You don’t ignore that this scandalous injustice, that we try hard to hush up for three long years, by all the means, may burst at any time and cause a big stir with the peculiarity, that presents the SILVA-MARQUEZ file, from which it emerges that a French policeman, Servant of the State, his 60-year-old mother and her young sister, all three innocents of any offences or crimes, had been arbitrarily imprisoned on the American ground, where they came to exercise their justifiable right of asylum application. It is collectively allowed, that torture is the term, which appoints any act, which is deliberately imposed on person, in the purposes notably to obtain information, to intimidate her, to press her or a third person, for a motive or the other one. It is all the more grave, when such pains and sufferings are attributable to members of the police force or quite other member acting in official title and belonging, above all to a democratic society.
It is there the duty of the President of the United States of America to denounce publicly crimes committed by his own camp, so that the American justice should punish executioners, whose identities appear, unambiguously on the enclosed documents, which give evidence of my assertions. I appeal to your sense of responsibilities to redress moral, physical and material serious damages undergone by my family, to repay honours to my brave and so much honourable brother, formerly French Police sergeant, Mister Marc SILVA, to our brave and deserving mother, Madam Marie-José MARQUEZ, and finally to my autobiographical work, a poignant testimony of brotherhood and courage, which has already found a favourable echo among, illustrious readers, such as Sovereigns, Presidents, French politics and foreign Ambassadors, of any cleavages. On the reading of all information carried in your knowledge in my book " Les Piliers de la Traîtrise" then completed by elements of supplementary proofs, contained in " The open letter to the French and foreign Authorities ", written by Mr Marc SILVA, my brother, on April 15th, 2006, it is unmistakably up to the President of the United States of America, to see that our family might quickly reborn of her ashes and obtain redress and public excuses. This denunciation of arbitrary and illegal detention, instrumented by contemptible persons, must be followed by effect. Despite pitfalls, the tragedy of my family will not stay an unspoken, within world History, because rumour has already crossed the borders to reach the highest spheres. Could you henceforth have the last word in this horrifying affair and mark by your imprint the end of a slander, by registering you within the lineage of the one, who was and will remain, in the collective memory, a great Man, Mister Abraham Lincoln.

Dear Sirs, By these some lines, the undersigned thanks very sincerely, those, who expressed us the testimony of their support, further to the sending of my book “Les Piliers de la Traîtrise” published by - Les Editions La Lanterne Paris, in March, 2005. I am pleased to hand you over, enclosed, the news bulletin of October 1st, 2006, and the mail of the Home Office of last June 22nd, that I received. Please allow me, by means of this free column, containing more information upon the scandalous management of the SILVA-MARQUEZ affair, to seize the French and foreign Authorities upon the question of " The necessity of the duty of interference against the state of exception ", which quite particularly has to hold your attention. The President of the French Republic seems to have understood the urgency of our situation, judging by the referral ordering to the Home Office, represented by Nicolas SARKOZY, not only to answer me personally, but also to examine loyally our request concerning a denunciation of STATE CRIME, supporting evidences, which targets the SILVA-MARQUEZ family. I remind that The Home Office has been duly informed, under the cover of the hierarchy, of the threat which has arisen over the last August 18th, 2003, by the Police sergeant, Marc SILVA - Roll 343180, who was then appointed to the O.C.R.B. (Central Bureau for Repression of Banditism), who legally asked for a moved closer protection, duly motivated for his family. THREE YEARS of fight, sufferings, affronts, slanders, endless expectations, namely 1138 excessively days, now, of torture imposed by the same moralists who laud, to everybody, without even frowning, the zero tolerance for all the crimes and offences liable to penalty, without, however applying it to their small person. An absence of imminent pursuit and condemnation against the civil servants of The Ministries of the Justice and of the Home Office, culprits of abuse of authority, would be obviously, a grave insult to the intelligence and to the high function, of the Head of State, Mister Jacques Chirac. As for us, SILVA-MARQUEZ family, we laud radically the break with these methods worthy of a Banana republic. So, the national and international duty of interference must be immediately executed, to prevent the execution of others crimes. If, indeed, the gravity and the urgency of the SILVA-MARQUEZ affair have been well understood by everybody, only concrete measures will be capable to make fall the Pillars of treason, which arbitrarily, confine us in the state of exception. This state of exception decreed, by high officials affected by political smallness, let us agree on that, strikes a blow at the honour and at the greatness of France as well as at its brilliance worldwide. In front of the passivity of Ministries, entitled to deal with the urgency, observers of the national and international stage have to open a reflection, draw up bridges between Nations, to start actions with the supranational organ of the ONU, so that the criminals in connection with a terrorist enterprise should be punished with severity and impartiality.According to the time-honoured, usually expressed, quite rightly by former Home secretary, Mr Charles PASQUA, at the present time, Senator of the Department of “Les Hauts de Seine (92)", “We must terrorize the terrorists " and not use terror against three innocents, who undertook a noble cause, that of the childhood in danger and besides, agreed to reply to further information sought by the Warrant officer OMER of the Brigade of Local Research of Grenoble, affair Léo Balley classified SECRET DEFENCE. Last night on Olbermann the new polls came out showing a solid bump for Barack, not too bad. I am curious as to why these articles are still popping up from "The Hill.com" titled: "Hispanic Dems warn Obama he risks losing Latinos." Of course I found it linked through a right-wing website but as I read through it I did start pondering.
Clearly, the Hispanic votes was largely behind Hillary Clinton throughout the primary seasson, I don't think anyone can deny that. The polls last night showed that Hispanics were beginning to move towards Barack but given the fact that John McCain has been a pretty favorable politician towards issues related to immigration could this article be of some truth? Would the Democats/Independent Hispanics actually go towards McCain?

We are average middle class white voters who work in different professions. Susan is a Registered Nurse in Paducah, KY while I am a Senior Special Agent with the Illinois Department of Revenue, Bureau of Criminal Investigtion. Having worked in Illinois law enforcement for 28 years, I have for years been aware of Barack Obama, his relationships with other influencial Illinois politicians, including Former United States Senator Paul Simon (D-IL), and his record in the Illinois legislature.
Senator Simon was one of the most respected, most ethical & moral members of the United States Senate. Barack enjoyed a very close relationship with Senator Simon and viewed Senator Simon as a role model and mentor. That speaks volumes to the voters of Southern Illinois in particular.
Barack enjoys tremendous support with Illinois Police Officers and has supported many legislative measures supported by Illinois law enforcement organizations. He has a well-earned reputation for being honest, fair, and straight forward with his constituents. He has been attacked recently by the media and the Clinton & McCain campaigns for his voting record while in the Illinois legislature. What those campaigns failed to mention was that his voting record was completely representative of the Illinois political process. Illinois has its own brand of politics, as does most state legislatures. If examined, the records of virtually all Illinois legislators would show a significant number of "present" votes. Its all about political posturing.
Susan has been involved in the healthcare profession in Kentucky for years as a home health care nurse, hospital charge nurse, and as Director of an Adult Day Care Center for the disabled. She is particularly impressed with Barack Obama's plan for healthcare reform. She is well aware that the Clinton plan's desire to force healthcare on everyone without taking into consideration their ability to pay, will create additional financial hardship on many low income families, and the penalties that she proposes for non-compliance will only further frustrate those families who are already doing all they can to make ends meet and don't need their President making their life even worse by penalizing them for not buying mandatory health insurance when they are working hard and barely able to keep food on the table. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she has a plan to subsidize those families, but if she does, she hasn't provided the details of such a plan.
Overall, we have heard the plans of Barack Obama on many issues and we firmly believe the policies and reforms he wants to put in place are the best for the country and the world. We believe he is the right man for the job and will be able to calm world fears about America's foreign policy and heal damaged relations with many foreign nations.
I have thought about many reasons not to make Hillary Clinton the Democratic party nominee, and could go on and on about them: she is opportunistic, manipulative, riding on Bill Clinton's coat tails, less electable, has high negatives, accepts money from lobbyists, is divisive, publicly announced John McCain would be a better commander in chief, and on and on. However, after the recent Geraldine Ferraro controversy, I have now been able to narrow it down to one reason Mrs. Clinton should not, can not, be our party's nominee.
If elected, Mrs. Clinton will merely be a continuation of the last eight years of presidential politics. Although her political positions on several key topics are more to my liking than Mr. Bush, her tactics seem to be the same. She can not admit her mistakes (from the most recent Ferraro issue to her vote to authorize force in Iraq), she uses negative campaign tactics, she is dividing the Democratic party, and fueling the divide between Democrats and Republicans, between Americans.
Anyone reading blogs posted here does not need commentary on each of these topics to know and understand them. I suspect that is why many of us are on this site. We know Mr. Obama represents what we hope is a new kind of politician, to change what we, and much of America, have become so disgusted with. What is needed is for the rest of our party not only to see that, but to understand why it is so dangerous to the general election.
My question is how can we make that point to the Democrats that support Mrs. Clinton without being what we don't want to become? I want Mr. Obama to win based on his positions, intelligence, record of success, and judgement. Those same traits can carry him to victory in November, too. But it won't be easy when the opponent plays by a different set of rules.
This evening I attended a Town Hall Meeting in Parma Hts, Ohio, about fifteen minutes from home. Barack Obama arrived at 8pm and spoke for about an hour and a half, including a question and answer period. As one would expect since I am on this site, I agree with him on the issues. What I was most impressed with was his discussion about participation, transparency, and reaching out to others. He encouraged all Americans to participate in their government and said it was important, not only to voice an opinion but also to hold government officials accountable. He talked about transparency in government, and used as an example holding his health care policy meetings on C-Span, so all voters can see how the process works and where their elected officials, lobbyists, drug companies, insurance companies, and his administration stand. He talked about reaching out to those who disagree, ranging from Republicans to Iran. In his speech he mentioned something JFK said about not negotiating out of fear, but also don't fear to negotiate.
Through my work as a police officer, I had an opportunity to hear John McCain speak when he came to the city I work in earlier in the week. The two events don't compare. Although Mr. McCain gave a good speech, and I respect him but disagree with many of his positions, he did not have the same presence Mr. Obama had. He did not seem to motivate, encourage, or inspire the wey Mr. Obama did. Even if all else were equal, that quality of Mr. Obama, his ability to inspire and create hope when many had stopped looking for it, is the reason he needs to be the next President of the United States of America.
I have had several questions of why and what I am speaking about in the United Kindom. I am a Law Enforcement Officer in North Carolina who is studying for his PhD in Investigative Psychology at the University of Liverpool under Dr. David Canter. As part as my studies, I give speaches related to law enforment issues, forensic psychology and how investigative psychology can assist with may areas in the criminal justice system for the International Academy of Investigative Psychology.
This time, while I am in the United Kingdom, I am speaking in London two different times and places along with a speach in Manchester and one in Birmingham on how Investigative Psychology can assist in Murder Investigations and Serial Killer Investigations.
I hope this answers the questions several people have asked why I was in the UK giving speaches.

Although we all have political positions that help us to decide who we support during election time, I havea few other reasons that might help those struggling to decide between Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton.
In the next few blog entries, I am going to highlight some of my reasons for preferring Mr. Obama over Mrs. Clinton. I hope, in return, readers (if there are any!), will share theirs.
First, in this presidential race, the only thing more important than electing Mr. Obama is returning a Democrat to the White House. Between the two Demacratic candidates, Mr. Obama is clearly more capable of winning against any of the Republicans, but especially against John McCain. This statement is supported by many polls, but also by the high negative opinion rate of Mrs. Clinton. Whether or not the high negatives are deserved, they exist. As I wrote in a previous blog, I know several coworkers that would vote for Mr. Obama but would not Mrs. Clinton, despite her political positions more closely matching those of Mr. McCain's.
Since winning the presidency is the goal, a vote for Mr. Obama will help to make that goal a reality.
I am trying to unite a group of Law Enforment Officers to support Obama's bid to the White House. Please let me know if you would like to join such a movement.

I work with a lot of people who claim to not like "liberals," which by their definition is anyone who is not a Republican. One guy even accuses John McCain of not being conservative. Yesterday we were arguing about who to support for President this year, and I was very vocal for Obama. All but one were solidly for either Mike Huckabee or John McCain. I found a tool on a website to that matches the candidate that most closely matches your beliefs and had my friend take the test. His top match was Obama, and he was very surprised. This inspred the others to take the test, and ALL but one had Senator Obama as their top match, even those who swore they were Republicans. After questioning the test itself, we found two more online candidate matching tools, and Senator Obama was the first pick on those too!
Too often we preach to the choir; talking politics only with like minded people, thinking that anything else will result in an argument and is futile. Some may not be up to the challenge of defending their own posotions. But I think we all need to take time to reach out to those who may not have decided, or even those who think they have, and show them that our candidate may support their beliefs more closely than the others. I was pleaseantly surprised with the results.
